Red...His eyes were abused by the intense color. Blood? He quickly sat up and looked at his hands. It wasn't blood that's for sure, his vision was still a bit blurry and he grabbed his head as he stood. He could still feel the throbbing from being hit by some goon. He looked around, he wasn't at the auction house anymore, he seemed to be in a field of flowers. Flowers? Where the hell am I? As if to answer his question he heard a female voice begin to speak. It was soft and gentle yet it seemed to sound as if it was coming from every direction.
"I've been waiting so very long for you…" He began to move forward until a shape appeared in his vision. It was a tall, thin woman who stood there. He noticed her easily as she stood out against the black sky and blood red flowers. As he walked closer to her the flowers began parting for him and began to glow as if to illuminate the dark field. Her clothes were a long white dress and a long white headshawl seemed to lay over her head.
"Finally, you are here," She said and as she turned to face him. What struck him as the most familiar and odd feature was her golden eyes. He knew those eyes...They were the same ones who looked at him everyday when he looked into the mirror. She smiled at him and reached out to touch him, a piece of her white hair fell out from behind the shawl and covered her delicate features. Her small hand made contact with his cheek and her smile became warmer.
"Who are you?" He asked with a panicked voice and grabbed the hand touching him. Her eyebrows tilted into an upset expression as she began to frown. Her lips quivered and her whole body began to tremble as the color of red began slowly traveling up from the bottom of her dress.
"It took you a while to get here...I was afraid you'd never show up," She spoke gently as if she was afraid to scare a small animal away. When he looked closer her could see that her eyes were red and puffy and she had tear-stained cheeks as if she was crying this whole time. "Please…" Her voice became cold and sad as she smiled again although this time it was a sad one, as if she was longing for something. He was pulled into her embrace, it felt cold as if he was being held by a block of ice. He slowly wrapped his arms around her to comfort her. For some reason he couldn't bring himself to push her away, he felt as if this was something that was fated to be.
"I'm here now…" He said to the woman as he let out a deep breath. His heart slowed as he calmed down and she began to slowly warm up. The color of red was finally reaching her waist and he realised something weird was happening. When did he not notice this, he looked up at her and saw that their faces were almost exactly the same, as if she was a female version of himself. "Who are you?" He asked again as if desperately trying to get an answer from her. Her arms loosened and she stared him face to face, blood slowly trickling down the corner of her smiling face.
"I'm relying on you...Don't disappoint me.." She let go of his face as she fell to the ground. The young man panicked and fell to his knees to hold the older woman in his arms. Blood began to cover her entire dress and blood began to pour from every hole in her face. It was as if she was in a battle or was slowly dying from an injury, he didn't know what to do.
"Michael."
When Michael woke again he was in a room he didn't recognize. It was lavish and filled with red and gold. It was different from he was expecting, the bed he was sprawled out on was huge and was made of expensive material. He slowly sat up and grabbed his head where the throbbing was earlier but the pain was gone and there was a large bandage wrapped around his head. That was a relief the pain was gone, it getting annoying and he would've hated to have to deal with it. He sighed and slowly forced himself out the bed, he was no longer bound by the red ropes and was happy to get out of that damned place. Sadly, the one thing that was a continuous annoyance was the damned collar around his neck. This one was black and seemed to be made of a soft leather compared to the red one from earlier. He felt slight stinging from his wrists and ankles and saw the red marks from where the ropes were rubbing on his flesh.
"Well that sucks…" Michael couldn't help himself from being upset, who wouldn't be after they had been kidnapped, sold, brought to some random place, and then stripped. Wait. What? He looked down at his clothes and noticed it was a completely different outfit from before. His clothes had been changed to black long sleeved v neck and black dress pants. He assumed whoever wrapped his head was probably the same person who changed his clothes. He felt a terrible feeling crawl over his skin. He just hoped that whoever changed him was not a pervert and didn't touch him in a disgusting way.
