The Commander looked at the new ship girl that just appeared right in front of him. He blinked his eyes several times and even pinch himself to make sure that this was all a dream. He doesn't know the ship girl right in front of him, but he was still shocked that it just appeared from the Wisdom Cube like it's nothing. Meanwhile, Missouri had a shocked expression planted on her face. She couldn't believe the sight that she's seeing right now.
This ship girl has a slender figure with a medium bust and long smooth blue hair with purple tints. Her pink eyes were revealed as soon as she opened them. She wore a black collared sleeveless, blue and white dress. Her rigs are what appeared to be simple, but very unique as she carries a pistol with two triple barrel turrets.
"Helena?" Missouri asked astonished.
"Missouri?" Helena looked down at her hands and her rigs. "Is this real? I'm...I'm alive?" She looked back at Missouri with tears appearing underneath her eyes. "I'm alive!" She exclaimed happily as she ran towards Missouri and embraced her tightly. The Commander blinked his eyes several times before smiling down at them. This is the sight he wanted to see for a long time. Reuniting with someone that you know and love after being gone for a long time, but the thing is...he had no idea who is Helena. The commander gazed over her carefully. From the looks of it, she was wearing some sort of one-sided headphone, which is quite rare because he usually gives the ship girls ear buds, so he can communicate them.
"Um..." The Commander started, catching Helena's attention. "H-Hello...how are you?"
Missouri giggled at the Commander's signature greeting. She remembered the first time when he arrived at Azur Lane. He had trouble introducing himself to strangers, which she finds cute.
"Commander, this is Helena. Helena, this is the commander of Azur Lane" she stated. Helena immediately turned around before putting her feet together, straightening her posture and saluting him.
"Nice to meet you, Commander, I'm Helena. My strong suit is enemy reconnaissance. Please...guide us towards victory" she introduced herself.
'Reconnaissance?! That is good...extremely good and useful for the fleet' he thought.
"Nice to meet you, Helena," he said. He paused for a second. 'How did she get sunk?' Missouri knew what he was thinking since he didn't know about the ships who got sink during the event.
"Helena got sunk at Gula Gulf by the Sakura Empire's destroyers during a mission" she stated, making Helena frown.
"Yeah...if only my recon could help the rest..." The Commander knew what she was feeling. She was feeling that it was her fault that they lost that battle. The commander began walking up to her before putting his hand on her shoulder gently.
"Don't worry, I'll guide you to victory. After all, the war between the Crimson Axis and Azur Lane has ended, and I'm the one who's keeping all the factions together in Azur Lane. Okay?"
Helena began to smile when he said that because it warmed her heart.
"Yes sir," said Helena with a smile. The Commander blushed slightly after seeing her cute smile.
'Kawaii!'
Then, there was a knock on the door.
"Come in" he shouted again. The door opened up, revealing Belfast carrying a tray in her hands.
"I'm back Maste-" Belfast stopped for a moment when she noticed Helena. "Oh, I had never seen you before," she said, walking towards the commander and setting the tray right in front of him.
"Thanks, Belfast," he said to her, making her smile.
"No problem, Master." The Commander started eating his breakfast while having a conversation with Helena carefully. The commander finds out that the headphone she was wearing is an SG radar and understands why recon is her strong suit. He told her that she doesn't need to worry about her experience because he would be there in every battle and be the eyes of the fleet, which warmed Helena's heart from hearing that a lot. Belfast and Missouri started to explain to her about the recent events that happened after her death. Meanwhile, the Commander kept his eyes on Missouri and Belfast, so they didn't bring up his embarrassing moments after he joined Azur Lane. He didn't even want to talk about it either, but certainly, the girls do love talking about it.
After several minutes, Helena had to leave the office with Missouri, so she can take off her rigs at the port and reunite with her sisters. As much as he wanted to see their beautiful reunion, he's got a meeting to go. Belfast bowed down and began taking the tray away before leaving the office and head downstairs. The commander sighed heavily and locked the door behind him.
He began walking down the hallway before looking outside the window to find girls hanging around the area as they enjoy their lives. It puts a huge smile on his face and wishes he could get a better look up close.
The commander then noticed a Sakura Empire girl, wearing an admiral suit, carrying a katana in the sheath, and have a ponytail black hairstyle with a white ribbon; walking down the hallway. The Commander then formed an evil grin on his face before sneaking up on her. Atago always told him that Takao is little on the edge of every jump scares, but she's not a big fan when it comes to scary stuff.
Takao didn't even notice him sneaking up on her. She was so focused on her path that the Commander was right behind her. The commander had the widest grin that anyone could see from a mile away.
Then, the commander started making these haunting croaking sounds. Takao stopped walking and gasped loudly with her pupils shrunk into a size of an atom.
"KYAHHHHH KAYAKO!" Takao screamed. She brought out her katana and swiftly slice whatever that's behind her. At the same time, the commander ducked down, knowing that she's going for the head, but it made it worse. Takao saw a figure on the floor and screamed once again as she kicked it.
