The Ducks meet Rosie and The thread activates

After a massive victory of playing ice hockey against the wildcats, The ducks all headed back to their HQ and Tanya looked up on the main computer for any signs of the Saurians and there were no reading signs of them anywhere on their scanners. While that was going on, Nosedive looked down on his watch and realizes that it was almost close to Five o'clock, he needed to get ready for his date tonight with Rosie. "Hey dudes, I'm gotta go, I promised Rosie that after the game, I would take her out for some soda, so Laters," He started heading for the door when he felt a hand on his shoulder, it was Wildwing looking concerned for some reason. "Maybe we should all go meet her, just in case if there was any danger, after all, she is famous and people might target her for something," Nosedive nodded his head as the rest of the team changed back into their original clothes and headed up to the rink. "Hey you guys, wait there's something I gotta tell you," Said Phil as they headed out the door and towards the Anaheim mall.

At a soda shop, Rosie was sitting in a booth with her father and Pearlie while waiting for her date to come. She spotted him walking in and she looks at him with hearts flying around her head. "Oh, here he comes Daddy and Pearlie, Okay I didn't tell him that you guys are here because I don't want him to be nervous, NOSEDIVE over here," She waved to him and he spotted her at her booth as he walked to her booth. But when he got there, he saw her father and Pearlie sitting at both ends of the booths. They both are impressed at the sight of him as Rosie motioned for him to sit down with them while the ducks sit at a different booth behind them. "Daddy, Pearlie, I like you both to meet Nosedive, the guy from the comics store, that I went to earlier and who is so nice to me, Nosedive, this is my father and a company businessman in my rose business, Mr. Victor Valentines and my dear best friend, Pearlie Pearlgate," "So you are this Nosedive I heard so much about, huh, and my daughter here tells me that you also play ice Hockey which is her favorite sport too." "Yes sir, I do and I just love your beautiful daughter too sir," Mr. Valentines let out a big hearty laugh and clapped his hand behind Nosedive's back.

While they are chatting, Pearlie found this the perfect opportunity to slip under the table quietly, she then reached into her pocket, pulled out the red thread, and tied one end around Rosie's Pinky finger. Just then, the rest of the ducks walked over to where Nosedive was. "Oh Rosie, I'm so sorry that they came, they just wanna meet you and they just heard that you were in town," Pearlie bumped her head on the table as she sat down again. "Sorry, I must have dropped something under the table and onto the floor, please go on, and who are they," "Everyone, these are my teammates, the Mighty Ducks, Wildwing, my brother, Duke, Mallory, Grin, and Tanya. Guys, I like you all to meet Rosie, the girl that I met at the comics store today, and her father and her best friend." As they all shook hands and greeted each other one by one at a time, Tanya looked down and saw a red thread on Rosie's finger. At first, she was confused about why it was tied to her finger, but then she thought maybe never mind. "So Rosie, how is the rose business going because there are lots of magazines with your pictures on them and they also said that you're also into music and other stuff too."

"Hey guys, will you all look at that beautiful sunset," Mallory pointed out as they looked out the window at a beautiful sunset. Rosie stood up from the booth and asked if she could go out and get some fresh air because, for some reason, she was starting to feel a little woozy, Nosedive got up with her and walked with her outside to help her feel the cool breeze coming in. "Hey babe, I was wondering if I could tell you something," "Yes Nosedive?" Nosedive was about to speak when he looked down and saw Pearlie tying the other side of the thread to his finger. "Hey, why is your friend tying a red thread to my finger," Rosie suddenly hugged him close as Pearlie pulls on the red thread as it tightens itself around his finger. Suddenly the red thread started to glow bright red as Nosedive's eyes started to glow red too and once the thread stopped glowing, he looked straight at Rosie and there was deep love in his eyes. "Rosie, ever since we first met, I feel like I belong to you and I just wanna say to you that I wanted to spend my entire life being with you for always and forever," "What is going on out here," Said Mr. Valentines as he and the ducks rushed out of the shop to see Nosedive down on one knee and holding hands with Rosie. "What are you exactly saying to me, Nosedive," She gasped as she knows what he is saying and she started welling up in tears, for she knows what he was gonna say or do, and as he started to speak, a large crowd from the mall was starting to surround them.

