Chapter 2: Red Hair, Whitebeard and Revolutionary
"I don't think that a party before this meeting was a good idea, Captain." Makino said to Shanks who rubbed his head. "And Luffy! Stop drinking!"
The crew, at least the ones not that hangover, laughed. Luffy, dressed with a red shirt, black jeans and boots laughed and put the bottle down. "Sure. I want to be sober for when we meet the guy that Shanks is scared of!"
The crew laughed as Shanks grinned "I am not afraid from the geezer. If I am not afraid of your crazy Grandpa, nothing will scare me!" He laughed.
The mood in the Red Force was always like this, a mood of a constant party, happiness and freedom. Even when they are in battle, the grins and laughs never cease.
After some more hours of sailing, they saw the Moby Dick, Whitebeard's ship and Luffy couldn't help but to grin. He had met other pirates, yes. Buggy is an example, but to meet THE Whitebeard, the strongest man in the world, the biggest rival of the King of the Pirates, the man closer to becoming the pirate king!
He touched the straw hat on his head thinking about that while grinning from ear to ear. This is going to be so much fun!
"Oh, Luffy, you stay here." Shanks said and Luffy's head snapped to him with a pout.
"WHAT!? Why!?" He whined and Shanks smirked with a shrug.
"You're not ready yet." He said as he started to climb into the Moby Dick "Permission to board?"
"Permission granted brat." A powerful voice boomed into the air and Shanks smirked getting on board.
Luffy sat cross legged with a frown. He really wanted to meet Whitebeard, see what he was like. But no! Shanks ruined it for him.
He heard a snicker coming from the boat next to him and looked up to see a black-haired kid, older than him, with freckles and a cowboy hat "What is a brat like you doing here?" He asked in a mocking way and Luffy glared at him.
"I am not a brat! And why are you, a brat doing here!"
The kid glared at him "I am not a brat, brat, I am Whitebeard pirate."
"Well, I am a Red-Hair Pirate! That means I am way cooler than you!"
The kid growled "Don't make me go down there and kick your snotty ass!"
Luffy had enough, using his devil fruit, he created some mist, propelling him forward to the kid, getting him off guard and grabbing him by the neck of his yellow shirt "I am going to kick your ass no- Wow!" The kid lighted his fist in fire and Luffy lost balance and pushed the older kid with him towards the sea.
Both emperors saw this and their eyes widen "Namur!" Whitebeard screamed and the Fishman jumped and caught the two, still fighting boys, and bring them to the Moby Dick.
"You little shit! You almost killed us!"
"It was your fault you meanie!"
"Luffy! What the hell where you thinking!" Shanks exclaimed looking if Luffy was hurt somewhere.
"He started! He was making fun out of me!" Luffy pointed at the kid glaring daggers at him.
"Ace, we told you to behave." Whitebeard scolded and Ace huffed.
Shanks caught that and looked at Whitebeard, remembering that name "Ace?"
Whitebeard nodded and Shanks looked at Ace with disbelief. Ace glared at him "What?"
Shanks smiled "You really look like your father."
Ace's eyes widen in rage "What's that supposed to mean!"
Shanks laughed "Don't mind me! It is time to party now! Luffy! Stop doing a tantrum and let's go!"
*At a Nearby Island*
Ace and Luffy were glaring at each other as they swallowed all the food, with both crews cheering for their respective brat.
While that happened, Shanks and Whitebeard were drinking Sake, Shanks starring with a smile at Ace and Luffy, something that Whitebeard noted. "Your brat is really like him."
Shanks nodded "His personality is almost the same. Meanwhile, Ace is a combination of Captain and Miss Rouge."
"Guraguragura! Just make sure to not say that to his face, brat!" Whitebeard laughed as he drank. "Say, why did you take the brat with you?"
"His future is bright, but he ate the Yami Kiri no Mi, and he needed to control it. I couldn't just leave him alone when he could kill a whole island by accident." Shanks explained frowning and Whitebeard nodded "Besides, I feel like Captain, y'know? Taking a brat with potential, making him the cabin boy and training him. Dahahaha!"
Whitebeard chuckle "Do you know who his father is?"
Shanks shrugged "Don't know, don't care. A father who abandoned his child lost the right to be called that. But I know his gramps." Whitebeard raised a brow "Monkey D. Garp! Can you believe it!?" He laughed and Whitebeard frowned.
