Hello everyone and welcome back to the story! Now before we begin it's time for the usual disclaimers. I don't own Hyperdimension Neptunia as it belongs to Idea Factory and Compile Heart. I only own this plot, the characters Nyx, Black Sister Nyx, Bushi, Atlus, Ubi, and Ari alongside the original monsters Gorethian, and Bad End Dogoo. Now then with that out of the way...Let's Make It Showy!
=Re;Birth=
In an unknown place a group of figures were having a gathering "Now then what's the progress?" The leader a feminine human like figure spoke.
The second figure a young girlish figure stood "Plans in the Ultra Dimension are proceeding as planned. Unfortunately there's been a small snag as security has been extremely tight." She spoke.
The leader hummed and nods in understanding as the third figure 'floats' up as it was a fairy like figure on a book "My own plans have been going smoothly. Hehehehe...who would of thought taking my Croire's powers would allow me such trickery. It's so intoxicating." The fairy spoke.
The fourth figure muttered before standing up "The world of Conquest is on the decline as expected, and it's leader I think is close to considering one of two options. Dimensional conquest or subconsciously forcing the world to follow her via a mind manipulation device." They explained.
The fifth and final figure stepped up "Everything is going fine in the Hyper Dimension. The black goddess will be struck down soon, and then well..." she started before glancing to the second figure.
"You know what I mean leader." She finished.
"Excellent. Everything is starting to come together." The lead figure spoke.
The leader figure stood up "Now return to your respective posts in your assigned dimensions. I have prospective recruits to expand our ranks to check over." She ordered them.
They all bowed "We shall leave. We all look forward to meeting the recruits Lady Master Heart." The fairy like figure says and the each seemed to tap something opening a vortex like 'gate' that lead to a specific location.
Master Heart sat back down and tapped her fingers on the table "Our game continues. Now It's your move Atlus. What will you do?" She asked muttering to herself.
At the same time in Hyper Dimension's Lastation a young woman looking around twenty or so wandered about. She had thick pitch black hair that reached just below her shoulder blades, and blue eyes. Her normal attire consisted of a deep blue-black dress shirt with a deep red and black jacket layered over it. She also wore blue black dress pants while a gold necklace was around her neck with a pendant tarrot card marked with XXII.
She glanced about as if looking for something and huffs before grinning as if she heard something "My move huh? Well then guess I should make it count. Just be careful what you wish for Master Heart cause a Wild Card can do a lot." She muttered to herself.
She then headed off to continue her objective, but first needed to settle in to Lastation.
=Re;Birth=
"Gah!" Noire yells as she was rudely woken up by alarms and sprinklers going off. After about a minute Noire then heard shuffling and the sound of a fire extinguisher being used. Seconds later the sprinklers turned off.
Noire ran out and she eventually found herself in the kitchen and saw a really sheepish Nyx with said large red canister and a foam sprayed on a pan.
Noire raised an eyebrow "Are you really trying to cook?" She asked.
"Umm...I just thought I would try..." Nyx says sheepishly. She had seen Nepgear, and even Histoire cook while she was in Planeptune, and wanted to give it a try. Though she'd never cook eggs as she found them super gross and slimy. When she tried them her whole stomach felt like it had to be evacuated.
Noire rubbed her head feeling a headache coming on "Okay before we eat breakfast there's a few thing's we'll need to do. Dry ourselves, clean up this mess, get changed, and you have to apologize to the basilicom staff." Noire says as Nyx pouts though nods.
After all was said and done Noire ended up making them some pancakes for breakfast, but Noire didn't stay long as she took her breakfast to go as she headed for her office.
Nyx saw this and pouted looking down "Nice job Nyx. Only been around your sister two days, and she hates you." She muttered to herself.
"Noire! Noire are you here?" A girl's voice called out, and curious about whoever was looking for sister Nyx followed the sound of the voice.
She eventually found it's source the voice belonging to what looked like a high school girl. She has turquoise eyes while her medium length gray hair is held in place by a red headband and was straight cut with the longer bangs before her ears are in thin braids. She was wearing a short dark gray dress with a black belt accented by gold, and over it is a red and white dress resembling a school uniform. The red and white dress has gold buttons and a goldenrod colored four tailed bow with a red K in the center, and it is split from the chest to the bottom.
Nyx took note of the two red ribbon tails that she could see sticking out from the bottom of the dress, and the red and white bracelet on the girls wrist with a white K on top. She also noticed the black socks and boots with red laces.
