I don't own either RWBY or Animorphs. Both are owned by their respective owners.
My name is Aximili-Esgarrouth-Isthill. My human friends call me Ax.
I am an Andalite artish, a cadet. I have four legs and a tail. I am told I resemble a hybrid of a human and a deer. However, unlike both, my fur is blue. I have no mouth and two eyes on stalks. My tail resembles a scorpion's, though mine has a blade on the end instead of a stinger.
My brother gave my human friends the power to morph, breaking Andalite law. However, it was for the best, as my friends Jake, Marco, Cassie, Rachel, and Tobias, my closest friend, have fought against the Yeerk invasion for some time now on Earth.
However, now, I fear we might not even be on Earth.
It started with a raid on an underground Yeerk base. It was meant to transport powerful weapons to another front of the war. My friends and I, the Animorphs, attacked it and damaged the base. That was, until two Dracon beams collided, sending out a white flash that engulfed us all.
Now, it is clear that we are somewhere very different.
We all looked up at the moon. It was shattered, chunks of its lunar surface drifting in space. From what I could gather, it looked to have been that way for a long time.
"What could have done this?" Cassie asked. Cassie is one of the best morphers I have seen, a natural estreen. She makes the morphing process, which frankly is rather disgusting and unnerving, to be almost artistic. She can also be described as our moral compass, questioning if our actions are just. It is both a benefits and a hindrance.
"Ax," Prince Jake asked. "You have any idea what could break the moon like that?" Prince Jake is my prince, my leader.
[I…I don't know, Prince Jake,] I said in thought speak. It is how Andalites and those in morph communicate, with thoughts. [It would take a great deal of power to break it apart and not destabilize its orbit.]
"Okay, so we know the moon's broken," Marco said. "How do we know if this is still Earth? Besides, what happened when those Dracon beams hit together?"
Marco can be considered our team's strategist and tactician. He is well versed in human style humor as well as "sarcasm". I have been getting better at identifying sarcasm, and I knew there was none of it in his statement.
Dracon beams are Yeerk weapons, designed for total molecular disintegration with sending as much pain as possible at its target.
"Yeah, that flash felt really familiar," Rachel said, "Almost like with the sub and us going back in time."
Rachel is one of our team's best warriors. She is brave and fearless, yet I see in her more than duty when she fights. I believe she enjoys destroying her opponents.
"Wait, are we in a Sario Rip, or whatever you call it?" Marco questioned. "Aw man, I so do not want to go back to dinosaurs."
With one of my stalk eyes, I caught Prince Jake's eyes. He was staring at me, letting me know to tell the others the truth. Prince Jake had a similar experience, where we were trapped in a Sario Rip in the Amazon rainforest. Only he and I know of the events and that is because Prince Jake received memories from his deceased counterpart.
[Yes, I believe we are in a Sario Rip.] I answered. The rest of my friends stared in disbelief and anger.
Rachel let out a noise of complaint. "Well, isn't this perfect? I so do not want a repeat of our time in dinosaur land."
"Okay, if Rachel's taking complaints from me, then we're in trouble," Marco said.
"Ax, could you give us a guess of where we are?" Prince Jake asked.
[Unfortunately, I can't say,] I answered. [With Sario Rips, we could have been flung throughout time and space. We may now be either in the distant past, future, or the present.] I paused, wondering if I should voice my doubts even further.
[Then again, we might not even be on the same planet,] Tobias said, taking the thoughts right out of my head.
"Yeah, Tobias is right," Caisse said. "I mean, nothing natural could do that." She pointed to the moon above us.
"Cassie's right," Prince Jake said. "Tobias, take another look and see if there's any sign of civilization here."
[On it.] And Tobias took off once again.
The area became silent shortly after Tobias left. We were tired, agitated, and stressed beyond all belief.
