To be honest, I am not sure how long we were in the car for. I fell asleep and I can be an extremely deep sleeper. So when I woke up and I was laying all snuggled in a really nice comfortable bed I felt that I was left with two possibilities.
One, I dreamt that I died and became Elena Gilbert. A nightmare for sure.
Or
Two, I am still Elena Gilbert and Eli was just being such a sweet vampy wampy gent and decided to lay me on a nice comfy bed.
Either way, I intend to stay in this bed for as long as possible. In other words, forever and ever. I let out a blissful yawn and snuggle deeper into the pillows and fluffiness of this comfy stuff.
"Get up." I hear Elijah say sternly, which means he's lazing around in here somewhere.
Oh dream bunnies, I love you.
So, I simply yawn and snuggle deeper into bed, mumbling randomly as I try to drift back to sleep again. He's attacking my sleep. It's very rude of him to do so honestly.
Elijah sighs, "Elena, get up. I have people I want you to meet."
"Tell them that I died in bed, happily." I grumble under my breath as I let out another yawn and close my eyes tightly hoping for more scrumptious sleep.
Suddenly I'm scooped up out of bed and I let out a scream of surprise, holding onto him tightly. "Don't drop me." I say with a yell as feel a little dizzy from the sudden movements.
I was sleeping after all, doesn't he realize that some of us prefer to stay in nice cozy beds if we're not allowed to do something crazy? This is why I wanna be a kitten. Cuddles and sleep!
It wasn't long after that when he deposits me on a couch. On the other side of the room are the Martins. I liked them, it's too bad that they died in the show.
"Ello!" I say with a grin and a wave.
Luka smiles and waves, appearing a little bit awkward as he does so just because he glances at Elijah and promptly puts his hand down. His father however doesn't even look at me.
"So, you have the doppelgänger." He states as he looks at Elijah, as if I am not even here.
I can't for the life of me remember his name though. Was it Marcus? Nah, that was a bad guy I think. . . Ugh. Perhaps it will come to me, someday- or I'll just ask him.
"Yes, did you put up the protections around the apartment like I asked you to?" Elijah asks him as he sits down beside me regally.
Said daddy of Luka nods his head. "Yeah, I did. They won't be able to track her here."
"You're sure?" He asks as he locks his hands together over his lap and sits himself up straight. "I plan on - researching her, friends to see what I can find out."
"Bennett witch. I'm friends with a Bennett witch. But, if you hurt her then I'll burn you and dance on your innards." I state simply as I pick at my nails, not even looking up at them as I do so.
Elijah hums in response. "Will your barrier be enough?"
"It should hold."
"Cool." I say as I look up at them and tilt my head curiously. "Do you have any board games?"
"We have cards." Luka says. "And uh, Monopoly and battleship."
With a nod I stand up and clap happily. "Show me! Pretty pretty please!"
He smiles a little and looks to his dad and then Elijah, looking unsure.
"I'm not going to run away." I state with a shake of my head. "I have a comfy bed to sleep on, honestly. Keep me, I'll be lovely and sleep in the nice fluffy clouds of softness. But I'm bored and unless you want me to start humming, singing or just doing something that I am not sure I'm joking about then I need entertainment."
"Go ahead." Luka's' father says with a sigh as he rubs his temples. "Just keep an eye on her."
"Your right." I tell him with a shrug as I tap my chin and stand up. "I may bake you cookies .. or a cake .. it would be scandalous. Well, unless I'm allowed to go fishing. I like fishing, if I don't fall asleep and lose my fishing pole."
They all stop and blink at me. "You.." Elijah begins to say before he closes his mouth and sighs, again pinching the bridge of his nose. "Never mind, just don't let her leave the apartment."
"Hey." I say with a frown as I look at him and put my hands on my hips defensively "I said I like the bed, try to make me leave grandpa."
Luka snorts and covers his mouth right away, there's definitely a blush hidden on his face somewhere. A small smile graces my lips then as I walk up to him and grab his hand, taking him to the table in the kitchen area.
After sitting down I hold out my hand to shake his. "I'm Elena, it's wonderful to meet someone who actually seems fun."
Awkwardly he holds out his hand to shake mine. "Uh, I'm Luka. It's .. nice to meet you?"
I smile and we let go of our hands. "Are you nervous because of Elijah? Or because my death will be a requirement at the end of it all?"
His mouth opens in surprise and then closes. "Uhh.."