"ARGH" the Commander groaned in pain loudly as he went flying across the hallway. Takao opened her eyes and stood there with her katana in her hand shivering. She was ready to strike down the ghost now she has a weapon with her. When she landed her eyes on the commander who was slowly sliding down the wall with his face, she gasped and put her Katana into her scabbard before running towards him.
"Shikikan!" As soon as Takao got up to him, the Commander has a red footprint from her kick with a smile on his face. Takao sighed in relief, knowing that Ju-on is not real, but for the commander; he regretted scaring Takao and almost got killed considering her superhuman strength. He should've known from her getting all jumpy whenever the commander put his hand on her shoulder to get her attention or scaring her in general. He didn't think she got that scared to the point of knocking his head off with one blown, and now...he learned his lesson.
Takao sighed once again before speaking out. "Shikikan, you know that's very dangerous for you to sneaking up on girls and scaring them. I could've killed you in one hit."
"I-I...I learned my lesson" he stuttered painfully.
"I-I can take you to the medical bay" Takao stated worriedly, knowing that kick rocked his world. But the commander stood up on his feet with a smile before rubbing his face.
"No worries. I'm good."
"Uh...you sure Shikikan? You might as well go right now because I know for sure I kicked you hard considering that I'm not good with scary stuff, especially Kayako from Ju-on" she explained.
"Yeah, I know. Atago told me about it" he replied, smiling.
"Wait...Atago told you?!"
"Yep, she told me that a few days ago, you couldn't even stand on watching Ju-on with her that you even busted the TV." Takao just dropped her jaws in shock that her sister would do that. Who is she kidding? Atago loves to tease people, especially Takao.
"Well, thank you for telling me cause I'm going to knock some sense into her" Takao growled. The commander chuckled nervously, and he was glad that it was not his fault. That kick was something else, and he didn't even want to taste of it either. "So, where are you heading?"
"I'm trying to find my other secretaries to tell them that we're going to have a meeting with the leaders" he replied, walking with Takao.
"I think I saw that Ironblood destroyer with violet-purple eyes" Takao stated. "What was her name again?"
"Z23, Ironblood's strongest destroyer."
"Yes, that's her name. I saw her near the munition." The commander nodded his head in response before saying thank you to the heavy cruiser. Takao looked outside of the window and smiled. "It's sure is beautiful today." The commander looked out of the window and began to smile along with her.
"Yeah, hopefully, there's nothing crazy going on. I don't want to have another battle with the Sirens and write down the reports."
"Did you stay up last night?" The Commander gave her a sheepishly smile and looked away from her. Takao rolled her eyes when he said that. He always stays up all night and writing down reports before unconsciously changing his clothes and went to sleep...late. "Shikikan, you need to learn how to take your health. I'm serious."
"Sorry Takao, I just don't want to get scold by my superiors." Takao sighed and put her hand on her face before shaking her head from side to side.
"This is how you killed your army, but anyways should I inform this meeting to Nagato?"
"Yes, please." Takao nodded her head and went in separate directions as soon as she turned left into a different hallway that leads towards the Sakura Empire's dormitory. The Commander let out a sigh of relief before rubbing his pained face on his way towards the Munition.
Meanwhile, Z23 was gathering the materials and inspecting them. She wanted to see if these materials would help other ships to be prepared for future battles and give advice to other ships in the class. Z23 was one of his secretaries. His first pick to be exact before realizing what does it mean to be a secretary. At first, he decided to pick girls who are responsible and professional to be his secretary. But then Z23 told him that everyone is responsible and being a secretary is a special position who spends most of their time with the Commander, which he got embarrassed for not knowing but it was not his fault.
Thanks to her, he wouldn't have any idea what he's been doing the whole time. Z23 had been helping out with the Commander since the beginning, teaching him the life in Azur Lane.
Speaking about the Commander, he was just in time before Z23 got the chance to leave the Munition. Z23 looked up to find the Commander slowly walking up to her while rubbing his face.
"Guten tag Kommandant" Z23 greeted him with a smile on her face.
"Hey Nimi" he greeted her back, making her blushed a little bit at the Commander for using her nickname that was given by her friends.
"So what brings you here? Is it because you need help with the paperwork or...?"
"No, I just came here to inform you about a meeting with the leaders and wanted you to let Bismarck know about it" he stated.
"Oh, what's the meeting about?" She asked him curiously.
"You'll see Nimi. If I tell you about it, you wouldn't be able to attend the meeting because you would be in my office or in the library to find more clues."
"Yeah. That's true."
"Well, I will see you later in the meeting." Z23 nodded her head, and she began walking away towards the Ironblood side of the island. The Commander had so many things to do to get ready for the meeting. He was looking forward to this and couldn't wait to end this war as soon as possible before it was too late.
This might be not a fun chapter, but it's slowly progressing to be a good story, which is why I decided to take slow. I'm still learning about Azur Lane as much as I can to get a better knowledge of the franchise. Hopefully, I would be able to create another story for this franchise in the future. It might take longer to update this story because it's May, the time where students have to study their butts off for the final exam. Anyways, what did you guys think? What will happen next? I'm TheRavenMocker. Be a raven, mock the ravens. We'll see you guys on the next flight.