"And you still don't know who his father is?"
"Should I?"
"You idiotic brat. Monkey D. Garp's son is Monkey D. Dragon." Whitebeard said and Shanks dropped his drink as he gaped.
"The revolutionary leader... the most wanted man in the world!?"
Whitebeard smirked "Aye. I thought it was easy to piece together once you knew that. Monkey D. Luffy, grandson of Monkey D. Garp."
Once Shanks recovered from his shock, he laughed "It doesn't matter! I still stand for what I said!"
Whitebeard laughed "Guragura! I can respect that. As a father, I also live by that."
They looked at the brats, that now they transitioned into a drinking contest, something that Luffy was winning, Ace looking drowsy and both smiled.
The son of two demons... hopefully they become friends.
*Time Later*
"Aceeeeeeee!" Luffy said jumping into the Moby Dick railing and Ace smirked "Ready to spar?"
"Ready to kick your ass you mean?" He teased and Luffy grinned.
"Hey! That's my line!"
"How did they become friends again?" Thatch asked Marco who shrugged.
"They fought for five days staring yoi. Guess that made them closer."
"Yeah, but it was scary at times! Did you saw the mist almost destroying the forest?"
"And the smell is putrid." Haruta added.
Marco smiled "Who cares, our little brother finally got a friend."
*At another time, After another party in another Island."
Luffy rubbed his head as he woke up with a hangover. He looked next to him, seeing the bodies of his crew, in a worse state than him. Only Benn and Makino were awake. Makino making a gigantic breakfast to beat the hangover while Benn was making guard.
He managed to stand up and decided to explore the rocky island they docked and partied. He walked the plains until he saw a blonde boy in a suit remembering him to the nobles of Goa and a burnt mark over his eye.
The boy noticed him and starred at him curiously. "Are you a new recruit?" He asked and Luffy raised a brow.
"Recruit of what exactly?" He asked and the boy narrowed his eyes in suspicion.
"If you are not that... who are you?"
Luffy grinned and stretched his hand "Oh, I forgot that! Monkey D. Luffy, nice meeting you!"
The boy, not seeing nothing wrong from him relaxed and shook his hand "Sabo, just Sabo." He smiled "Say Luffy, your name I heard it before."
Luffy laughed "Shishishi! Well, my shitty gramps is a marine hero, but I am a pirate."
Sabo nodded "A pirate? That's cool, but I was wondering; you know who Monkey D. Dragon is?"
Luffy shook his head "Never heard of him."
Sabo couldn't help but to chuckle "He is the most wanted man in the world. And my boss. Want to meet him?"
Luffy hummed "Sure. I mean, the rest are still wasted and Mkaino would kill me if I keep drinking."
Sabo blinked confused "Aren't you to young to drink?"
"C'mon! Not you too!"
Sabo laughed at the comment "Sorry, sorry. It is only that you look younger than me, and I haven't drank alcohol yet." He explained and Luffy grinned.
"That can be solved easily! You are cordially invited to our next party Sabo!"
Sabo smiled "Thank you for the invitation."
*Meanwhile*
"WHERE IS LUFFY!" Shanks screamed in panic and Benn sighed.
"He woke up not so long ago and left to explore the island." He explained and Shanks let out a sigh of relief.
"Oh, then there is no problem, as long he comes back-"
"Captain... you might want to see this." Yasopp said and Shanks stumbled to him.
"What is it no-" He stopped seeing the flag.
The revolutionary army flag.
Shanks frowned "We found Luffy and we leave." He ordered and no one said nothing against it.
*Revolutionary Army HQ*
Sabo was listening with a smile as Luffy told him his adventures at the sea. "It sounds amazing. I wish I could live all that one day."
Luffy grinned "You can and you will! In the sea, we are all free!"
Sabo smiled "You are absolutely right. Here we are." He said stopping in front of a door. He knocked and a come in was heard.
"Dragon-Sama." He said opening the door and Luffy followed. Dragon looked up and his eyes widened seeing Luffy.
"Luffy..." He whispered and Luffy tilted his head.
"Do I know you?"
Dragon walked to him and Luffy gulped. This man was intimidating. And the fact that he wasn't doing anything besides starring at him didn't help. "Oi Sabo, is this normal?"