"Umm...can I help you miss?" Nyx asked as the girl took notice of her.
"Oh your new. Are you new staff for the basilicom little one?" the girl asked and Nyx puffed her cheeks.
"I'm not staff. Though I'm sure I can help you in place of my sister." Nyx said as the girl looks at her confused.
"Your looking for my big sister right? Noire." Nyx clarified, and the girl looked at her in surprise then she gave a creepy smile.
"I'm sorry. I don't think I got your name, but perhaps we can talk this over somewhere..." She started, but then heard a voice.
"K-Sha? What are you doing here?" Noire asked having come back to make up a few more pancakes and check on Nyx.
The girl now known as K-Sha jumps "Oh Noire! It's good to see you." She says with a smile as Noire frowns.
"That doesn't answer my question. What are you doing here, and why did you look ready to go crazy on my little sister?" Noire asked as K-Sha looked to Noire then Nyx, and then back to Noire.
"Well I was worried. I've been visiting weekly to check up on you, but I only really ever end up buying more groceries for you." K-Sha began then leaned in to Noire.
"Is that girl...really your little sister?" She then asked in a whisper and Noire nods.
"Yeah she's a little over a week old." Noire replied as Nyx watched the two, and the group of three started heading towards the kitchen.
K-Sha would continue to whisper questions to Noire who'd whisper back her replies. Noire made some more pancakes and headed off to her office again leaving Nyx and K-Sha together.
K-Sha looked at Nyx who returned the gaze curiosity shining in her eyes "So...do you know how to fight?" K-Sha asked.
Nyx shakes her head "No, and I don't think sis is going to teach me." Nyx says sighing as she pokes at her food.
K-Sha saw this and glanced in the direction Noire had gone. She could always go to Noire's office and force her to spend time with her little sister or...K-Sha could spend some time with her. She recalled Uni, and having tried to kill her twice in her want to be with Noire as well as she felt she was still trying to make up for that.
"Well maybe I can help. I may have lost some of my power, but I'm still Lastation's Gold Third." K-Sha offered.
"Gold...Third?" Nyx repeated a bit confused.
K-Sha sighed and decided she'd explain on the way "Come on now. We're heading to Tacan Road. It's a nice easy place, and I can show you the ropes." K-Sha tells Nyx.
Nyx looks at her surprised "Really?" She asked then looked towards the direction of Noire's office.
"Shouldn't we tell sis what we're doing though first?" Nyx then asked.
K-Sha giggles "Oh I wouldn't worry. We'll be just fine." K-Sha assures her.
Deciding to take her word for it Nyx followed after K-Sha as they left the basilicom "I'm sure it will be fine. My sweet Noire might even thank me." K-Sha thought to herself.
=Re;Birth=
The two arrived at Tacan Road and Nyx had to resist running off to look around. The place was interesting as she saw just how vast the place was.
K-Sha saw how eager Nyx was and giggles "Now then I suppose you can at least summon your weapon?" She asked and Nyx nods.
"Nepgear taught me, but I'm still getting the hang of it." Nyx admitted rubbing her head, but held her hand out calling it.
Blue pixels formed in front of Nyx's hand and Nyx grabbed them as the pixels then extended out forming a weapon.
The first bit to form looked like a blade hilt, but it was longer and seemed to resemble a gun even having a gun trigger while a guard formed in front of it. Next to form was the blade itself which was actually pretty thick near the bottom, but it thinned out the further it went coming to a point at the tip. If one didn't looked they would fail to notice a hollowed out hole below the tip while stamped on each side in a electric blue was the Lastation emblem the blade itself a peal white. A section near the bottom looked like it could be pulled down to load something in.
"Oh a gunblade! I can probably show you how to at least use it as a gun." K-Sha says and Nyx gives her a grateful smile.
Five minutes passed as K-Sha show Nyx how to use the weapon as a gun as well as advice on how to aim and handle it. It was moments after that a bouncing like sound was heard and teardrop shaped blue blobs with a cartoonish face appears. It has the muzzle, ears, and tail of a dog while it's body was made of gelatin.
"Oh it's a Dogoo! This is the perfect chance to practice what I taught you." K-Sha says.
"Umm...are you sure? It looks harmless." Nyx replied hesitant about attacking such a cute and harmless looking monster.
"Oh don't let it fool you. It might look cute, but Dogoo's jelly like body is acidic and can eat through clothing in minutes." K-Sha revealed and Nyx sighs understanding.
"Don't think of it like your attacking something cute. Think of it as something dangerous posing as something cute." K-Sha added on and Nyx nods in understanding.
