AN: Hello to anyone that is reading this. I hope this finds you well and safe. I am not sure I will continue this story since I am not getting a lot of reviews so I'm not sure if anyone is really reading this one. I also recently uploaded a new chapter of "If I say" which doesn't seem to be being read either, if not I will discontinue that one as well, please let me know if you are still interested in any of these stories. I know that I haven't been updating regularly but I just moved and am staying with family while I try to find an apt and new job so I haven't been able to write as consistently as I was before, but I hope to get my life sorted out soon. I hope whoever is still reading will enjoy this update. Thank you

Chapter 2

During Klaus and Bonnie's Date

The abattoir was quiet, Kol and Elijah had checked on the children about forty-five minutes ago and all was well and they were sleeping peacefully. Kol and Elijah were sitting in the study when a vampire named Josh hurriedly walked into the room.

"I...I..am sorry to interrupt at this time, but this letter just arrived at the Center. It...it just appeared….addressed to Klaus," he finished nervously, shaking as he held out the letter.

Elijah was up in an instant, taking the envelope from the young man. "What do you mean it just appeared," he asked suspiciously as he examined it. The young vampire looked to Elijah then to Kol who was now standing next to his brother in front of the scared vampire.

He stammered, " It...it...wasn't there...I mean it was there...but that was it.. I.." As he continued to explain he became more flustered and the brothers became more annoyed.

"Enough. Shut up and breathe." Commanded Elijah. Josh stood still, although he was still trembling. "For a vampire you are awfully scary," said Kol with a hint of humor, although he was still irritated.

"Ok now that you are calmer, start from the beginning in a coherent manner. Get to the point and give us a beginning, middle and end." Elijah ordered. They waited a moment, but Josh said nothing. "NOW!"

Startled, he began his tale. "Okay...okay...I was about to lock up the Center. There was a knock at the door. I shouted that we were closed. They knocked again and again. I got frustrated and yelled come back tomorrow, you know the hours. The knocking stopped."

"I continued straightening up, about to turn off the lights, then the temperature dropped and it felt like someone was there...in there with me. Then the knocking started again, but it was louder and harder and...and it wouldn't stop. I went to the door ready to confront the person." Josh paused as he remembered the feeling he got standing at the door.

"Go on," Kol ordered impatiently, but intrigued by the story.

"The knocking continued, but when I opened the door there was no one there and only this letter was on the doorstep. I hurried up and brought it here." Josh finished.

"Is that it, nothing else?" Elijah questioned.

Josh looked down at his feet, contemplating if he should say anything else. Kol noticed his apprehension. "Well spill...what is it you, muppet...fucking vampires...unbelievable."

Elijah gave his brother a stern look expressing his dissatisfaction with him. "That's enough Kol," he turned to Josh, "Is there anything else," he softly asked, seeing that the boy was really terrified.

"It..there was ...there was no one outside that I could see but there was a smell...a scent of flowers..really sweet...I don't know...it just seemed to linger a bit then it was gone." Josh recalled as he kept his eyes focussed on the floor.

"Thank you Josh. You may leave now." Before Elijah had ended the sentence the young vampire was gone out of the room and letting himself out of the house.

Both brothers examined the letter. It was old parchment paper, folded four ways, sealed with red wax and stamped with an insignia neither one recognized and on the front Klaus' and Bonnie's names written in old calligraphy.

Elijah's instincts were telling him that this was not a good thing and to be on alert. "Call Niklaus...Now!" He ordered Kol.

Klaus and Bonnie's Date - Crescent Park

Bonnie shivered as they walked down the path in the park. Klaus held her closer thinking her cold, but it was an icy sensation that ran up her spine causing her neck hairs to rise and her senses to be on alert.

Bonnie paused, looking up at Klaus with a clouded expression."Klaus I think we should go home…" Just as Bonnie said this Klaus' cell rang. After picking he listened intently then responded sternly,"We'll be right there."

"What is-?" Bonnie didn't finish her question as Klaus lifted her in his arms bridal style, making her squeal and began running to the house. Foregoing their driver and vehicle for the speed of running and avoiding traffic, Klaus made the decision immediately.

Bonnie held on as she worried about her family, not knowing what was happening yet the feeling of dread echoing through her body told her it was nothing good.

Back At The Abattoir

All four Mikaelsons looked at the letter, now sitting on Klaus' desk in the study. Wordless after being regaled of the origins of the letter, both Bonnie and Klaus stood, quietly contemplating the object of their curiosity.

Klaus reached out for the letter, when Bonnie grabbed his hand stopping him. "I don't think it's a good idea to open it," she cautioned.

"Well it is clearly meant for us to open and read and I mean to find out who thought it best to play games with me," he countered.

Elijah cleared his throat, "Maybe, brother, it would be best to listen to Bonnie."

"I agree, if anyone cares to know what I think," Kol interjected sarcastically.

Klaus scoffed and defiantly plucked the letter up and snapped the seal, immediately cries from the children's room were heard. Klaus rapidly ran up the stairs to their room, dropping the letter; Bonnie, Elijah and Kol followed.

The horror before them shattered their hearts. Klaus had been able to open the door, but a barrier blocked them from passing over the threshold and reaching the children, but they could see the cause of the screams. The triplets were suspended in the air, next to each other. Their bodies contorting and writhing in pain as they began to merge together, magical swirling around them almost cocoon-like. Their bones breaking and snapping, muscles entwining and skin stretching, fusing together.

Bonnie screamed as she and Klaus banged against the barrier only to be forcibly thrown back into the hall and a wall, respectively. Kol moved in enough time to somewhat lessen the impact of Bonnie's landing.