"Well, if we're going to stay out here for the night, I recommend a campfire," Marco said. "I would say we should try and make some s'mores, but since I don't think there's a Walmart anywhere near here, I'm going to shoot that idea down."
[These 's'mores', are they delicious?] I asked. I am able to morph into a human and experience the wonderful sensation of taste. Humans have made several wonderful foods and tastes, such as the cinnamon bun, chocolate, and cigarette butts, even though I am told not to eat the latter.
"Oh yeah, you'll like them, Ax-man."
"Not to interrupt this, but I think we've got more problems," Rachel said. "If we were caught in that light, then its highly likely Visser Three and his cronies got caught in the blast too."
"Okay, but how come they didn't appear with us? They were pretty close, relatively speaking," Marco said.
[Once again, a Sario Rip can displace anyone in time and space. So, it is highly likely that Visser Three and his forces are currently somewhere else,] I shrugged, a gesture I learned from humans.
[Alright, I got some news,] Tobias called. [There was some aircraft leaving due northeast from where I'm from.] Ah, so there was some sort of civilization. [However, we got company.]
"What are they like?" Prince Jake called out.
[Animalistic, to be sure. Specifically, like messed up wolves and bears,] Tobias said. [Not to mention mean looking and headed straight for you.]
"Okay, so we'll fight them off," Rachel said.
"Wait, these might just be pack animals. They could be trying to just defend their territory," Cassie pleaded.
[I don't think that matters, because they're on top of you!]
As soon as Tobias finished, we heard rustling in the trees and bushes. Suddenly, a multitude of animals jumped out and surrounded us. Like Tobias said, they resembled Earthen wolves and bears, yet they were different. They were bigger and they were covered in black fur and white bone-like armor. They had red eyes that stared unblinking.
"Yeah Cassie, you were right, these guys totally look like they want us off their land, just like Pocahontas," Marco said sarcastically.
"No, Marco, no they don't." Cassie said drily.
"Ax, hold them off. Everyone else, battle morph," Jake ordered, already morphing into his tiger morph.
I stood my ground, watching the animals in case they tried to attack. With my stalk eyes, I could see the animals wait for some kind of signal while my friends morph. Rachel bulked up with the grizzly bear's might, Marco grew coarse hair along his arms and chest, Cassie was nearly completed with her wolf morph.
Finally, one of the animals struck! It ran after Prince Jake, who was still half-way into tiger. I reached out with my tail and slashed the beast.
FWAP!
One of the beast's limbs now hung loosely by some few strands of fur and muscle. Yet, that did not seem to deter the monster at it still rushed at Prince Jake.
FWAP!
FWAP!
Two more stabs and the beast laid dead. For some reason, its body started to disintegrate. However, that was not the main focus. Spurred on by the loss of their comrade, the rest of the beasts attacked. Fortunately, most of my friends were either done or mostly completed their morphs and were on the offensive.
I have been in more battles than most of the Andalite military, yet when I say this one was different, I meant it. These beasts were not just wild animals, nor were they strategizing like sapient lifeforms. No, they were only in it to kill. Fortunately, we deal with this kind of lethal fighting before, and we have become skilled at it.
Rachel barreled through the wolf creatures, tackling one of the bears. Cassie leaped through the battlefield, clamping her jaws into any unfortunate creature. Marco used his gorilla body to knock out the creatures. They did not get back up. Prince Jake leapt and slashed at the beasts with his claws. Tobias would dive-bomb in and slash some of the beasts' eyes.
I too stood my ground, slashing and stabbing with my tail blade. They would always hit their mark, but the beasts would not be pushed back.
[Rachel, behind you!]
[Aaaahhh!]
"RAWWWRR!"
[There just won't stop coming!]
By now, we were being to sustain injures while the beasts kept resupplying their forces. I had gashes around my torso and lower body, but those were tame compared to the others. Cassie had a large gash across her side. Rachel had blood sliding down from an almost fatal cut near the throat. Every time Prince Jake landed, he would stagger more and more.
