3rd POV

"I'm Inazuma! Um… It's nice to meet you, Teitoku, nanodesu!" Inazuma salutes and bows towards Louis who is now the Admiral of this base.

This introduction is unexpected to Louis as she only started her new job.

There's one thing Louis is planning on doing and it's to act like a kind hearted Admiral before getting to know more about the kanmusu; a fake kindness, considering she barely knows these shipgirls.

"Oh, so you're Inazuma. Well, it's nice to meet you too. I hope you're doing well on your…" Pausing as Louis had no instructions on being an Admiral which can be a headache for her to do. "Um…"

"Right! I'll do my best studying and training, nanodesu! Thank you, Teitoku!" Inazuma bows again after interrupting and sprint from the office by the door. "I hope you're being nice to us."

Closing the door, Louis is baffled by their behaviour towards her. Why do the shipgirls hate her? Is Inazuma the only girl who doesn't hate her or is she one of them?

Picking up a marked chair and taking a seat, Louis witnessed a table with a lot of scratches as well as a lot of writing that insults a lot of Admirals. Sighing as Louis took the paper and read the terms and conditions of being an Admiral.

"Let's hope I'm not another one of their victims to either die or be driven away, just because I got this job."

Before putting a pen on a paper, a door had slammed open which showed a couple of girls in matching green uniforms, but one brunette, which is Ooi and the other is black hime cut with a braid, which is Kitakami.

"Another Teitoku!? You're kidding me, right!?" Ooi expresses a harsher response to a new Admiral who was sitting in front of her.

"Relax, Ooi-cchi. I get that Teitoku are bad news, but once we investigate this newbie, I'll make sure that she's one of them." Kitakami said calmly while glaring at the new Admiral who's holding a pen.

Louis dropped the pen and stood from her seat while saluting to a couple of shipgirls.

Kitakami is the first to introduce herself; "Kuma class light cruiser Kitakami, it's nice to meet 'ya." With a false smile as she too is acting nice towards the Admiral.

"I'm Kuma class light cruiser Ooi. Please… To make… Your acquaintance." Ooi twitches while introducing herself without lashing out on Louis.

"It's nice to meet the both of you too. I hope for you two to be strong." Said the Admiral, Louis, who was now acting again.

The atmosphere has gotten this uncomfortable after the introduction with Kitakami and Ooi, especially Kitakami who is staring at Louis blankly without any action.

"Well, I'm glad that we introduced ourselves. See ya." Kitakami's mood changes again by keeping that positive vibe in front of their new Admiral.

"Wait, that's it!?" Louis exclaimed and then hung her head down while confused. "Why are you girls this hostile towards me? I'm only new to this place!"

After Louis' complaint, Ooi had clenched her fist on the Admiral's collar, which caused the said admiral to look straight into a shipgirl's eyes in shock.

"Listen, just because you're new here, doesn't mean I'm trusting you more than the abyssal fleet." Growled Ooi, squeezing the collar as both heads are closer to each other.

"You knew about it, didn't you?" Louis may not be able to tell, but she thought that Ooi must've caught her trying to scrap them all.

"Don't know. Touch Kitakami-chan, and I'll send you to the abyss and sink you, got it?" Ooi then let go of Louis and turned away towards the door. "Good luck ordering us around, Teitoku." Ooi then slams the door closed.

Dropping to her knees, Louis couldn't believe that she's caught attempting to scrap as well as being threatened by someone she's supposed to care for.

"Oh… So that's what happened to the guy from earlier? Damn." Hanging her head again, this time it's being hated on by her peers as well as being threatened.

What could've made them go against their Admirals like this?

The time is meeting time luckily, Louis is standing by the sea as well as watching it. The breeze is calm as the sun reflects the water which led Louis to relax after the fiasco from earlier.

"I hope this is the right job. Grandpa, is this where you used to work?"

Looking at her glove palm as she's trying to hold her true persona without being caught.

The situation she's put through is ridiculous; ships that are human looking beings and something called 'abyssal fleet' that Ooi said earlier is giving Louis a massive headache. It's going to take a lot more research and investigation about those around her and their previous Admirals.

"Hm? It's cold." Said the Admiral after witnessing a freezing bottle of water held by a brunette.

