Only, my eyes on you

"The world is indeed a complication of joys and sorrows, a continuous play made up of tragedy and comedy, and even in every day life, items and experience, small and unusual to us, perhaps, is woven a little story of the heart"

- Tragedy of baby's death is revealed in sale of clothes, The Spokane Press.

The words stop at the tip of his tongue and wouldn't come out just for one reason. Her hands seems pale blue while her face betrays a smile that doesn't quite reach her eyes. He spents brief moments gazing curiosly at her peculiarities 'what a strange thing. For a moment his concetration is shattered by a serpentine rattle coming from every direction. Despite the weird ambience... he expects this to happen!

A chuckle escapes from his thin lips, then it slowly turns into a frenzy of maniac cackles but performaticaly subdue into silence once again. He feels perplexed and glad that is over. Syan couldn't put a finger on what have just transpired meanwhile regaining the feel to move his muscles, once again. By now, it is the first time he sees confusion on the mysterious by-stander expression.

- That's annoying… The girl with pale hands couldn't maintain her composure and stares at Syan with fiery hate.

- what? The boy asks as if he isn't from this planet.

- Who laughs like he suddenly became the ruler of the world? Are you perhaps…? A Chūnibyō?

Her annoyance doesn't quite follow suite that pervert smile on her lips nor his evil grin corresponds to his absurd thoughts, noticing this when he touches his face, for comfort.

- You are quite the cheeky one, do you have a name?

- Of course, who doesn't? but I want to hear it from you. As she finishes the sentence her eyebrows furrow on an ugly degree.

- It is… then he had the impulse to stare deeply onto her eyes, the long, lightly wavy 'n luscious hair was in the middle, so he grazed her forehead with his left hand and then it came to view the tiredness imprinted on her vacant pupils as she looks at him with the utmost solemn expression. He gets the faint idea of an icy beauty that, quite funnily, is here but wasn't there.

- Burūra, Burūra Mizu.

They kept staring for a while, Syan finally retracts his eyes partially due to being upset and her awkward gaze. He doesn't recall anything more besides the uttered name, that somehow she hasn't corrected yet for him.

The bus quickly approaches while she tries to vocalize an answer, when she simply nods in approval the bus passes straight the bus stop. If the damned bus driver is missing an eye or something 'who knows?. Besides that transient interruption that went over the horizon, the streets remaing desolate.

- Syan, let's not waste time. Tomorrow is important.

- Do you care?! I was waiting for that bus, but my attention went somewhere else thanks to you.

- Ha-ha, who's big idea? Wait a minute, why is tomorrow important?

- You said it first but if you want to know, follow me.

By the time they stood aside the rain starts to recede, by the look of it night time is quickly approaching. Mizu doesn't quite follows what have just happen. She was following Syan, that might be younger than her. At first she was grossed out with his bull laugh and suddenly lamented waiting out the rain at the bus stop, all alone with the wheezing creep-o but their following interaction built a rapport that she couldn't quite put the finger on. 'why?

The rain puddles announce their destination making a quick detour to his apartment They undress their wet coats by the entrance, as soon the gloves were off Mizu gasps. She was about to ask but everything seemed fine for Syan so she didn't presses on, despite the abnormal deep crimson color, Syan's hands.

- This is my place, I have a trip to make to Fukushima. I'll be taking the luggage that is by my room... Make yourself comfortable meanwhile.

-

- What's it? It was then he sees his reflection by the waiting room mirror. There is no face, just a shadow in place where the face must be. Mizu quickly steps onto the tatami and goes for the light switch.

- What are you spacing out for? We don't have much time, 'member?

- Ah? Oh… I, like, see what you mean. Isn't gonna take too long. He snickers profoundly.

'Yame nasai! Seriously he is getting on her nerves.

The moment he comes back with a travel bag in hand she raises a brow while reading the weekly Shōnen Jump. She didn't expect Z-ONE to be a fake, whatever, as momentarily expressing her irritation with unsightly gestures.

- Well, all set and good to go!

- What do you mean by good?! Aren't you forgetting, baaka. The momentary doubt that arised was quickly put to rest.

- I am missing any form of luggage. That's it, Mount Tai was in front of him all along, but he missed the landmark by a mile. 'Wait a minute?!

- Excuse… - You're excused. You should know that a lady can't travel without her handbag.

He thought of putting up a lame retort but refrained from doing so. Things were getting weirder by the minute as two strangers were acting like childhood friends but none of them were able to point at this elephant even though they always seem to express, one way or another, that something is off.

- It is 6:04, the train that would make us arrive on time parts in less than an hour. For your information. Syan seems a bit annoyed by this fact but Mizu didn't quite read the mood.

- What are you getting at? Did you forget I live along the way to the station?

- As if… Syan again loss his wording and Mizu contributed to the dead silence. He just nods and awkwardly acknowledges her implications. It was like a cloud blocking the sunlight that flowers yearn for, but in mere instances some rays get to slip away from the opaque tyrant. Mizu Burūra just rolls her eyes, stands, but keeps the magazine close to her, provoking on him emotions of approval and dismay since he hasn't finish that volume yet, and it looks like she is an out loud reader. Syan's smile didn't even reach the corner of his lips but finally gave in:

- What is a road trip without company.

- Did you say something?
