CHAPTER 2: Introductions and Presents

"Good Morning Naruto and wish you a very happy birthday", greeted The Sandaime. The fact that his Jiji remembered his birthday wasn't a foreign concept to Naruto, he was also one of the few that remembered the day as his Birthday and not the day when the Kyuubi unleashed its fury on The Leaf village.

"Thanks for the Gift Jiji," said Naruto. Which resulted in a worried expression on The Sandaime and The White Haired Man's face.

"What gift, I am yet to give you your birthday gift from me?" asked Hiruzen calmly, although his expression told a different story. "Also, what was the gift?"

"Huh-uh, it was the 24-bowl deluxe miso ramen gift card, it also came with this," said Naruto, while producing the paper slip from his pocket and showed it to his Jiji. Hiruzen immediately recognized the handwriting. "Did it just came with this or someone handed it to you Naruto?"

"It was passed through the gap between my door and the floor, but what's wrong with" explained Naruto.

'Why would he present it like that, has it still not come to terms with that incident' wondered The Hokage. "Nothing is wrong with Naruto, I was just wondering who could have the secret Santa".

"Anyway Naruto, for my gift to you I have this," said Hiruzen while producing a small wrapped box from his drawers. "What is it Jiji ?" questioned Naruto.

"Open it when you get home and you will find out, it's a surprise !"

"Jiji you are no fun. " said an agitated Naruto.

"Anyway, you are probably wondering who this man is," said the Sandaime while pointing at the white-haired man.

"This is my stud-" Hiruzen was cut off, " I am the Jiraiya the gallant, Toad Sage of and one of the Legendary Sannin." Said the white-haired man named Jiraiya. "So, Naruto from this day Jiraiya will be your Guardian and Mentor. " said the Hokage.

"Huh-hu, how can this white-haired sa...sa..san, whatever be my mentor, he is even older than you, I am gonna be the Hokage how can this guy even teach me when I can beat him!" proclaimed Naruto Proudly. Jiraiya chuckled at the six-year-old's inability to say 'Sannin'.

It was now the Hokage who spoke, "Well Naruto, he is my student and strong enough to be Hokage himself. He was even the Mentor of the fourth-Hokage, isn't he your Hero."

"What this guy was the Yondaime's mentor?" questioned Naruto.

"Yes, you can test if you want Gaki," said Jiraiya.

"Ok then you are getting another chance to train another Hokage, okay I give you the opportunity," said Naruto. Jiraiya chuckled at the kid's words. 'So, much like Kushina' wondered the Toad Sage. "By the way, Naruto since today's your birthday and I forgot to get you a gift, why don't you head home and decide on what you want"

"Really! That would mean 3 gifts this year." said a surprised Naruto. "Yes, why don't you go ahead, I will meet you there" answered Jiraiya.

"HAI," said Naruto, before bolting off.

As Naruto left the room Jiraiya placed Privacy seals around the Sandaimes office before taking a seat before the Hokage. "So, how much does he know?" asked Jiraiya. "What do you mean how much Jiraiya?" said Hiruzen. "This is no time for games sensei, tell me how much does Naruto know ?". "Ok, the details of the Kyubii were leaked by Danzo, five years ago. Right after you left. Naruto was told a year ago, since then I have personally taken care of him and also taught him to reach his inner self to interact with the Kyubii, that in order to teach him to force himself out of in order to avoid the Kyubii. Honestly, what was Minato thinking with that seal, it's not child's play to control its power. The only people able to do so were The Shodaime Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha".

"What Minato did can be best explained by him and currently we have no means to do that. But, tell me Sensei why by law wasn't Danzo executed?" questioned a very angry Jiraiya.

"Because we have no solid proof against him, everyone knows he did but it cannot be proven besides ordering to assassinate Danzo isn't that easy. Reasons: the power he holds in the council and also the Root."

Despite his anger towards the village and the elders, Jiraiya couldn't disagree. "Okay then, from now on I officially take Guardianship of Naruto Uzumaki and I and only I have the right to take any decisions related to him till the day he turns sixteen when it will be publicly revealed about his heritage."

"The deal has been done, but what do you imply by 'publicly' " asked Hiruzen. "I plan on telling him beforehand" replied Jiraiya. " I assume you are aware of the legal consequences," said Hiruzen. "Good luck proving it Sen-sei" with that Jiraiya made his exit through the window.

"Old habits die hard, eh Jiraiya," said Hiruzen just as he went out of earshot.

Sometime later: Naruto's apartment

"What shall I ask for Birthday…. Maybe clothes or ramen or Ninja gear but I will get that when I start academy next year anyway so…." muttered Naruto to himself. Just then he saw Jiraiya at the window. "May I come in?" said Jiraiya in a mocking tone.

"I can't decide what I want for my gift, maybe you could help me, and do I call you sensei now?" asked Naruto. Naruto's words brought back memories to the sage. "Yes you can call me sensei, but I would have preferred Jiraiya the Gallant, Toad sage of , and the strongest of the Sannin," said Jiraiya proudly while putting on a proud stance. "Nah, prefer sensei," said Naruto in a complacent tone. "Now, since u didn't decide on anything I will be the one deciding on your gift, and judging by the looks of your apartment, furniture, wardrobe, and hygiene, you need a new house".

Narutos eyes couldn't track Jiraiya as he went through all his stuff and his apartment. But he couldn't hold his excitement and curiosity and began the questioning.

"Wait, does that mean you will live with me ?"

"Yes"

"Do I get a separate room ?"

"Yes"

"Can I invite Ino, Choji, Shikamaru, Kiba, and Shino and Sasuke even tho he wouldn't come ?"

"Yes, but why are you asking?"

"Because Jiji said that I am not allowed to invite anyone here until I am a Gennin?"

'Sensei...why?'

"Okay okay we will start looking for a house tomorrow and today we will get you new clothes"

A/N: This is it for chapter 2. I did all the house, clothes, and inviting friends thing because I plan on Naruto having Friends and interact with them before becoming an academy student because of…..not saying cuz that's a spoiler.
