She knew when she got into work she wouldn't be able to look him in the eyes, she was so embarrassed. She knew Toby was bound to make a million jokes at her and Walter's expense as well.
Paige had hit the cocktails hard when she'd arrived at the club with her girl friends in a bid to forget. She couldn't get angry at her friend for what had happened at the Garage though- she was trying to help in her own (admittedly brash) way- she would however blame her for the pounding pain in her head- it was her after all that had brought the vodka shots late in the night by way of apology. She was hoping by the time she got to work the dyralite and pain relief she'd taken would kick in.
Paige was tempted to call in sick (both out of embarrassment and because of her hangover) but she knew Scorpion were already one team member down-Tim had left her a very detailed voicemail about what Walter could do with his job and how he was welcome to her.
When she arrived at the garage it was quieter than she expected. She breathed a sigh of relief as she noted she was the first to arrive for the day. Figuring she should catch up on some paperwork she poured herself a coffee and made her way to her desk- where she found Walter waiting for her.
The colour drained from her face and she braced herself for what he was about to say. He wasn't smiling, but he wasn't frowning either and she was thrown when he did actually speak- looking at her quizzically as he asked...
"Whose Elyes Gable?"
