Marinette's POV
'A vampire? There is no way.' I look down at Tikki and she just shrugs her shoulders. I look at Cole and say, "is there a way you can prove you're a vampire?" He nods and says " Get me some coins or pebbles and a target." Dad looks at him strangely but gets him some coins and I go get my old cutting mat. Cole takes the mat and hangs it on a wall away from windows. Then he looked at us and said, "OK I'm not buff or strong looking and that mat is thick right?" We nod. He plays with the coins, then he throws the coins with extreme accuracy and more power than someone his age and size should have. We look at him in shock, the cutting mat is shredded. Dad looks at me and mom then asks Cole "What else can you do and are you a danger to my wife and daughter?" Cole sighs "I have supernatural strength, durability, endurance, reflexes I can compel humans, I am pretty much immortal, my emotions are heightened, both the good and bad. All of my senses are pushed to the supernatural limit, and to top it off is my true face and fangs." We look at him as his eyes turn blood red with black veins under them. He then opens his mouth and I see his fangs. I look at him and whisper "I like them." while I get a faint blush. He must have heard me because he blushed too which made my blush deeper. "Cole then told dad " Mr. Dupain I'm not a threat to your family." Dad looked to me and mom and we nodded.
Cole's POV
Mr. Dupain turned to me and said " OK me and my wife will pool some money for an apartment and in exchange you can make deliveries on the weekends for the bakery." I think it sounds fair. We shake hands "OK you have a deal." Mr and Mrs. Dupain handed me three thousand euro and I found a nice apartment close to the bakery and Françoise Dupont High School. I start to unpack.
2 hours later (still Cole POV)
I'm finally done unpacking, I finished the Vervain necklaces fo the Dupain-Cheng family, I put on my daylight ring, fill my canteen with blood I compel from the nearby hospital, grab the necklaces and my phone, then head to the bakery to give them my gifts and to meet up with Marinette for school.
I get to the bakery and see Marinette looking upset. "What's wrong Mari?" She jumps and turns around "Oh hey, Cole, nothing wrong wh-why would anything be wrong hehe." I shake my head but drop it "Well I got you and your parents something." She looks surprised and we head into the bakery. "Mr. and Mrs. Dupain-Cheng are you two here?" I call out. I hear them call back "We're in the kitchen and please call us Tom/Sabine." They come out to the front and ask "What is it Cole?" "I got you three some Vervain necklaces it will keep a vampire from being able to compel you" I hand them the necklaces and turn to Marinette "Should we get to school?" Me and Mari head to school.
At school (Alya's POV)
I'm standing in front of the school with my best friend, Lila Rossi, and her boyfriend Adrien, we are waiting for my boyfriend Nino. "I'm so tired I couldn't sleep last night because one of my friends was in the hospital." Lila said. "Well I hope they'll get better," said Adrien and hugged Lila. Soon Nino came over and I kissed my boyfriend. "Come on guys, let's get to class before Mari-brat," I said. We nod and head to class. "Hold on I need to go to the bathroom," Lila said. "OK we'll meet you in class, come on guys" I replied.
In class Alya's POV
I got to my desk and sat next to my boyfriend while Adrien sat down and waited for Lila to return. Soon we see Mari-brat come in with the new kid and I send a glare at Marinette that says, 'don't bully him.' She returns the glare so I yell out, "Everyone, Marinette has a new boy toy." At the same time Lila limps in, I see her and ask her what happened. "Marinette beat me in the bathroom." She says with tears.
Cole's POV
Some big kid pushed me from Marinette and that whole class was throwing insults at her. 'Oh hell no.' I think to myself. I take a drink from my blood canteen, put it in my bag, then I grab a textbook, and I slam the textbook on the ground and I got everyone's attention. "What's the big idea!" Yelled the big emo guy. "My idea is Mari is innocent. I was with her the whole time." Then the sausage haired girl yelled in fake terror "He was helping her!" While crying fake tears and I was silently pissed. Just then the teacher came in "OK class, get in your seats. Oh we have a new student hello I'm Ms. Bustier. Can you introduce yourself and tell us a little about yourself?" Hello I'm Colton Jones, but I go by Cole." I turn to Ms. Bustier and look her in the eyes, "can I sit down now?" "Ye-yes you can," She replies. 'Compulsion works every time' I think as I walk to sit next to Mari.
