Bankai777 - About your review. I will not be saying anything on the topic besides that it is a possibility in the future, but not right now. I don't want Naruto to have all of these stupid-ass pulled powers and that much outside help. For the time being, the character you mentioned will be more of a mentor than anything else.
## Naruto's Mindscape ##
"What the hell?" - Naruto asked as he was dropped onto the floor of what appeared to be a sewer. Naruto's entire body was hurting. It felt like every cell in his body wanted to explode with the force of a supernova. Naruto just bit through the pain and stood up because he sensed a presence behind him.
Naruto quickly blocked a sword swing from the spirit holding a large clever like sword. "You know you can be a real dick head sometimes Zangetsu." - Naruto said while internally crying out in pain. Naruto's cries of pain would echo throughout his mindscape because they're in his mind.
"I know I can," - the merged for of Zangetsu said to the blonde who was in clear pain. "Anyways we should get going. Two people would like to meet you." - Zangetsu said while thinking that it was more like two people and a fox. "So let's get going."
With that being said Naruto quickly stood up while fastening his black and white katana to his back. "Yo Zangetsu," - Naruto began, "Anything you could teach me while I'm meeting them?" Naruto hoped that there was something because he had a very weird drive to get stronger at the moment.
Zangetsu gave him a puzzled look as if to say, "Are you a fucking idiot." Naruto just rolled his eyes at the look. "I can create shadow clones of myself and have them train while I'm meeting them. I sometimes swear you seem to forget that I can use chakra."
"I suppose I could teach you the basics of the shinigami and hollow arts, however, I must warn you to not become too over-reliant once you do learn the ways of these arts." - Zangetsu said finally managing to shut up the hollow side of him that was rattling on in his head. He would then look over to see Naruto simply create four shadow clones.
"Okay clones, whenever Zangetsu gives you the signal go over and listen to what he has to say." - Naruto said with a rather bored look. "Make sure you're all paying attention." Naruto would then be tackled to the ground by what appears to be a teenager about his age. "Get off of me you damn spirit."
Naruto groaned as he finally got the spirit off of him. "What the hell Hakaijitsu? I can still feel pain in here you know." - Naruto said just shaking his head as the zanpakuto spirit started to get flustered. "Anyways, where your other half. I sort of expected her to get here along with you."
They soon heard a slight giggle from what appears to be another teenager of similar age to Naruto. The spirit bore pale skin with piercing blue eyes that seemed to be analyzing Naruto. The spirit had short white hair that had a slight blue tint. Most shocking of all was the fact that the same three whisker marks were present on her just like Naruto. The spirit was dressed in a pair of skin-tight white pants with a white shirt connected to the pants covering her upper chest while leaving her back completely exposed. The clothing had a light blue outline on every edge of the white clothing. The spirit wore a light blue long sleeve shirt that covered the entirety of the spirit's upper body. There was also a white katana with blue accents strapped to her back. (A/N When you think of their appearances think of the types of uniforms Soifon and Yoruichi wore during their fight in the Soul Society Arc of Bleach.)
Now identified as Hakaijitsu, the other spirit could pass as her twin in not for the practically inverted color scheme. Hakaijitsu had the same pale skin but had fiery red eyes instead of the piercing blue eyes of her partner. She bore the same whisker marks as Naruto and the other spirit. The spirit wore the same outfit as her partner only changing in matters of colors. Instead of the white pants and undershirt, she bore a black and red version of it. It was the same with the overshirt. The overshirt was a red color compared to the other spirit's blue shirt.
"Oh, so there you are Sozojitsu." - Naruto said giving her a warm and welcoming smile only to be slapped upside of the head by his other spirit. "What the hell was that for you dumbass?"
"For welcoming her but not me you moron." - Hakaijitsu said stomping on poor Naruto's foot. Hakaijitsu smirked when she saw Naruto wince in pain but was about to be all too shocked when she looked up to see a fist connecting to her gut.
"Leave me the fuck alone." - Naruto said. "I'm getting tired of this so let's just get started already. I need to wake up soon." Naruto was mad but was unable to act on it as he had no energy from trying to restrain the full brunt of a Zanpakuto's Shikai release. Naruto's release of his Shikai was unusually strong, however, as he had reiatsu from both the Reio and Ichigo Kurosaki. "So let's get started already. I can assume that I was brought here to meet the two of you after the first release of the sword." - Naruto said gesturing towards the black and white katana that was laying down on his lap.
"Well that's the thing Naruto." - Sozojitsu began, "You're only here because this was a planned event so that we would all meet and talk about certain topics, however, some strange occurrences had happened." Sozojitsu looked towards Zangetsu who was currently explaining the basics of Shunpo and the way to flash step to the ten clones.
"You're referring to how Zangetsu is in here and how it will complicate things aren't you Sozojitsu? - Naruto asked looking slightly concerned and annoyed. He was mainly annoyed at the fact that there were currently four different entities in his head who could talk to him at all times. "But before we get into any of that I some questions."
"Naruto, please call me Sozo I find it much better than Sozojitsu, and yes I'll answer your questions seeing how Hakaijitsu is asleep." - Sozojitsu said with a slight chuckle. "But to answer your first question as to what Zangetsu's presence may complicate is if he will bond to your soul or just remain in here. If he bonds then that's a good thing if he doesn't then it could become a slight problem.
Naruto just laughed. "This is just great you know?" - Naruto asked receiving a slight nod. "Anyways, Sozo-chan how come you and Hakaijitsu look the same age as I do. I figured that you would both be in adult form, could it be you two grow as I do?"
"Yes, we are unlike many spirits as you can tell. Hakaijitsu and I grow with you because your reiatsu is still evolving as you grow and age. And we will continue to grow and evolve based on your reiatsu and age." - Sozojitsu said with a slight smile that showed some level of happiness from the otherwise unemotional spirit.
"So just another thing to add to the list of things to think about later today." - Naruto mumbled quietly. "This is quickly getting tiring. Trying to understand all of this shit about gods of death and other dimensions." Sozojitsu gave a slight chuckle at this as she could understand.
"Don't worry you aren't the only one." - Sozojitsu giggled at how puzzled Naruto began to look. Naruto was just looking with pure confusion at the zanpakuto spirit. "Oh my, you look so adorable!" - Sozojitsu squealed making the blonde blush deeply. Naruto was completely caught off guard by this considering how the spirit had acted previously.
"And here I thought that you were the serious one. But it turns out that you're just a teenage girl at heart." - Naruto said with his blush fading. Naruto was going to continue, whenever he felt all of his shadow clones dispel. "Oh this is just great!" - Naruto shouted out. "More shit to think about."
Receiving the confused look from his only awake zanpakuto spirit Naruto decided to elaborate some. "Zangetsu explained the basics of each shinigami and hollow arts. He also instructed my clones to try and learn the Shunpo technique." - Naruto said still receiving a confused look from the zanpakuto spirit. "You know what I don't have time for this. Let's get down to why we're here shall we?"
