Been a while huh? Well, Genshin Impact and other Gacha game took all my time and passion so I didn't even want to write anything for a bit of time but I decided it was time to work again on these things I've left undone. Don't expect fast updates but I WILL update them
It was now night time in Kyoto and Saki had to return to the dormitory with the other girls from her class group. She was not particularly fond of being in the center of attention. They decided to play some ridiculous girl games, like some pillow fights, truth or dare and talking about fashion. Kawasaki decided not to partake in any of these nonsenses, instead she decided to reviews her lessons. What she did not know is that the girls weren't afraid of her in this particular day trip.
"Hey Kawasaki-san, are you seriously working? Like that's so lame, you should enjoy yourself like us!"
"Yes, join us. We will have fun come on!"
"No... I'd rather not, leave me be."
"T-t-t."
The ticking tongue of this familiar voice gave her a chill.
"SakiSaki, you don't have a choice tonight!"
"Wuah!"
Ebina jumped on her and managed to hold her in place, the fujoshi was stronger than she looked like.
"Girls! Operation General Kawasaki!"
"Roger!"
Two girls brought the tunic bought by Ebina earlier that day. They had stars in their eyes. Nothing good would come out of their mischievious attitude.
After a fierce battle, the great Kawasaki had been defeated and was now standing there with a smile full of madness plastered on her face. Veins could be seen on her forehead due to how angry she was.
Saki was wearing the long light blue and white tunic. It was like something resembling the tunic of Gintama's Shogun. They also made her wear a headband and removed her scrunchie meaning that her hair were now floating freely on her back and shoulders.
"Woah! I KNEW IT. Shogun SakiSaki is the thing! I wouldn't mind going into the Yuri route..." Said Hina almost bleeding from her nose.
"E.B.I.N.A... Do you have any last wish?"
"Eh?" Hina finally saw the incoming shadow of death toward her and started sweating.
"Ebina that's enough already, calm down." Said a bossy voice while a firm grip was felt on her right shoulder.
"Y-Yumiko! You startled me he he..."
"Seriously you're such a handful." She then looked at Yumiko with a perplexed look.
"Why are you looking at me like that blondie?" She said glaring at the Fire Queen.
"Hah?! Why are you getting worked up like this? I haven't said a single word yet!"
"Tch... You're right but I have a hunch it won't please me." She couldn't retort.
Miura crossed her arms and glared at Kawasaki while everyone felt a cold chill and made steps back before they all went to their own activities not butting into the affairs of the queen. After a while Yumiko approached Saki who didn't budge from her position. She roamed around her and took a good look at her from every possible angle.
Suddenly she touches the delinquent arms and then legs before passing her hands through the flustered girl's long silky hair.
"W-What's the big idea there?!" She said moving away from the blond who smirked and had an annoyed look.
"Tchh nothing, just that you surprisingly have a good body for you and it annoys me! And what with this hair of yours?! It's so silky! What kind of shampoo are you using, tell me!"
"I- I..."
Saki had pink cheeks and like that she was interrogated by Miura for a while and they kept butting head here and there. It was strange. Both of them couldn't bear the other and yet there was this aggressive closeness between them.
Saki had removed her tunic and headband, she was now slumped onto her futon. She was sharing her room with Ebina unexpectedly.
"So, how does it feel to have a girls night SakiSaki?"
"I'm not used to this and I don't think I like it. But... I guess it's not so bad once in a while..." She sighed.
"I see! Well I'm not that much of a social girl either you know? With my antics I like to just stay in this little circle of mine to have a bit of fun."
"Speaking of which Ebina. Why are you staying with those guys? It's not like you have a lot in common with them. Look at Miura."
"Please don't talk bad about her SakiSaki, she really is a nice person when you learn to know her. Sure she is really hard to get close with but once she lets you in she is really a nice friend you know?"
"Hmm? If you say so. I can't stand her."
"That's because you're similar and yet opposite."
"What about the guys then? Tobe is really loud and annoying. He acted like I was some monster on the train. It's rude."
"Ah Tobecchi... He's a good friend, an airhead and does not know how to read the mood but that's what makes him friendly, he doesn't hide anything. But..." Said Ebina having an aggravated expression for once.
"Is something wrong?" Asked Saki worried.
"I don't think it will be like this for much longer. Tobe will confess to me."
"Say what?!"
"Yes. I don't want him to do that. It will destroy the balance of our bonds and I won't be able to have fun anymore. I prefer to destroy everything than give in to something I don't feel like doing."
"Can you not like ask Hayama to tell him off, or Miura?"
"I tried asking Hayato and there's nothing he can do, Tobe is set on it, as for Yumiko, she knows that I don't want to be bothered by boys and I don't want her to choose between the group and me."
"So what now?"
"I asked Hikigaya-kun indirectly, and I think he understood the meaning of my words."
"What do you think this creep will do then?"
"I don't know but he's the only one I trust to do something about it that will benefit everyone..."
"Looks tough. Say, you keep bothering me with Hikigaya but you, do you have anyone you like or feel like you can come to like."
"Surprising question from you SakiSaki but well... Not really, there really is no one I feel close enough with. I like myself how I am and I hate myself how I am." She said with a big smile.
"Heh. Rotten girl." Said Kawasaki before heading out of their room to get something to drink.
What Ebina said kept repeating inside Kawasaki's head. This girl was the only person close enough to be called a friend and even though she was a real headache by simply existing, Saki learned to care about her. She kept thinking again and again about what would occur sooner or later and what Hikigaya would do. This was the one thing that made her restless. What was he going to do? She knew he was capable of anything if it meant achieving what he was tasked to do. She thought about the worst thing he could do at that moment, and she laughed to herself, shrugging it off in the depth of her mind.
