Chapter 2: Let's do things right this time!

Fuutarou was panicking. He had no idea why he decided to just blurt that out. It was instinct. He wasn't even thinking when he said that. Why was that even the first thing that came to mind?

Just saying beautiful out loud randomly with no context to a girl that doesn't even know you (yet), is probably isn't the smartest thing to do. He only realized that right after he said it.

Now Itsuki was staring at him with a shocked expression and a noticeable blush on her face. She was currently in a similar situation as Fuutarou. She had no idea how to respond to that. An admittedly attractive guy her age had just called her beautiful. She isn't very experienced when it comes to boys and relationships due to recently transferring from a prestigious all girls school and primarily focusing on her studies. So this was definitely not something she was prepared for in the slightest!

"Uh…" Itsuki began to mumble as she couldn't find the words to reply to Fuutarou's comment. Her embarrassment simply did not allow her to.

Fuutarou shook his head and immediately lifted his tray from the table and made a motion to move away.

"I'm sorry! I don't know what came over me. That was rather rude of me. Please forgive me. I'll let you have this table. I'll go sit somewhere else."

Fuutarou was willingly giving up his lunch seat. That was something he never thought he would do. He didn't know that he had it within his heart to do that. It seems like the Gardener's Light is changing him fundamentally. There was also the fact that he wanted to save himself from the embarrassing situation he just put himself in. His lunch seat was a worthy sacrifice.

Before he could move to another table, he felt a soft touch on his arm. He looked behind to see the redhead tugging on his arm. Preventing him from taking another step.

"Wait! It's okay, you don't need to apologize for that. You don't have to move to another table if you don't want to. We can share if you like…" There was still a clear blush on her face. It must have been embarrassing for her to ask a boy to pretty much eat lunch with her. Especially the guy who had just called her beautiful. Fuutarou guessed she must have thought he felt like he offended her or something and didn't want him to feel guilty over that. How very considerate of her.

Fuutarou wouldn't forgive himself if he allowed her to eat alone after that. Plus the damage is already done. There is no going back now. He might as well roll with it!

"Sure. Yeah that's alright with me if you insist."

Fuutarou placed his tray back on the table and took his seat. Itsuki sat opposite of him. It was quiet for a few moments as neither spoke a word to each other. He could feel the awkwardness in the air. Itsuki had not even touched her plate as she kept looking down with a raging blush ever present on her face.

'She's all red. No one forced you, you know.' Fuutarou smiled at the flustered Nakano. She was the one who insisted on eating together and now she couldn't even look him in the eye. But it's probably his fault since he was the one who randomly called her beautiful.

"Look, Uesugi-kun is having lunch with a girl?"

"For real? I guess miracles do come true."

Fuutarou overheard the chatter of two students who walked past by the table he and Itsuki were sitting at. He grit his teeth in annoyance. 'Stupid teenagers, get a life! So what if I'm sitting with a beautiful girl? What's it to you?'

Fuutarou realized that he had called Itsuki beautiful again, albeit this time in his mind. He swears he isn't doing this on purpose. Is the word beautiful gonna keep coming up in his mind whenever he thinks of Itsuki? Well it's not like there was anything wrong with that right? It's not like she isn't beautiful. So he wasn't wrong.

Fuutarou looked down at her lunch and he raised his eyebrows at the large sum of food that was on her tray. Udon for 250 yen, two shrimp tempura for 150 each, squid tempura for 100, chicken tempura for 100, yam tempura for 100 yen, and a pudding dessert for 180 yen to top it off. That all combined to a total of 1,030 yen. She spent over 1,000 yen on lunch alone. It was safe to say that she had a big appetite. But of course he wasn't going to say that out loud. Fuutarou wasn't used to luxurious meals such as Itsuki's. Even though he knows he's seen this before in his visions, it still felt like a foriegn sight.

"You should start eating soon you know. I'm sure you don't want all of that delicious food to get cold." Fuutarou told her the youngest Nakano sister. This knocked her out of her trance. She looked up in embarrassment as she was completely neglecting her precious food!

"Y-Y-You're right. Sorry for spacing out like that." She nervously replied to the scholar as she found it difficult to make eye contact with the man. It looks like she still isn't over his compliment that he gave to her earlier.