Michael looked around the room looking for some clue to where he was. All he knew was this person was extremely rich and liked to make everything extremely lavish. He sighed and pulled open the golden cutians in his room and found that outside the window was an incredible view. His jaw dropped as he recognized the field of flowers, it was the same in his dreams, only this time it wasn't an endless garden. The sky was blue and the sun was shining brightly, where was he? He was pulled away from the window with the sound of someone outside his door.
"Big sister?" A voice boomed from the other side of the door. Big Sister? Who are they calling big sister? Michael rushed to the door and yanked it open to be faced with a monster of a man, he was at least 3 feet taller than Michael who looked like a dwarf in comparison. "Ah, hello, sorry...I didn't know you had woken up yet Ma'am…I am Ozzie. I will be your guard," He seemed insecure when talking to
Michael, when it should've been Michael who felt inferior.
"Who are you calling Big Sister and Ma'am?" Michael asked and the man's expression turned to one of confusion. Obviously whoever he was, he clearly didn't know the difference between a man and woman. "I hope it's not me, I am a man," The smaller man said matter-of-factly, he just hoped he wasn't being picked on. The tall man bowed with his arms out, making the shape of the circle. Just where the hell was he that people greeted people like that.
"I know that you are male, but I was told to show the Boss' soon to be wife the utmost respect." Michael's jaw dropped at that sentence. W-Wife? Well now he knew the boss was probably a man, why did this have to happen to him. "Big Sister? Are you alright?" The taller man had a look of concern on his face and began leaning down to make eye contact with Michael.
"Y-yes. I'm fine…" He sighed and put his hand to his head. "So, where is this boss and where the hell am I?" Michael was so done with this shit. He didn't know where he was and honestly he just needed some answers. At this point nothing could probably surprise him. The larger man stood straight and cleared his throat. "The Boss is in the throne room going over his agenda for the day. He is a very busy man. We shouldn't bother him, let's bring you to the dining hall, you should eat breakfast." Michael just pushed his way past Ozzie and kept walking, there was no way this place could be that big he could probably eventually find wherever this throne room was. He had a bone to pick with this boss of the castle as he was not intending to be some guy's wife. "B-Big Sister! You can't go that way, the Boss is in a meeting." Michael took that as a sign he was going the right way and he came upon a large door. He opened it in the most dramatic way possible.
"Now as I was saying the East Region needs management…" Everyone turned to the door and Michael stood there frozen. He did not think this through and was now unsure what to do. The man on the throne smiled; he was clad in normal dress clothes, black pants and a blue button up shirt, over that he had a red cloak with a fur trim. Michael was a bit surprised how normal and human he looked if it wasn't for the two black horns that sat atop his head. His hair was a neatly managed style and red like blood.
"Well hello my Love. I see my adorable fiancee just couldn't wait to see her lover." He stood up and waved his hands dismissing the numerous people in the room. Michael's face turned crimson in embarrassment at what the man said. Ozzie just stood behind Michael, he seemed nervous. "B-Boss I tried to stop Big Sister but he insisted to come see you." The man nodded and waved his hand, taking the cue like the others he left the room in a hurry. The Boss grabbed Michael's hand and brought it to his lips. "Well, aren't you just a sight in the morning." He chuckled and Michael caught a glimpse of his blue eyes. The redhead quickly patted down Michael's messy hair. "Bed head looks beautiful on my future wife." Michael pulled away from the smooth talking man.
"D-Don't touch me...I don't even know you!" Michael turned around and began walking. The blue-eyed man grabbed his hand and pulled him into an embrace. "Oh but dear I know you…" His face got closer to Michael's and the smaller Male's face contorted to one of disgust. He pushed the redhead away.
"Lord Murnus of the Demon Realm. I'm excited to be your husband and lover." He chuckled at what he considered childish behavior from his bride. "Sadly even if you wanted to deny me you can't my dear." Murnus smiled and walked out the door and motioned from Michael to follow him. "I'm sure you are hungry, you've been passed out for quite a few days. We will have breakfast." Michael had been too busy trying to find out what was happening to notice the pain in his stomach from hunger.
