It was now 10:30pm, 30 minutes before you and Oikawa had to leave. Following along with your everyday makeup routine, you started by filling in your brows then concealing. Oikawa got ready a lot quicker than you so he just sat beside you, eyes glued to your face. He never realises it but whenever he looks at you he can't avoid his dreamy gaze that comes along it with it.

While waving your fake eyelashes in the air to allow the glue to become tacky and holding a hand mirror in the other, it was only when you caught his stare. 'You're staring at me a lil longer today, something wrong?' You looked at him with furrowed brows before seeing his charming glare. An unintentional beam appeared on your lips which exposed most of your teeth.

'Oh it's nothing, just keep doing what you're doing.' Oikawa let out a hearty laugh before returning back to his wonderstruck stare. 'Princess, you don't know how lucky I am to have met you.'

'Don't go saying those words to me before we gotta leave, it could lead to dangerous things.' You jokingly winked at him while smiling widely. It didn't take you long into the relationship to realise how little it would take for such scandalous activities. Especially with the infamous Tooru Oikawa. 'Now c'mon what should I wear?'

'If I dressed you I don't know if I'd be able to keep my hands off you.' Oikawa quickly stretched his arms above his head before spreading the entirety of his body on the bed you were both on.

'What I've worn before hasn't stopped you before though.' You covered your mouth trying to suppress your laughter which wasn't working in the slightest.

'Fair enough.' Oikawa's face was sweet and innocent but quickly turned sour. ' Just don't wear something too attracting. This race is gonna be crawling with men and I'll be damned if any one of them tries anything on my baby.' Oikawa looked slightly frustrated, probably having someone in mind.

'Noted.'

You scurried over to your joint closet with Oikawa opening the white wooden doors revealing the heaps of clothing thrown carelessly on the floor. While thinking of something to wear, you took a quick glance at what Oikawa was wearing for inspiration. Oikawa was wearing an oversized white turtleneck tucked into some loosely fitted back trousers paired with white airforces. He accessorised with silver chunky rings and a thin silver chain around his neck. Wanting to somewhat match his vibe, you pulled out your black, high waisted mom jeans, a large cream jumper and your 'oatmeal' jordan lows. You accessorised with your gold cartier love ring and it's matching bracelet alongside small gold hoop earrings. Oikawa was mindlessly scrolling on his phone when you tapped him on the shoulder signaling you were done getting ready.

Oikawa whipped his head around looking you up and down 'DAMN BABY! If we weren't going to a race right now God knows what we would've been doing.' You rolled your eyes at his statement with a large grin on your lips.

While Oikawa grabbed the keys to his Zenvo ST1, you grabbed the keys to your Audi R8 and your phone. The both of you walked out the door and waited for the loud click that meant it had automatically locked. Oikawa slung his left arm around your shoulder while looping his car keys in the other as you walked down the dimly lit hallway that led to the elevator. Now arriving at the elevator that would bring you to the ground floor, Oikawa gave you little pointers and what to expect at the race.

'Stay close beside me when I'm not racing. When I am though don't worry, I have someone you can be with.' Oikawa seemed content but deep down he was probably shitting himself. You can always tell because his voice was overly steady. Either that or he truly was calm and had no worries. 'Oh and one more thing, I can't wait for you to meet Iwaizumi! Quite proud to call that lil fucker my best friend but hey, I wouldn't change it for the world.' You looked at Oikawa as his entire face and energy changed as a result of talking about his best friend who you're sure he loves a lot. He always has been the one to cherish his friends and family greatly after all.

'Although he is quite shy when meeting new people but don't worry, he'll warm up to you, he always does.'

Silence was all that was between you from the time you stepped inside the elevator from the time you stepped out of it however not once did it get awkward. You both walked out of the apartment complexes' doors immediately feeling the night breeze. It was 10:45 and the drive to the racetrack in the Miyagi Prefecture was a 10 minute drive. Both yours and Oikawa's cars were parked side by side making it easy to locate. Oikawa has a white Zenvo ST1 with two teal stripes placed right in the middle and a white and black interior. You knew that Oikawa's car was more on the pricey side however you never questioned it. You on the other hand, had a customized Audi R8 with a matte black wrap job, an all black interior and black rims. You took great pride in your car as you knew it would make your parents proud.

As you both headed towards your vehicles you gave him one him one last look before stepping in the driver's seat of your car. You stepped in, readjusted your rear view mirror and pressed the ignition button. The car rumbled beneath you, a dearly missed feeling. Oikawa rolled down his window staring daggers at you trying to get your attention. When he did a couple seconds later, you rolled yours down too, a curious look on your face.

'You still up for that race?' Oikawa mildly shouted despite only being metres apart.

'Mhm, just don't use your nitrous oxide. Wouldn't want it to be an unfair race right?' You both reversed out of your parking space and lined yourselves beside each other revving your engines.

