JJ, still staring at the text, flashed back to the night that Will attacked her and was unaware that Derek was approaching her. Derek chose in that moment to touch JJ on the shoulder causing an intense reaction from JJ. Before anyone in the area could do or say anything, JJ screamed, " I SAID NO!!!" Then quickly grabbed Derek's hand, ripping it off her shoulder and violently twisting it. The force of the attack caused him to yell, already alarming the team and others that were in the vicinity. JJ was pulled from the flashback by Morgan's yell, and immediately let go of his wrist. Derek swiftly stood up and looked at JJ with concern and shock from the situation. When Derek took a step towards Jennifer to make sure that she was okay, was all it took for her to run from the bullpen and out of the area. Hotch was the first to speak up about the situation, "Derek, what happened?" Morgan looked to him with just as much, maybe even more confusion and replied, "I have no idea." Hotchner notices that people are still staring and orders everyone back to work. Waiting until people have scattered back to their appropriate spaces, Aaron tells the team to move the necessary discussion to the round table room. As they team head to the room, Emily notices JJ forgot her phone on her desk when she ran out and chose to grab it for the talk.

Now that the team are all in Hotch's office, Dave closes the door so that no one can hear the conversation. Rossi was first to talk, "Does anyone know why JJ freaked out like that?" "We should probably get Penelope too." Prentiss mentions, to which Derek nods his head to go get her. After Derek returns with Penelope, the five of them just look at each other with confusion. Just as Hotch was about to say something, there was a knock at the door. Prentiss opens the door since she was closest, the team is shocked to find Erin Strauss. Hotch stands up and says, "Chief Strauss. What can I help you with?" Strauss replies with, "Well I was on my way to your office when I ran into a very distraught Agent Jareau. So I came here to ask if everything is alright?" The team look at each other debating whether or not to tell Erin the truth or lie, but considering that she saw JJ very upset, it would be futile to lie. "We believe something is wrong with Agent Jareau. We just don't know what it is." Strauss who is quick to enter the office, also closing the door as this conversation will most likely be upsetting. "Does anyone know why?" Strauss asks. "We know that she attacked Morgan and screamed, 'I said no' before running out some moments later." Derek answers with concern in his voice. That was when Emily points out, "JJ did forget to grab her phone before leaving." Spencer quickly adds in, "That's right just before Derek touched JJ, she was looking at her phone with a weird expression on her face." Rossi looks to Spencer and asks, "What do you mean, a weird expression?" The kid now a little hesitant to voice his response is questioned again, this time by Chief Strauss. "What look did she have, Dr. Reid?" He looks to the others in the room and answers, "She looked terrified by whatever was on her phone." Silence fell upon the room at what Spencer said. "What was on the phone?" Morgan asked. Emily hands Garcia JJ's cell who moves to the couch and starts putting her computer skills to work. "It was a text message." She doesn't continue which Hotch takes notice and questions, "What does the text say Garcia?" Penelope looks at them and says, "It's a message from Will. Says, 'You better be home early or you'll be sorry.'" "Does anyone know if Jennifer has had any issues at home?" Strauss requests. They all skate their heads. "Do you think we should check on her?" Emily asks as she is worried for one of her closest friends. Hotch answers with, "I think if we try and talk to her about it she will close off and that I feel is far worse than doing nothing. If we wait for her to come to us then she will be talking on her own terms, not ours. Clear." Everyone nods their heads and chorus off each other with 'clears' including Strauss. "Alright then, let's get back to work." Aaron says. They all file out of his office, while Derek lingers behind. "Do you really think everything is fine?" Hotch looks up at him and says, "Truthfully, no I think that JJ is needing help and doesn't feel like she can ask for it from us. So if it means waiting for her to come to us, then fine." Derek nods his head in sad agreement and leaves the office, closing the door.

Across town, about 15 minutes from the BAU is one Agent Jennifer Jareau crying in her car which is parked at a playground just a few minutes from home. How could I be so stupid, there's no way I can go back to work after freaking out like that. I mean what's everyone going to think? Jennifer Jareau must be crazy. JJ knows that what Will did that night was a crime, but she knows that if she reports it everyone will see her as weak and unable to defend herself from her own husband, let alone an unsub from now on. She knows that her friends wouldn't judge her or see her as weak, but it's the feeling of seeing the pity in their eyes that she doesn't think she can handle. After sitting in her car for some odd minutes, JJ decides to just go home and sleep off the crazy day.

Walking through the doors of the bullpen, JJ pretends that nothing is wrong and does her normal greetings to the others that are at work. Sitting down at her desk, Jennifer can feel eyes on her, but doesn't look up because she doesn't want to question the looks. Some time had gone by before Hotchner came out of his office and told the team of a case in Delaware. Hoping that it was a simple case, JJ gets up and heads to the round table. The case was rather simple and the BAU were able to close it fairly quickly before heading back to Quantico. Once they were back in the FBI building getting ready to leave, Rossi walked out of his office and asked if they wanted to gather at his 'mansion' for some after work drinks. JJ declined saying that she had to relieve Henry's babysitter. They all say their goodbyes to JJ, after she was out of hearing distance, Prentiss spoke up, "Should we be worried?" Hotch answers with, "Like I told Morgan, if JJ wants help she knows that all she has to do is ask. Besides that text, although suspicious, not exactly grounds for investigation." The team agrees and heads over to Rossi's house. Oh sorry mansion. However what the team doesn't know is that the rollercoaster of events is coming up very fast and isn't slowing down.
