Chapter 2: Strange New World
Hey everyone I'm back with a new chapter. I'm glad to see so many of you like my new story. I wanted to try and make this chapter as intense and exciting to kick off this new adventure. I hope you like what I have planned. Please Review and Enjoy.

(I cut right through the wreckage And look onto the sunset Eternity I'm flying) We find ourselves on the Boiling Isles as Luz and Minato were looking out towards the castle in front of them.
(Singing right into the sky I can't live with regret Can't fade Won't break Live for tomorrow With our might We'll fight on Once again) Suddenly up in the sky a bright light engulfs them as they find themselves yanked into it.
(Instrumental) Opening their eyes they find themselves in the human realm in the middle of the big city.
(Seeking out All the lies that I've been told My tears leave me drowning) At Eda's shop, Luz and Minato were helping around her store when King leaps in and lands on the counter.
(I'm moving on You can't tell me how to be Nothing else is Stopping me) Then we find at Hexside High School where Willow, Gus and Amity were hanging with them.
(Frustrated Humiliated It fuels me To carve the road I walk on) Suddenly from the sky, a portal opens and as Enforcer led soldiers from the Emperor's Coven emerge we see Lilith eyeing it suspicious.
(I cut right through the wreckage And look onto the sunset) Putting on their Witch and Warlock outfits Luz and Minato attack blasting the magical enemies away having their backs to each other.
(Eternity I'm flying Singing right into the sky I can't live with regret) Suddenly a powerful force rains down them forcing both to create a barrier to block the attack.
(Can't fade Won't break Live for tomorrow With our might) Looking up the two of them look to see Belos atop a building glaring down at them.
(We'll fight on Once again) Flying in both Minato and Luz fire powerful magical blasts which clash with Belos creating a powerful explosion.
(Song End)
At the Boiling Isles, we see Enforcer kneeling in front of a man with a golden mask with horns and fancy robes.
"Not only did you let the Wild Witches get away but now half of my key is in their possession. I'm very disappointed, you call dare to bare the title of my Enforcer?" He asks.
"Forgive me, Emperor Belos. I will not fail you again. I will get the other half back." Enforcer said.
"It's not as simple as you think. Since we only have half, we can only do so much not to mention we won't have a clear understanding of their location." Belos said.
"Then we flush them out." Enforcer said standing up. "We'll send a creature to find them for us and when they are weakened we take them out."
"Then I leave this to you. Do not fail me again." Belos orders.
"Yes sir." Enforcer said grabbing their half of the key.
In the human realm, we find ourselves at two-story white house as Luz and Minato were sleeping on the couches.
Slowly walking past them with their half of the key in his mouth, King leaps out onto his spot on the balcony and puts the key down.
He was about to move when a Luz groaned causing him to move and knock the key over the balcony and down into a dumpster near the building.
Groaning Luz slowly opened her eyes.
"Ugh I feel like I just crashed through a building." Luz groans sitting up.
As she slowly opened her eyes she noticed they were in a strange new location.
"What in the?" Luz said when she noticed Minato sleeping nearby. "Minato!"
Moving over, Luz shakes him awake.
"Wake up right now." Luz said as he groaned.
"Uh Luz? What happened?" Minato groans.
"Minato I think we were captured." Luz said.
"What?!" Minato said looking around to see they were in the strange house.
"Oh good you two are awake." Looking over to the kitchen they see Eda sitting at the table sipping tea with Owlbert and Ayden nearby.
"Owlbert!/ Ayden!" Both witches gasp standing up.
"Whoa hey easy I come in peace." Eda said before chuckling. "Oh man I can't believe I actually said that cheesy line."
Flying over both Palismans land on their owner's staffs.
"What happened?" Luz asks.
"How did we get here?" Minato asks.
"That's what I wanna know. I was driving back late last night when you two fall out of the sky and hit my car." Eda said.
"Car?" Both said confused.
"Yeah, you know motor vehicles." Eda said but both were still confused. "Do you two not know where you are?"