Recomposing herself Sozojitsu said, "Lets, I'd say it's about time." The now waking up Hakaijitsu heard this and realized that she had missed out on much of the fun, but decided to be quiet about it when feeling the aura that everyone was releasing. "Zangetsu, could you please come here? We are about to start."
Hearing that Zangetsu appeared in front of them in an instant with a Shunpo further powered by a Sonido. "I'd say it's about time, isn't it? After all, I will not allow you to make the same mistake I had made with Ichigo." - Zangetsu said receiving an empathetic look from Naruto who had been informed on the story when the two had first met.
"Okay then. Where to start?" - Naruto said thinking about the best question to ask. "Oh, yea, I know. Why didn't any of you tell me of the Kyubi's presence?" - Naruto asked in annoyance as if he had known it was there from the start. Naruto then proceeded towards the Kyubi's gate.
"Naruto you really shouldn't do that." - Sozojitsu said slightly concerned for what the blonde was about to do. It was whenever they saw Naruto start to rip the seal off of the gate when they really flipped shit.
"What the hell you idiot?" - Hakaijitsu yelled as she dashed towards the blonde. Naruto had completely predicted this reaction. Hakaijitsu was too late to realize this though. She went to hit Naruto only to be blocked by an arm. Hakaijitsu was staring into emotionless eyes whenever a large nine-tailed fox releases a roar that shook the entire room.
"Damn fox, so that's how you repay my kindness." - Naruto said slightly annoyed. "You know Kurama, it really isn't all that nice to do that to our guests." Naruto was smirking at the visual shock present on the three zanpakuto spirit's faces. No one would have expected Naruto to have already befriended the nine-tailed fox.
"What the hell!" - Hakaijitsu shouted towards Naruto who was talking to the fox and telling how good it was to see him again. Everyone's eyes shot towards the spirit as she quickly tried to slap the blonde only to be blocked once again.
"You know that's not very effective Hakaijitsu or do you prefer Hakai how Sozojitsu prefers Sozo?" - Naruto asked the annoyed-looking spirit. Who just repeatedly slapped his arm. "Can you quit it? It doesn't hurt it's just plain annoying."
"Not until you answer the question that's on everyone's mind." - Hakaijitsu said only to receive a blank stare from the blonde. "We want to know how much you already knew dumbass."
Naruto just continued to stare at her blankly before saying, "You say something?" Hakaijitsu practically just gave up upon hearing that. Seeing this Naruto decided to explain. "Wow, you sure are a big baby Hakai-chan. Let's start at the beginning..."
## Flashback - 7 years - Streets of Konoha ##
Naruto could currently be found running from an angry mob on October 10 or when the Kyubi no Yoko had attacked the village. Much of the village had recovered by this time, but people's minds were still set on what they call "finishing what the Yondaime started" or in easier terms trying to kill poor Naruto Uzumaki. Naruto was just a small child who was falsely called the Kyubi no Yoko reincarnated.
"Why are you doing this?" - poor little Naruto asked as he ran away from the angry mob. The people in the mob had everything from pipes to pieces of furniture. Every one of them just wanted poor Naruto to suffer.
"Shut up and die already demon!"
"You killed my parents' demon!"
"You know exactly why we're doing this demon."
People kept hurling insults towards the child but it began to get dire when shinobi started to throw things such as shuriken and kunai towards Naruto who was just trying to run for his dear life. Naruto just kept trying to evade the kunai the best he could but one slipped through and pierced Naruto's lower leg when the mob finally caught up to the boy.
"Let's finish what the Yondaime started!" - the mob shouted. The mob was quickly closing in on the now crying Naruto whenever a large pulse of reddish-orange chakra surrounded Naruto. Naruto's eyes changed from their normal violet color to beat red with a black slit replacing his pupil. Naruto's eyes now resembled the Kyubi No Yoko's.
"Come child." - a commanding voice said to a now awoken Naruto. Naruto sat up holding his head. He felt as if a brick hit his head. Naruto decided that it was a good idea to follow the voice.
Naruto was trudging through the water in the sewer when he came into the large room that the voice had come from. The water was up half up to Naruto's knees. In this room sat a large set of gates that looked as if they could hold back a mountain crashing into them. These gates were meant to keep something of far greater magnitude locked up though.
Naruto could feel the ground shaking as a large figure walked towards him from inside the gates. This figure was a large mountain-sized nine-tailed fox with extreme jealousy and anger issues. The world knows this fox as the Kyubi no Yoko, however, he would be known as Kurama to the small child that sat before him. "Hello." - the fox said with a wicked grin that showed off his sharp teeth.
"Umm, h-hi?" - Naruto managed to choke out after a moment. Naruto was having difficulty talking due to what or who was sitting him front of him. Naruto was scared, to say the least. He would never have thought that he'd be the container of the Kyubi no Yoko.
"There is no need to be afraid, child." - the fox said. "I have no intention of harming you. I have seen how you are treated and it disgusts me." - the fox continued. Kurama was truly angered at the treatment Naruto had received from the villagers. To see a small child such as this be forced to endure what many people wouldn't go through in their lifetimes was rather tragic to perceive.
Naruto just stared towards the large fox who was sitting rather quietly which is quite surprising considering the size and personality of the fox. "Aren't you supposed to be a being of pure hatred?" - Naruto asked still apprehensive towards the fox. Naruto was still unaware of what the fox had known about him and what he went through every day.
"You humans make me out to be that way in books. I am only perceived that way because I attacked those who disturbed me." - Kurama said. "Also what is your name short one."
Kurama was grinning towards the small child who was glaring at the fox. "I am not short. I am only seven after all. And besides, why should I tell you my name?" - Naruto asked crossing his arms in defiance. Kurama just chuckled at the boy. The chuckle was nearly enough to knock Naruto over.
"I was simply asking because it can be rather dull in here. How would you feel if you were locked in a cage in a sewer for seven years straight?" - Kurama asked. The fox was now back to grinning towards the flustered-looking child.
"That sounds like it'd be super boring. How did you manage all of that time?" - Naruto asked finally getting over the sense of precaution he was feeling towards the fox. The fox again just chuckled towards the boy.
"I had your eyes to look through child. Back to what I called you here for." - Kurama began, "I called you here because you used my chakra when you were attacked by the villagers. This caused you to go on a small rampage towards those villagers." - the fox said seeing Naruto looking scared.
"What do you mean I went on a rampage?" - the small boy asked very concernedly. "I don't want to hurt anyone and what is happening to my body. This can't be happening. What to do? What to do?" - Naruto continued to ramble about.
Naruto was soon silenced as a wave of killing intent caused him to free. "You didn't hurt anyone child. And as for your body. I am having my chakra control it to get it to safety." - the large fox said looking annoyed at the boy's ramblings. What could he expect from Naruto though? He was only seven.
Naruto relaxed at hearing this but began to get curious. "What do you mean you are having it go to safety?" - Naruto asked the large fox. Kurama just began to look annoyed.