Fuutarou waved his hand, "You're fine. I understand it's probably awkward for you. But don't let my presence stop you enjoying your meal!"

Itsuki nodded with a smile as she picked up her chopsticks. "Itadakimasu!" She began to dig into her lunch like she had been starved for days.

Fuutarou began to eat his rice. He then remembered that he's supposed to be studying. So he pulled an exam he took today and began to review it using his flashcards. This surprised Itsuki as it wasn't very common for a high schooler to be studying at lunch, which is the period mainly used as break from classes.

"You're studying in the middle of lunch?" She said to the boy across from her curiously.

Fuutarou nodded, "Yeah I'm reviewing an exam I took earlier today. I usually use lunch as time for studying since I'm always sitting by myself. So there isn't really much to do and nothing to distract me. Perfect time for me to study."

"Wow… that's pretty studious of you. Usually students use lunch as a break from studying."

"If you have time for a break, then you have time to study." Fuutarou replied matter of factly. Not taking his eyes off of his flashcards.

'Such work ethic!' Itsuki exclaimed in her thoughts. She wasn't expecting Fuutarou to be such a hard worker. That wasn't exactly common to find amongst teenagers. Normally, she would have chastised him for bad manners. But she actually respected him for his discipline. She did her best to study hard as well but for some reason, she always found trouble. And here is this young man doing it effortlessly. While eating, no less!

Speaking of eating, Itsuki took the time to look at what Fuutarou was having for lunch. When she laid her eyes upon his tray… she almost wanted to cry. It was pitiful to say the least. It didn't even look like lunch. How could a growing boy survive on meals like this. She doesn't even think that's on the menu! Could he really not afford anything more than that.

Itsuki took her chopsticks and lifted one of her shrimps. She pushed it towards Fuutarou's tray. The Warrior of Light noticed the gesture and raised his eyebrow at her.

"What are you doing?"

"Here, you can have some of my lunch. I wouldn't forgive myself if I let you just eat that small amount of food." The redhead explained. She usually doesn't share her food, but she had to make an exception. Seeing this guy not have a healthy lunch just made her feel sad. For some reason, she couldn't bear to see him suffer like that. She didn't know where this feeling came from but she took it upon herself to make sure she does her part in helping him get fed.

Fuutarou certainly wasn't expecting this. Itsuki willingly sharing food with somebody? And with a stranger of all people? The sky must be falling. He doesn't know why Itsuki is acting much nicer to him in their first meeting this time around, but he can't say he doesn't appreciate it. However he didn't want to make her share her food with him that she paid her money for.

"I really appreciate the offer. That's sweet and considerate of you. But you should feel absolutely no obligation to share food that you paid your money for with me. Especially since I'm just a stranger to you. Don't worry, I'll be just fine with this lunch. I get through the day with it everyday."

"Money is not an issue for me. I can buy ten of these meals without worry. I cannot allow myself to watch you eat such a pitiful meal right in front of me especially when I have more than enough to share with you. How can you study on an empty stomach? Please… just take it."

She started to become embarrassed and sported a red blush. Fuutarou was taken aback from this. He wasn't expecting such kindness from the youngest quintuplet. Where was this coming from? What was so different this time around? Was it something that he said?

'I might as well accept her offering. She won't stop until I do.' Fuutarou grabbed the piece of shrimp with his own chopsticks. Itsuki smiled in delight when he did, her embarrassed expression mostly gone. It was funny to Fuutarou for her to get embarrassed over such a silly thing. He thought it was really cute.

As soon as he took the shrimp into his mouth, he could only moan in bliss. Since he is used to eating his sorry excuse of a lunch everyday, he had no idea what the other items on the menu tasted like. He chewed in ecstasy. The taste was exquisite to him. This one shrimp was infinitely times better than his plate.

"So… is it good?" Itsuki asked nervously. She wanted Fuutarou to enjoy the food that she had given him, even if she didn't personally cook it.

"Is it good? Is it good?! It's amazing! I don't think I've ever tasted something as great as this!" Fuutarou exclaimed. The Warrior of Light was shocked at just how great the food was. He had no idea why it tasted that good. It sort of felt like it tasted too good.

'If the Gardener was able to enhance all of my senses, then it amplified my sense of taste as well! Yeah that explains it. No wonder a shrimp tastes so damn good. So now I get to enjoy the taste of food better as well? These powers rock!'