The layout of the outside of the apartment complex Oikawa resided in was simple. It's a line of four apartment complexes with a long road in front of them connecting to the exit. Oikawa lives in the last of the four complexes. This means that there's a straight road in front of you which you can use to your advantage and gain speed in. With yours and his windows still rolled down, you both counted from 3 down to 1. As you both uttered '1' you commenced further down the street. Oikawa was an inch in front of you for only a second as you powered forward, pressing harder on the accelerator. Nearing the end of the exit, you slowed down looking left and right making sure no passing cars were present. When that was confirmed you swiftly turned right, tyres screeching on the asphalt. He had already sent you the address of the race track so you had no problems with actually locating your destination. You had only a little bit of length in front of him and you could see the visible playful frustration displayed on your rear view mirror as he was right behind you. Now entering the highway, you pressed on the clutch shifting to fourth gear and pressed harder on the accelerator yet again. The speedometer now reading 120km/h. Oikawa had disappeared from behind you so you assumed you lost him. You stayed at a speedy pace making sure not to dip in the rare scenario that Oikawa overtook you.

Now arriving at the parking lot of the race track which was booming with all types of rap music, you went on the search for Oikawa's car but then realised this is the parking lot for non participants, hence why it's the one in plain sight. You silently facepalmed and headed into the venue where you would try to find the track then eventually search for Oikawa. The venue had black carpeting with white walls lit up with neon signs and the help of the lighting of the many vending machines lined up. You could see a short figure insert coins into a vending machine, slouching slightly. You assumed he was a man despite only his back facing you. He was wearing a dark red tracksuit with a white t-shirt underneath the open cardigan paired with chunky white shoes. His black and dyed blonde hair was pulled up into a half up man bun which suited him nicely. He was glued to his phone, not taking his eyes off of it even when his drink dropped in the pit of the vending machine. The front desk was obviously empty, due to the track being rented for a couple hours so you had no choice but to ask the mystery figure where the race track was.

You approached the figure, trying to be as quiet as you could. 'Uh hey, do you know where the racetrack is?' Your voice was quiet but you knew it was loud enough that he could hear you.

He whipped his head around slowly with a bland expression on his face. 'Yeah. I'm going there now so you can just follow me.' He said as he leant down to pick up a redbull from the opening of the vending machine not breaking eye contact. His voice was smooth with little to no expression however at no time did he sound 'uninterested' like how most people would sound. 'My name is Kenma Kozume, you must be y/n.'

'Ah yes, how did you know?' you laughed awkwardly, a little pulled back at his awareness of you.

'Your boyfriend Oikawa just arrived a couple minutes ago and he hasn't shut up about you ever since so I hopped away to get a drink.' Kenma had a slight smile on his face making you feel very comfortable around him.

'Oh.' You laughed as it was a very typical thing for Oikawa to do.

As you both walked to the entrance of the racetrack, you fiddled with your car keys because new people and new scenes always make you on edge for some reason. Upon entering, more loud rap music was booming through multiple car stereos making your head start to slightly pound. The racetrack was pretty average in terms of layout. You had your typical prolonged oval shaped track with barriers around the side that separated the road from the bleachers. However before all that there's a special cut off segment of concrete where the participants' cars stayed -also where all of the participants were along with their teammates and plus ones. You immediately spotted Oikawa surrounded by a group of unfamiliar faces. Oikawa and 4 other men were in a semicircle with all of their cars turned on with the hoods up. You assumed they were making last minute fixes to their car to assure a 100% performance. Despite not being very educated in this scene it was no lie that you could identify most cars and it's model due to cars being your only entertainment as a child before your parents died. Just looking around you could spot many American imported cars which you knew were very expensive as your car is also American imported. I wonder what these people do for a living you thought to yourself because you knew racing couldn't possibly rack up that much money, right? When you and Kenma arrived at the group of people including Oikawa, you looked at him, arms crossed with a playful smirk.

'Just because I gave you the address did not mean I also gave you the shortcuts.' You had already expected him to beat you here. With the amount of times he's been here, he's bound to have figured out shortcuts. What can you say, he is the King of efficiency. 'Although if I did take the main route you probably would have beaten me.'

'Tooru admitting defeat? Y/n you really did a number on him.' You turned around to see who was talking and was greeted with a man with spiky grey and black hair. 'Nice to meet you I'm Kotaro Bokuto but just call me Bokuto.' Bokuto was leaning on the side of a grey Ford GT with a sleek black interior as he crossed his arms looking directly at you.

'Nice to meet you Bokuto, My name is y/n but I'm assuming you already know that.' You held your hand out and his eyes weirdly widened at your small gesture but he obliged out of politeness.

One very noticeable thing about Bokuto is not his unique hairstyle but his face tattoo. He had 111 tattooed underneath his left eyebrow near the start of his eye. You really liked the meaning of it as 111 meant independence and new beginnings. You could already tell you were very much alike Bokuto.