[Prince Jake, I fear that the outcome will not be favorable for us,] I said while slicing another beast's neck.
[Ax is right. We need to retreat.]
[There's something else coming really close!] Tobias answered.
[What, more of these guys?] Prince Jake asked.
[No, people.] A loud BANG! rang out and one of the wolf creatures fell on its side and perished.
[And they brought guns.]
I swiveled one eye to where the shot was fired. Four human girls stood, with one was holding the rifle I presumed fired was crouching down.
One of the humans had messy blond hair and purple eyes. She had two pronounced stores of fat on her chest. I have been told this is attractive for human males, but for what reason I can't tell.
She said, "Wow, who knew they brought the whole zoo in town?"
Another girl wore mostly white clothing with red insides. She had white hair, which is unusually for humans her age. She said, "This isn't natural. Besides, am I the only one who sees that?!" She pointed at me with some kind of metal weapon.
One girl was dressed mostly in black and wore a bow. The one holding the gun stood up and said, "We can deal with that later. Right now, we need to beat the Grimm."
The other three nodded and charged in with their own weapons. They went after the black creatures.
[Prince Jake, we have new allies!] I called out. [They seem to be enemies of these animals!]
[Good, because I'm tired of getting stabbed at today,] Marco said, punching another bear monster to the ground.
The beast's numbers soon depleted faster and faster. The four girls were experts in their weaponry, which changed from long range bullets to close range melee. There were some oddities with their fighting styles. One girl summoned some sort of sigils that inflicted damage. Another could get hit in once place, yet attack somewhere else.
Now, the battle was finished. The beasts laid dead; their corpses disintegrating. This left only us and the four girls. They seemed unharmed while we were weary and in need of healing. Fortunately, morphing can heal injuries.
"Well, that's all taken care of," The blond one said.
"We need to get these animals to help as possible," the dark one with the bow said. "Some of them look pretty hurt."
"Your right, Blake," The red one, what I presume to be their leader said.
While this was going on, we were having our own conversation.
[How are we doing?] Prince Jake asked.
[I'm good,] Rachel answered.
[I'm going to need a good sleep after this, but I'm alright,] Marco said.
[I think I'm good too,] Cassie said. [Jake, we need to do something with those girls. They've already seen Ax.]
[Okay, Ax,] Prince Jake said. [You try and keep their attention while everyone else demorphs.]
{Understood, Prince Jake,] I said.
[Don't call me Prince.]
They slunk off into the bushes and trees, hiding themselves from sight. Tobias watched from a branch above, keeping an eye on myself, the human girls, and the others.
"Hey, wait," The red one said, trying to case after my friends. I had to stop her without harming her.
[Stop! Do not follow them,] I directed my thought-speech at the group. They stopped in their tracks, looking around for my "voice".
"Did you guys hear that?" The blond one said.
"I heard it, but I didn't hear it," The white-haired one said.
"I heard it. In my head," The one wearing a bow said.
The red cloaked one turned her head to me. "Guys, I think he said it." She said pointing at me.
[Yes,] I answered cautiously. [It was I who told you to stop.]
"Okay, this is getting freaky," The blond one answered.
"Tell me about it," The white-haired one answered.
"Are…are you an alien?" The red one asked.
I took a breath in. [Yes, and those animals are my friends. Don't worry about them. They will be fine.]
"Even the bird?" The one with the bow pointed to Tobias. I looked at him through one stalk eye.
[Huh. Observant.] Tobias said.
[Yes,] I answered the girls. [The bird is my friend, as well.]
The four girls looked at each other and started to debate with one another.
While I was thinking of an answer, Tobias told me that Prince Jake and the others were done demorphing and were waiting on the situation.
[Tobias, tell the others that the human girls seem to not be a current threat. Ask Prince Jake what he recommends to do.]
Tobias relayed my message and for several seconds, I waited on an answer.
