So, Hola! Y gracias por tus reviews. I can't think of any ideas to continue the last story, but I hope you enjoyed reading the last chapter as much as I enjoyed writing it. There are some questions some of you guys asked. So...
peggy: Rose is not with Lissa. She ran away with Adrian 10 years ago in this story and Lissa doesn't even know where they are right now. And don't worry, nothing happened to Rose. As for Mase's parents, even Dimitri doesn't know who he is so, no spoilers.
deliriumintheheavens: Yep. Mase's 9. And, well... maturity, thank god he doesn't throw books at the teachers.
Disclaimer: I do not own Vampire Academy or its characters. This is just a fanfiction set in the VA world which is trademarked by Richelle Mead.
Well...Disfrutes!

"I know how to control myself. And by the way, who the Sam Heck's Belikov?" Mase asked with a frown.
Alberta gestured towards me with a flick of her chin, causing him to glance in my direction. He looked back at Alberta as if making sure whether she was serious, to see her gaze fixed at him and fixed his eyes back at me. He then studied me for a moment before asking, "Seriously? You were supposed to gimme a new mentor. But he didn't have to be new to the Academy! At least the last ones knew what to expect. No offense, Guardian Bell-whatever, but I don't think you can handle me. And I like this guy. I don't want him to run away petrified after our first session."
The head guardian raised eyebrows at his short exclamation and asked me, "I think Guardian Belikov does know what to expect, don't you?"
I was stupefied at his choice of words. It somehow pleased me that this young man liked me. I know he could have said it just 'cause I was there, but something told me it wasn't true. I don't know why it mattered what some kid I barely knew thought of me. I mean, I had spent years in the court with royal Moroi's giving me looks of disdain and it hadn't bothered me at all. And I refused to admit that it was 'cause all this gave me a strange sense of familiarity. The last time I was assigned a student, there, too, was an argument. In fact, this boy not only looked like her but had the same habit of lacing everything with a layer of sarcasm. And that was why I didn't want him as my student. He would unknowingly spotlight all her memories which took years to fade in the background. I had, with all my strength, struggled to make sure that they never bothered me when I was busy. But when alone, I couldn't seem to be able to outrun them, no matter how hard I tried. I still spent nights awake thinking about her, and I did not want it to get worse.
"No, I-" I was about to decline the request when Alberta cut me. "And if he doesn't want to, well, I think you'll have to go back to training with Guardian Alto."
"What? No! He's fine. He's perfect. And there's no way I'm going to training with Alto again." He looked at me with his eyes wide and hopeful, and I just couldn't.
"Okay fine. I'll do it." I sighed in defeat. But somehow it felt like it was worth it when I saw him punch the air in victory.
"Good. Now, why don't you two just run along? The fifth period is about to begin and I'm a little busy here." Alberta said, shooing us out of her office.
I stood up at about the same time as Mase, who exclaimed an "Aye, aye, Capitan!" in response to her request. We were out of the doors and into the corridor in a matter of seconds. I didn't notice before, but he sure was way taller than any average child his age. Based on the amount of sarcasm dripping from his words this last minute, you would think that he moved in a careless and absent-minded manner. That would be the misunderstanding of the century. While he strode in, what looked like, a devil-may-care kind-of attitude, I knew better than letting myself be fooled by that. His eyes took in every single thing in the vicinity. God. Yet another one of her reminders. This was going to be a long, long year.
While I was preoccupied with my thoughts, didn't notice Mase looking at me with an almost fierce level of concentration. He didn't pry his eyes away even after he saw me looking. Instead, he raised an eyebrow in question, mimicking my earlier actions. I smirked this time. Huh. It was almost as if I had somehow traveled to the past and was looking at a really tall nine-year-old Abe Mazur. And as strange as it sounded, I started feeling... lighter, you can say, at that moment. It was almost as if a wave of satisfaction had hit me all of a sudden. He was the first one to avert his eyes after that. He looked over to the ground and his brows furrowed in disappointment and a little anger too, I think.
I followed his line of sight and saw a dhampir girl, a year younger than Mase I suppose, talking playfully with two Moroi guys. I looked back at Mase to see his fists clenched. He took a deep breath and then shouted at the top of his voice, "SALLY!"
Mase's clamor seemed to startle the girl as she looked towards us with eyebrows raised, which were quickly replaced by an annoyed expression as she started jogging in their direction. When she finally reached us did I notice that she had emerald green eyes, very similar to the Dragomir eye-colour but darker, with long wavy chestnut brown hair and a lithe build. I felt like I had seen her somewhere too but this time, I couldn't place it. Spared me a glance and a polite "Good Morning", probably 'cause she didn't know me, before turning toward Mase with an exasperated and slightly vexed sigh. I had a feeling she knew what was going on and wasn't too keen on it.
"I think God gave us legs for a reason. Use them, idiot. I'll have a heart attack someday if you don't change that habit of yours."
He went on as if she hadn't spoken, "How many more times do you want me to repeat that you're not to talk to Zeklos before you get it down that little head of yours?"
"First: You don't get to decide what I'm not allowed to do. Second: As much as I appreciate your concern, I think I'm fully capable of handling myself. And third: You got our heads confused, brother dear. Yours is the little one."
"Well, I hate to break it to you but I do get to decide what you're allowed to do and what not!" he snapped back at her. I think he didn't mean for it to come this way but he sounded... cold. For a moment we were both too shocked to react but after a while, understanding dawned on Sally's face.
"Well... who?"
"What do you mean who?"
"You know exactly what I mean. From whom did you borrow it?"
"Don't make this about it. It has nothing to do with this conversation."
"It has everything to do with this conversation. Now spill. Who?"
Mase stole a peek in my direction, which caused her to look at me. Her eyes went wide and then furious.
"Are you out of your goddamned mind, Mason Ibrahim Mazur!"
And then, my mind went What the hell did she just say?...