"Enough of these meaningless questions child. I am sending you back to your body now. You are back home now." - the fox said before continuing, "However before you go I will tell you that my name is..."
## Flashback End - Naruto's Mindscape ##
"Kurama." - Naruto said once he had finished telling the story. Naruto had a small smile present. All of the spirits were looking rather shocked except for Zangetsu. That is only because Zangetsu had been secretly watching over Naruto since his birth to protect the child at all costs. Zangetsu was only fulfilling his former master's final wish.
Speaking of the large fox. The fox had now fallen asleep like usual. Everyone heard a loud snore coming from the direction of the large fox who had gone and laid down. The large fox's snores were causing gusts of wind that were blowing the water all over everybody. "Damn fox." - Naruto muttered before standing up.
"Going somewhere?" - Sozojitsu asked the blonde who was currently walking away from the group of zanpakuto spirits.
"Yea, I'm going to wake back up now. I have things to tend to." - Naruto said in a rather bored tone. Naruto's face displayed only boredom. This had caused Hakaijitsu to get a little mad. "But anyway, I'll talk to you guys later. If you need me, you know how to talk to me." - Naruto said as he faded from his mindscape.
"That bastard! How dare he just leave like that!" - Hakaijitsu said fuming. The other spirits just laughed at Hakaijitsu's concerted face. This only made her even madder. She was about to scream at them whenever she heard...
"I will be taking my leave now. I have no reason to remain here as long as Naruto is not here. I will see you all later." - Zangetsu said stoically. Hakaijitsu was going to say something back but was pulled backward by Sozojitsu.
"Okay then, we will see you later on Zangetsu." - Sozojitsu said as she practically dragged Hakaijitsu back to where they normally resided when alone. "Well, that was a very unexpected turn of events. To think Naruto had us all fooled."
## Naruto's Bedroom - Uzumaki Compound ##
Naruto's eyes were flooded with moonlight and dryness once he awoke. Naruto's entire body was aching and felt as if his bones were snapping back into place. To say the least he felt like garbage. That wasn't all that important right now though. He would just have to deal with it. He had to get up and moving. Naruto had to prepare for tomorrow. He hadn't really wanted to deal with the old man's questioning tomorrow but he would just have to deal with it.
Naruto tried to move but found himself unable to. He felt a weight being pressed down on his upper chest. Naruto looked down to see a mess of dark red hair and the face of Mayumi Uzumaki. "Well, this is just great. Now I also have to deal with this." - Naruto thought somewhat annoyed but that feeling quickly disappeared as he realized that Mayumi was practically cuddling herself against him. A deep blush crept towards his cheeks.
"It would appear you have yourself, someone special Naruto." - A voice squealed from within his mind. "You two would make such a cute couple."
Naruto quickly frowned at the comment from the spirit. "Shut up Sozo-chan. We would not make a cute couple." - Naruto thought with a deep frown. "You're just a teenage girl at heart after all."
"Oh shut up, you big doof. Just admit that you like her." - Sozojitsu said in a mocking yet innocent tone. "It's clear that you do from your deep blush and elevated heart rate."
"Whatever, Sozo-chan. I need to get up." - Naruto responded in thought. Sozojitsu continued to tease Naruto inside his mind until he finally cut the connection between the two. "Damn spirit is so annoying." - Naruto said aloud. Naruto quickly realized his mistake whenever a certain someone started to stir.
"What was that?" - Mayumi asked rubbing her eyes. Mayumi looked up towards Naruto and blushed as she had realized how she was laying against him.
"Comfortable?" - Naruto said in a teasing tone. "You know it is pretty weird to sneak in someone's room and sleep with them without consent."
"Sh-shut up!" - Mayumi said in a high-pitched voice. Mayumi's blush deepened as she heard what Naruto was saying. Naruto was just giving her a rather pleasant yet challenging smirk.
"Oh, embarrassed are we? Not to be unexpected after getting caught." - Naruto said further teasing the girl. Mayumi tried to move away from Naruto but was stopped by a hand grabbing hers. "You are not leaving yet. We need to talk."
"Wh-what?" - Mayumi asked confused at what Naruto meant. Mayumi had thought that this was about how she was in his room asleep next to him.
"We need to talk about what happened at the training grounds today." - Naruto said rather seriously. Mayumi's face slightly softened at hearing this but she quickly adopted the same expression as Naruto. "As I'm sure you have your questions. So just go away and ask them"
"Hmm, where to start?" - Mayumi said aloud. Naruto knew that this was going to take fairly long so he would just give her the answers in the simplest form possible. "What was that energy that was emitting from you?"
Naruto hadn't expected this to be the first question but answered it nonetheless. "That energy that was being emitted was called reiatsu. I assume you would also like to know why it felt so strong." - Naruto said receiving a nod he continued, "The reason the energy was so strong was that it is a mix of the Reiō's and Ichigo Kurosaki's reiatsu."
"Ich-Ichigo Kur-Kurosaki?" - Mayumi said stuttering. When receiving the nod from Naruto she just had to ask. "But how? I thought that he had given his life when defending the entirety of existence?" Ichigo Kurosaki's name had echoed throughout the ages. The legends had said that he was a mere human who had ascended to what could be considered godlike status. Ichigo was the sole factor in the defeat of Sosuke Aizen and Yhwach.
"Yes that is true, but he decided to ask one last request of his Zanpakuto spirit." - Naruto said not wanting to go into depth about what he had learned from Zangetsu. Seeing the curious look that he was receiving he decided to elaborate. "A zanpakuto spirit is a Shinigami's sword. A Zanpakuto spirit looks like this." - Naruto said as he had Zangetsu manifest into reality.
The tall spirit was looking around the room until he noticed the two teenagers sitting on the bed looking at him. "So it appears that you have decided to let her know after all Naruto. This isn't completely unexpected considering how close you appear to be." - Zangetsu said noting the desire to protect in Naruto's eyes. "I haven't seen that look in ages. It has been far too long." - Zangetsu thought.
Naruto just rolled his eyes, "Back to important matters. This is Ichigo Kurosaki's former zanpakuto spirit. His name is Zangetsu." - Naruto said to the girl sitting across from him on his bed. Noticing the look of hesitation in her eyes he added, "Ichigo had one final task for Zangetsu. That was to find someone worthy of his former master's powers." Naruto had shotten a glance towards Zangetsu saying don't say anything. "That person has yet to be found though."
Mayumi just looked into Naruto's eye searching for any form of lies but only found that she was not being told everything. "There is still more than you're leaving out, Naruto. I know you all too well." - Mayumi said while crossing her arms towards the blonde. "The look in your eyes says it all."
"Yes there is but I was hoping to avoid the topic." - Naruto said shooting a glance towards Zangetsu. Zangetsu gave Naruto a knowing look. "There were some interesting developments though."