Fuutarou thanked the Gardener for blessing him with these abilities. He wondered what else he could do and how far he could take these new powers.

'Oh wait no I gotta remember to be responsible. My powers are not toys.' The scholar scolded himself before he could get too carried away with his excitement.

"I'm happy that you like it. You can take more if you want!" Itsuki told the boy. She was glad that he enjoyed the food. She saw no reason to let the boy eat such a crappy meal when she had plenty of food to share.

"No, you already gave me enough-"

"Take more food. Now."

Itsuki's eyes glowed a terrifying red as she glared at the boy with a menacing aura. Fuutarou almost jumped out of his seat at the 180 shift. He did not expect that. He thought it was fine to just accept the shrimp she gave to him but it seems like she won't allow for that to be the only thing he takes from her tray.

'Scary!' Fuutaoru cried internally at the crazy look in Itsuki's eyes. It reminded him of a horror film.

"I believe it would be wise to accept the young lady's offering, Guardian." The voice of the Gardener rang through Fuutarou's thoughts. He was about to question where the hell he came from but then remembered that he said they had formed a mental link with each other.

'And if I don't?'

"You probably don't want to find out what will happen if you don't."

'Fair enough.'

"Alright if you say so," Fuutarou shakily told Itsuki as he reached and grabbed more food from her tray. He made sure to not take too much but just enough to make Itsuki satisfied and not make her tell him to take even more.

Itsuki's scary aura and the glow from her eyes disappeared. She smiled happily as if nothing had happened at all. "Eat at your delight!"

'How can she change demeanors like that in an instant? She must have superpowers of her own.' Fuutarou shuddered at the thought of Itsuki or any of her sisters having superhuman abilities. He doesn't think he would be able to handle them even with his own abilities.

As Fuutarou graciously ate the food that Itsuki gifted him, he continued to study and review his exam. The redhead wondered how much he scored on the exam. Her curiosity got the best of her to where she grabbed his test paper without permission to find out.

"Hey-" Fuutarou yelled out in surprise. The nerve of this girl to just take a stranger's paper without asking.

"Let's see, Fuutarou Uesugi-kun, what did you get? You scored…" Itsuki gasped when she saw the number on the bottom of the paper. "O-One hundred?" She looked at Fuutarou in shock, "I-Is this real? I have never seen anyone get a perfect score on an exam before!"

Fuutarou put his hand on his face and turned away, "Oh, man, that's embarrassing!" He shouted in a mock tone. Itsuki pouted at the act.

"You showed me this on purpose!"

"What? You literally snatched the paper without my permission! I was just using it to study!"

Itsuki blushed, "Oh yeah… you're right. Sorry…" She laughed at her own silliness. Fuutarou sighed at the girl's ridiculousness.

'This girl… I swear she's crazy!'

Said girl looked down with a serious expression, "I hate to admit it, but I'm not great at studies. No that's an understatement. I'm terrible! My grades are pitiful and it's rare that I actually pass any exams. I'm envious of your studying skills and brilliance. Scoring perfectly on an exam seems impossible to me. I can't believe that a student exists with that level of skill and talent."

Now it was Fuutarou's turn to blush. He wasn't used to praise all that much and it coming from one of the women he holds dear to his heart just had a special effect on him.

He brushed her compliments off, "It's nothing really! Anyone can do it if they just study enough. It ain't really that much of a special feat."

"If anyone could do it then everyone would do it. But they don't."

Fuutarou's eyes widened when he heard that. He had never thought of it like that before. He never really thought his high grades were that big of an accomplishment. Yes he was proud of that but he never saw it as anything complicated or unachievable. He just decided to put the time into studying.

"Well… that's just because they don't put the time into studying. If they did then it really wouldn't be that complicated to get high marks like me." Fuutarou replied to Itsuki's retort. Teenagers tend to be interested in many other things rather than studying. So it is only natural that they don't put the proper amount of time into studying to achieve grades like his. All it takes is just a little discipline.

"I put time into studying and try really hard. But I still have bad grades. And that could be the case for many other students too. Not just me. So no, it isn't as easy as you're making it out to be." Itsuki countered Fuutarou's argument. She would have agreed with Fuutarou were it not for the fact that she tries her very best to study and get higher grades, but she pretty much fails every time. It clearly wasn't as simple as he was making it out to be. And to downplay his accomplishments was almost disrespectful in her eyes.

