Chapter 2: That night

"Plagg, can you believe it?! After so many months of getting rejected, she finally fell for me!" Adrien threw himself on his bed with the biggest smile. Finally, she admitted her feelings for him. All the waiting had been worth it.

Plagg scoffed, "Yeah, yeah, whatever." He said dismissively as he flew towards his cabinet. "Took her long enough," he murmured in-between pieces of his camembert.

Adrien rolled his eyes. He stayed there for a few minutes thinking of everything. After hearing her say that she actually did have feelings for him... All they had to do was wait until Hawkmoth was defeated. Therefore they would retrieve the two missing Miraculous, simple. It gave him so much motivation. He wanted so badly to defeat Hawkmoth and get this over with, now more than ever. They could eventually get together. He could be with her now. He could now be forever happy with the love of his life. And finally, he would get to know who this amazing girl was under the mask…

"Anyways, can you order some more camembert? I'm running low and I need to restock." Adrien turned to look at his kwami.

"Plagg, are you serious? I bought you some last week! You finished it already?" Plagg nodded as he continued eating his remaining pieces of cheese. Adrien rolled his eyes and got up to get ready for bed. He couldn't sleep though. All he could think about was what Ladybug had told him. She never left his mind.

Flashback from earlier…

Ladybug arrived at the usual rooftop where she and Cat Noir met up every other night before patrol. He was already there waiting for her. He was sitting along the edge with his legs dangling out humming to himself.

"Hey, bugaboo." he greeted her.

"Hey, kitty."

"Ready to go m'lady?" Cat Noir asked as he was about to grab his stick from his back.

"No, I actually called you here for a different reason. I wanted to talk to you about something." Ladybug said nervously as she sat down next to him.

"Oh? Well, I'm all ears m'lady." Cat Noir said, eager to hear what she wanted to tell him.

"Well, I wanted to talk to you about...us.." Ladybug responded shyly, looking down at her fidgeting fingers.

"Ooh, has m'lady finally fallen fur me?" Cat Noir smirked

"Well actually, that is... what I was going to talk to you about…" Ladybug said, her voice getting smaller and shaky as she spoke. She didn't think she would be this nervous to tell him. Cat Noir sat there shocked with wide eyes, he was speechless.

"I think after all this time, I've realized that I have always had feelings for you. Each day when I see you, my feelings for you get stronger." Ladybug finally looked up at him.

"But… but I thought you said you were in love with somebody else." Cat Noir was still shocked by everything she was telling him. Was his dream finally coming true? She was confessing her love to him...

"I was, but I was so blinded by my love for him, that I didn't realize you were right here all along. I never admitted my feelings to him though. But I understood recently how much you actually mean to me, and how much you love me." Ladybug said with a soft smile on her face.

"I, um, I had no idea you felt like that, m'lady…" Cat Noir gazed down for a moment. "So, what does this mean for us now?" He looked back at her.

"I...I don't know…" she whispered, her voice almost sounded hoarse. She glanced down again. She knew what they both wanted and it pained her.

He lifted her chin to make her look at him again. He stared at her beautiful bluebell eyes with his green ones. "I'm glad you finally realized just how much I love you. Since the moment I saw you, I knew I was in love with you. I would love to spend the rest of my life with you. I would be the happiest kitty in the world. We can finally be happy together… if you'll... have me?" Cat Noir brushed a piece of her hair out of her face and started to slowly lean in.

"No kitty..."