Mayumi just shot him a curious and concerned look. Naruto was about to explain when he was beaten to it by the spirit. "Naruto has developed the ability to manifest and use reiatsu. This was a rather interesting development as it has not happened in centuries." - Zangetsu explained, purposely leaving out the fine details. "Now I would advise that you guys end this little chat. The sun is rising and you both have your graduation exams to take tomorrow." Naruto sent him a thankful look but was sadly about to wish he was dead.
"Wait what?" - Mayumi asked. "I had completely forgotten that today was the graduation exams." Naruto just laughed but was quickly shut up by a slap to the face.
Naruto's face was stinging from the slap and he was about to say something but just received a sharp glare. "Naruto, don't even start. If you looked at the clock it's already six in the morning." - Mayumi said stumbling over her words. "We need to be there by 6:45 dumbass. So hurry up."
Mayumi just shot out of Naruto's room leaving the now stupefied blonde sitting there. "Kami please help me." - Naruto said while standing up and cracking his back and knuckles. As Naruto stood up his limbs started to pop with each movement. "Kami, this is almost as bad as speaking to the old bastard." - Naruto said about speaking to the Hokage.
Naruto heard a chuckle from the spirit. "You really should respect your elders, Naruto." - Zangetsu said with a small smile. "Anyway, I'll be taking my leave now. Call me when you need assistance or just need to talk." Zangetsu soon started to fade away as he returned to Naruto's mindscape and soul.
Naruto just smiled as he grabbed a towel and headed towards his bathroom. "This is going to be a fun day." - Naruto said aloud as he entered his bathroom.
Naruto had taken a quick shower and dressed quickly. Naruto was dressed in a pair of dark grey anbu pants and a black long sleeve jacket with red accents. Underneath Naruto wore a black long sleeve shirt. Naruto wore closed in black shinobi sandals and a black cloak over all of this. The cloak was only connected at the neck so Naruto still had an easy movement of his hands and access to his sword. Naruto's cloak and jacket both bore black engravings of the Uzumaki Clan symbol. Naruto's hair fell to just above his eyes with a few strands falling in front of his violet eyes. (A/N Naruto's cloak is very similar to the one Sasuke wears in Boruto)
Naruto was now walking down the hallway whenever he heard someone shout, "Wait up Naruto." Naruto looked behind him to see Mayumi running towards him. Mayumi was moving too fast to slow down in time when she slipped on a wet spot on the floor.
Acting on pure instinct, Naruto immediately grabbed Mayumi as she about to hit the floor. "Clumsy fool." - Naruto said with a slight smirk. Mayumi just looked towards the blonde. Mayumi was quite shocked at how good Naruto looked.
Mayumi did the best she could to hide her blush as Naruto brought her back to her feet. "You look quite nice." - Naruto complimented Mayumi. This only caused Mayumi's blush to deepen. "Anyway, we should get going it's nearly 6:30."
Mayumi wore long tight-fitting black leggings that went down to her ankles. She wore a dark blue long sleeve shirt that hugged her slim figure quite well. Over this, she wore a white haori that hugged her figure tightly just like her shirt. Mayumi's dark red hair was let down and it reached her upper back. There were some locks of hair that fell upon her dark blue eyes.
## Konoha's Academy - 7 A.M ##
Naruto and Mayumi were both sitting in the corner of the room quietly talking about and practicing their fuinjutsu. The rest of the class was being extremely loud. Many of the students weren't in their seats or wouldn't shut up. All students began to quiet down when their sensei, Iruka entered the room.
Iruka was pleasantly surprised to see that all of the students had quieted down. He was also shocked to see all students paying attention to him. He just checked it up to them wanting to get on with the graduation exams. "Hello class, today you will all be taking the graduation exams to become Genin of Konohagakure. I wish you all the best of luck on your exams." - Iruka said with a smile. His smile only widened at the sight of Naruto sitting quietly paying attention to him. "We will be handing out the written exams here shortly. You will have a total of 30 minutes to complete the test."
Iruka started to had out the tests and got to Naruto who appeared to be writing something down. Iruka paid no mind to that, however, he looked curiously at the sword the was poking out of Naruto's cloak. "Naruto." - Iruka said, "Why do you have a sword with you?" Naruto just looked had him with calm eyes.
"I have it with me because I know that our Jonin senseis will be assigned at the end of the exams." - Naruto said quietly. "I wouldn't want to be unprepared when we are tested by them would I? Iruka just looked towards Naruto as if he was a child.
Iruka just continued to pass out papers as he wondered how Naruto had known such a thing. Then he remembered that Shisui lived with Naruto and Mayumi at the Uzumaki compound and most likely told them that they would be assigned their Jonin sensei after their exams.
## 30 Minutes Later ##
Naruto had finished his test within the first 10 minutes with little difficulty. Mayumi quickly completed hers roughly five minutes after Naruto had. This was because they were both constantly studying outside of class. The person to finish next was Sasuke Uchiha. His fangirls were thinking about how great he was going to do.
"Alright everyone, please pass your tests forward." - Iruka instructed. Once all of the tests were passed forward he stated, "Now you will be tested on the basic academy jutsu. We will call you by name. When your name is called please come down and do the jutsu." - Iruka said. Many people were beginning to squirm around in their seats after being seated for so long.
Eventually, Naruto's name was called. Naruto quietly walked down to the front of the room. Naruto's eyes were completely blank. He had no expression. He was simply waiting to be told what to do. "Okay, Naruto please do the henge." - Iruka said. Naruto simply made a half ram seal and transformed into a henge of Hiruzen Sarutobi. "Good job Naruto, now please switch places with this log." Doing as he was told Naruto switched with the log without a single hand sign.
"Very impressive Naruto. Doing these jutsu with half or no hand signs indicates that you have complete mastery over them." - Iruka said complimenting the blonde. Iruka had a smile on his face. "Now please create five bunsin." - Iruka said. Naruto just gave him a puzzled look.
"Iruka-sensei I cannot create five bunsin. I simply have too much chakra and my control is not at that level yet. I'm sure you are aware of what is the Uzumaki curse." - Naruto said calmly receiving many looks from his classmates. "Would it be okay if I were to create Kage Bunsin instead?"
After thinking for a moment Iruka said, "Yes that is acceptable considering how much chakra you would have due to you being an Uzumaki." Hearing these words Naruto immediately created five Kage Bunsin(Shadow Clones). "Very well done Naruto. Here is your headband." - Iruka said handing Naruto a headband with the symbol of the Leaf on it.
Naruto accepted it before walking back to his seat. Mayumi was called up next and performed flawlessly just as Naruto had. "Good job Mayumi." - Naruto said quietly. Naruto received a smile from the Uzumaki. Naruto simply smiled back before turning his attention back to Iruka.
"Everyone who passed is to remain here until all of your jonin sensei arrive." - Iruka said as about 20 students walked out of the door. "In the meantime, I will announce the top male and female of the class on these exams." Many students were now solely focused on Iruka as he said, "The two students at the top of the class this year were Mayumi Uzumaki and Naru..."
"What!" - Sakura screamed. "How is that dobe top of the class this year?" Sakura pointed towards Naruto who was simply focused on his fuinjutsu.
