Lucina woke up with a start, hitting her head on the low roof of her shelter. She got up, leaving her sword, knives and her cloak in the lean-to.

"I hope there's some kind of stream around here," She said groggily. "My hair is a mess."

After finding a freshwater stream, Lucina took some time to clean herself up. After tying her wet, blue hair back with some string, she decided to head to the village.

As she walked into the clearing where the village was located (Her lean-to was a ten or so meters into the forest so she would have privacy), she noticed something.

Everybody was working, even the kids who were younger than seven years old. She paced over to where Aaron and his sister, Lianna were working. Lianna was weeding the large garden her family had and Aaron was splitting logs.

"Hey, guys." She called.

"Hey." Lianna replied gruffly. "What'd you want?"

Lucina frowned. "Just trying to see if I can help."

Aaron pointed toward the forest. "If you want to be useful, go cut down some saplings. Bring them to the blacksmith."

Lucina took the axe from Aaron's outstretched hand and retrieved her sword from her shelter. I might as well check out the edge of the forest, she thought.

Sword in one hand and axe in the other, Lucina headed to the edge of the forest.

"I'll get some wood after." She said to herself. "I need to check out these monsters first."

Suddenly there was a harsh white light that stung her eyes. Suddenly a bright blue circle of light flew out from the ball, knocking Lucina to the ground.

"Who are you?" She challenged, drawing her sword.

"Is that really the best way to treat your husband?" The ball said. Immediately after, Robin stepped out. His eyes were sparkling, filled with joy.

Lucina dashed forward, dropping her sword and jumping into Robin's arms. "Robin!" She cried, tears seeping out of her eyes. The tactitain smiled. "How did you get here?" Lucina asked.

"Teleportation rune. I found some dust near your tent and used it to get myself here."

Lucina smiled and stopped hugging Robin. Instead, she kissed her husband on the cheek and patted his arm.

"Let's go back to the village I found. I can just make up a story saying the monsters were holding you captive and that I rescued you."

Robin nodded. "That's a good plan. If I may ask, what monsters are you talking about?"

"I don't know what they look like, but they are being kept away by the forest. I think they might be attacked soon."

"Makes sense. I assume you're the only person there who can fight?"

"Pretty much. Everybody else is off-balance and they can't even hold their weapons properly." Lucina replied. Robin nodded. Then, gesturing to the axe in her hard, spoke again.

"I assume you're gathering wood then?"

"Yup. This town doesn't have a currency, so everything is paid by favors. That's how I got roped into training them in the first place."

Robin frowned. "How good of a defensive site is it?"

"Not good. Everything is based around one big street, with large farms and a large stream running behind the houses."

Robin scratched his chin thoughtfully. "Let's worry about that later."

Hand in hand, they both walked back to the village.

"Hey Lucie!" Lianna called as the pair emerged from the forest. "Who d'you have there?"

Lucina smiled and held up her hand, taking the glove off. Her wedding ring was visible, and the pieces clicked in Lianna's mind.

"You're married?" Aaron asked from the side of his fence. "Bor-ing."

Robin outstretched his hand and smiled. "Nice to meet you. I'm Robin."

Aaron narrowed his eyes. "What's with that stupid cloak?" He asked.

"It's just…." Robin struggled to make up a reason, "for camouflage."

Lucina took Robin's hand and introduced him to the rest of the village, letting the villagers figure out his personality. (Which was pretty bland tbh)

Lucina and Robin walked over to the clearing where Lucina had arrived, just to be away from everybody so they could discuss what was going on.

Lucina looked her husband straight in the eyes and waited.

"What?" Robin asked, trying to stall what he knew he would have to say.

"What's going on in Ylisse?" Lucina asked. "Tell the truth."

Robin shook his head. "Nothing much. Chrom and I have eliminated the rest of the rebels, and baby you is doing pretty well. She said her first word." Robin smiled. "Shank."

Lucina visibly recoiled. "How did she learn the word 'shank'?"

"I guess Chrom was teaching somebody good ways to use short knives." Robin explained. "Anyway, back to what is going on. Chrom calmed down a lot when I told him I could go here and travel back, but I can't bring anybody with me. He said that, while I'm gone, he will be getting Tharja and some other people to work on a way to transport more than one person between these two realms."

"Realms?" Lucina asked. "So I'm not anywhere near Ylisse?"

"Nope." Robin answered. "I think you might be somewhere totally unknown to the shepherds."

Lucina facepalmed. "And I assume that means only people with teleportation powers can travel?"

Robin frowned. "It's worse. We have to have the essence of the original person who teleported you. We only have enough left for two trips. I have one dose, and Chrom and Tharja share the other one."

Lucina teared up. Why can't this just sort itself out already?

Lucina stood in the center of the village, Robin by her side.

Alexander, the son of the leatherer, stepped forward. "Where are you guys going? I thought we had combat practice today!"

Lucina patted the boy's forehead and smiled encouragingly. "We are just heading...somewhere. I promise to train you with the spear when I get back." Lucina added.

Alexander puffed his cheeks and walked away.

"Well," Robin said to Lucina, "I guess we should head out now."

"Good luck!" Aaron called from his porch. "Don't die!"

Lucina smiled, "I'll try not to."