Within minutes the triplets were merged into one large creature, shrieking and hissing as it fell to the floor. It looked like a miniature Klaus in his werewolf form, but cuter with its long pointy ears, rounded face and body covered in fur-like hair, yet it bore sharp talons, sharp pointy vertebrae protruding from its back and over-large fangs. It looked like a bear cub souped up on steroids and very pissed.

The creature pushed through the dazed Mikaelsons running on two legs out of the room, down the stairs and out a window. Quickly Bonnie said a tracking spell over the children.

A few Minutes Later...

"What the fuck….what the fuck was that? What happened? What was that?" Kol questioned loudly and agitatedly as he paced the study with a tumbler of bourbon in his hand.

Elijah stood silently at the bar with his drink in his hand, wondering the same thing. He was sure it was the sentiment of all present. He glanced a worried look at Bonnie who sat motionless on the leather sofa with a distant and far away expression of her beautiful face while holding the open letter.

Klaus walked over to Bonnie, kneeling in front of her, he went to caress her cheek, she recoiled. The next sound in the room effectively stopped Kol in his tracks. It was the sound of Bonnie's hand connecting to Klaus' cheek, "I told you not to open that damn thing," she hissed as she stood up.

"I told you! But you always have to do what you want! My babies are...are...my babies are out there..turned into...why..?" Bonnie yelled at Klaus as he stood in front of her, his heart breaking for her.

He attempted again to hold her, she pushed him, "No...no...I told you...I told you...stop.." She cried as he grabbed her arms roughly. She jerked away and slapped him again and again. He took it.

Elijah and Kol silently exited the study, closing the door behind them.

Klaus again grabbed her arm but she pushed him away then using her magic flung him from her. In a matter of seconds he was on her again. Reaching for her.

"My little ones...why...I told you..my babies.." Bonnie sobbed as Klaus held her in his strong arms, willing to take any punishment she meted out. Finally she calmed down enough that he loosened his hold, she moved her arms to wrap them around his neck, hugging him, burying her face into his chest.

"I'm so scared...I love you.." She mumbled in his chest, softly but he heard nonetheless.

"I know, so am I. I love you too. We will fix this," he said as he stroked her hair, soothing her. Pulling away from each other to look in each other's eyes, he solemnly promised, "Whoever did this will pay!"

The brothers returned to the room after hearing things had calmed down and it was safe to enter. "What does the letter say?" Klaus asked Bonnie as Kol handed him a tumbler of bourbon, slapping his back, then squeezing his shoulder, showing his support.

"Joy turned to sorrow, the three become one, transformed into the father, that which can't be undone, once the seal is broken the spell has begun. Give back what's been taken, a love once forsaken, turn back the hands of time or this curse will not rewind." Bonnie finished reading the letter then stretching out her hand for Klaus to take it.

"What the bloody hell does that mean?" Kol exclaimed.

"It means this is the doing of a witch." Bonnie answered. Standing, she continued, "We have to get to the kids before they hurt themselves or some innocent bystander. I spelled them with a tracking spell so finding them should be easy."

"We need to find out who did this," Klaus hissed, throwing the letter on his desk, greatly perturbed and ill at ease.

"First, we have to get to the kids, they are scared and very dangerous and enchanted by magic. We need to get them back home." Bonnie insisted as she was thinking about what they needed to do.

"And how do we get them home? They are in one fucking body, a body with fangs and claws, all of which are new to them. They may not be able to control themselves or their urges. I mean they are four year olds." Kol for once made sense and had a valid point.

"It's late but there are certainly going to be people on the street. We need to send out a few vamps to patrol and report back anything." Klaus decided.

Elijah took out his phone, " I will go and start getting that taken care of as well as emphasising the importance of discretion." He walked out the room to complete his self appointed task.

"Kol, I know it's late and Davina doesn't feel well, but please call her and ask her if she knows of any spells that we could use to counter this one or if she has ever heard of or knows of the spell that was used." Bonnie asked, sadly looking at him. He nodded, "I'm on it, sis." He said as he too walked out the room.

Once they were alone Klaus looked to Bonnie, rage upon his face, "You know who did this. That bastard did this to our children, that fucking twat..."

"Klaus," she said, putting a hand on his chest, " We can't be-"

"The fuck we can't, Bonnie," he interrupted her. "The cryptic letter, the smell of a sweet flower, the curse itself. Don't fucking pretend you didn't put it together." He hissed while moving away from her.

"Niklaus," she called sternly, only using his full name when she was agitated with him, "He wouldn't do something like this. He would never and…"

"Bullshit Bonnie...he would, to get to me. To show you what a mistake you made, being with me, marrying me...having children with me! Don't be so fucking naive." He interrupted her again, fuming as he paced, mumbling almost incoherently a mantra to himself, "Bastard...I will...I will Kill him...I will kill him... . !"

"Niklaus...Nik...you are wrong." She said lowering her voice and softening her tone. "I won't stand here arguing with you when our children need us. They need us on the same page and working together. Later we can argue over this. Right now I'm going to-" A knock on the door stopped Bonnie from finishing. "Come in," she said annoyed. Walked in Davina, carrying a grimoire.

"Kol called me, told me what happened. I teleported here as fast as I could. I brought some magical chains as a way to subdue the kids without harming them and I brought this old grimoire that I found. It once belonged to my grandmother. I hope it helps." She said sadly as she sniffled and wiped her nose.

Bonnie walked over to her, hugging her, "Thank you so much." She looked at Klaus as she was hugging Davina, giving him a look as if to say their discussion wasn't over.