"Rosalina "Rosie" Valentines, will you do me the honor of being my Girly girl for real life, for I am your main mallard of deep love, and also please, will you marry me," Rosie then blinked tears in her eyes as she looked at her father, who smiled and nodded his head at her and she shouted while jumping up and down, "YES, YES, YES, YES, OF COURSE, I'LL MARRY YOU NOSEDIVE," She hugged and kissed him while the crowd around them clapped and cheered and the ducks were shocked with their mouths opened wide. She turned towards her father and spoke to him, "Daddy, I love him and he does love me," "Sir, I promise to you that I will treat your daughter like a princess she is and with your blessing, please, sir" "Of course, my dear boy, I wish you both the best and happy days of eternal happiness and love. Listen, Everyone, my daughter is getting married," He held up a soda and proposed a toast, "To the future Mr. and Mrs. Nosedive Flashblade, and the son I never have," Everybody cheered and clapped as they congratulated the happy couple. "Excuse me, why are we all clapping," Phil asked a stranger that close to him, "Mr. Valentine's daughter just got engaged," Wildwing shook his head, walked up to Nosedive, and talked to him." Dive, are you sure you wanna get married, what about the team and me," "Bro, it's time for me to settle down and be with someone, Rosie is the only girl of my heart when I first met her," He hugged Rosie as Pearlie gave her thumbs up and she did the same.

Once back at the pond during hockey practice, the ducks were all baffled at what Nosedive had said. "I can't believe that he actually proposed to that girl even though they just first met," Said Duke as he passed the puck to Tanya. "I still can't believe that he wants to marry her," Mallory said as Grin passed her the puck and she hit it at Wildwing, who caught it in his mitts. " I can't believe he is actually gonna get married to her, there's something wrong with him and we gotta find out what," said Wildwing as he took the puck and threw it back at his team. "I sensed a dark cloud of chains made out of roses and rose thorns surrounding both him and his heart," said Grin as he skated alongside Mallory as they passed the puck to each other. "Hey guys, some lady is here to see you and she wants to talk to you about something important," said Phil as the team head over to where he was. Standing right next to him, was a woman with short dark blue hair and has brown eyes. She was wearing a black dress that goes all the way to her knees and wearing black heels on her feet. On her head was a veiled hat that goes down to her waist and behind her is a black and blue cloak that reaches her feet.

"Greetings, I am Akane Tendo from Japan and I'm searching for a special something that was brought here, have you all seen it perhaps," They shook their heads when Tanya suddenly remembered something back at the soda shop. "Excuse me, are you talking about a long red thread," "Yes that's it, have you seen it, because I must get it back for it is known as "The red thread of Fate" and It was stolen from me," "Miss Tendo, what exactly is "The Red Thread Of Fate," and how was it stolen from you in the first place," asked Wildwing as she sat down, explaining that the thread has magical powers and that whoever wears the thread, will be soulmates, but only temporarily in five hours, the thread will disappear and they would be mated for life. "Now it all makes sense, Nosedive had the thread around his finger just like Rosie had, That's why he wanted to get married and the red thread is making him do it," "I knew something was going on when I saw it around Rosie's finger," Then Duke realized something as he turned towards Akane. "Excuse me, Miss, but exactly what happens after five hours is up and what will happen to the thread," "then your friend is doomed to be with her as long as the thread is tied around his finger," "Then what are we doing standing around here for, We've gotta go save Nosedive," Wildwing tapped on his jersey and they all changed into their battle uniforms. "Wait, I'm coming too, I can help you by telling you all about what I know about the thread, but I'll tell you on the way there," They headed inside the migrator and they sped away into the night.
