Levi grasped at Eren's rough hands as Eren ran through the abandon fields inside wall Maria. The titans behind him were persistent and kept hot on his heels. Trees and crumbling villages whizzed past Eren as he tried to shake them but they were glued on their target.

Ahead was an abandoned village with scattered houses. Eren knew his stamina wouldn't last forever and he had no idea what kind of state the Captain was in. He quickened his pace, pushing forward to give him some time to figure something out. He spotted a husk of a house with a wooden frame on the outskirts of the village. As he approached it, Eren carefully opened his hands to see the groaning Levi. He was grasping at his leg and breathing hard. Eren carefully knelt next the house and set Levi's fragile body against the wooden wall. Levi winced and swore as he was placed, trying to keep his leg from moving with shaky breaths.

With one last look to make sure Levi was stable, Eren turned to the direction of the on coming titans, them now breaching the village. The ground shook as he sprinted for them, desperate to steer them away from the village. He ran for them head on when an earth shattering roar erupted from behind them. The titans skidded to a halt before turning down the path they came, seemingly forgetting about Eren. Eren stood his ground, weary they'd come back, or worse, come back with reinforcements.

Several minuets went by without a sound. Eren sighed and turned back to where Levi lay. He lowered his titan form to the ground and with a gust of smoke, pulled himself free from the muscle that held him in place. He clambered down the giant body, trying to keep his balance as somehow he still had his backpack.

Captain!' He yelled, now human and running towards the Captain. Levi grunted and tried to push himself up but barely getting up an inch. 'Here, Captain, don't move.' Eren slung off his backpack and approached him. He slid his arm around his small frame and pulled Levi's arm around his shoulders. With a yank he struggled to pull him from the ground. Levi tried to lean on his better leg but instead it gave out, causing him almost knock over Eren. They wobbled into the empty house, finding a bed at the far end of the bare room.

Eren practically dragged him across, Levi grunting and groaning the whole way across the room. 'You couldn't have been more careful? Gah, You probably broke my leg again the way you were carrying me.' He grunted. 'I-I'm sorry Captain-.' Guilt panged through Eren. He was supposed to rescue Levi, not hurt him all over again! Eren slowly released him onto the pathetic looking bed. He willed himself to focus, he had to see where Levi was hurt. Levi's right leg was swollen and bulging through his white trousers. 'Captain, you're leg!' He said in alarm, kneeling down to try to help but realising he had no idea what to do.

'No shit brat. Ugh- Eren get, get the bandages from your p-pack and go get two straight sticks.' Levi breathed, clutching his leg and wincing in pain. 'Wha-' Eren could barely register what he was being ordered, being in shock almost as much as Levi was. 'Just go do it!' Levi snapped. Eren scuttled along the floor with a jolt and rushed out the doorway. He grappled for his backpack, searching its contents for the bandages. Once he had found the white spool, he turned his attention to the surrounding ground.

He returned with two semi- straight sticks and fell to the floor before Levi. 'I-I'm sorry they were all i could f-' 'It's fine,' Levi interrupted, 'j-just put them either side my leg and ugh, and wrap the bandage around.' Eren did as he was told, placing them as carefully as he could but ultimately fumbling. 'Hey, watch it!' With an apology, Eren sufficiently wrapped Levi's leg. 'This will do for now. Now Eren, transform so we can get out of here. And try not to bounce so much, I'd rather both my legs stayed in tact.' 'Right!' Eren breathed. Despite his answer, Eren stayed planted to the floor. 'What are you doing, help me up, let's get out of here!' Levi asked frustrated.

'I'm sorry' he mumbled, shaking himself to the present. He once more wrapped his arms around Levi, lifting him off the bed as carefully as he could. With a groan, they made their way to the door way. 'Careful, careful. Ugh, hey watch the leg!' Eren slid him onto the grass with a sigh. He turned for his backpack which lay alone next to the house and gave it to Levi to hold. He then strode into the clearing, making sure to have enough room that he wouldn't hurt Levi or destroy anything. He teeth sank into his hand.

'Well?' Levi chirped. The wind blew quietly through the trees. Eren just looked at the ground, hand still in mouth. His eyes widened when he was indeed, still human and had no titan. He bit his hand, think through it Eren! He screamed at himself. Think it through, you turn into a titan and are going to carry Levi out, you turn into a titan, pick him up and run. Two, three more bites, still no titan. 'Oh, this is just wonderful' Levi groaned.