"As if he could do something like this." She said while walking in the direction of the main room where the girls bothered her.
After getting a soda from the vending machine, Saki saw a lone figure by the window. She was looking sadly at the moon. It was Miura and she looked depressed. Not that Kawasaki really cared much about that, but she tried to be friendlier to her since Ebina held her dear to an extent.
"What's up with that face?"
"Hah? Leave me alone... I have things to think about."
"You? Thinking? That's a first in my book."
"You're picking a fight with me?!"
"Scared about your clique? Ebina told me."
This rendered Yumiko silent and she looked at the ground before sighing and looking back outdoor.
"Yeah... I hope Hayato will do something about it like Hikio said at the convenience store."
"I see..."
This idiot bumped into this savage cat and defused the whole situation by making Blondie the possible saver of the whole clique. This guy... She thought.
"Well there's not much I can do or say. Good luck I guess."
Just when she said those word, Saki caught a glimpse of a figure going out silently behind her. Surprised, she turned around and saw Ebina leaving the hotel like she was a lifeless doll.
"Don't tell me..." Started Saki.
"I guess she got called out by Tobe. It's starting..."
Kawasaki pondered a few seconds about what to do and decided to follow her friend.
"I'll go."
"Eh?"
"I can't let her be by herself when I know she's going through with this." She said before going sneakily after Hina.
Yumiko who was not in her uniform anymore just watched the blue haired girl go after Ebina like she grew another head but then sighed.
"What's even the point of doing this seriously." Said Yumiko.
Saki tailed Hina for a short time before arriving at the designated location. It was a romantic alleyway full of lamps and bamboos. The atmosphere was really nice for a confession, but there was a heaviness in the air. It was tense.
Hiding herself behind a wall, Kawasaki watched Ebina now facing Tobe Kakeru. The boy was on edge. It seemed like he was ready to go all out for this one. On the other hand, Saki had never seen Hina like this. If corpses could walk then, she would be the perfect model. It was an incoming rejection as she said in their room sooner. She will destroy everything herself.
Saki was not sure what to do. She was her first friend since long ago. She was a pain. She was a fujoshi. She's rotten. She's perverted. She's manipulative. She's bothersome. She is everything that makes someone unbearable and yet she was her honest friend who talked to her and stuck with her even after rejecting her harshly multiple times.
"Uh..."
"Yeah?"
"I, uh... Er..."
Hikigaya did not manage to keep him from confessing. This time I'll be the one to take the fall! Thought Kawasaki going in a rush in Tobe's direction.
"The thing is... I... I..."
Saki clenched her teeth and walked fast with her head down, resolved to do one of the most embarrassing things ever. Ebina however resolved herself to what was going to happen really soon. It was the end for her and her carefree life.
"I..." yelled Tobe before getting interrupted by someone who came running beside him and cut him short.
"I've liked you for a long time! Please go out with me!" Said two distinct voices at the same time, word for word.
Ebina was flabbergasted and so was Tobe. Two persons intervened at the same time with the same idea with the exact same choice of words.
Silence fell, everyone was too surprised to say anything. Kawasaki, who was as red as a tomato even in the hue of the lamps at night, decided to face who she thought was Tobe and came face to face with Hikigaya Hachiman who was speechless and had frozen on the spot.
"Heh?"
"Heh?"
"Hiki...gaya?"
"Kawa... saki?"
"Why are you here? What the hell just happened? I thought I confessed to Tobe to sabotage the whole thing so what are you... heh?... HEH?!" Started yelling a confused Saki losing her mind with what she just blurted out at the boy she liked.
"C-Calm down please. This isn't what I planned at all! This is getting messed up what the hell! Anyway, it's not like you meant it right?"
Saki just looked at Hachiman, she tried to speak but she was at a loss of word. This nonsense was too much for her to handle. Kawasaki turned around and started to sprint in the opposite direction, fleeing the whole scene.
Ebina had a smug look watching Saki go. Tobe was just confused. Hayama and the goons forced a laugh at what just happened and decided not to say anything about what occurred. Yukinoshita and Yuigahama, who also watched and heard the whole scene were surprised too. What happened was just so unreal that they couldn't even be mad at Hikigaya for his stunt. The latter didn't know what to do anymore and scratched his hair.
Kawasaki rushed inside the hotel and decided to catch her breath. She was still a red mess and flustered to no end. Yumiko, who was still laying on the chair, watched her with a puzzled look.
"What's wrong with you, weren't you supposed to follow Ebina? What happened?" She worriedly asked at the state the blue haired girl was rendered to.
Caught red-handed, she could only look at the blonde girl who looked worried and try to answer her to the best of her mental capability.
"N-N-Nothing happened! N-No confession, no issue. Y-Your clique is fine now I'll go to bed I'm tired!" She said running once again to her room, leaving Yumiko troubled.
Reaching her room, Saki laid herself on her futon and put her arm on her eyes and forehead trying to cool herself.
"Hikigaya you idiot! What the hell am I supposed to do now when our eyes cross path?! What's with this stunt?! Ah!"
Saki took a pillow and held it hard against her chest and started to calm down.
"He wasn't even fazed that much... He even said that I didn't mean it... Even if I said I meant it when I saw it was him then what? He doesn't see me as a possibility anyway... Why should I even try?" She said lamenting herself.
Tired from this rush of emotions she had never felt for a long time, Saki soon fell asleep in her uniform. What she did not know was that her words had more impact that she thought. Not only on Hikigaya but on every girl at the event.
