Chapter Two - Settling Down
Ichika Abarai - A Girl who had lost her memory had dropped right into the fateful moment in the entrance exam. With a black outfit and a katana to back her, she, instead of Ochaco Urahaka took the place of the girl Izuku Midoriya had saved that day. How would her appearance in this new world alter the face of My Hero Academia? What is going on in My Hero Academia's world?
Note: I don't own MHA nor Bleach.

Ichika looked at All Might, confused. "Join, UA?"
All Might fumbled. He had totally forgotten that this girl didn't even know what UA was… Why did he have to be so clumsy…
Nezu spoke up cheerfully, gleefully picking up the slack from his new recruit of an instructor, All Might to inform Ichika.
"You're in the nation of Japan, and this is UA academy. In Japan and similarly in other parts of the world, there is something widespread known as 'quirks'."
Ichika, confused on what a quirk was asked: "Quirk…?"
Nezu responded to Ichika's question quickly: "Quirks are essential traits which give a power to a person, something different. About 80% of the world's population has quirks, with 20% not possessing quirks."
Ichika nodded, as she then asked "So my quirk would be…"
So my powers… Are a quirk?
"From what I gather, you're a rarity. You have both super speed and super strength. Your 'teleportation' isn't really teleportation but extremely high speed movement and your super strength is relatively minimal compared say, All Might."
Ichika, satisfied with the response stopped her questioning, allowing Ness to continue.
"Because of these powers, there are evildoers, when possessing powerful quirks, which would abuse them, causing them to become villains. To counter these villains, there used to be Vigilantes in the world - people who took it upon themselves to use their quirks or other means to combat villains. Obviously, these vigilantes were technically illegal, but because of the good they were causing the government to to make official hero schools and therefore hero licenses. With these licenses, there is a clear line between vigilantes and heroes, rules which must be followed by heroes to make sure they aren't vigilantes. Thus, because of this, UA was born, as the most prestigious hero school to ensure that new heroes will come out, experienced, equipped and prepared to fight villains to protect society. And that, is the history of our society and heroism in Japan."
Ichika simply nodded as she accepted the history lesson from Nezu. With the brief lesson or rather summary of hero society over, she asked: "But why do you want me to join?"
Tsukachi gave a quick look to Nezu, a questioning look however this look was missed by Ichika.
Nezu quickly responded to her with a smile. "Individuals like you have a powerful quirk, you could be used to help society, society after-all, is in dire-need of more people like you. Capable heroes, capable of defending society from villains."
All Might looked at Nezu, trying to not change his expression, but deep inside he knew why Nezu was doing this. My powers are going to go away soon… Young Midoriya will take time to mature… And when I burn out, a new generation of heroes is needed… He's taken an interest in Young Abarai it seems. But it seems that Nezu still doesn't trust her, but why?
"I have a feeling that's not all."
Nezu grinned at her reply. Smart girl she was. "Of course! To allow you outside would make a massive scandal in UA, not only would our security have been breached and that in the exam we put students in danger, but also that you currently have no identity. How could you or us explain that? It is better for us and you that you stay here in UA."
Ichika looked at Nezu. He was definitely right, she had no identity here. She didn't even know what was going on. Was the best choice to seriously stay here?
Getting a free entry through him. I just, I can't accept this. I feel something inside me… What is it? Pride. Pride from my bloodline that won't let me accept this. Pride from something in my past life that I cannot let go.
"I can't accept."
Tsukachi and All Might blinked. It was a surprise to both of them. Why wouldn't she accept the free hand of this…?
"I cannot accept because this means I'm given preferential treatment."
All Might spoke up immediately: "Your capabilities in the exam proves enough, you defe-"
Ichika shook her head, as she said softly: "That wasn't the aim of the exam though. I clearly didn't pass it. I want something fair to prove myself."
Nezu grinned cheerfully, as if predicting this. "I should've predicted this. Pride, one of humanity's seven deadly sins, yet our greatest strengths at the same time. Alright then, let's put you to the test. How about, a one on one against a teacher in here. Provided that you perform within our expectations, you'll be accepted into UA. Un-armed combat of course, no student was given any gear in the exam."
Ichika smiled, beaming with confidence as she gave a quick nod to Nezu and bowed. "Thank you, Nezu-san. I'll cherish this chance to enter into UA."

