Mistypaw's Quest

Summary

Two small cats were quietly patting through the bushes, one was a blue-gray furred molly and the other was a silver-blue furred molly. "Are you sure we should be doing this?" The silver-blue molly hissed in a low whisper to the blue-gray molly, who just rolled her eyes and continued on into the thicket of trees. She was on a mission to speak with a certain cat who she needed to see. The cat in question? The leader of ThunderClan, Bluestar.

Bluestar Is My Mother?

Me, Silverpaw, Firepaw and Spottedleaf all listened to Bluestar recount the events that lead up to her Decision to give up me, my brother and my other sister, Mosskit, to be raised in RiverClan. I didn't blame her though, I mean, if I was Bluestar, I would have done the same thing for the good of my Clan.

"I don't blame you Bluestar, you were just doing what you thought was right. And I've never even met Thistleclaw, and I already hate him." I muttered quietly to myself, as I glared up at the ceiling of Bluestar's den. Bluestar laughed quietly and shook her head in amusement.

"You got that right." Spottedleaf meowed, curling her tail over her front paws as she stared at me with warm and gentle eyes.

"Now that you know all of that, you two need to skedaddle out of here back to RiverClan before Crookedstar sends a patrol out looking for you." Bluestar meowed, giving an amused purr at the shocked look on Silverpaw's face. But I just pouted and stared up at Bluestar.

"Do we have to? I don't want to! Silverpaw can go back." I meowed, turning to Silverpaw who frowned at me. Bluestar shook her head but I stayed where I was, I wasn't going to leave, not after learning who my real mother actually was.

"C'mon Mistypaw! We have to go! Do you want to be yelled at by my father?" Silverpaw meowed, clearly growing impatient with me as she stared at me with annoyance shining in her blue eyes. I sighed and lashed my tail.

"I already said, I don't want to go! You can head back to RiverClan, but I'm staying here." I said, staring at Silverpaw with a calm gaze. Silverpaw was about to open her mouth to start saying something, but Bluestar beet her to it.

"Mistypaw, Silverpaw's right, you two must return back to RiverClan where you belong." The ThunderClan leader mewed, staring at me and Silverpaw with her sharp gaze.

"But-" I was cut off by Bluestar shaking her head and silencing me with a paw.

"No buts young one, you can come back and visit. But not now, come back once the fight with RiverClan has calmed down." She meowed, and I lowered my head and looked up at Bluestar with sad icy blue eyes. I gave her one last sad glance as me and Silverpaw left Bluestar's den and made our way back to RiverClan, where we would be scolded by Crockedstar for sure. I sighed sadly as I looked down at the ground, my tail drooping behind me as we entered into the RiverClan camp.

And just as I had expected, when me and Silverpaw entered the camp, a very angry Leopardfur and a worried Crookedstar were waiting for us. I flattened my ears and my tail drooped to the ground as me and Silverpaw slowly approached the leader and deputy of RiverClan.

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?" Crookedstar comes stomping up to us, and I get a lump in my throat.

"Dun dun dun. We are so dead" I say in a small squeak.

"Yeah, no kidding" Silverpaw says, rolling her eyes and flicking her tail. I sigh and mentally prepare myself for the outburst that was to come any second now.

"WE'VE BEEN SEARCHING EVERYWHERE! DID YOU JUST GO WONDER OFF INTO THUNDERCLAN'S TERRITORY OR SOMETHING? STARCLAN, I THOUGHT I RAISED AT LEAST SLIGHTLY DISCIPLINED KITS, BUT NOPE!" Crookedstar yells, sweeping her gaze over both me and Silverpaw.

"Dad. Chill." Silverpaw tells him, rolling her eyes and flicking her tail back and forth. I just sighed quietly at Silverpaw.

"I don't normally agree with Silverpaw, but she's right. You seriously need to chill." I meowed, stepping in to defend Silverpaw.

"Well, look at the runaways" Snakepaw says, joining the conversation. He's a rather large tom, although he's only a moon older than me and Silverpaw.

"Snakepaw, go stick yourself up your own butthole" I say, already exasperated with him.

"Well hello, miss snarky!" He says with a sneer.

"Shut up. Just shut up." I say, hissing at Snakepaw and turning my head away.

"Mistypaw, that's no way to treat your future mate!" Crookedstar says. I sighed and dug my paws into the dirt with a frustrated hiss.

"Hi Mistypaw! Hi Silverpaw!" Came a familiar voice, me and Silverkit turned to see Wildkit and Willowkit running up to us.

Wildkit and Willowkit had been found outside of the borders of RiverClanabout two months ago, they were only a moon younger then me and Silverpaw.

"Why are you so mad Crookedstar?" Willowkit asks, looking up at Crookedstar with nervous light blue eyes. Crookedstar sighed and turned to both Wildkit and Willowkit.

"I'm mad because Mistypaw and Silverpaw snuck out of camp, AGAIN! StarClan, I thought I raised at least two disciplined kits!" Crookedstar said, turning back to both me and Silverpaw with a glair.

"Hay, Wildkit? Where is your mate?" Snakepaw asked, looking down at Wildkit who hissed at him and turned her head away.

"UGH! You mean Sunpelt? No thank you! He can go fall in a river for all I care!" Wildkit says, clearly irritated at the mention of Sunpelpt.

"Wildkit, that's no way to treat your future mate!" Crookedstar says. Wildkit sighed and dug her paws into the dirt with a frustrated hiss.

"Mistypaw, Wildkit. What is with you two being rude to your future mates?" Crookedstar asks, looking to both me and Wildkit with questioning green eyes.

"I don't like being arranged to mate a cat who is rude and mean." I said, giving a simple answer. Wildkit's answer was the same.

Crookedstar sighed and flicked his tail in exasperation. This wasn't the first time that me and Wildkit complained about our disrespectful mates.

"Mistypaw, Silverpaw, you two will go and speak with Leopardfur, and she will decide what your punishment will be!" Crookedstar says, once more glaring at me and Silverpaw.