Pausing both look to the balcony and run out to see they were in the middle of the city.
"Oh no…we're on Earth." Luz panics.
"We have to get back!" Minato said.
"Can you two remember how you got here?" Eda asks.
"Not really. All I remember was a battle and then a flash of light." Minato admits.
"Same, one minute we're battling an evil witch and the next thing I know I'm waking up here." Luz said.
"Then how do you two plan on getting home if you don't remember how you got here?" Eda asks sipping her drink.
"Look lady we really don't—"
"Eda, my name isn't lady it's Eda and since I basically saved your lives you at least owe me your names." Eda interrupts Luz.
"I'm Luz Noceda and this is my best friend Minato Nakamura, we're witches from a place called the Boiling Isles." Luz introduces.
"The Boiling Isles? That's a weird name." Eda said.
"It's a land where all magical things come from. Every myth you guys have is from a little bit of our world leaking into yours." Luz said.
"So what's your story? How did I end up finding you?" Eda asks.
"Our story begins with a horrible man named Emperor Belos. A horrible dictator that said only he deserved to use all kinds of magic and created a coven system to keep us down. Anyone who didn't listen was punished." Luz starts.
"But Luz and I didn't follow his system and grew up as wild witches. Our mission, keep our people out of harm's way and even take back what was taken." Minato finished.
"Meow." King said impressed.
"You two do all that? Wait…how old are you kids?" Eda asks.
"16." Luz said.
"That's insane." Eda cringed.
"Look we really appreciate you saving us and not killing us but we really have to go." Luz said as both lifted their cloaks to cover their faces.
"Wait where are you two going?" Eda asks.
"To find a way home." Minato said as they flew off the balcony.
Cringing Eda looks to King who had a nervous look on his face.
"Oh I know I'm gonna regret this." Eda groans.
Down below the garbage truck came and unloaded the trash causing the half of the key to fall in.
As the truck drove away the key slowly started to glow.
Flying above the city, Minato and Luz took in their new location.
"This place is so different from the Boiling Isles." Luz said.
"How are we going to find anything in this place?" Minato asks when suddnely they heard a stomach growl.
"Uh maybe we first get some food." Luz suggests.
"I could eat." Minato agrees.
Flying down an alley both slowly walk out.
"Whoa check out those two." Some people said looking at them.
"They must be cosplayers or something." A girl said.
"So weird." A guy said.
Walking up to a food cart, thye approach the vendor.
"Uh hey what do you got to eat?" Luz asks.
"Oh how about some tasty gyros?" He asks.
"Gyros?" Luz asks mispronouncing it.
"No Gyro. Yee-row" He said putting the emphasis on the first part.
"Yo-yo?" Minato asks.
"Yee-row." He corrects.
"Yolo?" Luz asks.
"Yee-row." He growls.
"Sergio?" Minato asks.
"GYRO!" He yells annoyed by this.
"You know what let's go find somewhere else to get food." Minato suggests.
"Good idea." Luz said as they both ran off cringing. "And these people call us weird?"
Turning a corner they see a small fruit stands by a stop and shop.
"Hey uh can we get two of those?" Luz asks.
"You got money?" The man asks.
"Uh will this cover it?" Luz asks holding out a few snails.
"What foreign money is this? Dollars only." The vendor said.
"Oh uh…we don't have dollars." Minato said.
"Then what good are you to me? Get lost." The vendor said shooing them away.
Pausing Minato and Luz look to each other realizing they would have to do this the sneaky way.
"Well thanks anyway." Minato said as they walked away and turned a corner.
"Kids, these days." The vendor said turning around not noticing Owlbert and Ayden fly in and snatch an apple before flying back to their owners.
"Thanks guys, we needed these." Luz said taking a big bite of her apple.
"We have to find a way back and fast or we're gonna starve." Minato said eating his.
As the garbage truck passed by them the half of the key glowed brightly before opening revealing a portal followed by a loud screech.
Bursting out of the portal and landing atop the garbage truck was a giant black bird creature with its wings in the shape of scythes.
