"A lab?" Panda asked. Not one of the bears could figure out what she was talking about. They had assumed she was a normal bear. Could they be wrong?
Maggie nodded. "A dark, cruel place."
"Ice bear can not wrap his head around young cub's backstory." Ice bear said.
"You want to hear my backstory?" The cub asked surprised.
"Sure." Grizz said. "I mean, are you alright?"
"I don't know." She said. "The only things I remember are the flashing lights, the scientists, and the liquid.
"Liquid?" Panda asked confused. Maggie just nodded and started picking at her food again.
"Ice bear is confused." Ice bear chimed in.
"I was floating in a tank with a teel liquid in it." She started. "I didn't know what was happening. I suddenly opened my eyes and a few seconds later, all the scientists were running around yelling, "She's awake!".
"So were you like, some sort of experiment?" Grizz asked. He was worrying for the cub now.
"I don't know." She said. "The next thing I know, they're shoving tubes down my throat and shining lights in my eyes."
"Then they took me to a white room, and gave me a shot that put me to sleep." She said.
"Ice bear is questioning the scientists actions." Ice bear said.
"When I woke up, I found this piece of paper in my hand." Maggie said.
She lifted up a small piece of paper with the words, Margaret, subject 1.
"Ice bear senses evil." Ice bear said.
"Well, whatever you are, you're safe now." Grizz said, hugging the cub.
"Ice bear thinks Maggie should get some rest." Ice bear said.
"Good idea bro." Grizz said. "Come with me mags."
She took his hand as he led her to his room, chuckling at the nickname he had given her.
She woke up at about 1:00 in the morning.
She shot straight up, not remembering where she was. But as the realization hit her she settled back down.
It took her about three seconds to become thirsty though. So she got out of Grizz's bed, and made her way to the kitchen for a cup of water.
After she got her drink, she started shuffling back towards Grizz's room, as to not wake anyone up.
When she felt a cold hand on her shoulder.
As if instinct, she grabbed the hand, twisted it, and sent whoever it was to the ground.
Before she could register what had happened, she heard a low moan coming from the person on the ground.
She ran her paw against the wall to find the lightswitch, and flicked it on.
On the ground was Ice bear. Moaning in pain. Gripping his paw.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" She apologized frantically.
"Ice bear...is okay." Ice bear said, slowly rising to his feet.
"I didn't know it was you." She said, helping him up. "I didn't even know I could do that."
"How did cub get so strong?" Ice bear asked, still rubbing his paw.
"I-I don't know." She said. She had never done anything like this before. How could she?
"Ice bear heard footsteps from fridge. Wanted to make sure Maggie was alright." He said.
"Well, sorry again." She said. "I guess you just surprised me."
"Ice bear is not hurt. Cub can go back to sleep." He said.
After one more quick glance, she walked out of the kitchen, and went back to Grizz's room.
