Chapter Two: Dragonne

Marinette found herself sobbing next to a alleyway. "Are you okay, Mistress Marinette?" Longg asked the girl.

"I want to go home," Marinette said, wiping her tears away. "I want to go back to Paris!"

"I know you do, mistress, but you know what Crimson said, you need a break, and Su-Han agrees," Longg said.

"Yes, I know that. I just- it's difficult. I think I should at least do something that I can handle," Marinette said. "Longg, bring the storm." The unenergetic transformation finished and Marinette leapt away. She sat on a building she found- she was pretty sure it was the Stark Tower. She didn't want to check though.

"Hey, this is my pouting spot," a boy's voice said.

"Oh- uh, sorry!" Marinette said. "I'm La- I mean, Dragonne. You are?"

"I'm Spiderman, nice to meet you Dragonne," the boy said.

"Spiderman, huh. I'm a big fan," Dragonne said.

"Well, thanks. I have someone living in my house who isn't a big fan of me," Spiderman sighed. "She thinks I'm an idiot."

"I'm sure she doesn't think that," Dragonne soothed.

"She hates me," Spiderman said. "That's why I came here. To see if I could get some air and see what to do."

"Funny, that's what I came here to do. I was forced to come to New York, and now I'm missing home," Dragonne said, putting her chin in her hands.

Spiderman put his head up. "Duck." Dragonne did so, and Spiderman looked carefully down. "There's a bank across from here- and I think there is someone there."

"You think? I'll go check," Dragonne said, standing up.

"They'll see you!" Spiderman said.

"Can you see wind?" Dragonne asked him.

"No, why?" Spiderman asked.

"Wind dragon!" Dragonne shouted and a burst of wind went past him and Dragonne appeared in the building, hiding from view.

"Amazing," Spiderman whispered. "Too bad I can't tell Marinette I'm Spiderman, not like she'd believe me though."

Dragonne felt a rush of adrenaline. Finally, something she could do something that felt like home. "Hey, this bank isn't yours, you know." Three guys froze seeing the girl, they wore black masks.

"And this isn't your fight, little girl," a man snarled.

Dragonne raised an eyebrow. "Did you just call me a little girl?"

"Yeah," the man snarled.

"You're going to regret that," Dragonne said, she kicked him in the stomach and flipped him. "Who's little now?"

"Looks like you got 'em," Spiderman said, swinging in on his webs like Dragonne used to do as Ladybug and her heart ached for home.

"I could use a little help, there are two more of them," Dragonne said, after Spiderman used his webs to stick the one man to the wall. Together, fighting in unison, they got the other two who were skilled fighters against the walls with their friend.

"Well, see you later, hopefully not," Spiderman said to the three. The cops had just arrived, and the videoed Dragonne fighting away.

Marinette looked at her phone. It said, "A New Superhero- or Spiderman's Girlfriend?" Of course she got herself into this mess. Being Dragonne was a silly mistake. Then her phone rang.

"Hey, Marinette," Crimson's voice came.

"Hello, Crim," Marinette replied.

"I- I got you an apartment. I'll send you the address. You can move as soon as you want, I've already talked to May," Crimson said.

"Thank you. And goodbye," Marinette said, hanging up the phone. She left the house without saying anything, and used Google to lead her to her apartment. She got in as fast as she could and landed on a small bed in the apartment. "Hallelujah."
