Chapter 2: Bending

It was a peaceful evening. The pink purplish sunset was beautiful. Everyone was inside eating dinner. They were all having some meat skewers with some rice at the side. Aang of course didn't eat meat so just ate the rice. He was still very hungry since he had not eaten lunch and breakfast.

"Aang, would you like some more?" Katara asked politely.

"No, thank you," Aang responded.

Katara was getting a little worried about Aang. He didn't eat lunch and breakfast, and he had been dozing off alot today. Of course, she knew Aang wasn't going to tell her anything unless she made him, which she was going to do.

When everyone was finished, everyone got their stuff ready to leave. "Why don't we stay here for the night?" Sokka questioned.

Everyone kept quiet till Zuko broke the silence. "Why not? It will be just like old times." Zuko said. Everyone agreed as they walked down the beach to the beach house they had been staying at.

"Sokka, you and Suki down the hall to your left. Toph, the first left room. Aang, Katara the room on the right." Zuko said.

Everyone got to their rooms and while me and Aang unpacked. After they were done Aang left the room. Katara didn't notice till she saw Aang wasn't there. She checked around the house, but Aang wasn't there. Then she saw a small figure on the beach. "Aang?" She asked.

"Yeah?" Aang questioned.

"I've been a bit worried about you, you've been dozing off a lot, and you're not eating." Katara said.

"Worried"… Aang thought.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Katara asked.

The voice repeated itself in Aang's head. Go ahead tell her about me, Worry her.

"I'm fine Katara." Aang said standing up.

"Come on Aang, you know you can tell me anything." Katara pleaded.

Aang looked down. Go ahead tell her about me, Worry her.

"I'm telling you Katara I'm fine." Aang said facing her.

"Are you sure?"

"Positive" Aang confirmed as they walked in the house and went to sleep.

Aang awoke to see himself in a dark forest.

"Avatar Aang.."

"You again?"

"Did you miss me?"

"Ugh."

"Why didn't you tell Katara the truth?"

"What do you mean? You told me not to."

"I meant to do what your heart tells you to do."

"What?"

"Oh Aang."

"WELL AT LEAST I SPEAK ENGLISH!"

"*Sighs*"

"What is this place anyway?"

"Why don't you guess?"

"A forest?"

"What else?"

" I dunno, a dark one?"

"Sure."

"Why am I here again?"

"You're here for a reason."

"I know, what reason?"

"I'm here to tell you bad news."

"Ok?"

"Fear had moved into the place trust used to be. For this action, a rare energy has moved in your body where Cosmic energy once was."

"So?"

"Avatar Aang, I'm afraid your bending abilities are.."

"GONE?!"

"No, I prefer to use the term "Gone for now"

"How can it be gone?!" Aang said with tears filling his eyes.

"Like I said, Fear has moved in where trus-"

"How… How can I get it back?"

"You have to find trust again."

"How?"

"You must figure that out on your own."

"This..this is just a dream right?"

"It may be but you still hear me during the day right?"

"I do trust..I do!"

"You may say that but you have to believe that."

"Wait! Please don't leave me!"

"You must fix this on your own. I cannot help."

"WAIT! PLEASE!"

"You must do this on your own."

The voice fades away, and Aang awakens from the nightmare terrified.
