Author's Notes: Hi, readers. Here's chapter two of "If Only." I can't believe I got eight reviews for chapter one. I didn't think that would happen, but I'm happy it did. I want to thank everyone who reviewed. As for other readers, don't hesitate to review. I'd love to hear your ideas for this fic. I made a change to chapter one. I decided to include Scorpina in this fic. She disappeared without warning after Lord Zedd's arrival and reappeared in "Goldar's Vice Versa" following Rocky, Adam, and Aisha's joining the team. Then she vanished due to Sabrina Lu not being able to stay on and another actress not being found in time. I felt it would be best for her to be in this as she was a prominent character in season one of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Stay tuned for chapter three.

Chapter 2: At the Lunar Palace

Clouds rolled over the Lunar Palace at a slow yet steady base around midmorning. Lord Zedd sat in his chair. He tapped his fingers on the arm while moving his hand up his staff. He stopped at the midway point. Goldar and Scorpina played Go Fish while sitting on the balcony stairs. Squatt and Baboo stood near Zedd. They were chatting amongst themselves.

Goldar moved his cards around as Scorpina narrowed her eyes at hers. He scratched his neck, followed by his leg. He looked at her, his breathing soft and steady. She tilted her head a bit as she took a card and placed it in another part of her hand. She touched her forehead before patting the tops of her cards. She licked her lips. He turned back to his hand.

"You got any kings, Goldar?" Scorpina asked.

"I'm sorry, but go fish," Goldar responded with a smirk. He chuckled when she drew a card from the deck. "Do you have any aces?"

"Damn it. I really don't want to give mine up," Scorpina grumbled irritatingly.

"The rules say you must hand them over," Goldar said as he held out his hand. "Give them to me."

Scorpina rolled her eyes before handing her two aces over to Goldar. He put them and his aces down. He looked at his four other matches. He clapped four times while laughing happily.

"I won this game!" Goldar yelled.

"That's the only game you've won," Scorpina pointed out and smirked widely. "I won four games." Smugness showed on her face. "I am the queen of Go Fish."

"Don't start bragging. It will bite you on the ass," Goldar warned in a stern voice. "What you are really queen of is fighting."

Scorpina chuckled to herself. "That's true."

"I will get the cards," Goldar commented in much warmth. "You shouldn't always have to handle them when we play games with them."

"Thank you," Scorpina said as she handed her cards to him, which included three matches. "Just don't let the cards come to life and eat you."

Goldar laughed in much sarcasm. "Very funny."

Goldar gathered the rest of the cards and put them together. He patted them to straighten them. Squatt and Baboo glanced at him and Scorpina as she rose to her feet.

"Goldar and Scorpina are both good at Go Fish," Squatt said in warmth.

"They sure are. I remember when we got Lord Zedd to play with us," Baboo said, a snicker leaving his mouth. "He lost every game we played."

Squatt clapped twice. "We played four games. You won three. I won one. Zedd was a sore loser. He threw his cards down and grumbled about losing."

Zedd glared at him and Baboo. "I heard that, you dimwits! You two think you are such great card players? Maybe I should make each of you play cards against a computer! It would beat both of you hands down."

Zedd snarled menacingly in which it caused Squatt and Baboo to shake badly and cover their faces with their hands. He stood up and approached the stairs. Goldar looked at him as his master went up them. Zedd came to the balcony and grabbed the railing.

"I want to check to see what is going on Earth this time of morning. I am sure it will be much more entertaining than hearing Squatt and Baboo brag about beating me," Zedd said. He shot a red beam from his visor at Earth. He caught sight of Tommy and Kim making love in his bed. He groaned in disgust. "Tommy and Kimberly are getting it on." He turned it off. "Humans love going at it like rabbits. It is so nauseating."

"No shit," Scorpina agreed with an irritated huff. "Then again, they are hardwired to have sex."

"As are most species. It is part of procreating. Without it, they cannot continue," Zedd added.

"So true," Scorpina commented with a nod.

"Engaging in sex does keep Tommy from thinking about losing his powers," Goldar pointed out matter-of-factly.

"Oh, yes," Zedd agreed, looking toward him. "It won't be much longer before he loses them for good."

