Diana spent several days doing nonstop research on the disease. She was barely eating or sleeping because she was that determined to find a cure for her girlfriend's illness.

Akko had noticed that Diana was spending more time in the library than she was with her. She knew that she was doing research on her sickness, but she was also starting to feel lonely and was worried about Diana's health too.

The young brunette then decided to ask two Diana's closest friends, Hannah and Barbara for help.

She had asked them to meet her in the courtyard and she wasn't sure if they were willing to show up because of their nasty history in the past but she was willing to put that aside.

Akko was sitting in the courtyard and to her surprise that had actually shown up. She prayed that they wouldn't end up fighting like the usually did when they met up with each other.

"There you are Akko" Hannah said

"Thanks for coming, you two" Atsuko said

"What do you need us for?" Barbara asked

"I need you two to try and convince Diana to leave the library" Akko said

"That's why you called out here?" Hannah asked

The redheaded witch was already getting irritated.

"Why don't you do it?" Barbara asked

"I tried and Diana brushed me off" Akko said

"Isn't she doing research on that disease you have? Why would you want to stop her from doing that?" Hannah asked

"I do appreciate what's she's doing for me, but she's been spending more time in there than with me. I'm also afraid that she's been ignoring her own health for the sake of mine. Please you two, you're the only girls I can depend on" Akko said

The two girls looked at the brunette. They also saw that she was panting like she had just ran a marathon.

"Alright, we'll go see her" Barbara said

"We will? Oof!" Hannah asked before she was hit.

Barbara had elbowed her friend in the side to shut her up and make her agree.

"O-oh yeah we will! Hehe" Hannah said with a chuckle

"Thanks, you two" Akko said

The two of them left and the young brunette was left by herself again.

Hannah and Barbara made their way towards the school library and sure enough there was Diana with a big pile of books. They guessed she was planning on reading through ever single book in this library in order to find the cure.

"Diana" Barbara said

The prodigy witch looked over and the two girls saw that their friend had dark circles under eyes. She had obviously been staying up very late in order to go through all the books.

"Hannah, Barbara? What are you two doing in here?" Diana asked

"Well, we were worried about you" Barbara said

"Worried about me? What is there to worry about?" Diana asked

"Well you've been in here a lot lately and we're worried that you've been pushing yourself too far" Hannah said

"I'm fine girls" Diana said

"You're obviously not fine" Hannah said

Diana looked up again.

"Pardon me?" Diana asked

Barbara sighed.

"Look, Diana, Akko requested us to ask you to come out of the library" Barbara said

Diana raised her eyebrow.

"Akko did what?" Diana asked

"Look, we understand that you're trying find a cure but I think you've been taking this research thing a little too far" Barbara said

Diana stood up and faced them.

"What do you mean too far?! I'm doing this for her, remember?!" Diana asked

"Of course, we remember! It's just that you seem to be ignoring your own health for the sake of Akko's" Hannah said

"Akko's the one who's sick not me! If I don't find a cure soon, she'll die!" Diana said

"We understand but—" Barbara said before being cut off

"Then why are you trying to stop me?!" Diana asked in anger

"Because Akko is feeling lonely without you! She feels like you been spending more time here, in the library, than with her!" Hannah said

"That's ridiculous! She's just being dramatic!" Diana said

The two of them just sighed and left.

They went back to Atsuko.

"Sorry, but we couldn't make her budge" Barbara said

"Oh" Akko said in disappointment

"She might come to her senses soon" Hannah said

Akko was alone once again, and she had no idea how long she had sat in the courtyard. She then felt some wet drops on her hands. The brunette looked up in the sky and didn't see any rain clouds just regular white clouds.

The Japanese witch then felt a stream of water flowing down her cheeks. She was crying.

"When did I start crying? Why am I crying?" Akko asked herself.

She tried to wipe away her tears but more had appeared in their place.

"Why won't they stop? I'm not sad" Akko said

Akko knew that was a lie. She was trying to convince herself that she was fine. She was trying to be strong for Diana.

Chariot Du Nord, a professor at Luna Nova, was looking for Akko. She was wondering how her student was doing. She was saddened to hear that her student had gotten deathly ill.

The redheaded teacher had found her student sitting on a bench in the courtyard. She then saw that her favorite student was wiping her eyes. She finally caught what she was trying to rub away…her tears.

