As my eyes fluttered open, I saw five people standing around me and speaking to each other about me. Strangely, two of them didn't show the slightest bit of fear considering how strange I must've looked. I soon noticed that my clothes were different, which disturbed me a little because I didn't recall changing. The longer they spoke of me, the less I felt at ease. I couldn't quite make out what they were saying about me, for I was still rather disoriented. Thankfully, Brielle broke the silence through telepathy.

"Cecil?"

"Thank goodness you spoke! I have many questions..." I replied nervously.

"About the clothes, I changed your clothes with magic so you would blend in more." Brielle explained much to my relief.

"Gods, I thought someone...well..."

Before I could finish that thought, I heard a little girl who couldn't have been anymore than twelve years of age start cursing and telling off an older man like Kain when a Dragoon royally messes up a job because he asked her if they should just leave me. Her words were so vulgar it took me a moment to process what she said. Gods forbid if Rosa heard her. I have never heard her curse as is, and I could never imagine how she'd react to hearing that girl just now.

After her little rant was over, she asked, "Also, is anyone gonna worry about the guy who's just looking at us like we're nuts?" Everyone then turned to me with expressions varying from curiosity to suspicion. To be quite honest, I feared their faces and the way they looked at me. I was never one who enjoyed being the center of attention, so situations like this make me queasy. Just as I was getting my bearings, a boy angrily walked over, pointed his finger accusingly at me.

"Who are you and where have you come from?" the boy yelled as he began to aggressively advance towards me. I began to internally panic as I had no clue what to tell him. The little girl rolled her eyes and said, "Yeah, that's gonna make him feel so secure and welcome." The boy turned to her and questioned hurriedly, "B-Bu-But, how are we gonna find out who this suspicious man is?" An older girl told him with clear annoyance in her voice, "I'm sure walking up to him like your gonna kill him is a great way to get him to wanna bail."

It was then the boy said, "He has to at least remember his name, idiot." That gave me inspiration to a great plan. Not only would I be able to get away with not knowing obvious information on this world, but I'd be able to keep hidden from Dark Kain. Even if that boy is a fool, I thank him for giving me a brilliant plan. The older girl asked, "What's your name, then?" I looked around anxiously and responded, "I really...don't remember." Everyone looked flabbergasted as I moved my act along. "I do not even remember anything prior to waking up here..." I continued giving my best impression of a scared and confused man with no memories of his past.

This caused the little girl to turn to the foolish boy and furiously shout, "Jerk, he didn't even remember anything about himself and you're over here acting like he's a war prisoner, crap sack!" This began to get heated, so I pretty much threw my hands up and, in a desperate attempt to defuse things, I stuttered, "I-It's okay! You didn't know." A much older man apologized for the argument and began to introduce the people to me.

"Allow me to introduce myself, I am Curt, a business man that runs the Esla Corporation here in Hillary." Curt was a tall man with spiky raven hair and an absurdly colored suit. He then went on to introduce the mother of those girls, Chelsea; the eldest daughter, Brenla; the middle daughter, Maddie; the crazy youngest daughter that's always cursing, Kayla; and the fool's name was James. The bad thing was I seemingly forgot my name. The family looked at each other like they were thinking. "The only problem is what do we call you if we can't get a name from you?" Curt questioned stroking his chin. I looked down to the floor and said, "I'm terribly sorry." "No no, It's not your fault." Chelsea reassured me.

I soon looked up to see that there was an open window on the ceiling. I scanned the room and deduced that I had fallen through the open window. That's when Kayla had an idea and eagerly brought it to light. "How about we give him a name until he gets his memories back?" Kayla chirped. Seems like I was going to be going under a different name until this mess was finally over. "Hmm...You don't mind do you?" Curt inquired turning in my direction. "I don't see any other option if I want to get around." I answered. Suddenly, that fool, James, chimed in again with his nonsense and yelled, "Wait, you can't be serious! He could be dangerous!" "We don't know that for sure, James." Maddie groaned slowly becoming more and more fed up with his foolishness. Kayla thankfully interrupted by calling out,

"Guys, I think I have a name." Everyone fell silent and turned to Kayla with intense expressions. "How about Ciel," Kayla said before going on to explain her choice, "It's a word meaning sky and considering he fell from the sky..." Brenla walked up to me and asked, "Is that okay with you?" It wasn't not like I had much of a choice considering my situation. "It's alright, any name is fine." I answered with a smile. "Okay! Ciel it is!" Kayla cheered. Chelsea then walked over and asked, "Would you like to stay with us until you get your memories back?" I then remembered that I had no place to go on that world, so Chelsea's offer was not one I could pass up. "It's probably my best chance here, so yes." I answered sounding not too confident in that moment. James seemed like he was about to object, but glares from Kayla and Maddie quickly caused him to refrain from doing so.

As I followed them out of what turned out to be a tower, the true situation began to sink in. Me and Rosa were on a world we knew nothing about, Dark Kain was on the loose with no means of stopping him at the moment, and the real Kain is missing. I will not even bother lying. It was terrifying thinking about how Rosa was all by herself save for Brielle. The fact that I had jumped in without any sort of plan was also nerve wracking. This was going to be a long journey...

Crap, I'm really in trouble now...

Kayla: Girl! You haven't written since November? Bruh!

Yeah Yeah, I know. But made it up to my fellow writers and readers by working on this chapter for four days. I hope you guys enjoy it and again, I'm really sorry for not being online.

Oh yeah, the Eslas strike again! You remember them from Not Over Yet, well now they're back as business peeps. They appear in various stories because they're mascots of sorts. So, you'll be seeing them probably only in my Final Fantasy stories.