Letting out a fierce cry the driver comes to a screeching halt as he giant bird flaps its wings and lifted the garbage truck into the air.
"What the heck is this?!" The driver asks in horror.
Looking in the direction of the scream Minato and Luz gasp in horror.
"A Dreadscythe?!" Luz panics.
"Where did that come from?!" Minato panics.
Swinging the truck back and forth the Dreadscythe threw it up in the air causing the garbage man to scream in horror.
Suddenly at the last second a powerful force stopped him.
"Huh?" Looking down he sees Minato and Luz holding their glowing staffs stopping him in midair much to everyone's shock.
The resulting halt causing the contents of the truck to spill making a few bags of garbage and the other half of the key fall off.
Tumbling down an alley the key glowed again resulting in an eel the size of a motorcycle appearing.
"Who are you?!" The driver gasps as Minato and Luz slowly lowered him down.
"Get away from here as fast as you can!" Minato yells before putting his goggles over his eyes.
Not needing to be told twice the man floored the truck driving away quickly.
As the Giant Eel peaked its head out to see police cars drive up.
"What the heck is going on?" A police officer asks.
"This is Unit 2301 we have some kind of mutant animal on the loose requesting backup!" His partner said.
Pulling up nearby, Eda pops her head out of her car and cringed.
"Oh mama that is one big bird." Eda cringed.
Letting out a terrifying screech blades of darkness shot out from the Dreadscythe's wings destroying the front of several buildings and the top of an highway overpass.
"How did one of the deadliest beasts on the Boiling Isles get here?" Minato asks as he and Luz flew after it.
"I don't know but we have to get—"
"The school bus!" Someone yells.
Looking up they saw a bus full of kids dangling from the hole on the highway.
"Holy!" Luz gasps flying in.
Taking out a plant glyph Luz made giant vines shoot out and catch the bus right before it fell.
"Hang on! I've got you!" Luz said using her powers to lower them safely down.
"Oh man we don't have time for this we have to get—"
"The statue!" Looking over Minato saw the Dreadscythe slash a giant statue in half causing it to fall down towards the screaming people.
"Whoa!" Flying down Minato makes a magic circle and his abomination appeared and caught the statue before it crushed everyone.
"Move." The abomination said causing everyone to run away.
Panting Minato looks to see Luz fly in next to him.
"This thing is wrecking everything. We'll never find the portal if it turns this whole city to rubble." Luz said.
"This isn't gonna be an easy fight like those Emperor's goons." Minato said.
"Well we always wanted a challenge. Here it is." Luz said when they heard screaming.
Looking ahead they saw the Dreadscythe being shot at by the police before flapping its wings blowing them away.
"We have to hold on until the Coastguard gets here." A police officer said.
"Coastguard? Do they know what's going on here?" Another cop asks.
"Do we?" He asks.
Suddenly a fireball and bolt of lightning flew in and hit the Dreadscythe causing it to fall back.
"Huh?" Looking up they saw Luz and Minato fly in and blast it again with their magic.
Roaring in anger the Dreadscythe flapped its wings and took the sky.
"Yeah that's right come and get us!" Luz said as they flew off with the Dreadscythe right behind them.
"Who are they?" A cop asks when Eda rushes past them.
In a large opening in the center of downtown, Luz and Minato fly sideways as the Dreadscythe flew past them.
Leaping off his scepter, Minato fires a torrent of water at it but the Dreadscythe dodges and rams into him knocking Minato to the ground.
Tumbling to the ground, Minato looks up to see the Dreadscythe about to crush him.
Yelping Minato rolls out of the way narrowly dodging its claws as Luz leaps in and slams her staff down on its head making it stagger back.
"Time to bring the storm." Luz said.
Nodding Minato made a magic circle and a powerful gust of wind blew causing the Dreadscythe to stand its ground trying to avoid being hurled away.
Making a light glyph Luz fires a giant ball of light blinding the giant bird causing it to stagger back.
Using this opening both witches charge in and whack in the face with their staffs.