'Mhmm, we all do in fact.' Bokuto ran his finger through his hair and grinned widely at you. 'C'mon guys, introduce yourself.'

'Oh hey, my name is Kuroo, I'm in the Nekoma team with Kenma whom I presume you've already met by the looks of it.' Kuroo was sitting in the driver's seat with the door opened as he pointed his thumb towards Kenma who was beside him still very much invested in whatever was on his phone. Kuroo had a chill vibe to him just basing it off of the way he talked. His voice was rich and clear with no real input of effort. Kuroo was wearing black ripped jeans coupled with a wine coloured hoodie written 'Nekoma' on the chest area. Kuroo's distinctive black spiky hair was similar yet very different to Bokuto's hair although it was different and you liked that. Kuroo was sitting in his dark red, matte Subaru BRX with black rims, rumbling lowly as he talked. He pulled out a vape from his front pocket, taking a large hit before exhaling, the air surrounding you immediately smelling like bubblegum.

'And this is Iwaizumi but I call him Iwa for short, the one I was talking to you about.' Oikawa faced you while he put his right hand on Iwa's shoulder, patting it softly.

'Yeah, I'm Iwa,' Iwaizumi looked down while rubbing the back of his neck, most likely out of nervousness. Iwaizumi patted down the front and back pockets of his jeans before finding a pack of cigarettes and lighter in the front of his dusty blue coloured cardigan. 'Sorry, I gotta go somewhere real quick.' He excused himself with the wave of his hand before walking away and placing a cigarette between his lips and lighting it. The guy beside him sensed the awkward situation so he chimed in while raising his hand to grab your attention.

'Hiya, I'm Kita. I'm team leader of the Inarizaki team, apologies in advance if any one of them causes you trouble.' Kita seemed shy but you could tell he is fun to be with. Kita had a grey triple bang haircut with the very ends dyed black. He was wearing a black jumper with grey sweatpants and black Nike 97's. One feature that popped out on Kita was the fact that he had a large intricate rose tattoo placed on the left side of his neck, placed right on his carotid artery. Kita was perched on top of the hood of his light grey, chrome finished, 2020 Shelby gt500 as he smiled innocently at you.

Suddenly, you felt two large arms wrap above your shoulders from behind you, clasping at the front. You could recognize the cologne on the person to be 'Paco Rabanne 1 million' and at that you knew it was no other than your brother, Tobio Kageyama.

'KAGEYAMA!' You turned to face him breaking the hold he had on you. He cocked his left eyebrow at you while he ruffled the crown of your hair.

'If you weren't so popular with the boys you would've seen me earlier, like literally. I was right beside you guys with the rest of Karasuno.' Kageyama's whole face turned up into a massive grin as he stared down at you.

'Oh my bad.' Your cheeks balled up massively as you smiled uncontrollably due to it being the first time you seeing Kageyama in ages. 'WAIT. WHERE IS SIA.'

Kageyama moved out the way and pointed to Zosia who was standing a couple metres behind him talking to Tanaka and Nishonoya. You ran up to her hugging her tightly and no words needed to be exchanged for her to know who it was.

'Y/n oh my gosh! I didn't think you'd be here. God we have so much to talk about!' Zosia pulled away from the hug with her eyebrows raised grinning at you widely. Zosia had medium length brown, wavy hair and pale skin. She was the complete opposite of you in terms of fashion however that was all. In terms of hobbies and interests you were basically the same person. Zosia was wearing blue mom jeans, a white long sleeve button up with a short sleeved cream sweater layered over it and white Adidas Ozweegos -her go to white shoes.

'Oh hey y/n.' Tanaka said whilst sitting on his car; a 2020 black Chevrolet Camaro with orange fiery accents around the whole body and black rims. At the same time, both him and Nishsinoya who was beside him waved simultaneously.

'Hey Tanaka, hi Nishinoya.' Nishinoya's face scrunched up into a sweet smile but before you could stir up a conversation, a car approached from behind you flashing it's bright headlights to make itself known. When you turned round, you recognized the car to be your brother's 2020 McLaren P1. You had similar taste to your brother as his car was a complete black exterior with a black and red interior. The driver of the car parked right behind you, leaving little space between you and the car. To your surprise, Tsukishima stepped out of the drivers side and Yamaguchi out of the passenger's. Kageyama jogged up to Tsuki with the jingling of his house keys in the right pocket of his black joggers.

Kageyama greeted Tsuki with a manly handshake, pulling him in to pat him on his back. 'Thanks for installing the nitrous oxide so last minute. I appreciate it.'

'Just don't lose, idiot.' Tsuki scoffed while turning over to Yamaguchi who was already walking around the front of the car to stand beside him.

The speakers attached to the overhead lamp posts boomed with feedback throughout the whole track before announcing that the first race will start. 'The first race will now be starting. Can I please have Yuji Terushima, Kazuma Bobata, Takanobu Aone, Kanji Koganegawa, Chikara Ennoshita and Lev Haiba move to the line up.'