Ground Beta, centre
A man with googles, with a slant back, jet black hair to his shoulders in a scarf and a fully black outfit from what you could only say was from a spy movie appeared. He lazily dragged himself across the school grounds as he growled with every step of the way.
Ugh… I'm sleepy and Nezu drags me out here again to what, examine this girl personally? Why? This is so annoying… I want to get back to sleep. I want to go back to my room, sleep on my cozy bed.
As he mopped his way through the large Ground Beta, he saw a group of people wave at him. Nezu introduced him to the girl. "Abarai, this is the Pro-Hero Eraser Head, but since you're on UA premises, you can call him Aizawa-sensei."
Aizawa looked at the girl groggily as he groaned: "Nezu, why did you call me here? Isn't her exam done anyways?"
Nezu shook his head, as Aizawa saw the girl bow. "My name is Ichika Abarai, I sincerely apologise but I wasn't even registered on that exam. I believe in fairness… So I don't want to enter into UA without taking a proper exam. I want to prove myself!"
Aizawa responded to Nezu: "So, what did you come here to talk to me about? If it's an exam, you could arrange it."
Nezu grinned ear to ear as he responded to Aizawa: "The girl here is going to fight All Might. Since you're the homeroom teacher next year for Class 1-A, I would like you to decide, when she passes. After-all, I have worked to do. So, see you, Eraser Head!"
The rodent waved as he walked off alongside detective Tsukachi, much to the dismay of Aizawa who groaned as he shook his head in disapproval. He then heard a high pitched sound, someone had spoken.
"Sensei?"
It was from the girl.
All Might looked at Aizawa, who groaned. "Alright, alright. I'll supervise the examination, make it quick however, because I have things to do…"
Aizawa then leapt back as he said to both Ichika and All Might: "Both of you'll start at opposite sides, 200 meters away from the corner of the street. The objective here is simple for you, Ichika."
He threw her some fist cuffs as he then stated to her: "Cuff All Might. You don't have to succeed, but you'll be evaluated based off of your performance here. Furthermore, that sword you used during the exams will not be allowed for now, got it?"
She nodded. "Yes Sensei."
Ichika took out the sheathe strapped to her waist, as she gently placed it on the ground. Followed by this, she walked towards the opposite side of the stadium.
Aizawa simply looked at her as he shook his head. It'll be a miracle if she even succeeds against All Might, he's not even weighed down with weights. Ah well, I'll just assess this based off how well she fights…
Ichika stepped down as she got onto her stance. This stance had seemed familiar to her so she took it. In reality, she really didn't know what she was doing.
"I'm ready, Aizawa-Sensei, All Might sensei."
Aizawa and All might both nodded, as Aizawa groaned: "Three. Two. One. Go!"
XXXXX
Ichika leapt forward immediately with the handcuffs on her waist now. As she leapt forward she disappeared in a flash.
Aizawa blinked, seeing her fast movement. She's fast. Faster than probably even Ingenium or All Might.
All Might smiled as he yelled out: "Haha! I will not be stopped by flashy tricks hero!"
She's fast. I'll give her that, Gran Torino even with his special move wouldn't be as fast as this. I can barely keep up… But…
As Ichika reappeared and punched All Might with her right fist, All Might easily blocked it with hand, catching her fist easily.
"As I thought, young Ichika. Your power… Is low. Your advantage is speed, young Ichika, however for someone who can keep up with you in both speed and power… What will you do?!"
As he let go of her fist, Ichika leapt back, allowing All Might to gain the initiative. All Might began with step forward as he then leapt towards her.
I can see it. I can see the punch.
As All Might attempted to launch himself towards her to gain a blow against Ichika, swinging his right arm towards Ichika, she gracefully dodged left. All Might, in an attempt to not let her hit him, realising he wasn't fast enough changed the trajectory of his punch towards the ground to create a shockwave, as he yelled: "Texas Smash!"
Seeing his attempt, Ichika leapt towards the air, boosted by the shockwave's power, as she summersaulted and prepared for a dive attack against All Might, aiming to attack with the increased velocity from the air.
If I don't have enough power… I'll aim for his weak point and then launch a consecutive attack against him!
