Uvogin

After seeing the great Shadow Beats get beaten pathetically by the buff man, Aanya could tell that this Phantom Troupe was strong. If it were her, she would back off and try to protect Neon.

Kurapika seemed to have other ideas.

He stormed towards the gravesite. "Kurapika!" Dalzollene called, and grabbed Kurapika. Kurapika angrily shook off his hand.

Are his eyes shaking? There must be contact lenses. For a guy that must be around 17, he acted completely out of control. Then Melody started playing her flute.

It was pretty. As a matter of fact, it was the most beautiful sound Aanya had heard in her life. Kind of like the concert her dad had taken her too when she was 12.

Kurapika looked like he enjoyed the music too. He calmed down.

"Kurapika after seeing what that man is capable of, you still think you can beat him?" Dalzollene asked, Kurapika nodded.

"You are going to capture him right?" Kurapika paused and nodded, "Alright then, I'll get the cab." Aanya took out her phone and dialed for transportation.

She was in the car when she heard the whole 'AAUGH' sound. Didn't seem to be Kurapika's voice.

Then Kurapika dragged in a chained up buff man in the car and shoved him in the backseat. The man was so much bigger up close, that Aanya instantly regretted taking the backseat. Kurapika looked angry.

"You think these chains can actually hold me." the buff guy grinned, pretty cocky for a guy who was half-paralyzed with leeches in his stomach and wrapped up in chains.

Kurapika straight up turned his eyes away from the road just to tighten the chains. Melody yelled his name, but he was deaf.

After having Kurapika go through his 'ChaIn JAil' ability and his 'oh so great vengeance mission' or something, Aanya decided enough was enough.

"Kurapi-" she began.

"You're as good as dead." Kurapika glared at the buff man interrupting Aanya and ignoring her. It kind of ticked her off. Oh yes. It definitely did. Aanya sucked in air.

"PUT YOUR EYES ON THE ROAD RIGHT NOW OR ELSE I AM LITERALLY GOING TO RIP OUT YOU STUPID CHAIN JAIL MIDDLE FINGER."

Kurapika looked surprised, he put his eyes back to the wheel, but Aanya wasn't done.

"MELODY WON'T ALWAYS BE THERE TO PULL OUT HER FLUTE SO GET YOURSELF TOGETHER AND STOP ACTING LIKE A TODDLER." Aanya sighed, "Okay I'm done."

"I'm not acting like a toddler."

"You are lacking a bit of self control don't you think?" she turned to the big guy, "Do you exist?"

Uvogin's smile widened, at this point his mouth was taking up an alarming part of his face, "No. Do you?"

"I dunno. It's complicated but she doesn't." Aanya pointed at Melody.

"What are you talking about?" Kurapika shouted.

"In Meteor City there's the classic joke that we don't exist. It only started about 30 years ago. It used to be an insult." Melody explained.

"So you're under the age of 30 and from Meteor City." Aanya deduced.

They drove throughout the rest of the path. Aanya didn't need to yell or ask anymore questions.

Soon they had the buff man metaly taped against a bed. They questioned him of course but he didn't say anything. When Dalzollene tried to act cool the sword just broke. Then stupid buff man tried to bargain.

"What about our friends at the auction?" Kurapika demanded.

"Oh sorry, I killed them."

Kurapika landed a square punch on the man's nose. He probably might have killed him right there had Aanya not yanked him back from the collar. If she were Melody she might have tried a softer approach. But she had officially determined that Kurapika had the temperament of a 5-year-old when it came down to the Phantom Troupe.

On the other hand, she disliked the Troupe too. She was mad that they ruined the auction, and now they couldn't give Neon her mummy in time. She was mad that they had killed Blaise, Aanya had a feeling they could have been friends. She was upset that they had slaughtered Kurapika's clan, causing him to a state of instability.

Revenge was sweet, but not very good for your mental health. Some part of her knew Kurapika wouldn't feel too great by killing.

Because Aanya knew that no matter how many you kill, it just makes the gap in your soul bigger.

Even the Troupe was suffering in some way. Because their life definitely would have been so much more if they had befriended some of the people they had killed. Or gotten to know them.

Troupe:

The Troupe was getting a little fed up with having to rescue the Enhancers. First Nobunaga then Uvogin did they ever get a break?