Tsukishima, Yamaguchi left at the announcement along with Tanaka and Nishinoya, surely going to watch Ennoshita in the first race. Before you and Oikawa left for the race track, he told you that the races and its participants go in order from good to best. Hence why Kageyama and Oikawa are in the second and third race. Although Kageyama is at the top right now, it's only been for a short amount of time which explains him being in the second and not third yet -which involves the powerful for the longest time.

Kageyama turned to look at you who was still facing Zosia while looking back at him. 'I gotta race after this one so do you mind buying me some onigiri? I'll give you the money and you can go with Zosia if you want but right now I'm gonna make some last minute check ups with Oikawa and Kenma.'

'Yeah sure.' You thought it was nice that underneath the competitive racing scene, that there were genuine friendships with most of the competitive races.

Kageyama handed you two 1000 yen notes and pointed to a corner of the large segment of concrete which was filled with another team dressed in mainly black. In the midst of all the tall figures, smoke vapour and booming music, there was a small onigiri stand with a man in a black apron and cap with grey hair. You thought it was a nice touch to the mysterious section that you would soon be heading over to. Turning back over to Zosia, you tapped her on the shoulder asking if she wanted to go buy some onigiri. She obliged and waved goodbye to Tanaka and Nishinoya.

'Wait, before we go do you want some?' You turned back around and asked Tanaka and Nishinoya who were pushing each other around in extreme laughing fits. Tanaka was holding his stomach from the pain of his laughter before looking up at you giggling mildly.

'Oo, if you don't mind y/n! Nishinoya will pay you back!' Tanaka said while bearing a cheesy smile at Nishinoya who looked through his eyebrows annoyed.

Laughing at the two, you waved both hands in the air with money still in your grasp. 'Nah it's on Kageyama.'

They both elongated their cheeks and shrugged their shoulders not protesting at your statement. Content with everything, they went back to their banter. Out of all the men in Karasuno aside from Kageyama, Tanaka and Nishinoya were the only people you truly felt secure around. The fact that they could enlighten any gloomy situation was comforting at very much needed times. Heading in the direction of the onigiri stand, you slung your arm over Zosia's shoulder just happy to be in her presence. It had been quite some time since you saw each other last so this was a refreshing moment for you. At the end of the line leading to the purchasing stage of the onigiri, you and Zosia were just catching up before her phone rang in her bag.

'Oh shit, y/n I gotta take this.' Zosia fiddled around with her phone in hand as it buzzed her skin.

'No worries. By the time you'll be finished with your call I'll have already bought the onigiri so just meet me back with Kageyama.'

Not even a second later, a whiff of strawberry and tobacco penetrated your nose causing you to scrunch your face in disgust with the mix of the two scents. Instinctively, you pulled your phone out and mindlessly started to scroll through your Instagram feed.

Footsteps could be heard trotting from behind you making your heart beat increase. Being in a foreign scene with foreign people tends to do that.

'What's a beautiful girl like you doing here, hm?'

You just assumed whoever was talking, wasn't directing conversation to you. Your assumption was completely off when you heard the person clearing their throat, now moving to stand in front of you. The feeling of the figures gaze burning at the top of your head made you tense up.

The fact that some people have the nerve to talk to you even after you ignored them baffles you. Especially if it's ignorant men. You were brought up by your parents to never succumb to anyone's presence nevermind a man and now was the perfect time to show what they taught you.

'She's with her boyfriend thank you very much.' Not even wanting to give the man the attention he so desperately craved, your eyes stayed glued onto your phone scrolling as your heart palpitated in your chest. Shockingly, you felt a hand grasp onto your chin forcing you to look up to whomever was talking to you.

The rather bold man stood over your figure whilst rubbing small circles with his thumb over your chin. He had slender, fox-like eyes which you found extremely intimidating. His hair was similar to Oikawa's in a way considering they had the same long-ish, brown, fluffy locks. He was wearing black cargo pants coupled with an oversized graphic black tee and dark mocha Jordan 1 mids. His style was similar to yours and that was the only thing going for him so far.

'Get your fucking hands off me.' You said with an eerily calm tone as you found it worked better than with a strong tone in wanting to belittle whoever was talking to you. As you took a grasp of the man's wrist while at the same time digging your nails into his skin, you looked him dead in the eye, forcefully pushing his hand off you. It was too late at night for you to be putting up with this type of bullshit.

He cockily put his hand above his eyebrows with his palm down as if looking for the said boyfriend. You hated attitudes that had the 'I think I'm better than everyone' type of mindset and that was definitely the one the man in front of you had. Sometimes that type of mentality is good for your wellbeing every once in a while to an extent however making it a whole attitude agitated you.

