Penguin HQ

(Skipper's POV)

"Skipper you asked for us?" Kowalski asked as he lined up in front of my desk with Private and Rico.

"Attention," I said.

Kowalski, Rico, and Private quickly stood at attention.

"Now," I said, "In light of my..."

I lift up my bandaged flipper, "...injury. I have decided that we need a new way to continue operations. We need to change the way we do missions until further notice."

"You mean," Kowalski said.

"Yes, We need..."

"Remote controlled robots!?" Kowalski losing all professionalism.

"No," I said, "And did I say at ease?"

"Uh," Kowalski composing himself, "No sir."

"At ease soldiers," I said as they relaxed, "I have decided to utilize my surveillance system."

"I'll sit here at this desk monitoring these screens," I said pointing to the wall of screens behind and at either side of me.

I swivel around in the desk chair and face the screens, "The three of you will patrol the zoo."

"And when I see something out of the ordinary I will direct you to that area," I said, "Keep your radios on and at the ready boys."

I picked up the walkie on the desk and hit the "push-to-talk" button, "This is Feather 1, Feather 1 to all agents, radio check repeat radio check, are you all receiving me, over."

I heard my voice blare out of the other three radios, "Feather 1 this is Scienceboy 2," Kowalski said into his walkie, "I read you loud and clear, over."

"Roger that, Scienceboy 1, over," I said, "Ka-boom 3, are you receiving me, over."

"Blah. Over," Rico said.

"Ten-four," I replied, "Lunacorn 4, Lunacorn 4, What is your radio status, over."

"Read you loud and clear Feather 1," Private replied, "over."

"This is Feather 1, standby for further instruction, over," I said.

"So," I said putting down the radio, "I need the three of you to move out! Do you understand?"

"Affirmative," Private said.

"Blah," Rico said.

"Roger Wilco," Kowalski said.

"Good," I said, "You have your assignments and your radios?"

"Affirmative," Kowalski, Private, and Rico said holding up their walkies.

"Then move out and keep your radios on," I said, "Commence Operation: Communication!"

"Yes sir," Kowalski said.

"Dismissed," I said sitting back down as my team rush out of the base.

A waited a few minutes and turned on my radio, "Boys, call in, over," I said.

"Feather 1, Feather 1, this is Scienceboy 2, over," Kowalski said.

"Feather 1, Feather 1, this is Lunacorn 4, over," Private said.

" 'eather 1, 'eather 1, blah ba Ka-boom 3, over," Rico said.

"Are you all receiving me, over," I replied.

"Affirmative, over."

"Ten-blah, over."

"Roger, over." Private said.

"Keep your radios on, standby for further instruction, out," I said releasing the talk button.

I then listened to my team's radio chatter as I turn towards the surveillance screens.

"Scienceboy 2, Scienceboy 2, This is Lunacorn 4, come in, over," Private said.

"Lunacorn 4, this is Scienceboy 2, go ahead, over," Kowalski said.

I suddenly sat up when I saw some rat activity near Marlene's habitat which Kowalski was the nearest to, "Break, Break, Break, Feather 1, I have a emergency message for Scienceboy 2, Do you copy, over."

"I copy, over," Kowalski said.

"There is Rat activity near Marlene's repeat Rats near Mike Alpha Romeo Lima Echo November Echo, over," I said.

"Roger that, Over," Kowalski replied.

"I want you to investigate and respond if necessary, over," I said.

"Wilco, over," Kowalski said as I watch him slide over to Marlene's.

"Uh, Feather 1, Feather 1, this is Lunacorn 4, over" Private said.

"Go ahead Lunacorn 4, over," I said.

"Uh I am patrolling the staff area, over" Private said.

"What do you have to report, over," I said.

"The Automatic Feeding Systems is been overhauled, over," Private said.

"About time, over," I said.

"Mayday, Mayday, Mayday," Private said, "I'm stuck in a corner and Alice is approaching repeat Alice is approaching, over."

"Lunacorn 1, What's your twenty, over," I said.

"North-west corner of the Zoo Offices, over," Private said.

"Can you slip away, over," I said as I turn my focus to the CCTV feed of that area.

"Not without being seen, over," Private said.

"Standby Lunacorn 4, I'll find you a distraction, over," I said.

"Standing by, over," Private said.

"Scienceboy 2, Scienceboy 2, Sit Rep, Over," I said.

"Feather 1, The Rats have been dealt with, over," Kowalski said.

"I need you to draw Alice away from Private's location, over," I said.