Shalnark was a little frustrated too. I mean his fake beard was getting so itchy, someone needed to sue the store. Or just rob it, Shalnark was up for the job.

He entered the Nostrade household. Some man with tattooed cheekbones greeted them. He showed them into Uvogin's room. Shalnark ripped off his beard faster than Phinks stabbed the cheekbone man. Shizuku took off her wig and summoned Blinky.

"Blinky, suck up the poison and sleeping gas in this man's body."

Blinky complied.

Uvogin got up and howled. Or bawled. It was hard to take a man who had just soared away singing 'AAUGH' too seriously.

"Get a life will you?" a girl's voice came from the room beside them.

Uvo kicked the door down with such ease that it put doorknobs to shame. "WHERE ARE THEY?"

"They ran away idiot." two brain cells told one questionable brain cell, "Your voice scared them away, lets go."

"No. Not until I get my revenge."

"May I ask a question?" without waiting for anyone Machi continued, "Was the girl who said 'get a life' the chain user?"

"No, that was someone from Meteor City. The chain user exists."

Shalnark and Pakunoda sighed and decided to help Uvo find the 'chain users' whereabouts.

The rest of the Spider returned to their base. Eventually, after helping Uvo, Shalnark too returned.

They waited. And waited. And waited. But Uvogin never came back.

Everyone was getting a little worried but Nobunaga wasn't. He was either the least worried or the most.

"There's no way Uvo would lose." he told the rest of The Spider.

Aanya:

"Bet." Aanya crowed. She had used an INSANE amount of Nen to place a listening trap and she just ended up catching #1.

In order to save Nen since the Troupe was no longer a threat to Neon she got rid of her listening device.

Kurapika had trudged in a few moments before with blood on his face and hands.

And low and behold! He didn't seem to have that great satisfaction of killing! He didn't have the 'yes I have partially avenged my clan' face on! If Aanya had told anyone her predictions, she could have totally said 'i told you so'.

She hadn't told this to Kurapika. She had just thrown him a towel and told him to get back to work.

Then Kurapika became intern-leader. And then a thought came to her.

"Intern-boss, can I speak to you for a second."

Kurapika made an amused face but nodded.

"So about my brother…" Kurapika smiled reassuringly though Aanya could see some unsteadiness, "if you capture anymore Troupe members could you ask them if they know anything about my brother? He goes by the alias 'C' and I used to go by the alias 'V'. He should be about 20-30 years old."

"If the Phantom Troupe ever encountered your brother then-" Melody coughed behind them, interrupting Kurapika.

"Continue."

"Sure no problem Aanya." Kurapika smiled weirdly.

"Thanks!"

Aanya could have sworn Melody glared at Kurapika. That was really weird. Sometimes her dad glared at his colleagues like that too. Most of the time when they mentioned Meteor City.

"So do you have a dad?" Kurapika began.

"Yeah. But he's dead."

Melody glared at Kurapika again.

"How old are you?" Melody politely asked.

"Uh.. tricky question." everyone looked at her, "so do you want the official age, or the real age?"

"I'll take both." Kurapika looked at her funny.

"I'm legally 21 and actually 19. Just turned 19 last week, and will turn 22 next month."

"Oh. About your aura-" Melody started.

"It changes due to my mood." Aanya quickly explained. She was nervous meaning that her aura was probably sharp and vibrating.

Kurapika nodded. Aanya wondered why he was so stiff.

"The auction will be happening tomorrow. Melody you and Aanya can accompany Neon, is that okay?"

Melody nodded and Aanya reluctantly agreed. Accompanying a spoiled brat just meant becoming the shack for their clothing. Clothing that they're probably never going to wear.

She did take Neon shopping. Nalia and the girls seemed to enjoy it. But still. For the clothing that Neon said was 'repulsive' 3 people would die in Meteor City wrestling for it.

She hadn't been to Meteor City for a long time but whenever she thinks of her brother…

She remembered being two and hiding pieces of book paper in a hidden shelf so when C came back she would give him it. He wanted to learn how to read and write so that was as close as it got. After gathering enough paper he would go to the elders and get them to point out some words they knew. V would precede to do that when she turned 4.

"Neons slipped away!" Nalia cried.
