Next chapter! I hope you guys enjoy this chapter as much as I do. As you can probably tell, this is from Finnick's POV. I've never actually written from his POV before, so you guys will have to let me know if I did a good job. The writing style would've been very different if it had been based during Catching Fire, but this is at the beginning of Mockingjay where Finnick is just fighting to stay together, so keep that in mind.

So I got this from another story I read, but it sounds like it'd be a lot of fun just to share and answer your reviews!

Pianogirl111- I really like this story! Please, please PLEASE continue it!

Aww, I'm so glad you like it! I hope you like this chapter too! :)

nandy7781- Interesting. So is she going to forget about Peeta? Is she going to see him as a threat?

That is a really good idea! Honestly, you know just as well as I do what's going to happen. I have a little bit of future story line planned out, but not much so this could very well happen, but you'll just have to wait and see!

NightlockisMyPoison- This idea sounds super interesting-nothing I've ever read before! Please keep writing I'd love to see where this goes!

It's nothing I've ever read before either. I just came up with the idea sitting at home, so I'm so glad you think it's a good idea!

Alright, let's get on with the story!

My name is Finnick Odair. I'm twenty- four years old. I'm from District 4. I was in two Hunger Games. I survived both. I'm in District 13 now. Annie is in the Capitol. I had to stay together for her. I can't afford to fall apart.

I tie knot after knot after knot. Though my fingers were heavily callused after years of working with ropes, this particular coarse rope tears my skin from tying knots for hours on end. I haven't put down my rope in days. Its the only thing keeping me together.

Mrs. Everdeen tries to understand where I was coming from to help me heal, but its too painful to recount, and she will never fully understand… there's only one person in 13 who would understand and that's Katniss… but she's in a worse state than I am. She's in no condition to help anyone, especially not me. If Mrs. Everdeen really wants me to heal, she needs to somehow get me to water so I can swim. That always helps me.

Mrs. Everdeen is doing her rounds, but pauses no I as we heard quick footsteps coming towards the room. A moment later, Prim rushes through the door and runs up to her mother. Her big blue eyes are filled with tears. She pants heavily as though she had run here, which, she probably had.

Prim falls on her knees, burying her face in her mother's dress. "It's K- k- Katniss…" she sobs.

Mrs. Everdeen claps a hand over her mouth as she gasps. "What's happened to her? Is she alright?"

But before Prim could respond, Gale walks through the opened door holding Katniss's limp body. I stop tying knots and stand up. Mrs. Everdeen and Prim let out almost identical cries, but both got to work nonetheless.

With a grunt, Gale sets down Katniss on one of the cots. Her dark hair falls like a curtain in front of her face, and one of her arms falls helplessly off the side of the cot. Gale seems to be observing her as well, but a second later he too went to get supplies.

I move down a few cots until I sit next to her, and let out a break I had been holding in when I saw her chest rise and fall. She wasn't dead, at least. If only I knew if that was the same for Annie…

I push the thought out of my brain. I had to keep telling myself that she was fine. Then my fingers found their way back to the rope and I was tying knots again.

Mrs. Everdeen returns and started checking Katniss to make sure she was alright. Prim, right at her side gently moves Katniss's hair out of her face.

Mrs. Everdeen and Prim gasp. "What is it?" Gale and I ask together. I'm surprised to find my voice rough. I haven't talked much since Haymitch and Plutarch had saved Katniss and I from the arena. Not since we'd found out Peeta and Annie and Johanna were in the Capitol.

I move around to the other side of the cot. Prim had pulled back a long lock of hair, and just past Katniss's temple was a deep, dirtied wound that was bleeding profusely. Dried blood coated the entire side of her head. I felt so… helpless. I had done this same thing countless times in the games and training for the games, hadn't I? I wanted to help her, I wanted to make sure she was okay, I didn't want to just sit here, I wanted to do something.

I surprised myself as I laid a hand on Mrs. Everdeen's shoulder and asking if there was anything I could do to help. She must've seen the desperation in my eyes, because right after she looks at me she tells Prim to go get some more clean bandages, and she waves at me to take Prim's spot.

She hands me a rag. "Start gently patting the area of the wound. We want all that dried blood and dirt off before we bandage it." I nod and start patting the wound. Katniss and I had had good times together, we had. I chuckl softly as I remembered handing her a sugar cube when we met… and waking up Peeta together…

But of course all those good memories had to be replaced with bad ones. I drop the rag and rub the heels of my hands hard over my eyes, trying to get rid of the images, but I still caught a glimpse of Johanna running towards us covered in blood rain… Wiress's dead body floating on the water… Mags running into the poisoned fog…

I was finally able to pull myself back to the present. My entire body was shaking and I was gripping the side of Katniss's cot so he's my knuckles had gone white. But nobody was looking at me. They were all looking at Coin, who must've arrived when I was having my panic attack.

"What did you do to the Mockingjay?" She hisses at Gale.

He takes a step towards her. "I didn't do anything to her." Gale says coldly. "We were going hunting, she was with me, I looked around and she was gone. Then she screams, I run to try to find her, and she's laying there, unconscious. Does that sound like I had any part in harming her?"

I've never seen Coin so mad. Her cheeks are flushed red with anger, and her straight gray hair is covered in frizzy flyaways. She stomps her feet, eyes wild as she replies, "It was your job to protect her!"

Gale's jaw is set. For a moment he looks like he's going to hit her, but wisely he turns around and walks out of the room, slamming the door in the process.

Coin acts as though she didn't notice. She points a finger at Katniss, as though she would be able to hear her. "We had a deal. We would save the boy if she was our Mockingjay, but now she's gone and gotten herself hurt-"

"Katniss would never just 'go and get herself hurt'. She isn't clumsy. She would never accidentally fall over, and if someone was coming she would've heard it. The only explanation is that someone- or something hit her at a really fast speed and knocked her over." I interrupted.

"It doesn't matter how she hurt herself. The fact is, if she's unable to be Mockingjay then our conditions fall through. We aren't saving the boy."

I walked over to her. "Do you think she wanted to be Mockingjay? She had just been through two Hunger Games, where she was forced to kill people, and other people, her friends died right before her eyes. Then the one person who understood her and what she was going through was taken by the enemy. You have no right to accuse her after all she's been through! You will save Peeta and Annie and bring them back from the Capitol, and if you don't, I swear I will kill you."

Instead of looking scared like I had hoped she would, Coin walked up close to me and said quietly, "Your very different in real life than you are on the television, Mr. Odair." And she stalked out the door behind Gale, leaving me standing there gaping.

Next chapter done! What did you think? Any thoughts on this chapter? Did you like the POV better from Katniss or Finnick? I'm planning on writing each chapter from the best point of view that suits the chapter, so be prepared to be seeing a lot of different POVs :). See you next chapter!