Sabo, slightly put off shook his head "Not really."
Suddenly Dragon hugged him "My son. I missed you so much."
Luffy's eyes widen and Sabo gaped "SON!?" Both screamed and then... an overwhelming pressure was felt.
Luffy was used and Dragon narrowed his eyes. Sabo felt his hands shake "Is this... Conqueror's Haki?"
Luffy broke free of the hug "That must be Shanks. He seems pissed." Luffy said and Sabo turned to him.
"Wait... Red-Hair Shanks!?"
Luffy nodded "Yup. He is my captain."
Dragon nodded and walked to him "Both of you come with me. Let's calm him down."
Shanks knocked almost everyone, and the rest were shaking or on their knees. "Where is he." He demanded as his crew backed him.
"Don't worry Red-Hair." Shanks glared at the man, as Luffy was behind him "He is fine. I wouldn't hurt my own son after all." Dragon said and Shanks's glare intensified as his and Dragon's haki clashed.
"Oi Shanks! You are scarring everyone!" Luffy said running to him and Yasopp picked him up "Oi! Put me down!"
"Don't worry Anchor." Shanks said glaring at Dragon "Me and your shitty dad are going to have a talk."
Dragon nodded "Very well. Just turn down your haki."
Shanks nodded and followed him to his office. Yasopp put down Luffy and Sabo felt he could breathe again. "That... was intense."
Luffy chuckled "Yeah... sorry about that. I didn't expect for Shanks to be so... mad."
Sabo smiled "Well, he seems to care a lot about you. That's good."
Benn eyed Sabo "Luffy, who's this?"
"Oh! This is Sabo, my new friend! He is also going to party with us!"
Sabo blinked "H-Hey, I am not that good with alcohol-"
"Relax! I will teach you to drink!"
"Oi, oi! Stop dragging me!"
*Dragon's Office*
Shanks glared at Dragon who kept his face neutral "First off, I want to thank you for looking out for my son."
"He is not your son." Shanks stated "You abandoned him. He isn't your son anymore."
Dragon nodded "Fair enough." He said surprising Shanks but kept his glare "After his mother death, I decided that it would be safer for him to-"
"Save your reasons." Shanks interrupted "I don't care about that; in the end those are just excuses to not raise your child. At least Garp had the decency to look after him when he could."
Dragon glared at him "Watch your words Red-Hair."
Shanks haki started to flare up in rage "Or what?" he challenged.
Dragon sighed "Just... just do what I couldn't. Give him the love he deserves, and promise me, he will be free and safe. Or then... then I will act." he promised and Shanks nodded.
"Deal. In the meantime, stay away from him" He said and left the office.
*Time Later*
"Hiken!"
"Kiri Kiri Pistol!"
Mist and fire clashed again destroying some trees. Ace and Luffy grinned as they panted. They felt with their haki another presence coming nearby, one that Ace didn't knew, but Luffy did.
"Sabo!" Luffy screamed and Sabo walked to him smiling.
"Luffy, nice to meet you here." He turned to Ace "Nice meeting you. I am Sabo. Are you a crewmate of Luffy?"
Ace glared at the new person "No. We are friends. And we are also busy, so can you leave."
Shanks had warned Ace about Luffy's dad and that made him distrust all revolutionaries.
Sabo frowned "Well, Luffy is also my friend and I want to speak with him."
Luffy looked between his friends argue and he laughed "You guys seem to like each other already!"
It took them other 10 meetings to actually like each other.

Bonus: Red-Haired Grandchildren Thief
After some months after Luffy joined the Red Force, Shanks knew it was only time before Garp would come. And today, it was the day, when cannonballs started to rain over them.
And at the distance in front of the marine ship with a dog as a figure head, they could see the crazy old man swimming full speed at them.
Luffy was hiding behind Makino as Garp managed to catch them and get on board "LUFFY!"
"Hey Garp. How are ya?" Shanks greeted casually and Garp glared at him.
"You little Red-Haired Grandchild Thief! Give me my grandson back!"
Shanks turned to Luffy "Hey Anchor, want to go with your Grandpa?"
Luffy shook his head "No! He is scary and mean!"
Shanks laughed "You hear the rascal."
"LUFFY!"