The two heroes of Ylisse left, with all their belongings on their backs.

A slim girl in her early twenties was sitting on a crimson throne, a grey-black sword resting against the armrest.

She patted the sword absentmindedly with her hand, whispering to it. "I can only imagine how much they will be shocked when they see you," She said to her sword, "After all, I'm pretty sure nobody expects there to be one more of your kind."

The girl gazed into a mirror that was resting nearby and smiled when she saw the crown on her head. It was a dark red, with a black outline. It accented her dark red hair quite nicely, and it gave her an 'evil' sort of look. Of course, she does have hundreds of thousands of monsters at her command, each one filled with a hatred for everything. Everything besides her, their queen.

Lucina and Robin could see the large pillars of smoke that rose in the distance. They could tell it wasn't another village because of how the soil was getting more dry as they walked closer.

"Well, I sense evil." Robin stated plainly. "We are definitely close."

Lucina nodded. "I feel it too, even though I can't use magic well."

"Let's take a break at this clearing." Robin suggested, "My legs need a break."

They both sat down on a rock, taking out food and taking their time eating it. Lucina frowned. "Something's off. I can feel it."

Robin rose to his feet and took out his wand and his primary book. "I sense it too. Get your weapon ready."

Lucina nodded and drew her sword, the blade reflecting the sunlight and casting it over the ground.

There was a rustle in the bushes and Lucina gripped her sword tighter.

"Who goes there?" She challenged.

"Don't attack!" The person said. They stepped out, hands raised in the air. It was a picture perfect image of Robin, but she was a girl. Instead of having short hair, it was back-length and it flowed down her cloak. The same cloak that Robin had.

"Who are you?" The male Robin yelled.

"I'm you," the other Robin said, "But more stylish!"

Both Robin's drew their wands and started casting spells. The male one was casting a fire attack, and the female one was casting a lightning attack.

Bam!

The entire area was filled with smoke and dust, forcing both of the Robins and Lucina to cough constantly until it cleared.

Lucina swung her sword around a few times until the dust cleared. Filled with rage, the blue-haired girl started yelling.

"Listen up! I get that both of you hate each other, but I seem to recall that you two are LITERALLY TRYING TO KILL EACH OTHER!"

The magic-users looked down at the ground, scared and startled. Lucina kept on yelling. "And if ANY of you try to kill your…." Lucina paused while she tried to find a good word, "Trying to kill your other self, then I will leave both of you for the monsters! Am I clear?!"

"Yes, Lucina." Both of them chorused.

The male Robin suddenly looked the other one in the eyes. "How do you know her name!?"

"Oh, easy." The female one replied. "I just appeared here in a strange portal and I saw you two sitting on a rock, talking. I was going to ask if I could get some information, but…" her voice trailed off, "I decided to join you guys instead!"

"Welcome to the group." Lucina stated plainly. "We're going to scout out the area over there, where all the monsters are."

The female magician nodded. "I can show you guys the best area to scout. I actually appeared there after I fell out of a blue portal."

The male Robin shrugged. "I think we should set up camp here. It's almost dusk."

Lucina agreed. "Ok. Each one of you will build your own shelters. I'm settling for that tree up there."

The two Robins nodded and got to work. The male Robin had cut branches off the trees to make a little lean-to, and the female one used magic to put herself to sleep instantly.

It was the next day, and the three of them were looking over the mass expanse of dead earth. There was a strange, crimson castle, which was backed up against a mountain.

"So what are you guys planning on doing?" The female Robin asked. "That castle can't be seized by just three people."

Lucina shook her head. "We are not going for the castle. I need to see what these monsters are like. And what makes them tick."

Then, male Robin suddenly screamed. "Look out!"

There was a rush of air that passed through the spot where her head just was. She spun on one heel and drew Falchion from its sheath.

'Hello, Lucina." The person said.

"I...I….I can't believe it." Lucina said. "How are you..me?"

The girl replied. "I'm not you. I'm better." Lucina was shocked. The girl was almost a perfect replica of her, except she had dark red hair and orange eyes. "And I'm here to kill you!"

Lucina rolled to the ride, with both of her companions pulling out short knives they carried.

"Back off!" The red-haired Lucina said. "I want a good, old, traditional one-on-one fight."

The real Lucina shook her head. "No. but, before I kill you, answer my question."

Her opponent scoffed. 'What's your question?"

"How do you exist?"

"It's simple, really." The red-haired Lucina sheathed her sword, "When an outsider enters this realm, a different version of them gets sent here as well. For me and you, it was a mentality change. For the Robins, it was a gender change. Now die!"

Lucina rolled to the side, her cloak flying around her and kicking up some dirt. There was a cry of pain and Lucina was shocked immensely. In the half-second her cloak was covering his vision, her evil counterpart had stabbed the male Robin through the throat.

"Robin!" Lucina cried. The female Robin summoned the largest lightning bolt she could muster and threw it at the evil Lucina, driving her away.

"Robin…." Lucina muttered as she leaned over her husband's corpse. "I failed you. It's all my fault."

And that is the end of this chapter. Now that the male Robin is dead, the female Robin will now be referred to as just, 'Robin'. Please feel free to review your thoughts on this story so far, because I would like to hear some feedback!