The dogoo bounced towards Nyx, and the girl raised her weapon griping it and fired. The shot hit the dogoo midair and knocked it down yet it got up quickly.
The dogoo jumped at Nyx and she jumps back out of the way. Upon closer inspection of the hilt of the gunblade Nyx noticed a small dial. She didn't know what it did, but she turned the dial up to it's max and took aim again.
Nyx barely had time to brace herself as she pulled the trigger and multiple bullets shot out hitting the doggo. It let out a cry of defeat and burst into pixels.
K-Sha approached surprised and took to look the weapon over and saw the dial "I see...your weapon has a full auto mode." K-Sha says calmed as she looked the gun over.
Nyx then noticed that some jelly like substance was left behind as did K-Sha who walked over before grabbing a small vial seemingly out of nowhere. She scoops some of the jelly into it before securing it and stores it away.
K-Sha looked to her and smiles "It's okay. You see while it's mostly acidic there is portions of the dogoo's jelly like body that has healing properties. So I'm gathering what I can so a mutual friend can create some medicine from this." She explained.
"Ohh...okay." Nyx said, but then tackled K-Sha as she saw/heard something coming. There had been a loud bounce, and Nyx heard what sounded like something falling before noticing an increasingly growing shadow over K-Sha.
Nyx reacted quickly and lunges at K-Sha tackling her. After tackling K-Sha dust was blown everywhere and both coughed as they got up recovering. They both then saw what it was that landed and K-Sha was surprised as this monster while familiar in shape she had never seen before.
What was in front of them was an extremely large black Dogoo with large red X that had purple trim around it for eyes, and it was displaying a malicious smile with sharp fang like teeth. It's animal like features were much more wolfish than dog.
"T-That's a dogoo?!" Nyx says surprised.
K-Sha shakes her head "I don't know. If it is it's not one I've seen before." She says trying to remain calm. She hadn't planned for this, and worse was the fact she had completely forgotten to bring her guns!
Nyx fired at it, but the shots just bounced harmlessly off it's body. The giant dogoo retaliated it's eyes flashing as streams of dark energy shot at the two from the eyes.
K-Sha rolled one way, and Nyx rolled the other and fired a few more shots making the giant dogoo focus it's attention on her. Nyx kept firing backing away "Nyx!" K-Sha called out noticing that the young CPU was about cornered as there was only a steep upward slope behind her.
Nyx eventually bumped into it and lets out a small nervous squeak. She changed her clip out and fired a few more shots aiming for the eyes which hit. Yet this annoyed the giant dogoo more than anything as it jumped into the air and when would come down would land on Nyx.
K-Sha tried to get over to her even transforming taking on her Gold form, but she didn't reach in team. Before the black dogoo hit though the ground under Nyx seemed to glitch, and she vanished under it at the same time the dogoo landed.
"Nyx! Oh no. No no no no." She muttered before glaring at the black dogoo.
"...Target confirmed. Starting termination." She then spoke her voice changing a bit her tone much more hollow.
Guns or not K-Sha would see to it this thing understood the power of a Gold Third.
=Re;Birth=
Nyx groaned as she woke up and instantly took notice that it was extremely dark, and noted the sound of rushing water. Getting up, and taking a few minutes for her eyes to adjust she noted her surroundings.
"I'm underground? I thought..." Nyx started recalling the black dogoo jumping at her. She shakes her head and decides to walk ahead.
"If this is a tunnel then there must be a way out...right?" She asked herself as she walks, but all she saw for the next several minutes was nothing, but an endless tunnel.
Eventually she walked on and saw a pale blue light ahead of her, and thinking it might be an exit Nyx ran towards it. What she found wasn't the exit, but something else completely different from it.
She came to an open area with ruins scattered about, and it was lit by torchlight. Yet the odd thing was the fire the torches burned were a vibrant blue.
Nyx looked about the ruins in slight awe, but she was curious as well and began to walk about "Why are their ruins underground? What is this place?" Nyx asked herself muttering.
She wandered for minutes checking out what places she could, and she drew a few conclusions.
First this place looked like it was perhaps part of a small town, and that it was from before the time of the four nations.
Second was that there tech while not as advanced as modern tech still worked as she found several devices that she could turn on and off.
Third, and probably most important was that these people worshipped a goddess named Blue Heart. She had never heard of a Blue Heart, but perhaps it was because it was a previous generation goddess.
The fourth and final thing she discovered was the name of the nation this Blue Heart ruled. Tari.