"What is Lunacorn 4's location, over," Kowalski said.

"North-west corner of sector Zulu Oscar repeat Zulu Oscar, over," I said.

"Copy that, over," Kowalski said.

"Good, I need you to distract, Alice," I said.

"Say again, Feather 1, you want me to run a distraction, over," Kowalski said.

"Affirmative, do you copy, over," I said.

"Roger Wilco, over," Kowalski said.

I turn to the wall of screens to see Kowalski's approaching the Zoo Offices from the opposite corner of Private. Zookeeper Alice was yelling into her walkie probably chewing out Zookeeper Maurice for some stupidity. Kowalski slides over to her and stands in front of her. Alice releases the PTT button on her walkie and points at Kowalski.

"What are you doing out of your habitat?" Alice said.

Kowalski then shrugs and slide at Alice going through her feet. Alice is knocked over as Kowalski make his escape. Alice gets up and chases after Kowalski, I look at their chase through the camera feeds with disinterest as I pick up my radio again and push the talk button.

"Lunacorn 4, Lunacorn 4, This is Feather 1, come in, over," I said.

"Feather 1 this is Lunacorn 4, Go ahead, over," Private said.

"Kowalski is leading Alice away, over," I said.

"Come again, over," Private said the nerves apparent in his voice.

"You got your distraction, watch your six, retreat, over," I said.

"Roger," Private said.

"I will be in contact, out," I replied.

Meanwhile

(Hans' POV)

I was enjoying some freshly caught Cod when my radio suddenly sparked to life, "Puffin 9, Puffin 9, This is Dolphin 5, come in if you value your life, over," Blowhole's voice said.

"Dolphin 5, This is Puffin 9, What's up Dr. Mammal-fish, over," I said.

"Break, Break, Break, This is Red 1, why is my callsign the same as my name, over," Red One said.

"Red One, how many times do I have to tell you Break, Break, Break is for emergency messages only!" Blowhole said, "Over!"

"I'll go back to doing the three impossible things you asked me to do, over," Red one said.

"Red 1, SIGN OFF, over" Blowhole said.

"Over and out," Red One said before signing off the channel.

"You know others can hear you right," Parker said.

"Use the proper format, over," Blowhole said.

"Dolphin 5, This is Youbetterpaymeforthis 25, you are not paying me enough for this, out," Parker said.

"Urgh," Blowhole said.

"Anyway, I don't think their going to be anymore interruptions, over," Blowhole said.

"Can we restart this conversation, over," I said.

"Fine, This is Dolphin 5, Over and Out," Blowhole said.

I waited a few minutes and then another message came in.

"Puffin 9, Puffin 9, This is Dolphin 5, come in, over," Blowhole said.

"Dolphin 5, This is Puffin 9, Go Ahead, over," I said.

"Puffin 9, Initiate Plan Delta Zulu, over," Blowhole said.

I smirked evilly, "Roger Wilco, over."

"Do you remember the plan, over," Blowhole said.

"Ten-four, Over." I said.

"Do not fail me, Dolphin 5, over and out," Blowhole said before signing off.

Shortly

(Red One's POV)

"Where is that Puffin," Parker asked, "I am not being paid to wait around!"

Chromeclaw, the octopi, and my fellow lobsters watched him cautiously as he paced. Nobody wants to get hit by a toxic spur today... Nobody.

"Well he does have to get all the way here from Hoboken," I said.

"Don't care," Parker said as the Puffin appeared.

"Guten Tag!" Hans said, "what did I miss?"

"Nothing," Parker said with a insincere smile.

"Okay them," Hans said pulling out a device and pushing a button, "Let's begin!"

(Skipper's POV)

"Kowalski, cut the red wire, over," I said as I watch Kowalski gently move his wire cutters to the red wire of the bomb.

"Come again, over," Kowalski said.

I rolled my eyes, "Do you need to run a radio check, over," I said.

"Can you confirm, you want me to cut the red wire, over," Kowalski said.

"Affirmative," I said as my security feed suddenly cut out.

"Shiitake mushrooms!" I said.

"Feather 1, there are two red wires, over," Kowalski said.

"Improvise!" I said, "I just lost visual on all cameras!"

"Say again," Kowalski said, "You lost all cameras, over."

"Status on bomb, over," I said.

"Bomb Defused, Over," Kowalski said.

"I lost my eyes," I said, "please keep reporting in. Be your own eyes and ears, over."

"Scienceboy 2, I keep in touch Feather 1, out," Kowalski said.