"He stayed out of battle often, even when Rita was around. He was trying to conserve his powers," Scorpina murmured, coming up the stairs and to her master's side. "When the fight became too much for his teammates to handle, he leapt into action. He was always willing to sacrifice."

"If you ask me, we've let the Rangers have their peace and quiet long enough, my lord," Goldar said, standing up and joining her side. "We should launch an attack on Angel Grove."

"Oh, I agree, my friends," Zedd said, a cackle coming from him. "I need to find a highly dangerous creature to be my next monster."

Zedd turned his head slightly and beamed his visor at Earth. He spotted a tiger walking through a rainforest. It let out a loud roar, causing him to laugh in delight.

"That tiger will make the perfect monster," Zedd commented, his visor going off. He tightened his grip on his staff. "Tigton, it is time to arise and come to my palace!"

Zedd took hold of his staff with both hands. He pointed it directly at Earth in which lightning shot from it. The lightning headed for the tiger, striking and causing it to disappear. It returned to the palace. It hit the floor near the throne. Tigton appeared next to it. He resembled a two-legged tiger. He was very tall with long whiskers. His upper canine teeth were so long that they protruded from his mouth. Claws could be seen on the tips of his fingers and toes. Zedd, Goldar, and Scorpina turned around to face him.

"Tigton is at your service," Tigton said eagerly.

"Oh, he is so handsome," Scorpina said with a giggle. She got an annoyed growl from Goldar. "He's not as handsome as you are, Goldar."

"Thank you," Goldar said, giving her arm a light punch.

"If you punch my arm again, I will honk your nose and pull your armor over your head," Scorpina threatened playfully.

"Oh, I am so scared," Goldar taunted while acting as if he were shaking.

"You should be—" Scorpina started.

"Quit playing around, you goofs," Zedd ordered with a bit of annoyance. He went down the stairs, as did his warriors. They came up to Tigton. "Tigton, you are to go to Angel Grove Park and terrorize civilians and tourists. Make them cry and scream. If Tommy joins the fight, you are to concentrate your attacks on him."

"As you wish, my lord," Tigton said, eagerness showing in his voice. "I am going to roast me some Rangers for breakfast!"

Tigton whistled loudly. Fifteen Putties gathered around him. They vanished from sight. Zedd, Goldar, and Scorpina looked toward Squatt and Baboo, who walked up to them.

"Your plan is brilliant, my lord," Squatt said with a laugh.

"It sure is," Baboo said, giving Zedd a thumbs-up.

"My plans are always brilliant," Zedd responded and laughed evilly. The others joined in on the laughter. They became quiet after a minute. "They have done well in draining Tommy of his powers."

"It puzzles me that Rita never focused her energy on targeting him. She could've drained quite a bit of his powers given the right monsters," Scorpina said truthfully.

"Your mistress was too focused on getting rid of the entire team, my beautiful scorpion-woman," Zedd said, waving his hand in the air. He placed it at his side and tapped his fingers against it. "She rushed into battle without thinking too often. I prefer to plan my attacks carefully."

Goldar growled in much fierceness. "You are more intelligent than Rita could ever hope to be, my lord. She was such a loudmouth that none of us could stand to be around her with the exception of Finster. He is always moping around in his lab. He wishes she were still here."

"Finster may be a lowly scientist, but he is still useful," Zedd commented in much thoughtfulness. He cupped his chin in his hand. "He has a tendency to invent great devices. Perhaps I could turn to him for a monster if I can't come up with one at the moment."

"Finster has created highly aggressive monsters in the past, sir," Squatt pointed out while raising his hands above his head. He touched the top of it. "They beat the Power Geeks down pretty bad for a while. Of course, they always overcame them and destroyed them."

"That has happened with you too," Baboo said as he pointed his finger at Zedd, who shook his head in disbelief. "It is likely it will continue."

Scorpina groaned irritatingly. "Lord Zedd is aware of that, guys. You do not have to remind him all the time."

Zedd chuckled in a soft way. "Thank you, Scorpina. Once Tigton beats down the Rangers, Earth will be ours for the taking."

Zedd let out a malicious cackle. Goldar, Scorpina, Squatt, and Baboo clapped gleefully and proceeded to dance around.