"Well I found out a lot, but...it's not going to help me get out of here!" Nyx shouts as she throws down an old newspaper speaking of how Tari was on a massive decline.
Nyx sighed about ready to pull on her hair, but calms herself then stiffens thinking she heard something "M-Must of been the wind..." She starts then realizes something.
"Wait...there is no wind down here!" She adds on and summons her gunblade when she hears the wind like voice again.
She started firing in a panic, but this just lead to her exhausting herself. It was then that she heard a little giggle and she turned thinking she saw something or someone.
Against her better judgement and instincts Nyx ran after the figure following them deeper into the ruins. Eventually she came to what looks like the ruins of a half finished tower like building.
Nyx saw a pale skinned, blue haired girl, in a deeper blue sundress walk into the building giving out the same giggle she'd been hearing.
Following inside she noticed the building looked almost like a fusion between a high up tech company, and a cithadel "This must of been Tari's basilicom." Nyx noted.
"Indeed it was." A female voice spoke and Nyx jumped turning and saw the strange girl which she finally noticed was floating.
"G-G-G-G-GHOST!" Nyx shouts and the girl sighs and with a wave of her hand Nyx's oncoming scream was silenced.
"I'm not a ghost per say. I'm...what's left of Hyper Dimension's very first CPU. My name is Ari." She says introducing herself as Nyx calmed herself.
"H-How did I get here though? Why are these ruins underground?" Nyx asked.
Ari looked down "Both of those questions are a bit my doing. When my nation was declining a great threat came. Many lives were lost, and even more ran." Ari began to explain.
"I didn't know what it was this threat wanted, but I knew I was a target. So to hide myself and my nation I used my power to banish all remnants of my nation underground. This reformated the land above." Ari explained.
"Reformated? But if you nation was huge then..." Nyx starts and thinks.
"Tari once covered the entirety of Gamindustri. A piece of land drifted off though as during the battle the mountain range that once was there was decimated." Ari informed her before clearing her throat.
"Now as my nation was rather large there were spots the reformating...glitches. It has brought a few here before, but I normally just sent them out." Ari explained and Nyx recalled falling through something.
"And you kept me here because I'm also a CPU?" Nyx asked.
Ari nods "Yep, but I know your not exactly a full fledged one. Yet...you got a lot of potential. Potential that might just be needed." Ari says to her.
"You see unlike CPU's of now I had another power. I could look into, and see future events. That threat I fought before...it's coming back full force and even stronger." Ari says and holds out her hand a blue and black flame appearing.
Nyx saw it and could feel that it was incredibly strong "W-What is that?" Nyx asked.
"My power. All contained within this flame, and I'm entrusting it to you." Ari says, and before Nyx could object the flame flew forward and entered her.
Nyx lets out a scream as her body flooded with power and began glowing with a blue hue as it took in this new power.
Her body sparked as three small flames came off and seemed to vanish elsewhere "I'm entrusting this to you young CPU. Take care." Ari says and the whole area glows before flashing multiple times.
Nyx would vanish as it ended returning her to the surface.
=Re;Birth=
Nyx groaned and blinks as she wakes up "Huh? Where?" She starts then notices she's on Tacan Road.
"Oh right. I'm on Tacan Road." Nyx realized and gets up rubbing her head.
"Let's see...I was learning to fight from K-Sha, I beat some Dogoo's, a large black Dogoo attacked us, and then...and then..." Nyx muttered as she tried to remember what had happened.
"I don't know...last thing I remember was it jumping at me." Nyx said and then looked around realizing K-Sha wasn't there.
"Oh no! She must have headed back." Nyx realized and she ran headed back in the direction of Lastation.
What she didn't notice was that the glitched area she had reappeared from vanished becoming normal landscape once again.
Nyx can now use Hail Drive.
Nyx (and CPU Candidates) can now use Exalted HDD [Locked].
That's it for the second chapter, and unlike the original I made quite a few changes such as including K-Sha, an early fight with the Bad End Dogoo, and the one-time only introduction of Ari AKA Blue Heart the former ruler of Hyperdimensions version of the ancient nation of Tari. We also got glimpses of our villians including their ring leader Master Heart along with brand new Maker character Atlus who will play a role (Yes I may think about including key characters having Persona's. As for who that's currently undecided. If I can't decided I'll just keep it as her power). Now I will admit to one of my plans which mentioned above is a brand new form of HDD for the CPU Candidates, but that doesn't mean I don't have plans for the core CPU's.
