Ok so Luz is 14 now. She learned the light spell the way she does in the show, but learned it at a younger age. She also knows ice and electricity.
"Good morning Eda!" Luz beamed as she bounced into the kitchen.
"Hey kid" Eda said. She sipped her apple blood and let out a satisfied sigh. "Guess what today is" she said.
"Is it my birthday?" King asked.
"It's my birthday!" Hooty said but everyone ignored him
"No. It's trash slug day!" Eda said. Luz groaned.
"Can't I skip it today?" Luz asked.
I mean you can, but where would you go" Eda said.
"I'll figure it out" Luz shrugged. she grabbed some toast with jam and went out the door. She walked through the woods taking in the view. She had lived on the isles for seven years now. It truly felt like home. She sometimes missed her mother though. Luz was pulled out of her thoughts when she heard a voice.
"Alright you can do this." The voice said. Luz walked towards the sound and saw a young witch standing. Luz hind behind a bush for a better look.
"It's just presenting. And it's about your favorite plant" the girl said. She was shorter then Luz. She had short turquoise hair that reached her shoulders.
"Little witch girl!" Luz whispered. She moved to position her self better but ended up snapping a branch. The girl turned towards the sound.
"Who's there? Show your self!" The girl drew a green spell circle and vines shot out of the ground. The reached behind the bush and grabbed Luz.
"Ahh!" Luz screamed. The girl noticed Luz and dropped her not so gently on the ground.
"Oh no I'm so sorry" the girl said.
"Don't worry the thorns only broke through a few layers of skin" Luz said brushing her arms off.
That's when the girl notices Luz's ears. "Oh your a human!" She said. "That's so cool! I'm Willow!"
" Luz. Now What are you doing out here anyway?" Luz asked.
I have to present a project about a plant for school. I'm in the plant track at Hexside. A school for magic" Willow explained. "I have stage fright and I am very nervous about presenting."
"What if I come with you and cheer you on from the back of the classroom." Luz asked. "I've always wanted to see a magic school!"
"I don't see why not. I could bring you as a visitor visiting the school, but to do that you need to be able to do magic." Willow said.
" I can do magic watch" Luz pulled out a light glyph and tapped it. Forming the ball of light.
"Wow" Willow said. Alright come on or we'll be late." Luz squeals.
"Welcome to hexside!" Willow said gesturing to the school.
"Wow it's so big and magical!" Luz awed at the school. They walk inside. Luz looks around in total awe.
"Luz I want you to meet someone." Willow said getting her attention. "This is Gus." She looks at a short dark skinned boy with black hair.
"Hi!" He said happily. He then notices Luz ears. " your a human! Wow that's so cool! Do you humans really have gills?"
Luz smiles at Gus. "All your questions will be answered my friend but for now I should probably put my hood up." She said. She puts her cat hood up. She still had the hoodie Eda gave her.
"Let's take you to principal Bump." Willow said. The three head to the principals office.
"Hello Willow and Gus. What can I do for you." The principal who Luz assumes was bump asked. He had a weird demon thing on his head.
"This is Luz!" Willow said she's interested in studying here."
"Ah yes. Can you do magic Luz?" Bump asked.
"I sure can!" Luz smiled she pulled out her favorite glyph. And placed it on the floor. "Watch out." She taps the glyph and bolt of electricity shoots out of paper and hits a plant on bumps desk instantly killing it.
Luz had learned the glyph when she was outside in the boiling rain and lighting almost hit her. It left a pattern in the ground. Eda was not happy about the way Luz learned the spell.
"Oops" Luz said as she stared at what she just did. "Should have used ice instead"
Bump looks at his dead plant and sighs. "This is the third time this week."
" probably should have mentioned I'm a human and that's why I do magic this way." Luz said.
Bump raised his eyes in surprise. " a human doing magic? Interesting. What track would you like to try. We have nine to chose from." He points to the banners above him.
"Luz looks at all the banners. "I can't decide. Can't I do all?"
"Since your a human I don't see why not. Bump said " how about you go to plants with Willow and illusions with Gus and think about it"
"Ok that sounds good to me!" Luz said giving bump a thumbs up.
"I don't know what that means" bump said.
"Let's get going Luz!" Gus said pulling her arm.
Luz goes through plants with Willow who nails her report. Then she goes to illusions with Gus who makes a clone of her.
The friends walk down the hall talking and laughing until someone pushes them and ruins it.
Well, well, well, If it isn't the loser squad" a girl with pink hair and three eyes said.
Willow sighs annoyed. Of course any school isn't complete without it's bullies. Luz meet Boscha and her gang"
Luz looks up a the the girl sneering down at them. There are two other girls next her.
"Boshca leave them alone." A girls voice said. Luz turns her head and immediately recognized the girl.
"Amity!?" Luz thought. This girl definitely looked like the Amity she knew. Just older and her hair was now mint green with brown roots.
"Aww come on Amity we were just having fun." Boscha said. We have to show that we're at the top and they're at the bottom."