[Okay, Jake said that if they're good, we can play ourselves as lost kids with an alien. They don't know about morphing yet, so we should be good.]
As I watched the four girls, I wondered if any of them were secretly a Controller. Their combat prowess with their weapons would be highly valued. Then again, they did not attack me on sight like Yeerks would, so either a few or only one of them might be a Controller. And I suspected it was not the red one, the girl who I believe was the leader. If she was, she would have ordered for our destruction just like with those beasts.
The red one turned away from the group and looked straight into my main eyes. She said, "Um, we just want to let you know, we will help you any way we can. We have adults who can help you and your friends."
In a private thought speech message, I asked Tobias, [Does Prince Jake want us to go with them?]
There was silence until Tobias said back, [Yeah, Jake's ready. Just give him the word, Ax-man.]
[I can't fully answer that,] I said, opening my thought-speak to all. [However, my leader can.]
On cue, Jake walked out into the opening. The group's faces were written with confusion and intrigue. Jake had a slightly above average build for a human his age. Yet, he still looked youthful despite having a sense of wisdom one gets from battle.
"Looks rather young, doesn't he?" The white-haired one whispered to her group.
"Kinda like you, Ruby," The blond one nudged the leader.
[Everyone, this is my leader, Prince Jake,] I gestured to him.
The four girl's faces lit up with varying degrees of surprise and shock.
"A prince?!" The white-haired one shrieked. "We're in the presence of royalty! Bow, you dolts!" She then grabbed the red one, called Ruby, and managed to make her take a knee.
"Uh, we're sorry to not give you the proper respect, uh, your highness, sir," Ruby said very quickly.
[Marco wanted to inform you that he's finding this hilarious,] Tobias said to Prince Jake and I. [Because he is currently rolling on the ground laughing.]
Jake pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. "No, you don't have to kneel. I'm not that kind of prince. It's more of a military title than any royalty."
"Oh," And the two girls got back up and dusted themselves off.
"So, uh, your name's Jake, right?" Ruby asked. Jake nodded in confirmation. "Okay, um, hi. I'm Ruby."
Ruby then pointed to the white-haired girl, "This is Weiss." Weiss did a small bow.
Ruby pointed to the girl with the bow. "This is Blake." Blake nodded.
"And this is my big sister, Yang," Ruby then gestured to the blonde, who gave us a wave. "And we're team RWBY!"
"And with that out of the way, we would like to answer some questions. Like what are you doing out here, who's your friend, and where did all those animals go?" Ruby said.
"Also why don't you have any shoes?" Blake observed.
"No need to diss on his fashion style," Yang ribbed.
"Okay, to answer your first question, we are a little lost," Prince Jake answered. "We would like to get to some civilization."
"Okay, and uh, what about him? Is he an alien?" Ruby continued.
"This," Jake jabbed a thumb at me. "Is our friend, Ax. And you're right. He is an alien called an Andalite."
"Why call him 'Ax'?" Weiss asked.
[My full name is Aximili-Esgarrouth-Isthill. However, I have been told it is hard to pronounce with human tongues.]
The girls stared at me while Jake gave a look that humans interpreted as "You see?".
"Wait, you said 'our'. Where is the rest of your group?" Blake asked.
"There's just a few of us," Jake answered. "Not a lot. In fact, I can bring them out right now."
Jake waved over to where the rest of us were hiding. Soon, Rachel, Marco, and Cassie all came out and joined with the rest of us. Tobias landed on a branch closer to us.
"This is everyone else," Jake said, then point at each one individually, "This is Rachel, Marco, and Cassie. Everyone, meet Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang."
Both groups exchanged greetings.
"Okay, so let be the first to ask where the heck are we?" Marco said first.
"We're in the Emerald Forest?" Ruby said.
[We are definitely not in our home town,] Tobias said to us.
"You guys don't know about the Emerald Forest?"
"Yeah, we're pretty lost," Jake said.