'I don't have to prove anything to you. I told you I have a boyfriend so please respect that and leave me alone.' Usually by now you would've ran to find Oikawa but you know better than to run to someone else for help. You have and always will be an independent woman especially in situations like this.

You noticed that there was nobody in front of you when you looked behind him so you just pushed ahead, ignoring each snide comment he made.

'Hi. Can I get 8 onigiri please?' Even though you thought you were talking to nobody given that the man at the stall had his back turned to you, you just needed something to fill the awkward silence. Not even 2 seconds had passed before you heard him dragging his feet close behind you.

As you turned around to face him you'd already lost your temper, only mildly however. 'Do you ever give up?!' Your voice showcased a lot more anger and frustration than 5 minutes ago.

'Relax, just relax. Would it be better if I introduced myself?' You just stayed silent like you have been when you found it necessary of course.

'I'll take that as a yes then. My name is Suna Rintarou and yours is?' He placed his hands on both your shoulders, massaging them tenderly making you feel extremely uncomfortable. You tried to move away however with each movement you made, he followed. Just as he put his hands on you for the second time, you could hear another voice behind you except this one was different, it was Oikawa's.

'What the fuck are you doing?' During the time Oikawa was walking towards the two of you he seemed content, not at all bothered by this man's actions however as soon as got within arms length did things change.

'WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HUH?' Oikawa pushed the Suna on his shoulders causing him to release the grip he had on you. You've never seen Oikawa this furious before even when he would get road rage. If you truly thought his road rage was bad then you are badly mistaken.

Another figure came in behind the man with dyed blond hair. He pulled back Suna whilst waving his hand in the air with a confused look on his face.

'WOAH WHAT'S GOING ON HERE! Tooru you know what happened last time.' The man said although you were confused as to what he meant. Most of the men behind Suna were either smoking, sitting on top of their cars or both or completely oblivious to the commotion happening in front of them.

'Suna was fucking with my girl, what you want me to do?' Oikawa threw his arms over your shoulder pulling you closer to him, clearly stating you were his. Seeing Oikawa get so protective of you was such a nerve-racking yet refreshing sight. Nerve-racking because he is one to easily lose his temper but refreshing because it showed how much he truly cared for you.

'Suna you know I can't keep defending you if you keep flirting with other peoples Mrs.' A man with blonde hair said as he looked disappointed in Suna. The fact that Suna repeatedly harassed you didn't bother you that much as opposed to the fact that he's done this multiple times judging off the choice of words of the other man.

'Look I'm sorry. That was childish of me to pester you even when you told me to leave you alone. That's a mistake on my end.' Suna genuinely looked sorry but that doesn't automatically mean you're gonna go how you would be if he hadn't talked to you how he did. Maybe there was another motive in him and he just went about the wrong way but it still doesn't justify his actions. I'm sure if you had another interaction that it would be a lot better than the first one.

'Pst. Here take these and don't worry, you don't gotta pay.' The man beside you controlling the onigiri stand beared an apologetic smile whilst handing you a bag of 8 individually wrapped onigiri and two water bottles. You couldn't help but feel this action being rooted from pity but nevertheless, you smiled at the kind gesture and took the food and water in your hand.

'Thank you so much!' As you turned back around to Oikawa who was staring shamefully at Suna, you looked up to him speaking softly assuring you were okay.

'Come on baby, I'm fine however my stomach isn't. Like for real I am starving.' Oikawa looked down at you as his entire face twisted into a charming smile which filled you with serenity. His previous shameful and distasteful stare soon dissipated as he looked at you as if you were the undoing. The both of you turned around in one swift motion and walked with his hand still over your shoulder. The gaze of a million pairs of eyes could be felt burning at the back of your head and you assumed Oikawa could feel the same as he started to get a tad more touchy, not that you minded.

When you approached Kageyama and the group earlier, your eyes instantly shifted to Kita who was walking towards you with a somber look on his features. Oikawa kissed you softly on the forehead before informing you that he was gonna go do more check ups. You handed him 3 rice balls and a bottle of water before he left.

'I know I already apologised if any one of my teammates caused you trouble but I didn't actually think that it would happen.' The fact that Kita apologised for actions that didn't involve him showed you how good of a leader and person he really was.

'Oh no it's fine really, although Suna may have acted a little bit out of line, it's not needed that you apologise to me, plus he already said sorry so it's all good.' Honestly, you were fine and minor incidents like that don't get you and you were proud of how you handled it so there's that.

'Here,' you opened up the paper bag in your hand and handed him one of the onigiri inside feeling the condensation on the plastic wrapping as you did so. 'I ordered extras just in case and if you want more just ask me. Oh also the guy working the stall gave this to me for free and I was just wondering what his name was.'

'Oh him? That's Osamu Miya and he has a twin brother, Atsumu Miya who has blond blonde hair.'

'Hm, interesting.' The cold air was getting to you despite the thickness and cosiness of your jumper. As the night continued, the rowdier the crowd got.