Aizawa glanced at her fighting style. It reminds me of someone, a criminal fighting to kill. This isn't the flashy style of a hero. This was the style of someone who was trained to kill… So does that mean that before she came here, she was a killer?
As the dust settled, All Might was confused only momentarily before he felt the fist impact his head, knocking him back.
Thank god I was in my muscle form. If this was any normal hero, they may not have survived that. I have been too careless against Young Abarai. But regardless… She's taken the advantage alright.
Ichika then touched down on the ground gracefully and spared not a second in an attempt to knock All Might further down, as she leapt instantly to gain momentum for another punch against All Might. Punching him consecutively for 15 times, punch after punch impacting his body at where she felt instinctively was weak.
As the dust emerged, she saw a fist thrown towards her, however she instinctively dodged and leapt back. All Might groaned, as he spat out some blood. "I congratulate you… Young Abarai. To be able to damage me and score the first hits. However now, warm up is over."
He leapt at incredible speeds towards Ichika, who twitched for a second before leaping sideways to dodge All Might's charge.
He's gotten faster!
Ichika proceeded to charge back at All Might, deeming his position exposed as his body was sideways, hence she could feasibly get a kick in.
She leapt in the air as she lifted up her leg. If my fists don't have enough power… I'll have to use my leg!
Aiming to use the bottom of her foot to hit All Might's head, she launched herself towards All Might with a flying kick.
All Might however had quickly noticed this and proceeded to block with his left arm, before attempting to counter with his right. Ichika nimbly stepped on his left arm to summersault over to his other side.
She then proceeded to attempt yet another attack as she launched herself towards All Might's lower body. All Might in response launched his fist to the ground, creating a shockwave which knocked Ichika back.
Dammit! I miscalculated…
As she flew towards a building, she saw All Might fly towards her as he leapt with a massive powerful leap. A leap with such power that a shockwave was generated as he leapt out towards Ichika.
The blonde giant superhero shouted towards Ichika as he began to fly towards her. "Detroit… Smash!"
As his fist headed towards Ichika, she could feel the pressure. Something resurfaced in her… But she couldn't tell what. This pressure, the pressure from the punch.
That's Capta-
The word 'Capta' cut off from her brief flashback. Her eyes weren't open at that point, but she was brought back to reality as the wind pressure from the punch hit her, causing her to be knocked down deeper into the building.
Owww
She heard Aizawa shout loudly. "Stop! The exam is over."
So did I pass, or did I fail?
XXXXX
"You pass."
Hearing that statement greatly comforted Ichika. To know that she had made it through into UA with her own ability had put a smile on her face.
"Aizawa-sensei. I'll leave the rest to you… I have something to do."
Aizawa gave a nod to All Might as All Might leapt away towards the school.
It seems that he's running out of time. He must've took damage… Impressive for a girl like her. To think a girl without any formal training was able to do this.
"You might've passed. But there's still a-lot going towards you. You seem to have a super strength quirk, but the problem is that it's not strong enough. All Might is an extremely powerful opponent… But you have the chance to one day surpass him, at least from what I see here. What I'm saying is, your quirks hasn't reached their limits yet."
Ichika nodded in agreement as she then proceeded to looked down towards her hands. "I understand, Aizawa-sensei, but I can't seem to remember what can I do. I only remember instinctively what I can do, so I just follow it."
Aizawa replied lazily as he put his hand over Ichika's shoulder. "Abarai, that's the problem. Instinct. Your instinct is to kill, not save. And until you master saving… Until you become less of a killer, you cannot be a hero. I don't care what you were before you came here, I care about here and now. And you should too, so asides from combat training, I'll be training you to learn where to disable people - not just the killing spots that you're familiar with."
Ichika bowed at Aizawa, who looked at her, expressionless. "Thank you Aizawa-sensei. I'll do my best to learn."
Aizawa gave a smirk as he walked away. "Follow me kiddo. I'll get you situated. And in these few months before UA starts again, I'll show you. I'll show you how to be a hero student. I'll teach it to you. You'll relearn where your instinct came from and you'll relearn your way."
Ichika smiled as she followed gleefully. "Hai."