"What about those animals that attacked us?" Cassie asked. "They're like nothing I've seen before."
"You don't know about the Grimm?" Blake questioned us.
"Yeah, we're pretty far out of town," Marco said.
"That's impossible. Grimm are everywhere in the world. You would have to at least heard about them."
"Okay, but what world are we talking about?" Rachel demanded.
"The world of Remnant."
We all looked at each other. This wasn't Earth. Yet, somehow, a planet that had human life on it.
Ruby and the others must have noticed our expressions, because they too looked surprised.
"Oh, wow, you guys are aliens too!" Ruby exclaimed.
"Ruby! That's rude to just label them when-, When," Weiss said.
"Can't find another explanation, Ice Queen?" Yang said.
"No, - just be quiet!"
"Look, there may be more to explain," Cassie interrupted. "But, right now, we just need help."
"She's right," Ruby said. "We help those in need no matter where they come from. Because that's what Huntresses do!"
"Do you have a way to get us back to a city?" Prince Jake asked.
"Yeah, we have a Bullhead picking us up soon. There'll be enough space for all of you," Ruby said, then looked at me, "Well, almost all of you."
[Don't worry. I have a means of blending in with the human population.] I reassured.
"Okay, we'll tell you when we get close."
That began our trek through the forest, with Ruby and her friends leading the way. Tobias initially flew above, just for look out. Eventually, he landed and perched on Rachel's shoulder.
"You never answered all of our questions earlier," Blake said, looking back at us. "What happened to those animals? And how did the Grimm not attack you?"
"Maybe those animals were just defending their territory," Cassie offered.
"Nah, Grimm don't care about stuff like that," Yang said. "They care more about destruction and death."
The silence last for a while before Blake looked like she reached a conclusion.
"That's highly improbable," Blake muttered to herself.
"What?" Weiss demanded.
"What if Jake and his friends were the animals?" Blake offered. Did she connect our friends to the morphing power? Was she a Controller already? I tensed my tail-blade, ready to strike.
"That's impossible! Unless…" Weiss pondered, "It would take a powerful semblance to shapeshift from a human to an animal."
I looked back at my friends. Some had confused faces while others were trying to communicate that we would just roll with their theory.
"Yeah, that's our semblance," Marco said. "We turn into different animals. It's why we hooked up together. It's like a big support group."
We had some curious glances from Marco's comments.
"Does that explain the clothes?" Yang asked.
"Morphing clothes has been a challenge for us," Cassie said. "Best we can do now is skintight clothing."
"And don't bother with shoes," Rachel said. "Trust me on that one."
"Okay then," Blake continued. "What about him?" She pointed at Tobias. "Does he have the same semblance too?"
Prince Jake and I looked at each other before he answered. "Our...semblance has some drawbacks. One of them is a time limit. No more than two hours or you become trapped as an animal."
[I would like to clarify it is two of your hours,] I said.
"Ax, we're on the same planet. It's everyone's hours," Marco joked.
[Yes, I would agree,] I spoke to Marco privately. [However, I had to confirm that both Earth's and Remnant's time tables were equal beforehand.]
Marco nodded. That seemed to catch the attention of Yang.
"Okay, can we not have the private psychic conversation? It's a bit rude."
[Oh, well don't mind me then,] Tobias said to the group. All four girls looked back at him.
[Yes, this is the hawk talking to you. My name is Tobias. I was human, but then two hours passed and I now have wings 24/7.]
"Can you change back?" Ruby asked.
[Yes, but my human form also has a two-hour limit,] Tobias answered.
"I'm sorry."
[Don't be. I live with it.]
I saw Rachel's face slightly turned sad. She and Tobias form a special relationship.
Rachel turned back to Ruby and the others. "So, where do you guys live?"
"We live in Vale and go to Beacon to learn to be Huntresses." Ruby answered.