"Quiet down Sakura!" - Iruka instructed in a raised voice. "Both Naruto and Mayumi achieved some of the highest scores on these tests ever recorded." Much to the shock of everyone including Sasuke. Everyone just stared at the two. "Mayumi has the fourth-highest score to be recorded below Minato Namikaze, Itachi Uchiha, and Naruto Uzumaki. Naruto is currently tied with Minato Namikaze for the top position as they both got a perfect score." Everyone's mouths just dropped. How could that dobe match their late fourth Hokage's score?
Sakura was about to say something whenever they saw three jonin walk into the room. The jonin who walked into the room were Asuma Sarutobi, Kurenai Yuki, and Kakashi Hatake. Both Asuma and Kurenai were looking serious as they each called their selected students up to the front of the room and left with them. The only remaining students were the trashcan, Sasuke, Mayumi, and Naruto. (A/N Oh sorry I guess I accidentally called Sakura trash. Oh well too late to change it)
Kakashi was looking very bored almost tired as he said the three names on his squad. Would Naruto Uzumaki, Mayumi Uzumaki, and Sasuke Uchiha please come with me? And you come to pinky." - Kakashi said pointing to Sakura. Sakura was about to say something about the name but was immediately shut up whenever Naruto and Mayumi disappeared. "Show-offs."
Kakashi disappeared in a leaf shunshin to the roof where Naruto and Mayumi were already sitting and talking. "Hey what the hell was that?" - Kakashi asked the two. "You can't be that fast at your age."
"You're one to talk Kakashi. You were already a Jonin by our age." - Naruto pointed out to the now annoyed Kakashi. "Anyways I already know what you're gonna say. I don't plan on telling the other two." - Naruto said to the silver-haired perv. Kakashi was just plain annoyed at the blonde at this point and was about to respond when he heard something.
"Don't plan on telling us what?" - Sakura asked now curious. Sakura looked into Naruto's eyes only to freeze in place as she saw what appeared to be a large orange fox standing behind him. "Wh-what i-is th-that?"
"Cut it out Naruto. You shouldn't be doing that right now." - Mayumi said scolding the blonde. Naruto only smirked and quit the genjutsu.
"Alright brats. Let's get started." - Kakashi said annoyed that he couldn't be reading his porn right now. Naruto only laughed at the man who just looked even more annoyed. "Okay, so tell me your name, interests, or goals. You start emo." - Kakashi said pointing towards Sasuke.
Sasuke just scoffed at the name and said, "My name is Sasuke Uchiha and I want to kill a certain man." Sakura practically had hearts in her eyes at Sasuke's tone.
"You next pinky." - Kakashi said pointing towards Sakura. Sakura was too busy fantasizing over her Sasuke to hear Kakashi say. "Oh, great. A fangirl, how lovely." - Kakashi said with an eye roll. "You then." Kakashi pointed towards Mayumi.
Mayumi simply said, "My name is Mayumi Uzumaki and I enjoy learning about shinobi history and training. I don't have many hobbies besides smacking Naruto upside the head. Kakashi just snickered at the end of it before receiving a death glare from Naruto.
"Fine, fine." - Kakashi said with his hands up dramatically. "And finally you blondie." Kakashi just pointed at Naruto. Naruto's eye twitched slightly at the nickname.
"My name is Naruto Uzumaki. I enjoy eating, training, and learning more in general. My hobbies are none of business." - Naruto said with a challenging grin. "But I think you are aware of at least one of them aren't you pervert?" Kakashi's eye twitched at this but ultimately decided that Naruto had inherited this from his mother.
Kakashi was starting to get very annoyed by Naruto's antics. "Oh a pervert am I?" - Kakashi asked curiously. Naruto just looked at Kakashi with a sharp look.
"Yea you are a pervert. I have seen you reading the book, Icha Icha Paradise, the book is literally just porn." - Naruto said smirking towards the man. "Also, the way you giggle like a madman whilst reading it would indicate ideas running through your mind while you read the book."
Kakashi just sighed before saying, "Whatever, meet at training ground 7 tomorrow at 7 A.M." Kakashi just looked at the four with a rather bored expression. Kakashi was about to set off when he quickly said, "Oh, and by the way, don't eat breakfast if you don't want to throw up." With that Kakashi disappeared in a leaf shunshin.
Sasuke just grunted whenever Kakashi left and said, "If we're done here then I will take my leave." Sakura was thinking about how cool she thought he had sounded.
Sakura would be rather disappointed whenever Sasuke just flat out ignored her when she asked him out. "One of these days he will be all mine. All of him will be mine." - Sakura thought with a blush. Her blush only further deepened when she pictured Sasuke in a not safe for work amount of clothing.
Sakura was quickly brought from her mind whenever she heard Naruto say, "Yo Mayumi, wanna go out for dinner tonight? Shisui's cooking isn't exactly preferable to eat for two days in a row." Naruto just smirked as he saw Mayumi gleam a little bit.
"Of course Naruto. Let's go." - Mayumi responded as she was about to walk away with Naruto. Naruto was just humming the words to the song Blue Bird by Ikimono-gakari. They were about to walk off whenever they were interrupted by an annoying pink-haired trash can.
"Why would you want to go out with someone like him? All he is is a dem..." - Sakura was saying despite Naruto. Naruto, however, was having none of it. Naruto instantly flashed in front of her with his sword already drawn to her neck.
"I wouldn't suggest finishing that sentence if you value your life. You may be able to call me a dobe or an idiot, but I will not stand to be called a demon by the likes of you." - Naruto said. Naruto's voice ran as cold as ice. There was a significant amount of killer intent being emitted by Naruto. Mayumi just said nothing. She had known that this would happen if someone said something about him being a "demon". The only time Naruto was like this was when someone had said called him a demon or had tried to hurt her in any way. "I would suggest refraining from talking to me from now on."
Sakura was trembling as she saw Naruto instantly appear in front of her with the intent of ending her life. She would never expect something like this from him. Everyone has their dark sides though. It takes very little for them to be completely unleashed though.
Sakura finally managed to look up to see that she was all alone on the rooftop of the academy. She started to sob as she wished Sasuke was there to protect her. Unknown to her someone was watching them from afar.
## Rooftop of the Uzumaki Compound ##
"So this is where you went after dinner." - Mayumi said to Naruto who was sitting on the roof of their home. Naruto had been there for what felt like hours. He was recalling all that had happened after they had left the academy roof. Naruto simply smiled as he felt Mayumi's presence.
"Yes, it's a great place to come and hide from the world and just think while looking at the clouds." - Naruto said rather calmly. Naruto was sitting down on his cloak that he had spread on the rooftop.
"That I can agree with. But there is something I wanted to talk to you about." - Mayumi said as she joined Naruto.