Fuutarou couldn't really come up with a proper response to that. It was true that Itsuki did her very best to study but for some reason, she always fell short. Her father wouldn't have hired him to tutor her and her sisters if they could just easily do it themselves.

"Sorry, I didn't think of it that way. You might be right. It probably is a little bit harder than I'm portraying it to be. I just don't think of it as some sort of grand achievement hehe."

"Maybe not to you…. But for someone like me, it's my dream. I wanna be a teacher someday. But I can't do that if I can't even graduate high school. And the way things are looking right now, that just might be the case."

Itsuki then clapped her hands together as a brilliant thought entered her mind. "I know! Fate brought us together for a purpose. You can help me study! Will you please teach me?"

Fuutarou felt a sense of deja vu. He remembered hearing those words from his future visions when he met the Gardener. He also remembered the response he was supposed to give to her. He cringed at the thought of rejecting that beautiful face. Why was his future self so selfish and insensitive? Couldn't he have seen that this girl desperately needed his help? Why did he have to get paid in order for him to get motivated to do it? That's why he didn't consider himself a Hero. A True Hero does not ask to get paid or rewarded to do the right thing. He does it because it's the right thing and that's all the reason and motivation he needs.

Before he could answer Itsuki's request, his cell phone vibrated. He checked to see what it was and sure enough, it was the girl's father calling him. Just as what his own father said he would do. He stood up from his chair and picked up his tray.

"I'm sorry to leave like this, but I really have to take this call. It's important. Thank you for the meal. I greatly appreciate it. It was nice meeting you! I'll see you around, beautiful!"

Fuutarou turned around and walked away, leaving a confused and embarrassed Itsuki whose face now had the same color as her hair.

'I DID IT AGAIN! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME?!'

"Hello Mr. Nakano," Fuutarou greeted his new employer when he picked up the call.

"No need to be so formal with me kid. I used to change your diapers. Just call me Uncle Maruo." Maruo Nakano, adopted father of the Quintuplets, told his new employee through the phone. Fuutarou was surprised at how casual he sounded. He wasn't like that in his visions. But he didn't think much of it and just went along with his request.

"Okay then. My father told me that you're hiring me to tutor your daughters."

"That is correct. They are quintuplets, meaning that they are 5 sisters born from the same egg. I want you to teach them until graduation. And of course you will be paid at the rate of 5 students." The physician answered. Fuutarou hummed in thought. So this was how Fate planned for him to meet these special girls.

"Why did you choose me to tutor your daughters, Uncle Maruo?"

Maruo raised his eyebrows a bit at Fuutaoru's question, "Besides the fact that you're the number 1 student? Well, I am aware of your family's debt problem. I've tried to help your father out by lending him some money in the past but he would always refuse. The reason being that it wasn't to use someone else's hard earned money to fix his own problems. He wanted to earn his own money and pay off the debt on his own. I thought he was being an idiot, but I still respected his decision. But with this tutoring job, you should be able to help to get rid of that debt completely. And Isanari won't be able to say anything to me because you would have earned that money yourself by helping my daughters graduate. And let me tell ya, they really need your help."

Fuutarou sweatdropped at the last sentence. His daughters were really that dumb huh? He has no choice but to help then if that was the case. His dad was really stubborn for not just accepting Maruo's money but he can't really get mad at that. Fuutarou would have probably done the exact same thing. He prefers to earn his stuff. An Uesugi doesn't take handouts!

"Why do you ask?"

Fuutarou sighed, "Well at first, I had some doubts about teaching them all at once. But, I'm full of confidence now! I promise I will help them graduate without any problem!" Fuutarou exclaimed with passion and grit.

Maruo smiled, he was glad that Fuutarou was motivated to help his daughters. "I thank you for taking the time to help and teach my daughters. They will be in your care hands then. I may not have time to always be there and spend time with them, but I still care for and love them. I'm confident in your ability to tutor them. Their current grades are abysmal and at their current rate, they will flunk out of highschool without your help. They desperately need you. Their future is in your hands."

"Yosh! I won't let you down Uncle!"