"Ehehe, I know." Mutsuki giggled as she took a seat next to Louis with her own bottle of water.

"Let me guess: you wanted to kill me or you hate me as Teitoku?"

"Hm? What do you mean?"

"Huh?"

Mutsuki is uninterested in causing harm towards her new Admiral and instead sits by the ocean with her.

"I guess you're the new Teitoku that everyone's talking about."

"Oh now I'm popular! Geez, I'll give them their freaking autograph! Bunch of weirdos if ya ask me." Louis couldn't take this fleet as she'll end up as other Admirals from the past; leave this place and never come back.

"You don't look like a bad person. I can tell that you wanted to help us." Mutsuki can tell after hearing her fellow shipgirls debating about their new Admiral as most assume that she's like them; a horrible piece of human garbage.

"What the hell? I came here to win against the enemy and scrap the whole lot of you." Louis finally admitted her truth towards Mutsuki.

Giggling as Mutsuki patted Louis' back and picked herself up from the ground.

"You're just like that different Teitoku from a long time ago. He used to say that when he first got here: 'I'll scrap the whole lotta ya once we win this war against the abyssals,' yet he did a lot to protect all of us. You might be the same."

"Well, at least he did a better job than the rest of them including me." Said Louis who then crouched with both her legs closer to chest while sitting at the same spot.

Slowly, Louis realised that there's some shipgirls who're nicer to her than others and Mutsuki is one of the nice ones, assuming Inazuma could also be another one.

"Hey, could you tell me your name? You know, a ship, what are you?"

"Hm? Oh I see how it is." Mutsuki put up a smug while bending over towards Louis. "Okay! Mutsuki class destroyer, Mutsuki! Let's work together, Teitoku." After saluting, Mutsuki bends down again and reaches her hand towards her new Admiral.

While both Louis and Mutsuki reach towards each other, a humanoid creature with her fellow monsters are exposing their heads who are the abyssal submarines.

"They finally got a teitoku." The Ka-class submarine whispered.

"So now what?" Asked the So-class who's excited to fight their enemies again.

"Well, judging by our kill count, it's very low due to the kanmusus taking our kill!" Pointing out the issue they had earlier there's one thing they have in common and what they needed.

"Does that mean!?"

"We attack! Send in the torpedoes!"

A couple of I-class destroyers roared, doing as Ka-class says, they released their torpedoes as they charged towards both Mutsuki and Louis.

Gasping, Mutsuki heard something from underwater while desperately shoving Louis so hard that the admiral had been forced to move, before…

"What the!? Mutsuki!"

A booming explosion had hit the very same area where they used to sit.

"What the hell…" Louis turned her head towards a couple of girls and monsters as the situation she's in had already begun.

"TEITOKU!"

"SINK! SINK TO THE ABYSS!"

"What is this!?"

These are the 'abyssal fleet' that Ooi had mentioned earlier. She had finally discovered some bad news right in front of her.

Before pulling out her hand pistol, an unknown 'meteor' had crashed onto the abyssal group, causing a massive explosion right in front of a powerless Admiral.

"Who did that?" Louis can obviously tell that these 'meteor' are from a cannon, but what type of shipgirl did this.

One lucky abyssal, I-class destroyer walked on the ground, then roared by dashing towards Louis.

"Go away!" Shouted Louis while raising her glock at a monster.

"Please! Stop fighting!" A familiar childish voice shouted.

A couple of cannon shells blast on an I-class destroyer's torso, which sprays blood on Louis' upper half and afterwards explodes right in front of her.

"Ah…" Louis had no words to say.

"Hawawawa! I'm sorry, Teitoku!" Dashing down the stairs is Inazuma who destroyed an abyssal right in front of Louis.

"No, it's okay. You and Mutsuki saved my life." Louis sounded calm after witnessing what shipgirls' priorities are.

Now things are getting interesting for her.

"Are you not scared of blood, nanodesu?"

"No… I'm more interested in this dog eat dog war." Lied Louis as she's getting less expressive as time went on, meaning she's mentally scarred.

"Anyway, how's Mutsuki-chan?"

Inazuma gives off a wakeup call for Louis to check on what happened earlier. And the view isn't as bright as earlier.