Naruto simply sat there for a moment and said, "If this is about what happened with Sakura on the roof of the academy then there is nothing to speak of. I won't stand being called a demon by someone who would never be able to understand." Mayumi just sat there silently agreeing with Naruto. Mayumi was at Naruto's side for much of their lives. She knew how Naruto was and would act in response to such a thing. Mayumi just smiled at the blonde.
After roughly an hour of watching the clouds, Mayumi finally broke the silence, "Naruto," - Mayumi started. Naruto looked up to see the red head's face hovering above his. "You need to stop putting this burden onto yourself."
"Mayumi, I was chosen as the keeper of the Kyubi no Yoko and I will not let anyone disrespect me or Lord Fourth's decision in the sealing of such a beast." - Naruto said quietly. "It would be wrong of me to try and let others carry such an unnecessary burden when I alone can bear it. I know what you're going to say and I know. It is not healthy to do such a thing but I would gladly suffer so others can be at peace." Naruto just gave a weak smile.
Mayumi's eyes became ever so slightly wet. "You're such a stubborn fool." - Mayumi said punching Naruto in the arm. Both of them just gave a slight laugh. "But it what makes Naruto well Naruto. And I can't really complain about it can I?"
"No, you can't. You're simply stuck with me." - Naruto said with a small smile. "You'll never be rid of me."
"Guess I am just stuck with you then." - Mayumi said smiling towards the blonde who was laying down with his head in her lap. Naruto was slowly starting to drift off to sleep whenever he felt someone pull on his mind.
"Hey kit." - Kurama said to Naruto who was simply enjoying his time with Mayumi. Kurama had been slightly smirking the entire time but knew that it would all come to an end eventually.
"Yea what's up?" - Naruto thought. "Something wrong?" Kurama simply gave a slight frown. Naruto felt the sadness radiating from the fox.
"No nothing is wrong." - Kurama said quietly. "Just don't let those close to you slip away from you. Cherish them for as long as you live." Naruto and Kurama both just remained silent before the silence was broken by Kurama.
"Hey, you might want to go to sleep soon. You should get at least 6 hours in. Also, you might want to take your little girlfriend to her room." - Kurama said to a now blushing Naruto. "She fell asleep on you."
Naruto just silently agreed before coming back to reality. Naruto saw that Mayumi had fallen asleep on his shoulder. Naruto simply smiled before picking her up bridal style and carrying her to her room.
Mayumi started to stir once Naruto was walking down the halfway of the house. Mayumi mentally froze as she realized that Naruto was carrying her in such an embarrassing position. "Put me down, Naruto." - Mayumi whined to the humming blonde.
"Why would I do that? We're nearing your room." - Naruto asked. "And besides I like carrying you."
Mayumi just blushed before opening her eyes to see Naruto looking down at her with passionate eyes. "Umm, are you gonna get out of my arms? We're at your room now." - Naruto said a little hesitantly. Naruto was thinking about what Kurama had said about not letting loved ones go.
"What if I don't want to?" - Mayumi asked with a teasing smile. Naruto simply looked confused. "Yes, now put me down, you big dummy." Naruto set Mayumi down.
Mayumi was looking up into Naruto's when she said, "Goodnight, Naruto." Mayumi also gave Naruto a small peck on the cheek. Much to the blonde surprise, he couldn't fight the blush. "Oh, is something wrong?" - Mayumi said innocently. Naruto simply flashed away to his room still blushing. "What an unpredictable boy." Mayumi simply smiled before heading to bed.
Naruto had also turned in for the night while the two spirits in his head were talking about how cute Naruto and Mayumi would be together. Naruto simply scoffed at the two spirits acting like teenage girls before passing out for the night.
## Uzumaki Compound - 5 A.M. ##
Naruto was sleeping peacefully with the sunrise shining through his window. The light from the sun illuminated his entire room. Naruto could be heard waking up whenever a small amount of bjuu rushed through his system. Naruto shot up immediately. "Damn fox and his stupid chakra." - Naruto muttered as he got out of bed.
Naruto took a quick shower dressing in the same outfit as yesterday. The only difference was that his sword wasn't on his person at the moment. Naruto entered the kitchen to hear someone drops something like a dumbass. "Yo Shisui you better now be wasting our food again, you moron." - Naruto shouted with a yawn as he entered the kitchen. Naruto was going to be surprised whenever he saw what appeared to be a red-haired woman in the kitchen. "What the hell? Who are you?" - Naruto commanded to the women.
"How disrespectful." - the woman said shaking his head. "Is that any way to talk to your grandmother, Kushina?" Naruto's face displayed a calm look but he was wondering what the hell was going on. "You should really talk to me with more respect."
Naruto's face broke the calm look when he saw what appeared to be a teenager with bright red hair walk through him and say, "I'm sorry." - the girl now identified as Kushina Uzumaki said. Naruto's vision soon started to fade back into reality whenever someone hit his back.
"Move you idiot." - Mayumi said with a glare towards the perplexed blonde. "Why are you just standing there like that?"
"What was that? How did it happen? And why was it of Lord Fourth's late wife?" - Naruto wondered with an assortment of thoughts running through his head. Naruto was soon brought back to reality whenever a warm hand grabbed his own. "Wait, what?"
"Naruto, why are you just standing there staring off into space? Is something wrong?" - Mayumi asked the still confused blonde. Naruto looks as if he had seen a ghost or something. His face displayed pure confusion.
"No nothing is wrong." - Naruto mumbled before trying to walk forward. Naruto was stopped when Mayumi's grip on his hand tighten. She sent Naruto a knowing look that froze him. "Umm. How do I explain this? - Naruto thought. "It's nothing honestly."
That's when they heard, "Goodmorning!" Shisui walked into the kitchen as Naruto quickly rematerialized Zangetsu into his mindscape. "Oh you two are up early." - Shisui said with a yawn.
"Yes, we are. Speaking of which I'm going to make breakfast you want any Mayumi?" - Naruto asked wanting to annoy the Uchiha. Shisui just glared at the blonde. "Don't worry Shisui, if they're any leftover scraps you can have them," Naruto smirked towards the angered Uchiha.
"Damn you Naruto. You can be a real pain sometimes." - Shisui said rubbing his eyes.
"Yea, yea, you're still a moron though." - Naruto said still smirking. Shisui just signed before going to his room to change. Naruto started to get out the ingredients for cheese omelets.
Naruto was done cooking after about 30 minutes. Naruto made omelets for everyone including poor Shisui. "Eat up." - Naruto said with a smile as everyone silently started to eat. Everyone ate rather quickly as they all had events to attend to later today.
Naruto and Mayumi both finished around the same time. "It's about time to go Naruto." - Mayumi said towards the rather relaxed-looking blonde. Naruto gained an annoyed expression.
"Fine." - Naruto grumbled. Naruto and Mayumi were about to leave before Naruto asked, "Yo Shisui any tips for facing Kakashi in combat?"