You looked over to Suna once more as him and his group were directly across from you with a separation of 10 metres. You could see them clearly however hearing them was a different story. With the deafening sound of the music alongside the blended chatter, you couldn't hear anyone nevermind someone 10 metres away from you.

'Damn Suna, you really did that, you pissed off the Great King. Good luck man, you're the one racing him.' Atsumu teased Suna as he looked off into the distance, releasing the thick vapour in his mouth from his nose.

'Look, I thought she was cute and I clearly went about the wrong way. I'm fucked aren't I?' Suna turned back to look at Atsumu who was lighting a cigarette between his lips.

'If you're referring to the race you have in an hour or so then yes. Oikawa hasn't lost to anybody since the race to Kageyama a couple weeks ago. And since Kageyama is in the third race tonight and Kageyama being in the second then there's nobody standing in front of the Great King.

'I wasn't meaning the race but thanks.' Suna stood up to grab a water bottle from the onigiri stand, chugging the whole bottle within seconds.

Feeling the heavy gaze of someone, you turned around, surprised to see Tanaka and Nishinoya who were standing behind you. Tanaka awkwardly fiddled with spare change in his pocket whilst Nishonoya was looking down at his shoes.

'Oh I almost forgot, here's your onigiri you two.' You took three more onigiri out of the bag, one for Tanaka, one for Nishinoya and one for you. By the time you had eaten your onigiri, Zosia was finished with her phone call.

'Hey guys, did I miss anything?' Zosia headed over to you while softly patting your back. You knew that if you had told her the events of 5 minutes ago that she wouldn't take it lightly. She's always been super protective of you since you could remember, after all she was 3 years older than you.

'Nope however Tanaka and Kageyama should be racing soon because the first race should be reaching the end. We should start heading to the bleachers now.' You took out your phone, the time now 12:30. Awakened by the sudden touch of fingertips around your shoulders, you warily turned around only to be greeted by no other than Oikawa.

'Don't worry it's just me, oh and we really should be heading to the bleachers now if you wanna get a good view. Come, follow me.' Oikawa took your hand in his, wrapping his elongated fingers around your palm with a gentle touch. As you waved in and out of people urging to get to their seats, Oikawa would look behind you every so often to make sure you were okay. Even though most people would see that act as 'human decency', it's nice to cherish, even the little things. Arriving at the bleachers, Oikawa sat you down on one of the benches facing the starting line directly. Herds of individuals came rushing in through the entrance of the bleachers. By the time the participants' names were announced on the overhead speakers, the cut off segment that was once bustling with people, was now a ghost town.

Lined up on the track were 6 people, Kageyama and Tanaka included.

'The farthest away from you is Akaashi, he's in the same team as Bokuto in Fukurodani. He's good but he specializes in repair work but he's a fairly rated racer. He should be the only one you shouldn't know on the line up assuming Kita told you about Atsumu and Osamu.' Oikawa pointed out to the very end of the lined up racers at a white Camaro SS. The windows of the car were heavily tinted like most of the cars here so you couldn't see much other than faint shadows.

After Akaashi was Iwaizumi who was stepping into his car before checking everything was good. Iwaizumi stepped into a dark blue Subaru Impreza WRX which was shining brightly directly underneath the light. Iwaizumi's windows weren't nearly as dark as Akaashi's so you could see the nervousness in him as he tapped his steering wheel uncontrollably.

Followed by Iwaizumi was Atsumu Miya who was leaning on a burnt yellow Mustang bullitt with his arms crossed facing the hectic crowd. You noticed his hair somewhat matched the colour of his car which you thought was a nice detail. Coming out from the crack of his lips was a thick white smoke that soon disappeared as it blended with the outside air. He quickly looked out into the crowd winking at someone before stepping into the driver's seat.

You noticed Zosia to be in the passenger's seat of Kageyama's car which was after Atsumu's car. You wondered if it was a thing to bring your partner on one of the most nerve-racking things they could ever experience but if Zosia didn't mind then neither did you. She was probably used to it considering this may not be her first rodeo. While Zosia looked restful, Kageyama was the opposite. His shoulders were tensed and his eyes were focused on the long road in front of him.

From the corner of your eye you could spot a short, orange haired figure approaching you and Oikawa. When you turned to look at him, he had furrowed eyebrows and a pouty look as he looked at you and Oikawa.

'What's up with you shorty?' Oikawa faced the figure while still keeping his hands on the metal railing with an amused look on his face. You looked between the two as they both exchanged weird faces to ridicule the other.

'First of all I am not even that short, second of all Kageyama said I couldn't ride with him for this race.' He stood beside you before sitting down to look at both you and Oikawa who was standing and looking out at the line up.

The figure stood up quickly to look at you once more who was on his right. 'Who are you?' His face changed from a pout to a genuine smile. 'I'm Hinata Shoyo!'