Maruo chuckled, "You better not. You will begin tutoring them tomorrow after school. I will text you the address of their apartment where you will be tutoring them. I'll also let them know that you will be coming. Let me know if you need anything or if they give you any trouble. I imagine they might not like the idea of a stranger coming to their home and tutoring them."

"Oh well, I guess it's a good thing I've already met one of them then."

"You've already met one of my daughters? Which one?" Maruo asked with intrigue.

"It was Itsuki. We had lunch together."

"Itsuki-kun, huh? I see you met the youngest one. Out of all of them, she is the most ambitious. She takes the most from their mother as well. Her dream is to become a teacher just like how her mother once was. You're probably laughing at the irony but it's true. If you two had already been acquainted then I'm sure she will have no problem learning under you. I fear that it will take a while for her sisters to warm up to you but please be patient with them. They have gone through a lot. I think you of all people would understand what they have gone through right?"

It didn't take a genius to understand what Maruo was referring to. Both he and the Quints had lost their mother. Fuutarou empathized with their tragic loss. He knew how they must have felt. Losing your mother at such a young age. Fate sure can be cruel sometimes. But that's why he became a Warrior of the Light. To kick Fate's ass and forge his own Destiny!

"Yes, I do. Don't worry, I'll be patient with them. They might not like me at first. But that doesn't matter. I'll do my best to tutor them and they will graduate! I bet my life on it." Fuutarou's confidence was at an all time high. Well can you blame him? He's been gifted with god-like powers. He felt like he could do anything. Helping 5 girls graduate seemed like a trivial task in comparison. Plus he's already done it before. He just has to do it again! And this time, he'll do it even better!

"That's what I like to hear, nephew. I expect you to follow through. I'll see you soon. Have a good day and take care of my daughters."

He ended the call, leaving Fuutarou alone with his thoughts.

'I better not let Uncle Maruo down. Who knows what he will do to me if I do?! The girls are counting on me. And not just them, my family as well. There is a lot of pressure on me right now. But for some reason, that just gets me more excited! I guess this might have something to do with the Gardener. I should probably call him sometime and tell him to explain in detail what all of my abilities are. But that can come later. Right now, I gotta get to class!'

Lunch period had already ended, so Fuutarou quickly got to class so he wouldn't be marked late. He took his seat and began to review some notes of his while the teacher got ready. He then heard the teacher say that they have a new transfer student. The transfer student made her way to the front of the class and introduced herself.

"My name is Itsuki Nakano! I'm pleased to meet you all!"

Fuutaoru perked up when he heard her name. Of course she's in his class. He forgot that detail from his visions. He heard the chatter amongst his peers. They were all surprised that the transfer student came from a rich all girls school. They probably don't know about her sisters yet since they are all in different classes. Their reactions to them will be really funny.

As Itsuki was walking towards an empty seat, she finally noticed that Fuutarou was also in this class. He waved his hand and greeted her, "Hey, didn't expect for us to be in the same class. Welcome."

Itsuki blushed at seeing him, 'He's in my class? Are you kidding me?' She was still reeling from Fuutarou calling her beautiful again at lunch. She wasn't ready to see his handsome face again. She felt like she could die of embarrassment any moment. She took a deep breath to calm herself down. It was her first day in her new school. There was no way she was gonna mess it up by becoming a stuttering mess in the entire class. She saw that there was an empty seat right next to Fuutarou.

"Is it okay if I sit here?" She asked the star student. Fuutarou nodded.

"Go ahead."

Itsuki took her seat next to his. The teacher then commenced the lesson. Itsuki struggled to focus due to the fact that her thoughts kept revolving around the man next to her. She was still thinking about the way he called her beautiful earlier. Every time she thought about it, her heart began to beat faster and her face heated up. Why was a guy she just met making her feel this way? Did he cast a spell on her or something? Was this some sort of love magic that made her body react this sort of way whenever she thought of him? This feeling was completely foriegn to her. But it wasn't unwelcomed. It made her feel good in a way. But it was still confusing. She had to get to terms with these feelings as soon as possible. But for now she had to focus on class.

As Itsuki was fighting her own thoughts, Fuutarou was also deep in his mind. 'So tomorrow I start my new tutoring job and meet the other 4 girls. This should be interesting….'

