"A vampire, a werewolf, a doppelganger, and the moonstone." Drake spoke aloud as he rocked back and forth on the wooden chair.

"The world's weirdest shopping list." Katherine commented flipping a page on her magazine, "How are we going to go about acquiring them?"

"From what I understand they bested you by allying together. Vampires, hunters and a witch. You never really stood a chance." Drake smirked at his sister's glare, "But now we're going to make our own alliance."

Katherine gave him an intrigued look, "With who?"

"I can think of a couple of people who were wronged by the Salvatore brothers." He stated, "The only reason they haven't gone after them is because they don't know the wrongs done to them. From what I understand that there's a local werewolf who's uncle was killed by Damon or so you tell me."

"Tyler Lockwood? How's the puppy werewolf supposed to help?" She asked incredulously, "How are you sure that he'll even want to help us?"

Drake got up and walked up to the mini bar of their hotel room, "Because I have the one thing that all werewolves have wanted for centuries." He answered while pouring himself a glass of cheap champagne.

Katherine gave him a look of disbelief, "You've figured it out?"

"Five hundred years worth of experience with witchcraft has its perks." Drake shrugged, "Although I must say I am impressed with myself." He raised the glass to his lips.

"The werewolf won't be enough though." Katherine pointed out, "We are still outnumbered."

"Quality over quantity, Kat. Numbers aren't everything besides their numbers will dwindle soon enough." He promised before sitting across from Katherine.

"Divide and conquer?" Katherine suggested.

"Is there any other way?" Drake smirked.

Drake gave crowd a once over before he made his way towards the Booster Club Barbecue. Katherine told him that this town was very sociable when it comes to ridiculous gatherings like this. He just had to look for Tyler and approach him with the offer.

Walking through the crowd he felt a pulling feeling. He gasped and he quickly pulled on his gloves. He refrained from looking over his shoulder knowing full well who stood there. Entering the thick of the crowd he sparred a single glance over his shoulder to the young witch, Bonnie Bennet.

Breaking through the crowd and into the high school where he continued his search. Walking down the halls he explored the school. Turning a corner he spotted two more people he needed to avoid, Caroline Forbes and Matt Donovan. Backtracking he quickly dashed back to where he came from.

"Where the hell are you Tyler?" He wondered aloud before saw a single cheerleader lugging a garbage bag over her shoulder down the hall. A smirk grew on his face before he quickly moved down the hall and grabbed the girl by the shoulder and slamming her into the lockers. She tried to scream but Drake slammed his hand over her mouth. Locking eyes with her he spoke, "Stop screaming and struggling." He compelled and she obeyed. Releasing his grip on her mouth he continued to compel her, "Find Tyler Lockwood and bring him to. . ." His voice drifted off to a nearby door, "To that closet and shut the door behind him when he enters."

Wordlessly the girl walked away. Drake watched her leave before he approached the door. At first when he twisted the knob he found that it was locked but then he simply waved his hand and the lock clicked. Opening the door to the janitor's closet he swiftly stepped inside.

"And now the wait."

Katherine watched her target from inside Drake's car. Through the windows of thr Mystic Grill she watched the Alpha she-wolf, Jules, as she ate. Her brother made it abundantly clear that she had to return to the hotel but once she saw the woman entering the grill she immediately began to spy on the woman. With Mason dead and Jules in Mystic Falls it will only be a matter of time before the rest of her pack shows up.

"Drake's going to have a field day with this." She muttered pulling out her phone and swiftly began to text her brother.

'Bad news. Mason's alpha, Jules, is here.'

Sending thr text she looked back up at the werewolf finding Damon sitting across from her. Focusing her hearing she listened in on their conversation.

"How's your friend, Rose was it? Have the chills started, the unbearable pain?" Jules taunted the vampire.

"If there's a cure tell me or start watching your back." Damon threatened.

"Did I mention thr dementia?" The werewolf shot back, "It'll be eating away at her brain. Soon she'll be rapid. You want a cure? I'll tell you the only cure that exists. Take a stake and drive it through her heart." She taunted one last time before walking away.

Katherine's phone rang getting her attention away from the conversation. She quickly opened the phone and looked at her brother's reply.

'Tail her and make sure she stays away from Tyler. Don't kill her yet she could be useful. Remain unseen.'

Katherine smirked as she saw the werewolf walk down the street before she texted back.

'I overhead her convo with Damon. She already bit someone named Rose. Seemed real proud of it too.'