Shisui was caught off guard as Naruto would normally never ask questions on any opponent. "Yea, be wary of his fighting style. He is extremely proficient in taijutsu and ninjutsu. It is said that Kakashi has over a thousand different jutsu at his disposal so be careful. He was made Jonin at the age of ten and an anbu captain at the age of thirteen. So be careful at all costs." - Shisui said rather seriously. The usual carefree and cheerful anbu member was very serious as he had full knowledge of Kakashi's accomplishments. Kakashi's feats were only rivaled by people such as the Yondaime and Itachi Uchiha.
"Thanks." - Naruto said quickly before disappearing with Mayumi.
"Such strange kids." - Shisui mused. "One of these days I'll tell them the complete truth." Shisui just sat there reminiscing about the time he had spent with Itachi and Sasuke Uchiha. Shisui then realized he was left to clean up all of the dishes from breakfast. Shisui was slightly annoyed but just laughed it off.
## Training Ground 7 - 10:30 A.M. ##
Both Sasuke and Sakura were sitting against a tree extremely bored and hungry. The sun felt like it was superheating the air. Everyone had become used to the glare from the sun. Naruto was currently sitting in a meditative position doing what is known as image training. Image training is mentally producing an artificial fight in one's own mind. Mayumi was simply working on fuinjutsu.
Naruto was imagining fighting against Kakashi with his very little knowledge of the man. All Naruto knew was that Kakashi was at near the top of every category of a shinobi. Kakashi's ninjutsu could be considered legendary as he was a man with over a thousand jutsu. His taijutsu could only be bested by the likes of Might Guy. Kakashi's genjutsu was unknown but was most likely high due to his possession of a Sharingan.
Naruto's eyes snapped open as he heard someone walking up the field. Naruto simply stood up reattaching his cloak around his neck and fastening his sword on his back. Kakashi could be seen walking up the hill yawning as if he had just woken up. "You're late!" - Naruto shouted out towards the man in an annoyed tone.
Kakashi looked towards the annoyed-looking team 7 and just eye smiled. "Oh well, I do have a good reason for that." - Kakashi said with all the members of team 7's eyes twitching. "You see I came across a black cat and had to take a long way around."
Everyone except for Naruto just deadpanned at hearing this. Naruto, however, was having none of this shit. "Oh a black cat, you say? Shouldn't it be more like a white cat?" - Naruto said in an annoyed tone. "Because from what it looks like. It seems that you're tired indicating that you just woke up, but that isn't possible considering there was a meeting for all Jonin sensei about an at 6 A.M." Kakashi's eye twitched at where this was going and was about to say something but Naruto continued. "And who has Kakashi been seen with quite a bit? That would be Anko Mitarashi, so what it seems like is that it was more like Anko's cat." Naruto just smirked at the blush that formed across Kakashi's face.
"You damn brat." - Kakashi muttered. "One of these days, I'm going to get you back." Kakashi's just looked at the now laughing team 7 with narrowed eyes. Even Sasuke was laughing. Quite the shocker with how Sasuke was always brooding. Naruto just smirked at the annoyed man.
"Enough of that. I'm going to test you today." - Kakashi said holding up three bells. "Your guy's goal is to each get a bell. Only three of you can pass this test. The one who does not will get sent back to the academy for reevaluation by another Jonin. Understand?" Everyone nodded their heads. "One thing I should mention. Specifically to Sakura. If you pass or not does not ultimately matter as you are training to be a combat medic and not a shinobi on the front lines. So you're sort of a special case."
"You will have two hours to try and secure a bell and if you fail you will be sent back." - Kakashi said emotionlessly. "Once this timer rings we will eat lunch and then we will resume for the next hour." Everyone nodded and got prepared. "Begin!"
Each student disappeared into the trees. Sakura was poorly hidden amongst the very first trees. Sasuke was decently hidden amongst the higher parts of the trees. Naruto and Mayumi were nowhere to be found or seen. "Impressive. Those two managed to completely escape my senses. How well will that hold up though?" - Kakashi thought. Kakashi was about to be surprised though.
Naruto and Mayumi were being masked by a type of seal that hides the user and their chakra. Naruto and Mayumi were talking about their plan of attack. "Okay Mayumi, I've been working on something that should let me keep him distracted for long enough for you to run and grab the bells." - Naruto said. "Once I give you the signal go ahead and go for it okay?" Mayumi merely nodded her head in agreement.
Naruto and Mayumi both deactivated their privacy seals and both crept towards their sensei. They arrived to see both Sasuke and Sakura being defeated without difficulty by Kakashi.
Sasuke had jumped out of the trees to face Kakashi and secure his bell. Sakura seeing this immediately followed in pursuit. "Are you sure it's wise to face me alone?" - Kakashi said with his nose buried deep into his book of porn. Sasuke merely smirked before rushing forwards to engage in a taijutsu bout with Kakashi. "
Sasuke rushed forward trying to throw a high sweeping kick to Kakashi's stomach. Kakashi blocked the kick with relative ease. Sasuke contorted his body so he could throw a punch towards Kakashi. Kakashi simply dodged the punch effortlessly and gave Sasuke an open palm strike to the chest. Sasuke was sent tumbling backward.
"Damn it!" - Sasuke thought as he did the hand signs for the fireball jutsu. "Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu(Great Fireball Technique)!" - Sasuke shouted out as he kneaded his chakra into the fire element and spat it out towards Kakashi.
"A genin should not have enough chakra for elemental jutsu!" - Kakashi thought with shock as he dodged the jutsu being forced to look up from his book for once. "Sasuke you're all too reckless." - Kakashi said as he appeared next to Sasuke within an instant and delivered a strike to the genin's chest. Sasuke skidded backward from this.
Sakura was about to go and attack Kakashi whenever she saw a blonde appear in front of Kakashi. "Oh, so now the blonde wants a go. Just great can't ever just read in peace." - Kakashi said as Naruto got into his stance. This stance was distant yet familiar to Kakashi, he just couldn't put his finger on who it had belonged to.
Much to everyone's surprise, Naruto appeared in front of Kakashi within an instant giving the man little time to block the sharp jab headed straight for the man's gut. Kakashi barely managed to block the punch and was quite surprised at the amount of power that it had packed. "How did he manage to do that? That level of speed was easily high chunnin level!" - Kakashi thought as a kick rocketed towards his head.
Kakashi blocked the kick and slid backward slightly. "Something wrong Kakashi-sensei?" - Naruto asked before appearing behind the man going for one of the bells. Naruto managed to touch the bells before Kakashi slid out of his grasp.
Naruto quickly jumped backward ripping his sword from the sheath in the process. Naruto through the sword into the air while weaving hand signs. "Raiton: Raitoningu Baruto (Lightning bolt)!" - Naruto said as he caught and1 channeled raiton chakra through his sword and sent out out a large bolt of lightning that headed straight towards Kakashi. Kakashi saw the build-up of lightning chakra and instinctively dodged.
"Oh and I wonder how you know a lightning elemental jutsu." - Kakashi said slightly surprised but not showing it. "I know that you have more than enough chakra to but you still shouldn't be able to use any elemental release.