I keep the channel open ready to receive any messages, "Well... I guess the only thing left is to file some reports," I said turning to my computer.

"Skipper's Recap of Incident..."

(Kowalski's POV)

I found Rico arm wrestling one of the gorillas, "Really, Rico?" I said.

"Sorry," Rico said before taking out Bada.

"Well played!" Bing said clapping.

"What?" Bada said, "I thought you said you betted on me."

"I said I betted on the one who was likely to win," Bing said, "It just so happens to not be you. No hard feelings, but it's just business."

"No honor among thieves," I said as Rico walked away.

"Yo, we're not thieves," Bada said approaching me threateningly.

"Yeah, what he said," Bing said cracking his knuckles.

"Did I say thieves," I said as Rico and I backed away, "I meant Legitimate Business people... Bye!"

"Rico," I whispered.

Rico hacked up a smoke bomb and we made our escape.

"Mayday, Mayday, Mayday," Private said over the walkie

"Private," I said, "we're not on a plane or a ship so we don't need to use mayday."

"Whatever!" Private said, "I'm under attack, over!"

"What's your twenty, over," I said as me and Rico started to run.

"By the front gate, over," Private said.

Private then broke proper radio protocols, "Please hurry!"

Suddenly the channel went to static, "Lunacorn 4, do you copy, over," I said trying to remain calm.

I received more static, "Lunacorn 4, Come in, over."

Rico gave me a worried look as more static came in, "Lunacorn 4, do you copy, over."

"Rico," I said, "get something destructive ready. We're going in. TO THE FRONT GATE!"

Rico hacked up a flamethrower as I hit the talk button, "Feather 1, Feather 1, This is Scienceboy 2, Radio check, over," I said.

"This is Feather 1," Skipper said, "I read you loud and clear, Scienceboy 2."

"Unknown hostiles have attacked Private," I said, "Over."

"Standby," Skipper said.

We then heard Skipper try and contact Private over the channel, "Lunacorn 4, Lunacorn 4, This is Feather 1, come in, over," Skipper said.

What came in next over the channel chilled us to the bone, "Feather 1, This is Puffin 9," Hans' voice said, "I'm afraid Private can't respond at the moment, over."

"Hans?" Skipper said.

"Kowalski, Rico, Take him out, over," Skipper said.

"Roger Wilco," I replied.

"I hope you got that Hans," Skipper said, "Feather 1, over and out."

With that Rico and I shut off our walkies and entered radio silence. Rico and I belly-slide towards the front gate. We walked stopped under a bench overlooking the gate. Rico hacked up a pair of binoculars and I quickly scanned the front gate. I quickly found Private tied up near the front gate, Hans was nearby leaned against a wall with his laser weapon.

I turn to Rico, "Let's move in," I whispered.

Rico shook his head and pointing to a Chromeclaw that was trying to hid in a bush. He then pointed to the lobsters waiting just beyond the gate hiding behind some bushes. He then point out the octopi that were camouflaged against the bricks of the gate house. We both failed to notice Parker standing behind us until he tapped us on the shoulders.

Rico turns to the platypus at the same time I did, "Oh hi Parker," I said.

Rico and I jumped and turned towards Parker. I got into a attack stance while Rico started to turn his flamethrower towards the platypus. But it was too late as Parker quickly kicked us with his toxic spurs. The poison took effect and both Rico and I started to pass out. Parker had a victorious smirk as Rico went down his flamethrower clattering to the ground. I hit the talk button on my walkie but Parker quickly kicked it out of my hand as I feel to the ground and passed out. I last thing I saw were a bunch of lobsters and octopi and Hans' knowing half grin.

(Skipper's POV)

Static filled the base, both from the many screens and my walkie talkie. The TV was sitting on it's side in a corner with a broken screen while my desk sat knocked over with papers shattered about. I stood staring at the largest of the static filled surveillance screen. At least the screen could have the decency to show "no signal" or something instead of just static. I even settle for black screens at this point.

I brought the walkie up to my face, "Scienceboy 2, Come in, Scienceboy 2, over," I said.

I got static as the answer, "Ka-boom 3, do you copy, over," I said.

"Lunacorn 4, come in, over," I said.

I narrowed my eyes, "Puffin 9, Puffin 9," I said, "This is Feather 1, Come in, over."

"Hey, don't get you injured flipper in a bunch," Hans replied, "You lost, over."

"Yeah, I lost, over," I said.

"Say again, over," Hans mocked.