Drake almost immediately replied.

'If the Salvatores are waging a war against werewolves then we'll use that to our advantage.'

Katherine wonder how'd they do that before it clicked in her mind. She smirked before she started the car. Pulling out she made sure to put on her sunglasses so she can remain unseen.

Drake had just finished texting Katherine when he heard the doorknob turn. He sped behind the door as it was swung open. He remained silent as Tyler walked inside of the closet. As soon as he was far enough in the door swung closed.

Tyler quickly turned around to find Drake leaning against the door. He took a step back with a frightened look, "You're Tyler Lockwood, right? The local werewolf."

Tyler blinked in shock, "How do you know that? Who the hell are you?!" He demanded.

"You can call me Drake and the reason I know is because I'm a vampire and my sister was friends with your uncle." Drake explained gently as he pushing off the door.

"You know Mason?" Tyler asked getting a shrug in return, "Do you know where he is?"

Drake gave him a look of pity, "I'm sorry Tyler but your uncle is dead."

Tyler absorbed the information before shaking his head, "No."

"He was murdered by another vampire." Drake continued.

"Wait, stop." Tyler took another step back.

"Damon Salvatore killed him."

"Stop! You're lying." Tyler snapped, "There's only one vampire in Mystic Falls."

"Caroline Forbes? She lied to you, Tyler, to protect Damon and Stefan." Drake explained as he approached the teen, "Damon tortured Mason so he could find the moonstone and when he didn't get what he wanted he murdered your uncle."

Tyler froze at the mention of thr moonstone, "Why would Caroline lie for them?"

"Elena." The hybrid answered, "She cares about them so Caroline, Bonnie, Jeremy and everyone in their little group protects them aside from Matt." He quickly added.

Drake watched Tyler carefully as his breathing picked up. He pushed past Drake and stalked towards the door, "I need to talk to her about this." Tyler opened the door only for Drake to slam it shut, "Move!" He exclaimed only for Drake to grab his arm and pulled it away from the door. Tyler struggled against the hybrid's hold before he was let go.

"Approach Caroline and she tells the rest. If you seek revenge Stefan will try to talk you out of it and if he fails Damon will kill you." Drake warned, "Believe me, Tyler I'm looking out for you. I can help you."

"How? You're a vampire, how could you possibly understand?" Tyler demanded.

"I've walked this earth for five hundred years and in all that time I've made friends with many people including werewolves. I've watched and learn everything about werewolves." He explained gently, "Honestly, I think I'm the best person that can help you."

Just as Tyler tried to argue his phone rang. He pulled it out and looked up at Drake with an unsure look. Drake shrugged and Tyler immediately answered the call. The hybrid easily listened in on the call.

"Hello?" The teen asked.

"Tyler? It's Jules, Mason's friend remember?" The woman asked politely.

Tyler glanced at Drake before he replied, "Yeah, yeah I remember you. Hi."

"I was wondering if you could meet up with me later, at the Mystic Grill?" Jules asked as Drake smirked.

Tyler locked eyes with Drake as he answered, "Sure. Later, I'm in the middle something."

"Of course, around eight?" She suggested.

"Perfect, gotta go, bye." Tyler hung up before she could reply, "Jules. Is she a werewolf too?"

"Yes, she was Mason's alpha and she's recently bit a vampire named Rose." He explained as Tyler tried to process the information, "My guess is she'll tell you about the eternal war between vampires and werewolves, that our basic instincts makes us natural enemies."

Tyler gave him an incredulous look, "You know how stupid you sound, right?"

Drake chuckled, "Of course I do. It's a misconstrued way of thinking from a bygone era. I should know I lived through that era." He added before he gave Tyler a stern look, "Damon and Jules are two sides of the same coin. They both believe thay only one race can exist while the other needs to go extinct."

"What do you believe?" The jock asked.

"I believe we all have a place in this world." Drake answered, "I also believe that I can help you."

"How?" Tyler asked almost helplessly.

"For four hundred years I've studied werewolves, their physiology, psychology, and the magic that surrounds them and only recently have I figured out the one thing they've all wanted to know." Drake saw the slow realization form on Tyler's face, "I've figured out how to control the shift."

Tyler gave him a look of shock and disbelief. Of all the things running through his mind one singular question stood above the rest.

"Is that true?" He asked unsure.

