Liam arrived late to the meeting, which had become pretty usual. With a soda in hand he scurried by everyone's cars, stopping by an all too familiar truck. Glancing in the back seat he noticed there was a wadded-up pillow and blanket. Reality slapped him like a brick, Theo had been living in his truck. That's why he always had an excuse when he needed to leave early, or why Liam could never come to his house. Anger flared, then sadness crept in. Theo was truly alone. While he was already late, Liam decided it was worth it to make a quick phone call to his mom.

Liam came into the door and apologetically smiled at Scott, then made way to the open spot on the couch next to Theo.

"You missed the whole announcement" The older boy whispered, a sad tinge in his voice.

"Sorry, I was on the phone with my mom. By the way she invited you over for dinner tonight." Not a lie, Jenna had instantly agreed to dinner, as well as moving Theo into the guest room. Glancing over, he could see the wheels turning.

"I am just saying she's making enchiladas." He sent a smile to the chimera. Theo bit his lip then returned the smile, averting his eyes.

"Enchiladas? Who can argue with that?"

"Glad you can see it my way for once." They sat quietly, listening to Scott ramble on.

"And…I'm sorry I missed the announcement, but I am glad you're here." Liam smiled and looked away, hoping his heartrate didn't spike, why was he so nervous?

The meeting went on for another hour until everyone said their goodbyes and headed out the door.

"Where's your car?" Theo asked, looking around the driveway.

"Oh, its in the shop, I just walked."

"Okay, well hop in."

Liam hopped in the passenger seat of the truck and watched the older boy as he jumped in, a new soft spot in his heart.

The ride to the Dunbar household was quiet, but a comfortable quiet. Liam ignored how their arms kept brushing against each other on the console.

Dinner was pleasant as usual when Theo came over, his parents had already liked him before they knew the truth.

Then the boys went up to the younger wolfs room to play video games.

After the third loss, Theo cleared his throat.

"It's getting kind of late, I should probably head out of here."

"Wait, there is something I need to ask you, but please do not get mad."

There was no response, just glaring so intense it could cut glass.

"So…I um, I know you are living in your truck…" Liam began, immediately the chimera's heartrate picked up.

"I just wanted to ask you to move in with me. We have a guest room, and it is already set up for you, my mom and dad are totally cool with it."

"Liam…I don't think that is a good idea, I … you shouldn't trust me living in the same house as you, plus I am fine with my truck."

"Theo, I do trust you. And I...I care about you and I want to know that you are safe with people who care about you." Liam slowly moved closer.

"Please stay." He looked up with the bright blue eyes, and Theo knew he had no chance fighting, and he was so tired, how could he say no?

"Okay."

"I know you- wait what, okay? Like you're going to stay?" The smile that graced the little wolfs face made Theo start to melt. This was going to end terribly.

"Yeah, I will stay." Liam jumped up and wrapped his arms around the chimera's neck. Slowly his arms snaked around the smaller boys' waist. They stayed like that for a few seconds, then the blue-eyed boy pulled back.

"Uhh, yeah so let me show you the room." He hurried out of the room, but Theo couldn't ignore the coldness he felt as soon as he pulled away, instantly craving the touch again.

Theo headed to his new bedroom, a smile plastered on his face that had no intentions of leaving anytime soon.