As Aizawa walked towards the dorms, All Might, Tsukachi and Nezu saw him bringing Ichika in with them. As they overlooked the dorm area from the tallest point in UA, Tsukachi asked Nezu
"Are you sure this was a good idea? This girl was able to scratch All Might and like what Aizawa said, had the instinct of a killer. Furthermore, multiple quirks… She might be an unconscious spy for All for One."
All Might shook his head. "Tsukachi. When I fought her, when we traded blows. I believe I saw her soul. I saw, what she felt inside, what she was like. And as a hero, I cannot doubt her. She has saved the life of my successor, Izuku. I must repay the favour… And furthermore, if we remove every person we suspect, does that make us better than All for One?"
Nezu nodded in agreement. "Plus. Even if she is a spy, keeping her in UA is safer, we can monitor her. We can make sure that we'll have adequate information to strike against All for One provided that he mobilises her."
Tsukachi sighed. "I see then, so how do you plan to accommodate her?"
Nezu grinned widely, as he replied cheerfully. "She doesn't have a passport, we can fake her identity easy enough. We're going to train her up, or rather have Aizawa-san train her up. I believe her level, is close to that of the Big Three… And if it is, she'll be more than capable to train with them. For provisions, she'll sleep in the teacher's dormitories and she'll stay here. We'll give her a regular amount of money, similar to salary. We'll make sure that she's sufficiently treated as a guest here in UA."
All Might looked at Detective Tsukachi and smiled: "Do not worry old friend. I have faith in Nezu and her. We will raise her well. I believe in the future, she and Young Midoriya will replace me. My time is running out… The more people to help Young Midoriya before he is fully developed the better."
Tsukachi looked up as he shook his head. "Alright then. I'll trust the two of you, for the good of hero society… Train her up."
All Might bowed as his detective friend began walking away in the dusk of night and waved, as he turned back from his muscle form to normal form.

A month had passed since Eraserhead, or rather, Aizawa had taken tutelage of Ichika. Over these few months, he had taught her much.
Aizawa set on the table, looking at the redhead who held a book, nicknamed a human's pressure points, the essential guide.
He looked at the Redhead, as "What does the point in the nape do, in what situation would you aim the nape for, how would you do it and with how much power?"
Ichika stared at Aizawa as she stared at him for a brief second. The nape… Behind the neck. A chop to the nape…
"A chop to the nape, if I'm aiming to disable a person's movement and knock them unconscious. A highly dangerous criminal with a lethal weapon, because it might cause permanent spinal damage so I will have to pull back my strength when doing so."
Aizawa gave a small smirk. "Good job. So far we've been going well with the reading, you've been able to amazingly remember where to hit. Honestly, I think whoever dropped you off trained you well. Not only do you have your own style of combat, but you've also got incredible instinct and movement. You've clearly been trained by a professional before your memory was gone."
Ichika nodded. "Yeah… That first day I was here, I just. My body just knew how to move. My brain didn't know what I was doing, my body just knew my movements."
Aizawa grinned: "That's because you were clearly trained. Muscle memory works wonders. As for whoever trained, why they dropped you off and why your memory is gone… I don't know. Hopefully we'll find out one day. Either way, let's get some lunch."
Aizawa walked towards the Kitchen to begin cooking food, with Ichika looking at the kitchen. Aizawa opened the cupboards, taking out the utensils required before he then began taking out the dough for the noodles.
I'm glad to see Aizawa-sensei is doing all this for me… I'm thankful to him for giving me a place to live in the UA staff housing, but… I just still feel uneasy.
Aizawa slowly poured the water into the pan as he began inserting materials into the pan as he opened the stove to begin boiling the water.
My sword… The only thing which came with me.
She looked at the sword hanging on the wall. She remembered what Aizawa had said about her consistently taking out the sword and hanging it with her.

Flashback
"I'm sorry Abarai, I'm going to have to take this. I can't let you keep taking a sword outside, laws exist which prevent you from wielding a sword and until we find out whether in your old life you had a registered license to wield a Katana… I can't let you have a sword besides you in public premises, short of within the UA training rooms.
Ichika protectively placed her hand on her sword with instinct extremely quickly, causing Aizawa to shake his head.
Ichika, stunned at her actions, had her eyes water. "I… I don't want to. This sword, it feels like it has such a strong connection to me. It feels like my soul is connected to it. It feels like it's apart of me. I can't, I can't let it go."