"Yes. Vampires like me and my sister need objects called Daylight Amulets that allow us to walk in the sunlight. I've created something of a similar nature for werewolves called a Moonlight Amulet." He explained pulling out a silver earring with a black stud gem on it, "This will allow you to control the shift at will but not only that, you'll gain the strength, speed, and heightened senses of your wolf form. You'll be able to go head to head with Damon."

Drake held out his hand where the earring rested on his palm. Tyler looked at him sceptically, "You're just going to give it to me?"

"All I ask is for you to hear me out." He replied, "You can take this, leave and attack Damon and Stefan where you'll surely die or you could come with me and we can get rid of them together."

Tyler reached out and took the earring. He looked down at it and quietly inspected the earring. It was tantalizing, the idea of being able to control the shift or was it too good to be true. All of his friends lied to him so what's to stop this stranger from doing the same. However, Drake was the one that told him the truth about Damon and Stefan and the death of his uncle.

Looking up to meet Drake's chocolate eyes he finally answered, "Where are we going?"

Katherine trailed behind Jules' car as the werewolf carefully drove through the woods. She had to leave Drake's car behind so she could follow her without being seen. Wherever this chick was going was very secluded. This obviously means that the rest of her pack is on their way.

Eventually she made it to a small clearing where a beat up old RV stood. She frowned at the sight of it before she turned and sped off. When she got back to the car she got in and quickly began to text Drake.

'Jules is definitely gearing up for her pack's arrival.'

With that she started up the car before her phone rang again. She picked it up and read the text.

'We'll figure it out when you come back. We have a guest by the way.'

Katherine's lips spread into an impressed smirk, "Not bad." She commented before put the car in drive and pulled out into the road, "Wonder who's up next for our little Salvatore hate club." She said aloud.

Standing in the bathroom of Drake's hotel room Tyler sat on the toilet bouncing his leg nervously. His anxiety grew when he saw Drake enter the bathroom with a bowl of diluted wolfsbane. He watched as he placed the bowl on the counter before silently sticking his hand out with an open hand. Tyler silently handed him the earring.

"This is going to sting." Drake warned as he dipped the needle of the earring in diluted wolfsbane.

"Is the wolfsbane necessary?" He asked nervously.

Drake let out a chuckle before he explained, "I need the wolfsbane to make sure the hole won't close after you take the earring off. Prolonged exposure will make it permanent."

"Makes sense." Tyler muttered before Drake stepped up to him.

Drake leaned down aiming the needle on the earlobe, "Ready?"

"Just do it. Forget the count down I ca-ahh!" Tyler yelped at the sudden stinging pain followed by the burning. He slapped his hand over his ear before glaring up at Drake, "What the hell?" He demanded.

Drake only shrugged, "You told me to skip the count down." He smirked as pulled Tyler to his feet, "Come look." He pulled Tyler in front of the mirror so the werewolf could inspect the Moonlight Earring on his right ear. "You look good, right?"

Tyler nodded, "Yeah."

Drake smirked before he walked out if the bathroom, "I intentionally put it on the gay side by the way." He quickly.

"What?!" Tyler exclaimed looking in the mirror.

Before the situation could escalate the door to the hotel room swung opened revealing Katherine. The doppelganger gave her brother a curious look as she entered the room. Hearing an annoyed groan she pointed at the bathroom questioningly receiving a nod in return.

"Ok, we seriously need to redo this whole thing." Tyler said emerging from the bathroom, "Seriously dude not coo-" He stopped at the sight of Katherine, "Elena? What are you doing?"

"Close but not really." Katherine said before plopping down on the bed next to Drake.

Drake rolled his eyes, "Katherine and Elena are doppelgangers of the Petrova bloodline. Exact replicas of each other-"

"Except I'm much prettier." Katherine chimed in sitting up, "And I'm a lot less helpless too."

"A lot more conceded if you ask me." Drake jabbed before Katherine swatted his arm, "And prettier." He quickly added before he shoved Katherine who shoved back.

Tyler watched the exchange with confusion and bafflement as the two continued to push and shove each othet. These two are a pair of five hundred year old vampires and they were acting like teenagers! Snapping out of his bewilderment he cleared his throat catching the attention of the twins. Now with the pair of matching brown eyes on him he spoke.

"You said you had answers for me." He reminded Drake who nodded.

"You're right I do and I'll be straight foreword. No secrets." Drake promised before standing up, "What do you want to know?"

"Everything." Tyler said confidently.