Marco was about to say something, but Blake spoke first. "Ax mentioned that Jake was his 'prince'. And Jake said it was a military title. There's more going on than what you're telling us."
"Easy with the accusations, Blake," Yang said.
I turned one stalk eye to Prince Jake. [What should we tell them?] I asked him privately.
"Just enough to keep our secret," Prince Jake answered.
I saw Yang frowned at Prince Jake and I's private conversation. I decided to not let her speak about it by answering the question.
[A prince is the Andalite term for commander. And we are engaged in a covert war.]
The walk became silent as the others let me explain.
[Our planet is being infiltrated by invaders. They are not like you and me. They are parasites that live in other host's brains. My people are holding off these invaders on other worlds, but on this one, my friends and I are the only line of defense between your world and total subjection.]
Ruby and her friends looked deep in thought. "What can we do to stop them? Is there any way we can help?" Ruby asked.
[You can't. Mostly because the enemy can be in anyone. Your friends, your family, anyone in a position of power.]
"Then it's pretty trusting of you to tell us this," Weiss said. "What if we were the same enemy you're describing?"
"If you would have attacked us, we would defend ourselves," Prince Jake answered.
"And how far would you take in self-defense if we looking to kill," Blake asked.
We didn't say anything. However, by our solemn faces, Ruby and her friends could tell that we would have fought until death if need be.
"Oh," was all Ruby said.
{Then again, our enemy might not even be here,] I said to reassure.
"What do you mean by that?" Yang asked.
"Well, let's say, hypothetically, we weren't from Remnant at all," Marco said. "And through some overly complicated scientific shenanigans, we landed here while our enemies were back at home."
"So that means your enemy is free to conquer your world whenever," Blake said glumly.
[Not exactly,] Tobias interjected.
"Think of us travelling as like," Rachel stopped to think of an analogy, "Like you're watching a TV show on one TV, pausing it, and watching the same episode on another TV."
"I don't get it," Ruby said.
"Me neither, but it's the best I could think of."
"Okay, you guys are dancing around the question," Weiss turned to face all of us. "Are you six from another world or not?"
We all looked at each other before Jake sighed and answered. "Yes. We come from a world called Earth."
"Whoa," Yang said.
"And the semblances?" Weiss asked, "Are they part of your world too?"
[Yes,] I lied. If powers similar to the morphing technology existed here, then we could not let the other know about it.
Weiss seemed satisfied with our answers. The Animorphs and I drifted further back to have a private conversation.
"So, why are we telling them this about ourselves," Rachel referred to Ruby and the others, "We're supposed to keep everything about ourselves a secret."
"They already saw Ax," Cassie answered. "And whatever these semblances are, they're common enough to equate to super powers or something."
"So we got the X-Men training to kill monsters," Marco said. "And they even got a school for it. Besides, you saw those weapons. They're trained."
"They're also kids, like us,"
[They have enrolled in a school to defend the world,] I said. [Should that count towards their skill?]
[It makes me uneasy thinking about it,] Tobias said. [Besides, they act like those Grimm are both an everyday occurrence and a monstrous threat.]
"You're right," Rachel whispered, "This isn't Earth. There's a lot more conflicts going around here than we know."
"This must be heaven to you, Rachel," Marco joked.
"Same to you. I always knew your little head dreamed of getting super powers."
"I do. I just wish I didn't have a war tacked onto them."
"Listen, we're just telling them enough so we can find shelter," Prince Jake said. "That's the plan for now. Then we can see what's the deal with this world and the Yeerks."
"Hey, we're getting close to the Bullhead," Ruby called out. "You might want to blend in, Ax."
[Understood.] I answered.
"Just a heads up," Rachel called out. "Ax going to human is going to be a little unnerving."
"Why do you say that?" Weiss asked, but I already started morphing.
Morphing is always a unique experience. No morph ever happens one way. So, it was unexpected when my front legs shriveled up and retracted into my torso. Fortunately, my hind legs developed enough to support my changing weight.