'Oh I'm y/n, Kageyama's sister.' You fiddled nervously with your fingers still on the metal railing while containing eye contact with Hinata. He pouted his lips slightly while looking at you up and down before shrugging.

'Nice to meet you y/n, I've heard a lot about you!' Not knowing what to say you just smiled and nodded. You found yourself doing that a lot more often especially when talking to new people which was all you've done so far at this race track.

You kept your smile and looked back at the line up to try to name the racers so no confusions would be made later when the race started. After Kageyama was Osamu Miya who was already set to go sat in his dark grey Nissan 35OZ. You picked up on the fact that both the Miya's twins' hair matched the colour of their car. Must be a trademark thing between them you mumbled to yourself.

'What was that?' Oikawa looked at you with his eyebrows raised. Even with the rowdy chatter surrounding you both, he could still hear the faintest amount of noise only if it was coming from you of course.

'Oh I just noticed how the Miya twins' hair matches the colour of their car.' You said as you turned your head back towards the racers. The cars were almost un-seeable due to the smoke from the engine covering each vehicle completely.

'Yeah, that's their trademark thing I guess you could say.' Oikawa also turned his attention to the line up while taking your hand in his, the comforting warmth of his palm making you feel at ease. You glanced back at him who was still staring at the scene in front of him with a large smile on his face.

You noted the fact that Kageyama was sandwiched between the Miya twins so you assumed that couldn't be a good thing for him making yourself aware of their infamous attacks. Regardless, you knew that he could overcome any obstacle they threw at him.

Lastly came Tanaka who was blasting music, oblivious to the competitive aura flowing through the air. The speakers blared with the announcement that the race would be starting soon which overpowered 'Hotline Bling' playing on the stereo of Tanaka's car.

'The race will start in 3..' The ambience of the crowd changed abruptly at the announcement. '...2…' Atsumu revved his engine causing the smoke fumes to cloud the rear end of his car. '...1…' At once each car advanced forward with great speed with no hesitation. The screeches of the tires on the asphalt echoed through the entirety of the race track leaving more dark marks on the road. Sparks and fumes were created at the sudden movement on the road. As expected, Kageyama was ahead of everyone and has been since the race started. Your face turned up into a sincere smile as you looked at the growing distance between him and the racers.

It was nice to see Kageyama doing something that he loved -and was damn good at. Once the racers were out of clear sight, you averted your eyes to the overhead TV screens that displayed the racers situation throughout the track. You could see Kageyama's infamous smirk through the windshield of his car whilst all the racers trailed behind him with Tanaka now by his side.

Unexpectedly, both the Miya twins powered forward, now side by side with Kageyama. As you looked around you knew that couldn't mean well basing it off all the stunned expressions surrounding you. Before you knew it, both the vehicles were closing in distance on Kageyama giving him little space to drive without clashing on their cars. Oikawa's face turned sour seeing as this same attack probably happened to him. Despite the dirty attack of the Miya twins, that same mischievous smirk of Kageyama stayed glued onto his features.

Kageyama came to a full halt, releasing him from the situation. Once the Miya twins had realised this, they both turned back into their lanes to make it clear they weren't targeting Kageyama when they truly were. Kageyama being the cocky person he is, turned up 'For the Night' that was playing on his car radio whilst sticking his hand out his window, feeling the cool breeze. You'd be lying if you said you knew what he was doing but I'm pretty sure most people would be except Oikawa of course. He dropped his head to look down at the floor, letting out a low defeated scoff as if coming to a realisation.

All heads turned at the sight of the Miya twins nearing the end of the finish mark. Whatever Kageyama was doing, you had a strong feeling that he had something in mind that he could rely on. If there was one thing he took seriously, it was most definitely this. While Tanaka was trailing behind the infamous pair with a small distance, there was no way he would make it before they did. Once again Kageyama turned up the music which was now at a deafening level and all you could wonder was if poor Zosia was doing okay.

Without hesitation, Kageyama revved his engine twice strongly; the white smoke releasing from the exhaust of his car. All within a split second, Kageyama fired forward. Multiple heads snapped from left to right, engrossed only on Kageyama's car. The nose of his car lifted at the sudden jolt of the vehicle paired with thunderous screeches due to the contact of his tyres and the asphalt. Loud, crunchy rumbles of the engine ricocheted on the non-existent walls of the track as Kageyama commenced forth with immense speed. You gripped the cold metal of the barriers as the anticipation was eating you alive at the sight of Kageyama catching up to all the participants, rather quickly might you add. Something as little as a blink could cost you not being able to witness him pull alongside Atsumu Miya -the one ahead of the rest. Literal 'zoom' noises could be heard each time he passed a car, probably due to the edge of his car acting as a blade, cutting through the cold air.