She hated seeing the young Japanese witch crying so she approached her.

"Akko? Are you ok?" Chariot asked

The brunette looked over and saw that it was her idol and favorite teacher.

"I-I'm fine" Akko said

Chariot sat next to her so Akko wouldn't be alone.

"Come on, Akko, I know that's not true. You're crying" Chariot pointed out

Akko remained silent.

"You can tell me anything" Chariot said

Akko then explained the whole situation with Diana. Chariot frowned. She understood that Diana was doing it for her but to leave Akko alone for so long wasn't the right thing to do either.

Akko was trying to be strong for Diana and tried to look like the same person she was. However, the truth was that Akko was bottling up her emotions and trying to keep them there.

"Akko, I will talk to Diana" Chariot said

"N-no it's fine" Akko said

"No it's not fine. Diana's absence is obviously having a very big emotional effect on you. That isn't healthy, Akko" Chariot said

The teacher hugger her student.

"I'll try to talk some sense in her ok?" Chariot asked

She then felt her slump and brought her back up and saw that her face had gotten really red. She placed her hand on her student's forehead and gasped. She had gotten a fever and it was a really high one too. She wasted no time and picked up the young Japanese witch and quickly carried her to her room.

Chariot then placed Akko on her bed and placed a cold rag on the brunette's forehead.

"All that emotional stress finally got to you. Don't worry, I'll fix this" Chariot said

Chariot then got up and left her room and went over towards the library where Diana was still studying.

"Diana" Chariot said

The prodigy looked up and saw that it Chariot.

"Professor, Du Nord, what is it?" Diana asked

"Akko collapsed with a high fever" Chariot said

The prodigy's eyes went wide and stood up. She stumbled a little but managed to regain her balance.

"Where is she now?!" Diana asked worried

"She's in my room" Chariot said

"Please take me to her" Diana said

The redheaded professor nodded and guided her back to her. Once they were back in her room Diana saw her girlfriend sleeping on Chariot's bed.

"How is she?" Diana asked

Chariot felt her forehead and felt that her fever had gone down.

"There's still a slight fever but a majority of it is gone" Chariot said

Diana sighed with relief.

"Diana, I need to talk to you" Chariot said

"Can it wait for another time? I need to get back to the library" Diana said

The professor shook her head.

"No, we need to talk now" Chariot said

Diana turned back and wondered what the teacher wanted to talk to her about.

"I heard from Akko, that you've been in that library a lot lately and have been rarely seen" Chariot said

"I'm trying to find a cure for Akko's disease" Diana said

"I understand, but you've been leaving Akko all alone" Chariot said

"Professor, I'm doing this for her sake" Diana said

"I understand, but have you ever stopped and thought about how Akko might have felt about you are spending this much time in the library instead of spending some of that time being with her?" Chariot asked

Diana's eyes went wide. She did remember Akko trying to convince her to come out so they could spend some time together and she had just brushed her off.

"Akko's fever was the result of emotional distress and her illness caused her to have a fever and a bit of a breakdown. When I found her I saw her crying" Chariot said

Diana looked at the professor with great surprise.

"Akko…was crying?" Diana aske

The professor nodded.

"My god…I was so blind. I never thought about Akko's feelings at all" Diana said

"I think you need to get something to eat and have a proper meal this time. After that I suggest getting some sleep and coming back over here in the morning" Chariot said

Diana just nodded and left.

The next morning Akko was up and thanked her teacher for helping her out and then she left.

She then ran into Diana in the hallways. She was surprised to see her out of the library.

"Diana, your out of the library" Akko said

She was about to continue but was cut off when her girlfriend gave her a hug.

"D-Diana?" Akko asked

"I'm sorry" Diana said

"Huh?" Akko asked as Diana pulled away from and looked at her straight in the eyes.

"I didn't realize how lonely you were and how sad I was making you feel. Professor Chariot told me what happened" Diana said

"Does that mean you can spend more time with me? Akko asked in excitement

"Yes" Diana replied

Akko was happy.

"So you forgive me?" Diana asked

"Well…If you get me some ice cream then I might be willing to forgive you" Akko said

Diana giggled.

"Ok, then let's get some ice cream" Diana said

The couple then went out for some ice cream and managed to reconnect with each other.