My tail and stalk eyes shriveled up in my body. I felt my arms getting stronger while some of my fingers melded into the five-finger hand of the human. I always felt slightly discomforted when my second heart stopped and disappeared while my organs shift and moved around.
Finally, my human morph was complete, dressed in the same skintight morphing outfits as the rest of the Animorphs. I acquired this human morph by combing the DNA of Prince Jake, Marco, Cassie, and Rachel, so I could say I was a hybrid of them. I tested out my mouth on instinct.
Ruby and her friends saw my morphing both in awe and disgust. Weiss had to balance herself and stop a process humans call "dry heaving".
"Weiss, you okay?" Ruby turned to her teammate.
"I'm fine. Just…I did not expect that," Weiss answered.
"Yeah, that was totally freaky," Yang commented.
"Yes, the morphing process is quite unnerving. Eer-ving," I said. The mouth is a new sensation to me as an Andalite. I used to play with the sounds a human mouth makes. Now, I can say I am getting better at it.
"If you think that's freaky, wait till you see Ax with a full tray of Cinnamons," Marco said.
Blake took in a deep breath after I had finished morphing. "Okay, besides the nightmares I'll have tonight, I'm okay. And what about Tobias? Will he morph human?"
[No, I'll stay like this,] Tobias answered. [Besides, it'll mean more room on the plane, or Bullhead.]
"Airship," Weiss said.
[Yeah, ship.]
"You did tell the pilot and Ozpin that we'll be bringing guests on board, right?" Yang asked her teammates.
"I already sent the message along with the debriefing. Which all of you should have done as well," Weiss answered.
"Okay, okay, we'll do it on the way back."
A couple more minutes of walking and we eventually made it into a clearing There was a silver ship that was landed in the middle of it. It had four VOLT engines on its sides and an open door with enough space for all of us.
[It seems this world's technology may be on par or above Earth's,] I said to Prince Jake. Since my human form was a morph, I was not limited to verbal speech like the rest of my friends.
We all boarded the ship. Ruby and her friends were near the cockpit while my group sat near the back, together.
Weiss told the pilot something, and as we all got strapped into our seats, the ship lifted off and flew to our destination. A "Beacon Academy" as Weiss described it.
I looked down at the rapidly move tree line below us. Andalites are grazers by nature, and even though I am in a different body, the natural fear of enclosed spaces and the need to run bubbled up in me.
[You okay, Ax-man,] Tobias gazed at me with his fierce hawk eyes.
"Yes, I am just nervous about upcoming events." I answered.
"Today has been chaotic," Cassie said.
"Understatement of the week," Rachel continued.
"Chaotic? Try one of the most wacked out days ever!" Marco said over the whirling fans.
"I believe Marco has said it best," I said. "This is insane." A pause. "That was an attempt at your humor."
That got weak smiles out of everyone.
"Ax, man, I love you, but leave the jokes to me," Marco said.
"Ax, don't listen to him," Rachel joined in, "He's never had a good joke in his life."
Marco stuck his tongue out.
"Alright, but be ready," Prince Jake pointed out. "We have be prepared for what's coming."
Yes, there is always that looming threat. The Yeerks. They may have already dug their hands into Remnant already, and we may be facing up against a losing battle. However, we were experienced, and we were ready to adapt to this new world.
"Don't worry, Prince Jake," I reassured. "We will be ready."
These chapters have been tough for me to write. There's so much stuff happening and character to keep track of, and what should they say.
But, I'm getting better.
Thank you to those who have followed, favorited and reviewed. Those mean a lot to me. I am asking you to please leave reviews, as they tell me what I'm doing right and what I'm doing wrong.
I will be pumping out more content than I usually would due to Spring Break, so expect more chapters.
Also, make sure to check out my other story, A Werret's Tale, through my page or through the RWBY fanfiction page.
Until next time, see ya later!