Amity scoffed. " grow up Boscha. There are other ways to show your a top student then bullying others."
"Ughh fine!" Boscha stomped. "Your no fun anymore." She turned and left with the other girls fallowing her.
Amity looked back at Willow, Gus, and Luz. When she met Luz's eyes recognition flashed through them. Luz's face suddenly felt hot when those gold eyes met her brown eyes."
"Sorry about her." Amity said before turning and leaving.
"That's Amity." Willow said as she got up. Gus and Luz got up too.
"she definitely top of the school." Willow explained. "She's not bad like Boshca. She always apologizes for Boshca's acts though which isn't fair."
Luz wasn't really listening. That was the Amity she knew and she really wanted to talk to her.
Later Luz was walking alone through Hexside. She had gotten separated form Willow and Gus. She wasn't looking where she was going and ran into someone.
"Hey watch it!" The person said. Luz recognized who it was. Boscha. This wasn't going to be good.
"Oh it's you from earlier" Boscha said.
Luz gulped. "hey..". What Luz didn't realize that her hood came down revealing her round ears.
"You're a human!" Boscha said. She then smirked. "I messed with a human before."
" I don't mean any troubles really! You need to stop being a jerk." Luz said.
"Oh the human wants to fight?" Boscha said. "Well think fast." She drew a spell circle and fire shot towards Luz.
Luz reached into her pocket and pulled out an ice glyph and slammed it on the ground. An ice column rose out of the ground and blocked the fire."
"What how did you do that!" Boscha said in surprise. Maybe this will teach you a lesson!" She reached into her project and pulled out a potion and threw it at Luz. Before Luz could react she was pushed out of the way. When she turned to see who pushed her she saw Amity.
"Amity!?" Luz said. She rushed to Amity side. "Are you ok?"
"Yeah I'll be fine" Amity.
"What did she hit you with?" Luz asked.
"Potion of delusion." Amity said. "It's her favorite to torture someone with" Amity started to wobble a little bit.
"Ok I'm getting you help." Luz said. She scooped Amity up and ran out the school and to the owl house.
"Eda!" Luz yelled busting through the front door. Amity who was giggling, still in her arms.
"Jeez Luz you don't need bust in here" Eda said from the couch. She noticed Amity. "Dang Luz didn't think you'd pick up girls that quick."
"Its not what it looks like! " Luz said. Blushing.
Amity looked up at her. "Your pretty" she giggled causing Luz to turn more red.
"What happened to her?" Eda asked.
"So I might have made some friends and went to visit a magic school and while there might have gotten into some trouble with a girl and Amity might have taken a delusion potion for me." Luz said.
"Alright lay her on the couch." Eda said. Luz does so. Now sit her with her while I make a cure.
"Ok" Luz said. She looked back at Amity who was lying on the couch giggling. Amity noticed Luz looking at her and looked back.
"Gosh she's pretty" Luz thought. Golden eyes sparkled when Amity laughed. Luz softly stroked Amity's head.
"That tickles" Amity said. "Remember when you called me pretty. I liked that" she giggled again.
" I remember" Luz said.
"Ok I'm gonna take a nap now" Amity said. She closed her eyes and fell asleep.
About 30 minutes later Amity woke up again.
"Where am I?" She asked as she sat up.
"Your at the owl house." Luz said. We were at Hexside, but then ran into some trouble with Boscha and you got hit with a delusion potion. So I took you to my house were my mentor fixed you up!"
"I said a bunch of embarrassing things didn't I?" Amity said. Her face flushing
"Yep" Luz said "but don't worry it was cute"
"Wait a mentor for what?" Amity asked.
"For magic." Luz answered. " I don't know if you remember but I'm a human see" she points to her ears. " I can't do magic like you can but I found a way" she places a light glyphs and taps it.
"Wow" Amity breathed, memorized by the light.
"Hate to break up the Reunion but we should head back to Hexside" Eda said.
"What do you mean "we?" Asked Luz.
"I mean we because I'm gonna try and enroll you there" Eda said.
"Really!" Luz asked. Eda nodded. "Alright let's go!" Luz got off the couch, offered a hand to Amity to help her up. Then the group set off to Hexside.
After talking to Bump Eda was able to enroll Luz into all tracks at Hexside.
"I'm so excited to go here!" Luz told Eda at front of the school.
"You'll do great kid" Eda said ruffling Luz's hair.
they were just about to leave when a voice called out.
"Luz wait!" Amity called. Luz turned around to see Amity coming down the stairs. She stood in front of Luz for a moment before hugging her.
"I'm really glad I got to see you again" she said.
" Me too Amity" Luz said " We go to the same school now so we'll see each other almost every day!"
"I'm looking forward to it" Amity said.
So I tried to write a chapter about Luz learning the light glyph but I didn't like it. I hope y'all won't mind the lumity it's just very easy for me to write about. As always I hope you enjoy this cringe.