In the moment Kageyama was side by side with Atsumu, Kageyama gave an exaggerated wink, peering closely through the heavily tinted windows. You could tell he noticed such a taunt judging by the way tried to overtake Kageyama, not without fail of course. Kageyama thrusted forth once again this time however, a million times faster. Fiery, orange sparks sputtered out of the exhaust which then travelled onto the road, jumping sporadically. The large screen displayed pure satisfaction given it was on Kageyama who had just succeeded at a perfect drift. After the turn it was just a straight road where he could drive freely at a brisk pace. That is until he could see the megalomaniac look plastered on Atsumu's face in the reflection of his side mirror as he lagged beside him. Kageyama simply powered forth once again, passing the finish mark. The former serious, suspenseful atmosphere took a 360° thanks to Kageyama's win as everyone stood up whooping lively. Followed by Kageyama was Atsumu, Osamu, Tanaka and then finally Akaashi and Iwaizumi who tied in at last place.

Like a herd of sheep, groups of individuals went down to greet the racers who were hopping out of their cars to do the same. The competitive aura that was wavering through the air seconds ago dissolved as each racer gave their respect to one another.

'Well damnnn Tobio' Atsumu pushed Kageyama on the shoulder slightly while letting out a soft laugh. Osamu stood behind him, listening closely to their conversation with a blank expression. From time to time he'd grunt or chuckle but no words were actually spoken from him. 'Hey look, watch out next time cuz I'm for sure beating yo ass.' Atsumu pulled out his vape from within his pocket taking in a lengthy hit. He turned away from both Kageyama and Osaumu to blow the vapour from the corner of his mouth.

'We'll see about that then.' Kageyama raised his brow at Atsumu before turning to face Zosia who was standing behind him holding out a milk carton for him.

'Oh thanks baby. Also we gotta head out soon, The great king should be racing soon.' Kageyama turned back to Atsumu, pushing him lightly while laughing.

Oikawa caught your attention by laying his hand atop yours that was still placed on the metal of the barrier. 'Come on, it's gonna be our time soon.' Without waiting for your response, he grasped your hand pulling you down the stairs which led to the participants area where his car was.

'The fuck you mean our?!' Although you were looking at the back of his head, you still threw him a confused face. You knew exactly what he meant but no way were you gonna sit in a car going over 200km/hr. Despite the fact that you would've normally obliged you just weren't feeling it today. However knowing Oikawa, he's gonna get you to comply one way or another. 'Didn't you say there was someone I was gonna be with while you were racing?'

'Yes I did, but guess who I was referring to?' Silently, you put the pieces together and once you did, you had realised that he was talking about himself the entire time. Typical Tooru move. You could hear Oikawa laugh from in front of you whilst still drawing you towards his car. You stopped in your tracks only for Oikawa to look at you with an unimpressed expression then proceed to drag you along. 'You know you'll love ittt…' Either way he would've gotten you to agree so you ended it there and followed along his request.

By the time you had arrived at Oikawa's car most people were already sitting down in time ready for the race to begin. You walked around from the front of the car to the passenger's seat before you could hear Oikawa jogging from behind you.

'Ah bup bup bup, let me get that for you.' He put his hands around your waist to push you to the side gently in order for him to open the door for you. You've never actually realised it but you've never been in Oikawa's car despite being together for so long. On all your dates you've taken your own car mainly because you preferred driving over being the passenger. And on top of that you and Oikawa loved to have little competitions on who'd arrive at the destination first.

'I can get it myself but thank you. You have a race to get to.' You placed your hand on Oikawa's arm which was still grasping on the handle of the passenger seat door. Oikawa looked down at you with a soft look then stood up straight releasing his grip on the handle to get a better view of you.

'Not when you're riding with me you're not. Now c'mon, get in.' You ducked underneath and slid into Oikawa's car in the passenger's seat. The car was warm which was nice seeing as outside was chilly due to it already being way into the night. As you looked around you picked up on the minor details such as the custom gear stick and installed LED lights at your feet. Surrounding you was the scent of Oikawa's cologne - Joop Homme which had strong woody-floral notes. The interior was all suede meaning it wasn't cold like when your skin would touch the surface. For the most part, the interior of the car was black however the inner cushioning of the seats was white as well as the dashboard with miniscule black details.

You didn't even notice Oikawa step into the driver's seat as you were too engrossed into observing the vicinity of his car which you were extremely impressed with, not a speck of dust in sight. You watched as the participants' cars headed off to the starting line which would be you and Oikawa soon enough. Oikawa pressed down on the clutch while pressing the ignition button which started the car causing it to rumble beneath you.

'Shall we m'lady?' Oikawa said in a fake British accent which he's shockingly good at by the way as he held his hand out to yours whilst pulling a wicked grin, exposing the tooth gems on his left fangs that reflected brightly off the moonlight.

You took in his hand whilst mirroring the same exact grin he gave you. 'We shall.' Oikawa drove off in the direction of the starting line as 'Reflections' by the Neighbourhood played on the car stereo.