It was lunch period the next day. Itsuki had gotten her lunch tray and took her seat at a table with her sisters. "Thanks for waiting. Now let's eat!" She immediately began digging into her lunch like a monster on a rampage.

Nino sighed in disgust, "You know Itsuki, if you keep eating like that, you'll lose your curvaceous figure. And then none of the boys will want you!"

"What did you say?! I'll have you know that just yesterday, a cute and handsome guy called me beautiful! Twice may I add!" Itsuki told her sister with a smug grin. Nino almost choked on her food when she heard that.

"Y-You're lying! There's no way that happened!" Nino shouted in disbelief. There's no way that her younger sister had gotten a boy's attention before her! She's supposed to be the popular one!

"Oh it's true. You better believe it." Itsuki nodded as she kept on rubbing it in by crossing her arms and smirking smugly at the second sister.

"What is his name then?"

"Why would I tell you his name?"

"So I can confront him and tell him to stay away from my sister!"

"Why? You can't deal with the fact that one of us got complimented by a boy before you?" Itsuki teased Nino as she continued to eat her lunch.

"Why you-"

"Can you two quiet down? I thought Lunch was supposed to be a relaxing period." Miku, the third sister, told the two in annoyance. She wanted to enjoy her food without having to hear an argument about some boy.

Ichika laughed at the discourse, "Ne, I think it's great that our little sister Itsuki is getting compliments from boys. They grow up so fast!"

"We were born literally minutes apart!" Itsuki yelled, angry at being treated like she was a child.

"I don't really care." Miku said blankly.

"Of course you don't. Keep having an attitude like that and you'll never get a boyfriend!" Nino taunted.

"You've never had a boyfriend." Miku replied with a monotone voice.

Nino blushed in embarrassment, "That's only because I haven't found a guy yet that's worthy of my beauty! Trust me, if I wanted a boyfriend, I could get one whenever I want.

"Sounds like an excuse to me."

"How dare you-"

"Girls, relax! No need to fight over something as silly as this." Ichika, the oldest sister took charge as the mature one and defused the situation.

While this was all going on, Yotsuba, the fourth sister, noticed a piece of paper falling out of a student's pocket while he walked towards his seat. Being the person she is, Yotsuba immediately went to retrieve the paper and return it to its owner. She did this unbeknownst to her sisters who were still arguing. She picked up the paper and saw the name of the owner. She gasped in utter shock.

"No way…. It can't be him!"

Fuutarou had taken his seat and began eating his lunch. He was deep in thought. 'I start tutoring the girls today. I better make sure not to mess this up like how my future self did.'

"Uesugi-san."

'I'll try to be nice and charitable to them. The first day shouldn't be too hard. I should try to take it easy and get to know them as people.'

"Uesugi-san!"

'Itsuki already knows me so she shouldn't be a problem. It's the other four I gotta worry about.'

"Uesugi-san!"

'Who the fuck is calling me?'

Fuutarou locked and locked eyes with Yotsuba. The same thing that happened when he made eye contact with Itsuki, happened now. A rush of memories just flew into him like a river. Beginning from 5 years in his kyoto trip all the way to a funeral.

'Oh… it's just my wife.'

"You finally looked up!" Yotsuab exclaimed with a smile on her face. She had no respect for Fuutarou's personal space as her face was mere inches away from his. They were so close that Fuutarou was tempted to kiss her out of instinct. But he learned from his mistake yesterday to not immediately go with his instinct. He would have probably gotten slapped if he did.

"And who might you be? How do you know my name?" Fuutarou asked calmly. He was playing dumb to see if Yotsuba was going to reveal her identity to him as the girl he met 5 years ago.

"That's an excellent question!" She pulled out two graded test papers, "Did you happen to lose an exam paper with a perforce score? Or was it this one with a zero?"

"My exam paper? Why do you have it?"

"I saw it fall out of your pocket! So I came to return it! So now here we are! So, which one is it?" Yotsuba asked with anticipation.

Fuutarou chuckled at his wife's antics, 'She's so into this. Okay fine I'll play along for now.'

Fuutarou pointed at the paper in Yotsuba's left hand, "That one is mine."

"Wow! You're so honest!"

"Why would I lie about this?"

Yotsuba handed him both of the papers, "I shall grant you both!"

"Why would you give me both? And who even scored a zero on a test? How is that even possible?"