If she hadn't sat there with the abyssals nearby, then none of this would have happened to Mutsuki.

"Oh god, what have I done?" Louis dropped down again while watching a grey fog of smoke that slowly clears up. "Why, Mutsuki? Why do you have to die like this!? It was supposed to be my job!" Louis is bursting out tears by regretting everything.

As Inazuma watched the smoke clearing, she then put her hand on the admiral's shoulder.

"She's not sunk yet. She's heavily damaged, nanodesu." Said Inazuma as the fog clears off.

Inazuma was correct, Mutsuki is still alive yet was badly injured and damaged, judging by the torn clothes and scrape marks. Louis is relieved that a shipgirl is still alive as she hugged Mutsuki.

"Ooh… Owee, it hurts." Groaning as Mutsuki picks herself up after she felt a grip that was a little tight on her. "Hm? Eh!? Teitoku!?" Mutsuki exclaimed while blushing about being hugged by an Admiral. "Um… You can let go of me now." Then slowly became shy about this.

"I guess you're not a bad Teitoku after all, nanodesu." Inazuma sighed.

"Whatever, I'm glad you're still safe." The most honest thing that Louis said ever since what happened earlier, she's slowly letting go and pulling her glasses up. "Well, I guess it's time to show me how this system works. How does this base work?"

"Ah-"

"Hold on! I think I'm gonna…" Interrupting Inazuma as Louis is holding her breath until, "BLEAURGH!" She starts to puke after not only seeing something gruesome about an abyssal monster being killed, but was stained in its blood also.

"TEITOKU!"

"TEITOKU, NANODESU!"

Standing at the balcony is a brunette with cannons on her rigging as both of them had finally cleared off the smoke. Turning 180 degrees, she sees a couple of girls that are her sister class, Yuudachi and Harusame, as the one with cannons is Shigure.

"I thought you were going to leave them. Looks like someone's protecting Teitoku, poi?" Yuudachi teases Shigure by poking her face and getting too close to her.

"I'm not protecting Teitoku, I'm only exterminating these creatures who killed my friends, didn't I tell you that a thousand times?" Shigure sighed, pushing Yuudachi's hand and walking away from the viewpoint.

"Yeah, yeah, you said it 'a thousand times,' come on, nee-chan, I'm not that stupid, poi!"

Sighing again, Shigure had caught a glance at Harusame who was still watching the naval base which led her to say this: "If you want to go back to this place, then you're welcome to try."

Harusame turned towards Shigure with a surprised expression as she could finally see her friends again, but didn't want to leave her sister.

"Shigure nee-san..."

"But that doesn't mean that I'm going back to join you." Said Shigure.

Despite what Shigure said, Harusame salutes her sister while looking determined.

"Then I hope you'll come back to us, Shigure nee-san." Harusame smiled at Shigure and sprinted off to the base as the sun was about to set soon.

"You can join her if you want." Shigure said to Yuudachi while strolling up the hill with her cannon rigging and carrying it like a bag as it's fading.

Yuudachi now has 2 choices: follow Shigure or Harusame, and the 3rd option is to split up and run away.

"Why're you such a pushover, poi?" Yuudachi pouts as she decides as she's no longer staying with Shigure anymore, but instead running downhill by following Harusame.

Now Yuudachi is more worried about Shigure's disconnection towards the naval base and why she hates Admirals that much.

Sometimes there needs to be a reunion as a fellow shipgirl pointed out.

The beach restaurant where many people eat together and sitting on a table where no one's at is a white haired girl wearing a summer dress and hat with shades on while covering her face.

"I heard they got a new Teitoku. And our comrades are killed by the kanmusus."

[Oh? That means we can get back to targeting our enemy and their Teitoku. Good job, Licorice. Return to base at once.]

"Yes, nee-san." Licorice hung up from her phone and then paid up for what she had. "Thank you for the meal."

Later at the beach, the dress was left on the sand, the hat was blowing away and the shades dropped on the sand, showing off a pale girl with horns and red eyes, standing at the beach by approaching and patting a muscular monster's head that belonged to someone else.

The monster then carries Licorice into the ocean to where she lived.

"Well then, let the games begin." Licorice said with a smug, as the battle will begin soon.

"Welcome back, Teitoku."
