Chapter 2: The Return of Love
They stared at each other for a few seconds before Loki let go. She blinked and dabbed some of the blood away. A few minutes later, Jane was at the sink rinsing the blood off of the towel and Loki was on the couch. He watched Jane closely, not letting her out of his sight. Her brown hair flowed when she walked and it was beautiful. Loki smiled accidentally when Jane returned. She looked at him suspiciously. "What are you up to?" she asked. "Nothing. Why?" he responded. She rolled her eyes like it was obvious why. "You're smiling." He frowned. "No, I'm not." She chuckled and walked off. "Good night, Loki." He smiled at her. "Good night, Jane." Jane walked into her room and out of Loki's sight. She closed the door and sat on her bed. Did Loki just smile at me? Is he up to something or was he just being nice? Jane had a lot of thoughts running through her head but she shut them out and got ready for bed. Loki was laying on the couch with his eyes closed, thinking. She is so beautiful. Ugh… Shut up Loki! She's in love with Thor! But I can't help it. She is just so amazing. Again… shut up! Loki kept arguing with himself throughout the night. In the morning Jane got dressed and headed to the kitchen. She glanced at the couch to check on Loki. He wasn't there. She looked around the house, searching for him. "Loki?!" She called. He didn't answer and Jane walked around calling him. When Jane doubled back to the kitchen after giving up, that's where she saw them. Loki looked horrible and standing behind him was Thor with his hand on Loki's shoulder. Her hand flew to her mouth before she could scream. "What in the world happened?! What is the universe are you doing here Thor?!" Thor looked at her. "I came for Loki." Jane glared at both of them, ripped Loki from Thor, and shoved him into her room. "What happened?" she asked. "Thor," replied Loki. She was not happy and they could both tell because Jane stomped between the two. She glared at Thor. "Seriously?! Great! Now it's not only the desert and sand trying to kill him!" she yelled at him. "He would probably be dead right now if it weren't for me." Thor looked at the floor. "Sorry," said Thor. Jane was still giving him a nasty glare. "He's staying here until he's well enough." Thor shook his head. "He needs to go back to Asgard, Jane. He'll cause too much trouble." Jane shook her head stubbornly. "No!" Thor sighed. "Fine. When he's well enough, he's leaving." Jane smirked. Thor sighed again.