Aizawa sighed. It was the girl's 5th day of being here and today, he had to walk her outside to buy clothes. She couldn't keep using Nemuri's revealing clothes, just… No.
The thought of this young, pure and innocent girl continuing to use Nemuri's clothes as Aizawa took her around as his "niece" during his lectures, asking her to help him out was not okay. This was simply, not okay. Not only was his students looking at her, but he himself could not stand looking at her like that. He had to consistently remind himself to remove the thoughts from his head, it wasn't right for one. For two, ugh. A 31 year old virg-. Okay, I should stop thinking this, it's just uncomfortable seeing her in that outfit.
And now… More problems have surfaced. That sword, she seemed to have a connection to it. Some form of connection. Normal children, well, she was a teen, but still normal girls would sleep with plushies or other dolls. She slept with that sword. Of course the sheen was still on, but Aizawa could not see that as "normal". The sword never left her side for these few days, he was almost sure of it. It was always within a 4 meter radius of her. And that, was disturbing. Either she loved the sword because of bloodlust in her old life, or there was something deeper that her memories didn't tell her.
Ugh, what a troublesome girl. Why did I agree to do this again?
Aizawa took a deep breath as he stated in a clear, deep voice: "Listen to me."
Ichika stared at him, looking at the face of Aizawa who displayed for the first time since her stay, determination she hadn't seen before.
"I don't want to if it's about me leaving my sword."
Aizawa snapped back instantly, scolding her and shocking her at the same time. "Do you think, whoever was in your previous life would want you in this sorry state? Stop fucking around with yourself. You're being possessed by that sword, let go. If you want to move forward, then you'll leave it behind. Stop being overly reliant, stop sulking and MOVE!"
As Aizawa turned his back on the girl and began to walk, Ichika called out to him: "Wait. Aizawa-sensei! I'll go."
Aizawa looked back as he saw the girl standing straight, the sword now put down on the table in the middle of the living room of his Staff Dorm room. "I'll go if you promise that this sword can stay in this house."
Aizawa looked at the sword. Was it really a good idea to not throw away something she obsessed with? On one hand, she was obsessed with it, consistently hugging it and keeping it to her, as if it was a gospel, a drug. Throwing it may improve her mental health. But on the other hand, if he did, wouldn't it damage her already fragile mental health? She already suffered from memory loss - this sword was her one connection to the previous world. But… At least she would go outside.
He sighed. "Alright. I promise I'll let you keep your sword here. But you must go outside, got it?"
A smile lit up on her face. "Thanks!"
XXXXX
"Aizawa-sensei?"
Aizawa looked towards Ichika as he noticed her smile, with her glance focused upon her sword. Truly, that sword, it's extremely important to her…
"Thanks for letting me keep it… I just feel an extremely close connection to it. I won't become obsessed with it, but, it just makes me feel safe."
Aizawa sighed, allowing himself a small grin for the wholesome scene. "You don't need to thank me. I couldn't keep you away from it if I wanted to."
She smiled, as Aizawa walked closer to pat her head. "It's time for training. I'll be introducing you… To the Big Three today."
"Big three?"
Aizawa grinned mischievously. "That's right. The big three, the strongest student heroes in UA, and your senpais when you have your hero academia."
Ichika's wholesome smile turned wild as she heard of them, with a toothy grin donned on her face. "So… Will we get to spar?"
Aizawa nodded, as he opened the door and threw her sword at her. "You'll be allowed to use this today, so make sure that you don't mess up. It'll be embarrassing for me if I told them that you were near their level, but you just got knocked out within a second when sparring against them."
She grinned. "I won't. Uncle Might is the only one who's beaten me so far anyways, you haven't even been able to beat me!"
Aizawa sighed; it was true, he wasn't able to beat her due to not having a quirk to do so. "That's only because I can't cancel out your quirk for some reason. If I could, beating you would be easy."
She chuckled. "Excuses, excuses sensei~! I won the spar and you laid on the ground for a count of ten!"
As Aizawa opened the door, she happily took her sword off the sword rack within the dorm. Her hair tied and within a student uniform for first years in UA, to allow an easy excuse for students on why she was there, he took her towards the Gym.

After the summer, outside of UA
Izuku Midoriya, the green haired problem child and successor of All Might walked towards UA nervously.
