-Western Reaction, The White House, Washington D.C, 1:05 am. 10/11/2020-

The Red Army had been operating near the GATE, the western powers have been suspicious of Soviet activity after detecting suspicious movements, although what puzzles them is that it seems some soldiers have been leaving the militarized borders of East and West Berlin, the West suspected that maybe a rebellion occurred or that someone couped the Soviet government, but spy satellites were already on their way to confirm or deny their suspicions, the US president Donal Rump which many consider an incompetent fool was very worried as elections were approaching in his country and how he may handle this situation could cost him the election, or secure his second term in the seat of the US of A, he had lost some support after declaring he'll back out of trade agreements with some East Asian countries that hadn't fallen to communism yet (India, and a few Indochinese states), the actions had led to socialist parties being closer to being elected in those countries, and he also managed to somehow further ruin US-Latin Americans relations, Mexico becomes further suspicious of the US and the government started to embrace el Ejercito Zapatista de Liberación Nacional, meanwhile other Latinamerican countries also embraced leftist parties and groups as a reaction, now he didn't want to isolate his country further and hand to the USSR more influence around the globe, what he may do, he wondered, the USA was not ready for what the satellites will reveal though.

-Entering the GATE, Red Square, Moscow, 1:10 am-

The KGB has been all over the GATE and so has been the NKVD, after the intrusion into the territory of the USSR, and the lack of any intel made everything more confusing, the Politburo was in an emergency meeting over this, while Red Square and it's vicinity was put into full lockdown, the Red Army was also patrolling the area because they don't know what else may be coming, but a small expedition was being sent, 2 drones specifically, they were readied by the NKVD and were deployed, although the limited area for crossing would make it hard they didn't want to risk someone's life right now, what all knew was that whatever may be on the other side seemed to not have friendly intentions, and the captured Orc wasn't being too helpful, but a few phrases could be deciphered which say:

"Who are you?" "What?" "Hello?"

It seems that advances are slow, and they are nowhere near deciphering what truly happened if there may have been a misunderstanding between the two sides, the Orc looked constantly distressed which is understandable being surrounded by being that look human but seemed to have far too much power for mere humans, the Orc obviously couldn't be identified, and the Orc also seemed to get aggressive if someone got a bit too close, which didn't help at all, and even a few staff members were worried over what could be the effects of contemporary diseases on a fantasy world creature.

But coming back to the GATE, a few hours had passed and it was 3:13 already, the two drones had been surveying the land, and to the not so high surprise of the Politburo, it seemed the environment is similar to Earth's which was a relief, and it meant that sending a human staffed team was now confirmed to be safe, the plans to send a surveillance team, and maybe figuring out more of what happened seemed like a priority, but from the previous experience, it was clear that a group of soldiers should be sent across the GATE, nothing fancy though, after all, it was only meant to be a small mission to maybe clear up the misunderstanding, but oh boy, did that go very wrong.

-The initial entering-

After the small unit of 100 Soviet soldiers, mainly Russians, although some Ukrainians and Kazakhs were within the unit armed with Ak-47s, and the standard state issued equipment, from the 80s, this small contingent of the Red Army is sending comrade Lieutenant Kravchuk Yuriy as the leader of the expeditionary force, although something unexpected would happen once they finally were within the other side inside a convoy of armored cars, the sight of plentiful fields, a stunning place beyond what the Soviet drones could capture on their cameras, now it was not a time to contemplate the countryside, but one of establishing peaceful contact with the natives, they had already a route planned, but first they would have to do some basic stuff on the side of the GATE they found themselves within, establishing some temporary barricades and trenches, a direct order from the Marshal of the Soviet Union, they were told that it would a peaceful mission, but for now the soldiers now had to go on their small vehicle convoy to a small town which aerial reconnaissance from the drones had recognized as the only settlement nearby, the soldiers were inside 90s Soviet truck as the Politburo thought that sending more modern vehicles would be a bad idea, especially due to the size of the force of just 100 soldiers, even with modern weaponry anyone with a brain knows that an enemy with more manpower and a preestablished presence in the area would not go well, thus why the mission's equipment being outdated compared to the rest of the Red Army, if any piece of this equipment fell to enemy hands, it would become a matter of time before these mysterious peoples catched up in regards of military technology, and while I've been rambling unnecesarily the soldiers have been advancing towards their destination, the not so favorable terrain of bumpy hills only helped to slow them down, but either way, they were ready for anything that they may find, and well, they found something before arriving to the village, which is a unit of roughly 500 men, they looked just like the guys that fought in Red Square, due to orders to not engage with violence they stopped and sent an unarmed vehicle while the rest followed closely behind, the truck approaching the soldier looking group of 500 person had already gained their attention, and some confusion, but these men didn't break formation and kept doing what from the Soviet's position looked like they were fortifying the village, direct contact is going to happen in the village, if a fight were to break out it seemed to be at the Soviet's favor, but who knows how well trained these mysterious enemies are, and well, this is meant for a peaceful contact and to clear up any possible misunderstandings, as a single vehicle arrives and finally stops just outside of town, a small silent standoff ocurss, two people's are meeting in a historical moment, a more proper contact instead of the less than optimal contact in Moscow, the 3 persons in the truck where looking directly at the band of soldiers in their somewhat dirty and worn down armor, and briefly it was all silent as well as the villagers looked on as well not quite understanding how much danger they were in, in hindsight they probably would've felt relief of meeting the Red Army, anyways, the silence lasted for a few minutes, the Red Army occupants in the back redied themselves for a conflict, machine guns mounted and rifles ready to fire, meanwhile the Imperials quickly assumed what was assumed as a battle ready position, but then someone whose armor definitively looked more fancy and what most would've expected from a portal to some green plains in what is basically a new world in what is presumably the middle ages.

Soon the standoff ends with one of the soldiers exiting their vehicle and approaching the force in front of them, it seems peaceful contact may happen, meanwhile, the greater force in numbers sends ahead a woman who from looks alone just seemed to be their general or commander, whoever she may be, she was important enough to be sent ahead, meanwhile, Isimov Laroniskev kept approaching them, both of them representing very different sides in not only ideology but technology and society, nevertheless, contact was inevitable by now, both looked at each other and made direct eye contact, they realized they didn't know each other's language but at the very least they knew that fighting right now wasn't worth it for either side, especially as the Imperial soldiers didn't exactly know if they were at mortal peril after what may or may not have happened at the other side of the gate, especially after observing the considered unorthodox weaponry and what would be considered a smaller force, even though they had a greater force and could theoretically wipe them out this enigmatic enemy if even that from the other side of the GATE, meanwhile the Soviet man in charge was internally anxious as even though ready thought that if these Roman looking guys decided to attack right now they could possibly not win or have to retreat back to their side of the GATE, for now both were trying to find a common way of communication, no matter how rudimentary.

After a while of trying to figure out a way of communication not much was found, not even arm and hand gestures which although considered not wildly different the small attempt led to an almost small fight, and it was ultimately decided that that wouldn't work right now, thus this begged a new question...

What now?...

Indeed, after a few uhhh, months? I finally finished the second thingy, my time was tied up with exams and recently I just found time to finish it, I'm so sorry for the long wait.
