Chapter 2: Whirl Meets The Ponies

Meanwhile, Whirl was enjoying herself. She continued to explore whatever land she had been teleported to thanks to Hoist and Fixit, taking pictures with her phone as she did.

"This place is so pretty." she said. "But somehow, I get the feeling that I've seen this before somewhere."

She then spotted what appeared to be buildings in the distance.

"That looks like a town." Whirl determined. "Maybe I should go see who lives there."

With that, Whirl approached the town, and saw that the buildings were constructed to resemble the Tudor architectural style.

"These buildings look just as familiar." said Whirl.

Just then, out of the corner of her optic, Whirl saw three small female Ponies. The first was a portafino Earth Pony with a radical red mane and tail, eyes in a gradient from burnt sienna to my sin orange, a French rose bow on her head, and an image of a shield with a dark purple apple and a flamingo pink heart on it on her flanks. The background of the shield was a vertical tricolor of radical red, cupid pink, and mulberry. The second was a white smoke Unicorn with a bicolored mane and tail in east side purple and cupid pink and eyes in a gradient from hippie green to moss green. The third was a rajah orange Pegasus with a mulberry mane and tail and eyes in a gradient from christalle purple to east side purple. The second and third Ponies each had an image on their flanks similar to the Earth Pony's, except the Unicorn had a five-point star and a musical note on hers while the Pegasus had a wing and a lightning bolt on hers. The three little Ponies were looking up at Whirl with awe.

"Uh...bah-weep-Graaaaagnah wheep ni ni bong." Whirl said.

The three little Ponies looked at each other.

"What did she say?" asked the Unicorn.

"I dunno." said the Earth Pony.

The Pegasus just shrugged with her wings.

Whirl was surprised when she heard this conversation. But all of a sudden, something clicked in Whirl's mind.

"Wait a minute." she said to herself. "I know who those three are! They're the Cutie Mark Crusaders; Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo!"

It was then that Whirl ws able to figure out where she was.

"Now I know where I am!" she thought. "I'm in Ponyville! Furthermore, I'm in Equestria!"

"Um, are you okay?" asked Sweetie Belle.

"Oh yeah, I'm fine." said Whirl. "Thanks for asking, Sweetie Belle. You too, Apple Bloom and Scootaloo."

Apple Bloom and her friends were very surprised.

"How do you know are names?" asked Scootaloo.

"I've been watching your show lately." said Whirl. "I practically know everypony by name at this point."

"Well, you know our names." said Apple Bloom. "What's yours?"

"And where did you come from?" asked Sweetie Belle.

"My name is Whirl." Whirl replied. "I'm from the planet Cybertron, but I'm stationed on Earth with my friends Hot Shot, Hoist, Medix, and Wedge. We're part of the Rescue Bots."

The CMC's were very surprised.

"Another Cybertronian?!" gasped Apple Bloom. "Wait til Applejack and the others see this!"

"Wait." said Whirl. " "Another" Cybertronian? You mean I'm not the first of my kind to come here?"

"Nope." said Sweetie Belle. "But I think it would be better if Twilight told you the whole story herself."

Whirl gasped with awe.

"Wow! A chance to meet my favorite Pony, Twilight Sparkle herself!" Whirl thought before speaking up again. "Can you take me to her?"

"Of course." said Scootaloo. "Follow us."

With that, the CMC's led Whirl away, and as they walked through the streets, Whirl noticed many Ponies looking at her, but then carrying on with their business as if she was one of them.

"How come those other Ponies aren't scared of me?" she asked. "Clearly, they would be if they see someone from another planet."

"Well, everypony pretty much knows about your kind." said Sweetie Belle.

"Just like the people in Griffin Rock." Whirl thought.

Eventually, the three fillies and their companion arrived at a strange structure that looked like a castle built into a crystalline tree. The minute her optics caught sight of it, Whirl gasped.

"The Castle Of Friendship!" she thought excitedly.

But then, a thought struck her mind.

"How am I going to get inside?" she asked. "I'm too big to fit through the door."

"Hey, she's right." said Scootaloo.

Apple Bloom had an idea.

"Twilight will know what to do." she said. "I'll go fetch her."

Apple Bloom went inside, and came out a short time later with a wisteria purple Alicorn with a mane and tail that were regal blue with one kingfisher daisy purple stripe and one dark pink stripe, eyes in a gradient from Persian indigo to kingfisher daisy purple, and an image on her flanks that consisted of a large dark pink sox-point star surrounded by five smaller white six-point stars. This, as many of you know, was none other than Twilight Sparkle. Whirl bowed in front of Twilight in respect.

"You don't need to do that." Twilight giggled. "I may be a princess, but not to that extreme."

"But you're still a princess regardless." said Whirl. "So it's only fair."

"I know." nodded Twilight. "I'm just saying it's not necessary. Anyways, what's your name?"

"Whirl." replied Whirl. "Whirl of the Junior Rescue Bots. And I must say, meeting my favorite Pony, who just so happens to be you, is a true honor."

"The honor is mine." said Twilight. "Now, I believe you asked me to help with a little problem, Apple Bloom?"

"Yeah, we wanna take Whirl inside, but she's too big to fit through the door." explained Apple Bloom.

"Don't worry, I know just what to do." said Twilight. "Stand back, girls."

The CMC's did so, and Twilight lit up her horn and fired a beam of magic at Whirl, who immediately began shrinking until she was up to eye level with Twilight.