"I lost," I said, "But don't think this is the end, over."

I got silence, "Do you understand, over."

"I do not roger that," Hans replied.

"You will surrender now," I said, "over."

"Roger Wilco," Hans sarcastically replied.

"I may be injured," I said, "but I'm coming for you Hans, over."

"Bring it, over," Hans said.

"Over and out," I said before shutting off the walkie and dropping it.

(Kowalski's POV)

I awoke to find myself tied up to Rico and Private, "Well, at least we're relatively safe now," I said.

Hans turns to me as the lobsters and octopi glare at us. Chromeclaw was standing menacingly above us as Parker was leaning against a lamp-post only mildly interested.

"Any last words?" Hans said leveling his laser weapon at my face.

"Inertia is a property of matter," I said.

"Seriously? Those the last words you want to say?" Hans said.

"Yup," I replied.

"Better than is Ununoctium a Nobel gas?" Parker said.

"It totally is," I said.

"Chromeclaw!" Hans said, "Crush them!"

The Chromeclaw let out it's T-rex roar and raised it's metal claw, "Wait!" Private said.

"What?" Hans said holding a flipper up to tell the mutant lobster to wait.

"Don't I get any last words?" Private said.

Suddenly Skipper appeared, "Well Private, you don't have to say any because I'm here."

Skipper then landed a omega boom that knocked the Chromeclaw aside. The mutant lobster tried to get up only for Skipper to corkscrew into it's head. The Chromeclaw let out a pathetic roar as it passed out it's metal claw dropping to the ground with a clang. Parker, Hans, and all the lobsters had their mouths open in shock.

"Skipper!" Private, Rico, and I shouted.

"Skipper you shouldn't be out here with you injury," I scolded.

"Inertia is a property of matter? Really Kowalski," Skipper said, "I expected better last words from you.

"Uh... can you untie us?" Private said.

"Sure," Skipper said.

"SKIPPER!" Hans said.

"Really Hans," Skipper said, "you want to go one on one?"

"Out of my way," Parker said shoving Hans aside, "Lobsters!"

"Yes Parker?" Red One said.

"Attack," Parker said.

Skipper charged at the lobsters that were charging at him. Skipper performed another omega boom knocking out fifty lobsters. A lobster snapped at Skipper's bandaged flipper causing Skipper to cry out in pain. Skipper responded by roundhouse kicking the offending lobster throwing him into his comrades. Skipper then used his uninjured flipper to punch Red One into Parker. Parker dodged as Red One slams into a wall but the distraction was enough for Skipper to sneak up behind him.

Skipper tapped Parker on the shoulder, "What?" Parker said turning around.

"Bye," Skipper said before headbutting the platypus.

"Well played," Parker said as he passes out.

Skipper then proceeded to pummeling the remaining twenty lobsters into submission, "Anyone else?"

Skipper is then hit in the face by a fish, "Hans! That was uncalled for!"

"Shut up and fish fight!" Hans said swiping at Skipper with a fish.

Skipper wacked Hans in the head with his Walkie talkie causing Hans to rear back in pain. Hans kicked Skipper off his feet and swing his fish at him again. Skipper then lasered the head off the fish before somersaulting into Hans's face.

"Who hurts with their feet now?" Skipper said as Hans fell.

Hans got up and pulled his laser weapon off his back, "Careful Skipper," he said, "I could blast your eye out with this thing!"

"You should have watched your six Hans," Skipper said.

"Drop the weapon," I said raising The Plasma Blaster.

"Ooh scary," Hans said.

"Look to your right," Skipper said Activating his taser.

"What?" Hans said turning and finding himself staring down the barrel of Rico's Rocket Launcher.

"Well this is awkward," Hans said.

"You bet," Skipper said as he put on his shades followed by me and Rico.

"What's with the shades?" Hans said.

"Hey Private don't you think this qualifies as a... EMERGENCY!" Skipper said.

"What?" Hans said as Private tapped him on the shoulder.

"What do you want!" Hans said pointing the remains of his fish at him.

"HYPERCUTE!" Private said before performing said move.

There is a flash and Hans falls to the ground with a smirk on his face.

"Now that's a victory," Skipper said, "now let's go home and have some ice cold sushi for dinner!"

"After we check out your Flipper," I said with crossed flippers

"No it's fine," Skipper said.

"Or we could go pay the vet a visit," I said.

"NEEDLES!" Skipper said as he ran off.

Private and Rico glared at me, "What?" I said with a shrug.