"Elena." Elijah says as he walks into the kitchen, Mr. Martin behind him with a Grimore. "I haven't gotten to ask. How do you know that Klaus is my brother?"
I tilt my head and give him a small smile as I shrug as I say to him in a sing song voice. "It's a secret!"
He grits his teeth, staring at me carefully. "Why can I not compel you?"
"Perhaps your eyes are broken?" I suggest to him innocently as I try my hardest not to laugh out loud.
Elijah's hands tighten into a fist and he lets out a deep breath. "I don't have time for games."
"That's a shame Mr. suits." I tell him with a frown as I lean across the table, my elbows on it. "Games keep you young and help release tension. Of course, there are a lot of games you can play."
He blinks at me, not confused per say, just not sure of me I believe.
"They have games that are available on phones now. I mean, you know, other then Tetris and Snake." I tell him with a nod.
"I have no use for games."
"But you played a word game earlier. You specifically mention her but left out Trevor, of course people expect you to be 'Nobel' so they don't look for the loopholes in your wording. Well, that's not true. I do."
"Why would you defend your kidnapper?" He asks me then, ignoring my statement.
I shrug as I answer with. "He had nice hair and . . Well, he seems somewhat kindhearted."
The Martin's stop talking and look at me with a frown and the glance at each other. Luka interjects then "But, Elena. . He kidnapped you."
"Yup." I comment lightly.
I wasn't here for that honestly. Besides, Trevor is in a way. . Innocent minded. I mean sure, he's all vampy but out of them all in his like, ten or fifteen minutes of screen time he seemed nice enough.
Elijah raises an eyebrow curiously "And I kidnapped you."
"Yeah." I say with a small smile as I look at him excitedly. "You got strong arms for an oldie."
"I'm a vampire." He states with a shrug as he frowns at me. "That's to be expected."
"Uh huh. Whatever you say." After a beat of silence and picking at the table I glance up at Elijah and ask him curiously. "Can you crush a Boulder into dust?"
His mouth opens and closes again as he lets out a sigh. "I'm the one asking the questions."
"Of course you are darling." I tell him with a patient grin.
That's when he slams his hands on the table and stands. I retaliate by looking at him with a wide smile, laughing right now would probably be a bad idea.
"You have no control here Elena." He snaps angrily at me as he stands to full height and adjusts his cuff links. "Do not believe for one minute that you do."
"Right." I say politely, a tight smile on my face as I stand up as well. "Just like you're not going to kill me to attempt to kill your half brother?"
Without thinking over the question he snaps. "He killed my siblings."
I snort and shake my head as a disappointed look forms on my face. Sadly I ask him. "Why would he?"
"Because he's cruel." He snaps.
I raise an eyebrow at him and ask him curiously. "Like it's not cruel to dagger the brother that hurts from his loss of magic? Or the older one that felt ashamed and perhaps just needed support? Or what about the little sister who just wanted to be free to love?"
"How do you know any of that?" Elijah asks, his voice like steel.
Shaking my head I sigh and walk the few steps towards him and. . I hug him, patting him on the back as his stiffens in what seems to be shock and confusion. But he doesn't move, not a muscle.
"I need to sleep. Normally if I want this much fun I need to crash something or somehow step into a fight." I say with a yawn as I release him, patting his shoulder as I go to my assumed room and lay back down to sleep.

3rd POV
After she leaves the room Elijah turns towards Luka and Jonas.
"Can you find out how she knows things that she shouldn't?" Elijah asks them stoned faced as he tries to keep his anger in check.
He doesn't believe her and nor does he trust her. Not with this, not with his family. The doppelgängers are betrayers.
"We can try." Jonas says stiffly and he glances at Luka.
"I'll be starting at the high school tomorrow." Luka adds. "Maybe I can meet the Bennett and find things out that way?"
Elijah nods and then looks back at Jonas. "Keep an eye on her."
Luka holds back a snort as he says hesitantly. "I don't think she will make a run for it. She seemed uh— thrilled? To be here."
"She's an odd one." Jonas says with a frown. "But, your right. Somehow she knows too much."
"We'll find out what we can about her." Elijah says sharply. "Keep her under watchful eyes. She's of the Petrova blood, for all we know it's an act and she wants us to let our guard down."
Both of the Martin's nod their heads in agreement as Elijah leaves the apartment. He needs to do something, kill something - no, something that can't alert anyone to his location. He needs to find out what group she hung out with and where she got her information from.