Today's my first time going into UA academy. B-b-but I'm in the same class as Kacchan. Oh my god my oh my god oh my god what the hell am I going to do…
As he walked alongside the main road leading towards UA, he took a look at the building of UA. A H-shaped building with glass panels on it, with a courtyard filled with greens and a large backyard, the UA building was certainly nothing to scoff at.
On its left was the teacher dorms, dozens of Victorian styled mini-mansions likely capable of housing overseas students which wished to study within UA as well.
He marvelled at the size of the campus; filled with grounds for training, a large-scale gym, its own farm, a mini park inside and even an entire estate of residence inside. It was like it's own mini town, mini nation perhaps.
"Wow… UA is sure grand and large…"
I'm actually going to be a hero…
Continuing to walk forward, he didn't notice as he accidentally crossed his foot and tripped towards the ground.
Or I'll just die
As he tripped, he felt a girl holding his arm, tugging it to prevent him from falling. Whilst many other students continued moving, some others stayed to stare.
"Oh uh… I saw you were about to trip so… I used my quirk to quickly come by to help you."
As he looked on the other direction, he saw a smile on the girl's face; she was a redhead with a ponytail on her back, like him, wearing the UA uniform. On her back, it seemed that she had a whole case, likely something which stored a weapon or instrument.
Izuku attempted to open his mouth to respond to her, to thank her, but all he could say was: "T-t-t"
As she helped him stand up, she smiled brightly. "There's no need to thank me for helping you stand up! Really! I was just preventing troubles for everyone, don't be so nervous! Anyways! I need to go to class or else sensei's going to kill me for going out on my morning walk."
As he saw her use, what should be her quirk to disappear towards the front gates, his face was left expressionless. It felt like an additional soul had entered within him, life had come back.
A. A… GIRL TALKED WITH ME?!XXXXX
Regardless of the incident, Izuku hurried, attempting not to think about it as he climbed up the UA staircase.
I'm going to be late! Dammit! Why are the corridors so complicated… Ugh, there was so many people too…
Approaching classroom 1-A, he simply only heard shouting within the classroom..
"Fellow student! I must implore you not to put your leg on top of the desk! That's simply not respectful to our peers and the school!"
"Piss off glasses!"
Reaching towards the red door, which had white letters "1-A" imprinted on them, he opened it as he stepped forward, approaching his new life. His new life, as a hero.

Yeah, I skipped the training for the Big Three, we can't just have that scene in right now right. It'll be all revealed in a flashback, don't worry, you won't miss that action scene. My apologies for not updating so long, I've got grad exams in a month so it's likely I won't have an update within a month either, maybe in June there'll be an update after I graduate.
As for regarding Ichika's backstory I've decided to flesh out her relationship with Aizawa more-so by giving a scene for them, showing how much Aizawa has actually done for her. It also gives some background regarding why people in UA might know her, why she thinks in someways regarding other UA teachers and shows her residence within UA proper. Aizawa is her guardian, yes, but honestly, think of him more like an older brother instead of a father. Aizawa might be her sensei, but he's more like an older brother to her, you'll find out later on.
Her Zanpakuto will be a conflicting issue within this series, as noted she wants to stay close because all Shinigami and their Zanpakuto are linked: She just won't sleep well without her Zanpakuto, even if she's lost her memories, her Shikai and access to her inner world, her sword is still extremely close. As per memories of nobody which is suggested to be somewhat canon, even with erased memories Shinigami will still have a connection of sorts to the thing they're attached to, which is what's happening here with Ichika and her Zanpakuto.
As for how powerful she is in the UA universe, you'll have to find out! I don't plan on making her too overpowered, but compared to 1-A, yeah, she's more powerful by far obviously.
Reviews:
Poharan: There's already enough drama without another girl (Ochaco), don't really want to fit in Ochaco since 21 students uh… sort of screws up things. I might consider putting her in another hero school, but she'll likely not appear within UA itself, since that's where Ichika comes in to fit in with Izuku. Otherwise, thanks for your review!
Alexc123: Thanks! I hope too this meets your expectations, Ichika's a fresh character to write, but I hope to flush in Rukia's wild personality with a more friendly approach for her towards Izuku, since Izuku isn't like Ichigo, but expect to see traces of Rukia and Renji in her.