"It was me! And I could say the same about you scoring a perfect score!"

"I think getting a zero is a more impressive feat than scoring one hundred…"

"Hey, what's that supposed to mean?!" Yotsuba pouted at Fuutarou, just like how Itsuki did to him the day before.

'Man, they really are quintuplets!'

"Hey do we know each other?" Fuutarou asked the pouting red headed girl sitting in front of him.

"Huh? W-W-What do you mean, Uesugi-san!" Yotsuba nervously stuttered out. There's no way he remembers, right? It was so long ago, and she looks completely different than back then.

Fuutarou gave her a smug grin, 'Let's have some fun.'

"You remind me a lot like this cute and beautiful young girl I met a couple of years ago."

Yotsuba blushed when she heard that. Her brain fried as she could barely form words in her mouth.

"Cute…. Beautiful?"

Fuutarou nodded, "Yeah, but even though she was cute, she was pretty annoying…. And dumb."

'NANI!?' Yotsuba cried in her head. He just called her dumb in front of her face! How rude and insensitive of him!

'Oh wait, he doesn't know that he's talking about me. But still, it's rude!'

Yotsuba pouted at Fuutarou. Her puffed up cheeks made Fuutarou want to laugh. Her expression let him know that his trolling worked. He wasn't lying when he said she was cute. He loved it whenever the Quints made that face. At least if his visions of his future were accurate.

"What's wrong? Was it something I said?" The Warrior of Light asked innocently.

Yotsuba shook her head erratically, "N-No no, nothing's wrong! I was just thinking about something else, that's all!" She refused to make eye contact with him. She looked down to the floor in complete embarrassment. She had finally reunited with her long lost love and this was how she was acting? She really wanted to kick herself right about now.

'She's a terrible liar. But it's cute.' So far for Fuutarou, she doesn't seem all that different from 5 years ago. Aside from the obvious differences such as her hair length and her ribbon that she wears on her head, she's pretty much the same girl he met in Kyoto.

Fuutarou stood up from his chair with his tray in his hand, "Well it was nice meeting you."

"WAIT! Don't go yet!" Yotsuba exclaimed in panic.

"What is it?" Fuutarou cringed a bit at her outburst. His ears hurt due to his now sensitive hearing.

"Is there anything else you remember about this girl… the one that I remind you of?"

Fuutarou hummed before answering, "Well I guess the most important thing is that she changed my life. I wouldn't be the man I am today if I had never met her. I owe all of my success to her. If it wasn't for her, I don't know where I would be right now to be completely honest. If I were to ever meet her again, I would express my gratitude to her anyway I can. I love her with all of my heart. I can only hope she feels the same about me."

Fuutarou walked away, leaving Yotsuba alone at the lunch table.

The daughter of Rena stood there in silence for a few moments. Her face matched the color of her hair. There was also a hint of tears etching from her eyes.

'I love you too… Fuutarou-kun. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to keep my promise… but seeing you again has motivated me to uphold that promise. I don't care how hard it will be. I'm going to keep my promise to you no matter what. And only then… will you be mine.'

As Fuutarou walked away, he was deep into his thoughts.

'I promise you Yotsuba, this time, I'm going to make things right. This time, you won't have to suffer like you did. Not you or your sisters. I bet my life on it!'

School had ended for the day. It was now time for Fuutarou to officially start his first day of tutoring. He made his way towards the address that Maruo texted him. When he made it there, he could only be amazed at just how tall the building was. This was definitely for the rich! He used his super speed to get to the front door of the building that was already opened by someone before it could close. He then got into the elevator and punched in the 30th floor. As the elevator was going up, he thought about what his future self originally did in his visions. He laughed at the silliness of it all. He really went on a goose chase after Itsuki because he called her fat in the original timeline.

The elevator dinged, signalling it had arrived at the 30th floor. He walked towards the door that had the Nakano nameplate. He took a deep breath to calm himself down. He then knocked.

"Coming!"

He heard feet running towards the door. It didn't take a genius to figure out which of the 5 sisters was about to let him in. Once the door opened, he was met face to face with none other than his wife.

"U-U-Uesugi-san?! What are you doing here?! How did you figure out where I lived?" Yotsuba asked with a blush. She still remembered what he said back at the cafeteria. He told her straight to her face that he loved her! Even though he didn't know it was her that he was talking about. At least that's what she believed.

