For Magnetite, suddenly waking up to not even being human in a lab with researchers was crazy

At least no one tried to kill her yet

The researchers put Magnetite on a flat...metal bed, so that they could examine her

And throughout the process Magnetite haf the urge to ask something...and she did

"So...can I ask you a question?" Asked Magnetite with a weak smile

"Go ahead" asked the green researcher

"Um...What am I? Where am I? Who am I? And who is white diamond? It feels familiar" Asked Magnetite keeping a weak smile on

"Oh come on! After all this time a Magnetite finally emerges and she's faulty!" Yelled the green researcher in frustration "ugh , at least they're memory related problems, we can fix this issue, ok listen to me as I'm about to give you a quick briefing on everything you need to know"

"Ok" Said Magnetite curiously

"Firstly you are a gem like me and everyone on this planet, we are a race superior to any other, our physical forms can be destroyed and we can still regenerate fully, that's unless your gem is what took the damage, if it breaks , you die" said the green researcher proudly

Magnetite shivered at the last bit before looking at the pitch black gem at her navel

"Where you are is home world , the...well "homeworld" of gems" said the green researcher with a hand on her chin

"Huh? Pretty straight forward" replied Magnetite

"For the next question , you're a magnetite..or the Magnetite since you're the only one who managed to emerge" said the green researcher rubbing her temples "anyway , you were created to be the perfect servant/soldier for the great and lusterous white diamond"

"Wait, soldier?" Asked Magnetite nervously "as in a person who fight in wars"

"Yes, that's what a soldier is" said the researcher bluntly "though I don't know how you're supposed to be the perfect soldier, you must have something great if white diamond says so"

"Ok who's white diamond? It's so familiar to hear" said Magnetite brushing the soldier thing under the rug for now "and what should I call you? I can't keep thinking of you as green researcher"

"Peridot" said Peridot bluntly

(This isn't the show's peridot, it's one of the old Peridots that didn't need limb enhancers)

"Ok Peridot, who's white diamond?" Asked Magnetite curiously

"White diamond is one of the 4 absolute leaders of our race like yellow diamond, blue diamond and pink diamond" said Peridot "each gem belongs to one of their courts, you belong to white diamond's court and you are to follow her orders without question or hesitation or else you might be shattered, don't forget, always to refer to her as "my diamond" nothing else"

Magnetite nodded as she was scanned like printer scanning paper

"You can get up now" said Peridot as she looked at a holographic screen "the tests are done"

Magnetite desperately wanted to ask about the cool hologram of a screen but saved it for later when she heard Peridot talking

"you'll be meeting white diamond shortly" said Peridot with a Serious tone "be on your best behavior"

Then a black, white and gray gem walked into the room

(Not volleyball)

"My diamond requests the presence of magnetite immediately" said the gem robotically

Magnetite stood still for a 2 seconds before Peridot gave elbowed her with a nervous smile

"Ah! Yes! Uhm...how do i_" said Magnetite nervously before the gem walked towards her

Then the two were encased in a white bubble that flew to white diamond's location

Magnetite didn't know what to expect from this white diamond

But never could she have imagined the actual white diamond, a gigantic lady with fingernails bigger than her torso

Safe to say , she was as stiff as a brick

"So, you're the magnetite who emerged ,how peculiar" said White smiling

"Y-yes my diamond" said Magnetite with a nervous smile

"You came out faulty as well" said White nonchalantly, making Magnetite's non-existent heart sink "oh don't worry, a small refresher should get you on track"

Magnetite gulped some non-existent saliva after hearing that

Then a white bubble like the one she arrived in approached Magnetite

It opened itself revealing...gems

Gems whose physical body was destroyed, magnetite realized this as she felt the same pull she had to gems who had a body

Magnetite stared at the gems for a while silently

"What are you waiting for?" Said White smiling "pick one"

For some reason, Magnetite felt compelled to follow that order, not out of fear but out of instinct

She picked up an orange gem out of the bunch in front of her

"Now absorb it" said White nonchalantly

"What?" Asked Magnetite on instinct before covering her mouth quickly "i-i_"

"Don't worry, you'll know what to do" said White calmly

And magnetite did

Magnetite put the gem against her own gem feeling the pull from it

And as she did , she felt an itch in gem , an irresistible itch

Responding to the itch on instinct, she opened her gem

Each triangle of the 4 that made up the face of the octahedron opened like flaps, revealing a shiny black gem , almost gray, opposite to the dull pitch black shell that covered it

Magnetite freezed for a moment to think about what she's doing

Her mind split into 5 , each part saying something different

Her human part was telling her "this is wrong"

Her gem was telling her "serve your diamond"

A dark part of her told her "they'll be delicious to absorb like the glowing orbs"

Her survival instinct told her "don't anger the lady whose finger nails alone are bigger than her torso"

Reason agreeing with the one before it told her "anything she could do to you, she could do to them, they're dead regardless"

It was 4 to 1

And she inserted the gem inside her gem

And it was both delightful and terrifying for her

The gem was indeed delicious to her, extremely so, terrifyingly so

And worst of all , she could feel the gem struggling against her gem, squirming throughout her stomach, but it got weaker and weaker and soon died out

"Wonderful, you should be able to use some of that gem's powers now, unfortunately you won't be able to use all of it currently" said White nonchalantly "we'll have to test it after you finish the rest"

Magnetite finished absorbing every gem White gave her

It was the best and the worst feeling for Magnetite