"That should do the trick." said Twilight.

And fortunately, it did. When Twilight and the CMC's led Whirl inside the castle, Whirl fit through the door easily. Of course, she did have to walk sideways so that the rotor blades on her back didn't get caught in the doorway, but she didn't mind. A short time later, they met with six other female Ponies; two Unicorns, two Earth Ponies, and two Pegasi, as well as a little male dragon. The first Unicorn was solitude gray in color with a mane and tail in a gradiant from Persian indigo to studio purple, eyes in a gradient from oriental blue to curious blue, pale turquoise eyeshadow on her upper eyelids, and an image of three lozenge-shaped gems on her flank. the second Unicorn was lavendar in color with a bicolored mane and tail in vivid violet and deep lilac purple with a blizzard blue stripe, eyes in a gradient from midnight blue to pale cornflower blue, and an image of a purple and white eight-pointed star with two two-toned turquoise blue glimmering streams on her flanks. For the Earth Ponies, the first was rajah orange in color with white freckles on her face, a shalimar mane and tail with cinnabar red hair ties, eyes in a gradient from forest green to apple green, a light brown cowboy hat on her head, and an image of three red apples on her flanks. The second Earth Pony was cupid pink with a dark pink mane and tail, eyes in a gradient from allports blue to sky blue, and in image of two blue balloons with yellow strings and one yellow balloon with a blue string. Finally, for the Pegasi, the first was shalimar yellow with a long cupid pink mane and tail, eyes in a gradient from Sherpa blue to Persian green, and an image of three light turquoise butterflies with pink wings on her flanks and the second was light sky blue with a rainbow-colored mane and tail made up of cinnabar red, sun orange, shalimar yellow, apple green, summer sky blue, and kingfisher daisy purple, eyes in a gradient from Falu red to medium violet red, and an image of a white cloud with a tricolor lightning bolt of cinnabar red, corn yellow, and summer sky blue coming out from the bottom. The dragon was east side purple with a light spring green underbelly, emerald green spikes on his head, light lime green ear fronds, and eyes in a gradient from forest green to apple green. Whirl quickly identified who they were.

"Let me guess; Rarity, Starlight Glimmer, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Spike." said Whirl as she pointed out to each one.

"You got that right." winked Applejack. "I must say, it's really amazing to see another one of you Cybertronians here in Equestria."

"And it's amazing just to be here." said Whirl. "My name's Whirl, by the way."

"Well, Whirl, I speak for all of us when I say "Welcome to Equestria"." said Twilight.

"Thanks." smiled Whirl.

"Say, how did you even get here in the first place?" asked Pinkie.

"You know, I'm wondering that too." said Twilight.

Whirl then told her new friends about Hoist and the Dimension Bridge.

"Well, I'll be darned." said Applejack. "That Hoist fella is sure one dang good inventor."

"He is." said Whirl. "By the way, Twilight, Apple Bloom told me you know everything about the first time you Ponies first came into contact with my kind."

"Oh, yes." said Twilight. "That was quite the adventure."

And Twilight told Whirl all about it.

"Whoa." gasped Whirl. "The Decepticons came here?!"

"Yup." said Pinkie. "And boy, were they not nice."

"Based on some stories told by my friend Bumblebee about them, I agree." said Whirl. "I'm glad we don't have to worry about them anymore. But I've had some encounters with some myself. The first one my friends back home came across a Decepticon was when we rescued one named Laserbeak, who was hurt, but Hot Shot didn't want to help him, because he used to think all Decepticons are evil, but then my friend Wedge revealed to all of us how he was built as a Decepticon."

"Laserbeak?" asked Rainbow. "Isn't he one of those things that came out of that Soundwave guy's chest?"

"Yeah." said Whirl. "But recently, he became an Autobot. But when Soundwave found out when he came to the Academy to retrieved him, he didn't like that, so he kidnapped me, Hoist, Medix, and Wedge as a form of payback."

The Mane 7, the CMC, and Spike were appalled.

"That's terrible." said Rarity.

"Yeah, it was." agreed Whirl. "But thankfully, Hot Shot came and rescued us."

"That's good." smiled Fluttershy.

"You know, Hot Shot is my best friend at the Academy." said Whirl. "I was actually the first one he met when he first joined."

"Oh, that's cool." said Rainbow.

"By the way, Whirl, what was that funny thing you said to me, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo earlier?" asked Apple Bloom. "You know, the "bah-weep-Graaaaagnah wheep ni ni bong" thing?"

"Oh, that's just the Universal Greeting." said Whirl. "We Cybertronians say that to greet other beings who might not understand our language."

But unknown to Spike and the Ponies, Whirl was starting to secretly feel sad from all the the talk about Hot Shot and the other bots as well as Cybertronians in general.

"Gee, Equestria sure is a nice place, and Twilight and her friends do seem very friendly, but I really wish I could go back home to the Academy." Whirl said to herself. "I'm kind of starting to miss the other bots, especially Hot Shot."

A.N. You probably figured this out already, but the idea of the Ponies not showing fear towards Whirl because of her being from another planet was a reference the the IDW Comics' My Little Pony/Transformers: Friendship In Disguise limited-run crossover comic. I know they're two entirely different continuities, but who cares? I mean, BigMoose01 doesn't consider RBA to be canon, and I'm pretty sure that the crossover comic is not canon to MLP or Transformers.