"Yo! Didn't your dad tell you that you're going to have a tutor coming in today?"

"Well yeah but what does that have to do with-" Youtube then gasped when she put two and two together. "No way… you're our tutor?!"

"That's right! Your dad called me yesterday. I'm happy to have the opportunity of teaching you and your sisters!"

'Wow.. what are the chances? This has to be Fate! She wants us to be together!' Yotsuba yelled internally. Well she isn't wrong.

"May I come in?" Fuutarou asked.

"Of course!" Yotsuba let him inside. She went to go get him a glass of water, which he graciously took.

"Where are your sisters?" The apartment was empty besides them two.

"Oh they must be upstairs in their rooms!"

"Then let's go get them." Fuutarou said as he went to go up the stairs.

"Oh.. Okay." Yotsuba actually wanted to spend some time alone with Fuutarou. Yeah, call her selfish, but when you finally meet the love of your life after over 5 years, you kind of get the urge of wanting to reconnect with them. Plus she did want him hers...

"Whose room is who?"

"Our rooms, from the front, are… Itsuki, me, and then Miku, Nino, and Ichika!"

"Cool. Let's start with Ichika."

"Uh okay, but don't freak out when you see it."

Fuutarou opened the door to her room and could only just stare in disbelief.

"Jesus Christ… a girl lives here?" Fuutarou wanted to face palm at just how messy her room was.

"I did warn you!" Yotsuba exclaimed.

"I wish you wouldn't talk about my room like it's some uncivilized land." Ichika rose up from her slumber. She was covered by her rose patterned blankets.

Just like with Itsuki and Yotsuba, as soon as they made eye contact, a flood of memories entered his brain. He was used to the shock now so he wasn't thrown off by it. He then smiled evilly.

'Let's do some more trolling!'

"Why do I feel like we've met before?" Fuutrarou said suspiciously as he stared at Ichika

"Eh?" The oldest Nakano sister looked at her new tutor in confusion. "What are you talking about? Did we meet before?"

"Maybe… you remind me a lot like this girl I met years ago. I think we played cards together. Yeah we played Sevens…"

Ichika's eyes widened in shock, 'No… there's no way. That was him?!'

Fuutarou sighed, "Maybe I'm just confusing myself. The girl I met had longer hair after all. It's probably a coincidence."

Ichika grabbed ahold of Fuutarou's shoulders, "Wait hold on! What else do you remember about this girl?" Her eyes had a look of pleading. As if she desperately wanted it to be true. That she had finally found the boy she had fallen in love with all those years ago.

Fuutarou stared at Ichika's eyes and smiled.

"What do I remember? Well I love her more than anything in this world of course!"

Ichika's heart skipped a beat.

There was no mistaking it. He is the one.

Yotsuba's eyes widened when she heard Fuutarou's declaration. 'He met Ichika too…. Yes I remember! No this can't be!'

Yotsuba was panicking. If Fuutarou mistakes her for Ichika….

"Uesugi-san, can you please wait outside for a moment while I help Ichika get dressed?"

Fuutarou shrugged his shoulders, "Sure. Just don't take too long. I have to tutor you girls after all."

He left and shut the door behind him.

Once she was sure he was outside, Yotsuba turned and looked at her sister in the eye.

"He's mine. Don't even think about stealing him."

Ichika gasped at Yotsuba's accusation, "What are you talking about-"

"Don't play dumb with me, I already know what you're thinking. Yes, he's the same boy you met 5 years ago in Kyoto. But I met him first. And he mistook you for me. Don't even try to think of deceiving him?"

"Deceiving him? And what about you? He clearly remembers me too. You're gonna tell him that it was you who played cards with him?"

"Fuutarou-kun said he loves me!"

"Does he even know that you're the same girl that he met in kyoto?"

"Does it matter? He still loves me!"

"Well going by that logic, he loves me too!"

Yotsuba was getting frustrated, "He's just confused that's all!"

"I don't know, he said it pretty boldly just now~"

As Yotsuba and Ichika were arguing, Fuutarou was waiting outside, one of the quints came out of her room. She had on a pair of blue headphones. She noticed Fuutarou and stopped to face him.

"Oh so you're out tutor…"