"You would marvel at the sheer size of the Uzumaki clan library." - Naruto said with a smirk as he channeled more lightning chakra in the sword. Naruto rushed towards Kakashi going for a slash only to be blocked by a kunai. Naruto simply scoffed before jumping back. "I guess I really should take this up a notch if I wanted to stand a chance. Shouldn't I?" - Naruto said smirking. Kakashi's face changed.
"You don't mean that you're gonna use that? Right?" - Kakashi hesitantly asked. Naruto merely snorted.
"I'm not an idiot Kakashi-sensei. If I were to use that. Both Sasuke and Sakura would immediately be crushed by the sheer power of it." - Naruto said annoyed that Kakashi would think he would release into Shikai. Hearing this Sasuke simply scoffed. Sakura was just blushing at how "cool" she thought Sasuke sounded.
Naruto quickly jumped back sheathing his sword in the process. Something strange started to happen though. A different sword started to take shape in Naruto's hand. "I'll warn you. You might want to hold onto something." - Naruto said as the sword fully formed. The sword looked like a normal katana. The sword had a red handle and a normal-looking blade. The only distinct feature was the two blue tassels on the end of the handle. There was this murderous aura coming off of the blade though. Naruto simply grinned at the weird yet curious looks he was getting.
"Here it comes." - Naruto said as he completely disappeared from possibly breaking the sound barrier in the process. Naruto appeared behind Kakashi and landed a strong kick to the Jonin's back. Kakashi's expression completely changed from a calm look to one of visible shock.
Sasuke's face only looked completely shocked as he saw Naruto disappeared from everyone's vision. "How the hell?" - Sasuke wondered aloud.
Naruto simply smirked as he sped up moving even faster. "I should warn you though. I can only keep this up for about five minutes before it rips my muscles to shreds." - Naruto said as he met Kakashi in a clash. His sword against a kunai.
Naruto was being pushed back when he completely disappeared from view. "Where the hell?" - Kakashi asked as he felt the air start to shake violently. Naruto was standing behind him holding both swords now. Kakashi saw the murderous look in Naruto's eyes.
Naruto sprinted towards Kakashi's his black and white sword held in a reverse grip. Naruto started to emit this black and white energy as he was charging up the last of his reiatsu. "Hmm, so this is what happens whenever I try to use a foreign reiatsu in tandem with my own." - Naruto said with a frown. "How disappointing, I thought I could do better."
The air soon started to feel beyond heavy as the sky seemed to blacken around Naruto. Naruto was still trying to charge up before he saw a blur coming towards him. "Now! - Naruto shouted as someone landed behind Kakashi. "This is going to hurt like hell, that's for sure." Naruto was finally done charging his reiatsu when his blades started to emit this weird reddish-black energy with strong hints of white in it.
"Let's dance." - Naruto said before disappearing in a shunpo (flash step). Naruto started appearing in many places at once leaving behind afterimages. Kakashi's face showed worry for once. "If only you knew." - Naruto said before appearing right in front of Kakashi. Naruto lifted one blade into the air, the blade glowing with this black and white aura. He then slashed towards Kakashi.
Kakashi barely managed to dodge the slash. The ground where the sword had connected completely broke. The slash had caused a minor tremor. "Such power!" - Kakashi exclaimed in thought. That's when Kakashi felt three sets of arms holding him down.
"It appears that you got the message after all." - Naruto said to a red-headed girl who was restraining Kakashi's arms. Naruto raised an eyebrow at the other two people that were helping restrain the man. "So you managed to convince emo and the useless brat to actually help you?" Both Sasuke and Sakura's eyes twitched but stayed silent. They simply had nothing to say. Naruto had practically single-handedly presented them the opportunity to pass.
Kakashi was simply looking dumbfounded. He would never have expected this at all. "Umm, what is going on?" - Kakashi asked in a shocked voice.
"Exactly what it looks like. We launched a plan to retrieve the bells from you." - Naruto explained as he ripped the bells off of Kakashi. Kakashi was still looking dumbfounded.
A slight breeze began to stir causing Naruto's blonde hair to flow in the wind. "Kakashi we both know that the point of this test was to see if we could all work together." - Naruto said looking Kakashi in the eye with his violet eyes. "The leaf has never relied on the sheer quantity of shinobi, we in the leaf have always preferred quality not quantity. The leaf is considered the strongest of the five elemental villages because of our ability to work together with our comrades. Unlike many other villages, we of the leaf have never relied on outside help such as a jinchuriki." - Naruto said the wind blowing through his spiky blonde hair.
Kakashi was looking towards Naruto with one wide eye. They couldn't really see his other eye as it was covered by his headband. Kakashi just laughed saying, "So much like sensei." Everyone except for Naruto looked at Kakashi with curiosity in their eyes.
Kakashi seeing this looked towards Naruto who was simply staring out into the sky. Almost as if he already knew the answer Kakashi started, "My sensei was Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage. Naruto and he think in a very similar way. Such is the same with Itachi Uchiha." Kakashi tensed a bit when he felt Sasuke's chakra slightly flare at the mention of the name.
Almost everyone was looking in Naruto's direction now. The wind had picked up more and was now blowing Naruto's cloak to the side revealing two swords. Both the swords held great sentimental value to Naruto. The first sword was Naruto's black and white katana. The second sword, however, was unique. It was his mother's. The sheath had the symbols for Kushina Uzumaki imprinted on the sheath. Everyone's eyes widened at seeing the name on the sheath.
Both Sasuke and Sakura were gaping at the name on the sheath. "Why did Naruto have that sword? It should have gone to the only living relative of Kushina..." - Sasuke thought. "Wait no that's not possible. Naruto couldn't be the son of the Yondaime."
Naruto turned around to see everyone staring at him. More specifically they were staring at one of his swords. "Oh, shit!" - Naruto thought frantically. Naruto was panicking. His secret couldn't be let out so soon. Naruto calmed himself and steeled his resolve. "I see that you're staring at one of my swords. May I ask why?"
"Th-that name o-on the sh-sheath." - Sakura said shakily. Sakura pointed towards the heat and the name engraved into it.
"Oh!" - Naruto said with surprise. "So that's what it is. I have Kushina Uzumaki's sword as it is passed down fro o one Uzumaki to another when the predecessor dies. I received the sword because I was the only Uzumaki in the village at the time." - Naruto lied smoothly.
"Well done, Naruto. It would be disastrous if it got out that you're the son of Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki." - Kakashi silently thought. Kakashi and Naruto both internally signed when Sakura's face went back to normal instead of that really curious look.
Everyone just stood there in silence for quite a bit of time before the silence was broken. "Okay brats." - Kakashi said getting everyone's attention. "We'll meet here tomorrow at 8 A.M. We start missions then." With that being said Kakashi disappeared in a leaf shunshin.
Naruto just shrugged before he and Mayumi disappeared in a shunshin. Poor Sasuke was stuck there dealing with an annoying pink bitch. "Damn you, Naruto!" - Sasuke screamed in thought.
