As Maximus was waiting for the other wyverns to come back a messenger came back running into the tent

"Sir we were attacked by wild animals"The messenger said in exasperation.

"By what?"Maximus says with his expression in surprise then to anger "A wild animal are you telling the true if not you will be executed for treason."

Maximus is having difficulties as to why they would send a messenger for a wild animal attacking they have more than 50,000 troops to scare away a wild animal.

"Sir when it first appeared we ignored it as we thought it wouldn't attack but in moments it ran at us as fast as a horse and killed fifty soldiers in under 4 minutes." The messenger said.

"Fifty soldiers is it a wild wyvern but why would attack us our numbers should scare any animal from attacking us?" Said the general in confusion.

"And you said animals too so why you said as if just one attacked" Maximus said as he looked at the messenger with a questioning glance.

The soldier nods and starts to talk"With the sacrifice of the fifty soldiers we made the owl bear looking beast retreat but as we were celebrating our victory a pack of horse or sometimes wyvern sized wolves appeared and the bigguest ones started relentlessly attacking our front as we formed a shield wall t-t-they...the soldier trembled...stopped and waited..."as the soldier trembled Maximus interrups him and asks with a frown"Why Are you trembling?"the messengers eyes widens "I'm trembling?" he says in disbelief and looks at his hand for confirmation "I didn't know sir."... Maximus sighs and says"Forget it continue." "Yes General, as the wolves stopped and waited something was coming from the forest, and we could feel it as each step it took the ground trembled then it appeared..."

Flashback fifteen minutes before

Third perspective

As the ground trembled and growls of the wargs and clinks of metals against each and screams of pain and flesh tearing as the smallest wargs where in the back looking for an opportunity to pick easy prey they would sometimes rapidly go to the rear of shield wall and pick the wounded ones and escape to eat the helpless soldier into small pieces and eat it many died in this way and the officer in command of this legion is commanding the troops but he is a little scared and cursing on his Mind "Shit i a noble can't die by mere animals and where are the damn archers without them these monsters will pick our wounded soldiers one by one and the big ones they are terrifying if what i saw correctly is that one of these killed an ogre by biting the ogre throat off with ease and immediately bashed with his head at his right where there were some soldiers, and they went flying for tens of meters, and it started eating the ogre. The officer gulped by noticing that this big wolves are in the minimum as strong as ogres, but they don't have the weakness of being slow, they need to have some weakness for their size like the ogres, but he can't see one weakness from them... Wshhh(A wyvern screech don't know how to write it)Finally some support ahh he sighs as he psyches himself to command the reduced legion "Troops we have the support of the wyverns so defend with your all and make these beasts cower in our might!"

"OHHhhhhH"All the troops in front scream in unison which the wolves mostly ignored except some of them which seem inexperienced and stopped for some seconds and looked confused and immediately attacked afterwards...

After two seconds all the wolves stopped in a safe distance and looked at where the wyvern corps where coming from Almost all of them trembled momentarily but rapidly calmed and looked confused at the wyverns as if they saw a strange thing and some of the bigger ones changed their looks of confusion to a hungry stare at wyverns, the wyverns that were eyed like that became scared for a while and their instincts screamed that they are being eyed by an extremely deadly predator.

As riders felt this they got surprised as they didn't felt their wyverns this scared never.

They ignore it and command the wyverns to swoop down at the small wolves using their superior mobility and kill the troublesome ones that attack their shield wall back.

As the wyverns riders where looking for a target some of the big wargs sneaked on the ones closer to the ground with the one closest to the ground by ten meters and waited for the others to sneak on the distracted riders and when they felt it was the right moment they jumped aiming at the wyverns necks which unfortunately is where the riders are too and the riders are immediately shredded by the big mouths of the wargs and rapidly perish, but the wyverns don't have the same luxury as their neck are bitten by the wargs with just enough force to break their spines and paralyze them and are brought afar from the battle to be feasted after.

The others riders that have seen this flew higher as they don't want the same fate happening to them, and they removed any idea of attacking the big wolves and focus on the smaller and weaker ones, some seconds later a wyvern swooped down aiming at a warg the size of a small horse.

The same warg noticed the attack and decided to dodge in an incredulous speed that no horse could do the rider just saw it blur to the side and saw that it was fifty meters away from the original position then to the terror of the rider saw one of the big ones that was the closest do the same, and then he just saw a massive mouth and that was the last thing that he saw before having been smooched to paste by one of the bigger wargs in this group a good human bigger than a wyvern.

As the battle continued for some time and the scenes repeating of wargs battling, killing the wounded and tired and eating and wyverns riders making a mistake and being killed alongside the wyverns a change happened. The wolves stooped and retreated back from where they came from and most where carrying dead corpses of saderans soldiers, ogres and wyverns and the just stood there as if waiting for something and then the ground started to shake at first almost unnoticeable but every soldier in this part where tense and focused so they just where felling strange at most... but it got worse and worse as time passed as the shaking ground started to get noticed by the troops and some of the reinforcement that got there started to feel this tremor as they stopped and because they aren't as tense as the ones fighting they noticed something it was in pattern as if something massive was walking, and it just got stronger the smartest ones got tense that if its getting stronger and if is caused by something it means it's going for them.

As the tremors got worse and worse by the seconds to the point of where they need to focus on staying up as to not fall almost everyone got into panic, and they were paled, sweating and in terror in fear of the ground suddenly disappearing.

The same officer that was commanding the legion that got attacked is looking at the wolf group and is tense, and he is in a panic as he was waiting for what fells like an eternity for whatever is coming, but he is confident that his and the other legions that came to help can kill the thing that is coming at them because they are the invisible imperial decides to give his troops morale as he saw their terrified faces"Do not fear as we are the Unbeatable saderan army and whatever is coming here will die from our hands!" "YEAHHH" All the young soldiers screamed and got less scared but the olders ones got a little better, but they are still scared from what's coming.

As the screams quieted down they started seeing a light from the forest and as it got closer they could see it was a purple color, but they still couldn't see the cause and what is that light yet but sooner they see that the light comes from a purple flame, and they finally saw the thing that was coming at them, it was a Giant wolf that looked similar but different from the other first its fur was red, and his tail had spikes, and there were purple flames on his legs, head, tail and back and the look it gave was as if a monster that was born in a fire, and then it stopped close to the other wolves and to the terror of them they could see it was and it eight times bigger than a wyvern or the size of an ancient dragon ... a big number of gulped at the size and looks of this wolf it looks terrifying and is as big as an ancient dragon which adds to the fear, but then it sat and started looking at the more than 6,000 troops that is in front of as if looking at ants and strange symbols appeared on his and the fear of the saderans grew more but this felling was strange but some of the soldiers with phobias have a similar feeling of when their phobia kicks in... They thought. And their fears grew even more as they saw the wolf slowly open its humongous mouth and... flames came from between the teeth.

Don't know why i am making this but its cool.
