Simon felt his lungs burning. His eyes shot open, and he realized he was drowning. He started to swim frantically towards the surface. His head bobbed up over the water. He looked around, only seeing miles of water.

There were a few pieces of debris. He saw one in the near distance. He could make out the outline of two people. Simon started to swim towards the people. His head was killing him, but he was determined. "Hey, over here," Simon shouted.

About halfway there, Simon realized his jeans were holding him back. He took them off, allowing them to hit the ocean floor. He continued to swim towards the people. When he got close, a wave smacked him right in the face. "Agh," Simon shouted.

"Simon," a familiar voice shouted. Someone extended their hand towards Simon. He took the hand, and the person pulled him onto the piece of debris. It seemed to have been a part of one of the wings. Simon noted that his savior was Nick. Abby and Leah were on the other side.

"Thanks, man," Simon said.

"No problem," Nick said.

"I feel like I've been hit by a bus," Abby groaned.

"More like dropped out of a plane," Leah said. "Do we know if there were any more survivors?"

"I didn't see any on my way here," Simon said. "But they could be more spread out."

"True," Abby said. "It can't be long until they notice we're missing, right? They'll alert the school when we don't show up for check-in. Maybe they already know about the plane crash."

"But it might take days for them to locate us," Leah said. "If we survive that long."

"Or longer," Nick said. "So you better get used to the taste of saltwater. Because that's probably all we're going to be consuming for a while."

A week passed, and the group felt worse. Everyone on the raft had come down with a fever. Their clothes had become dirty, and they were now just in their underwear. "I wouldn't mind just letting the sharks eat me," Leah groaned.

"We can't give up," Abby said quickly. "We can still be saved. People have survived in the middle of the ocean for longer. We can do it too. I'm sure that a helicopter will fly over us soon. I can't wait for that. To finally get to take a shower and call my family."

"Guys, I see something," Nick shouted. They turned in the direction Nick was looking at. They saw an island in the distance. They started to cheer as the island became closer. The teens paddled towards the island.

About an hour later, they arrived at the shore. They climbed off of the raft and collapsed into the sand. "Sand, sweet beautiful sand," Nick declared. "How I missed its rough feeling. I'm probably going to find this in my underwear later, but I couldn't care less!"

Simon let out a content sigh. "Hey, who goes there," a voice shouted. The teens realized that they're not alone.
