Chapter 2:
He asked her to drive because he was too pissed to do so himself. "I cant do this anymore! I won't do this anymore! You let them treat you like a pet! You didn't want a party yet they threw you one any way! And what about Charlie did you get to spend time with him? and don't get me started on Jacob or Edward! Jacob kissed you without your consent! And then he gives some dumb meaningless bracelet as if that is supposed to make things better! I thought he was better than that! Do you know how much self-control I had to have in order not to tear his head off! But no, instead of me! Your mate! You allow that cold dead leech to defend you! That should have been me Bella! Are you ashamed of me? Is that it? Because if that's the case then we can end this right here, right now! I have had enough of people being ashamed of me." he asked coldly.
"Don't you yell at me embry call! You know why I am putting up with this crap! I can't just leave yet Em. Alice promised the volturi I would be changed. I have to get out of that promise before we-"
"Bull crap! Bullcrap! Bullcrap!" He snapped. Seeing him like this turned her on. He was never this loud or feral around the pack or even with Jacob or quil. Only with her. Around her he could be himself. Yes, he was quiet, shy and playful but under that there was a man who had a fire in him and he wouldn't take crap from anybody.
"That's just an excuse because your scared! Your scared Bella, well I am too! An army of vampires are coming after you! And another army of vampires wants you changed! And there's nothing I can do about it! I have to watch Jacob paw after you while Edward hovers over your neck like some freaking value meal from a burger king menu! They treat you like an object not a person! And I can't watch it anymore!"
"Embry! All hell will break loose if we tell people right now! it's all about timing. Where are we going?" she asked
"your house. I would like to treat my mate to a vampire and werewolf free environment. So, I planned a nice romantic weekend at my place. And screw it Bella! Screw it. Everyone will have to get over it. Fine, ill make you a deal. After this newborn battle is over, were coming out no more hiding. I can't take it anymore. I finally have someone to call my own and someone to love me for me and someone I can love but because people will get pissy, I have to hide it. I'm tired of hiding. Its bad enough my mom won't tell me who my dad is, and the pack themselves don't understand and never will. I'm not full Quileute Bella. I wasn't supposed to phase. But because somebody couldn't zip their pants I was born, and it could be any body. It could have been Harry or Billy or Joshua or even Quills dad. But everyone is so afraid to spill the beans because it will make the tribe look bad. And did you know Sam's dad came home a few months ago! And Sam's mom just lets him in with open arms. He's even a part of the stupid council now! All the important pack members parents are on it. Paul's dad, Jacob's dad, Seth and Leah's dad, Sam's dad, Jared's freaking father, even Colin and Brady's dad just because he's Billy's brother-in-law and lastly quill's freaking grandfather. Its ridiculous! Tribe politics takes precedence over everything!"
So that's what was bothering him all week. Bella thought as they pulled up to her house. "hey when you say your place, do you mean your mom's house or-"
"The Makah reservation Bella. My uncle and his wife have missed you. So, I suggest you pack your stuff for a least a week. I gotta take a call anyway."
Bella nodded and headed inside.