"This thing does not go down easy." Minato said.
"And unfortunately since we don't know how it got here, we can't send it back." Luz said.
"So I guess that means we have to stop it here and now." Minato said as the Dreadscythe screeched at them.
"Looks that way." Luz said as the Dreadscythe flies in with glowing black wings.
Acting quickly both raise their staffs to block it but the overwhelming force sends the two of them flying back and crashing to the ground.
Flapping its wings, a large blade of darkness flew towards them.
Reaching into her cloak, Luz slams down an ice glyph down a wall of ice appeared taking the attack and shattering to pieces.
Panting Minato turns the ice chunks into water and blasts the Dreadscythe soaking it to the bone.
Looking to each other both knew they wouldn't last much longer.
"Hey bird brain!" Minato roars firing a bolt of lightning and when mixed with the water it made the pain that much worse before causing an explosion.
Smiling both thought it was over but from the smoke the Dreadscythe flew in and grabbed the both of them with its claws before flying into the air.
"Hey let go of us you stupid bird!" Luz said as they struggled to break free.
Acting quickly Owlbert and Ayden unscrewed themselves from their staffs and flew up towards the Dreadscythe's eyes distracting it.
Hooting and cawing both palismans poked it in the eyes causing it to cringe and let go of their owners.
Flying down quickly both birds attached themselves to the staffs allowing their owners to fly safely down landing at the base of a large skyscraper.
Catching their breath, Luz and Minato turned to face the Dreadscythe as it flew in towards them.
"Don't hold back, we have to hit it with everything we got." Minato said.
"I'm ready." Luz said as both tightened their grips on their staffs.
"Ready…now!" Luz slams a plant glyph on the ground as giant vines shot out of the ground and tied the Dreadscythe up trapping it right in front of them.
Slamming his foot down a gust of wind appeared under Minato and Luz launching them both up like rockets as they neared the top of the skyscraper.
Concentrating every last once of magic they had left a bright yellow aura surrounds Luz while a blue aura surrounded Minato as both dived straight down towards it.
Holding out their hands Luz and Minato created a giant wind blade of light as they slammed it down on the Dreadscythe destroying it.
Landing on the ground, both Minato and Luz pant heavily as they turn to see tons of people looking at them, recording them on their phones.
"Uh hi." They both said nervously.
As all the citizens look in shock Minato and Luz brace for the worst before one member in the audience slowly began to clap which encouraged others to join in before everyone was cheering and applauding them.
"Uh…you're welcome." Minato said.
"Uhm I think our work here is done." Luz said as they leaped on their staffs and quickly flew away unaware that the giant eel was slowly right behind them.
As the sun was setting, Minato and Luz land on the rooftops and high five before sitting down exhausted.
"Well, that took a lot longer than expected." Luz pants.
"Yeah who knew saving humans and fighting off a giant monster would be so difficult." Minato pants unaware of the Giant Eel sneaking up.
Suddenly Owlbert hooted getting their attention.
Tunring around they see the Eel charge in and ram into the both of them knocking them off the roof.
Crashing into an alley, Luz and Minato struggle to get up as the Giant Eel slithered towards them.
Swinging their staffs they tried to swat it away but they were too tired to fight it off as swings its tail knocking them into some trash cans.
As it lunged at them a bat whacked it in the face.
"Get away from those kids!" Eda declares standing behind it with a metal bat in one hand and a katana strapped to her hip.
"Eda?" Luz and Minato said surprised.
Growling the Eel turns to face Eda who grips her bat tight.
"Eda get away from that thing it's dangerous!" Minato warns.
"Yeah? So am I." Eda glares.
Snarling the Eel lunges at Eda who dodges and hits it in the back.
"Whoa, she's good." Luz said impressed as they saw Eda dodge the eel's attacks and whack it away.
Swinging its tail, the Eel knocks Eda to the ground and the bat out of her hands.
Cringing Eda looks up to see the Eel leap at her with its mouth open wide.
Acting quickly Eda drew her katana and slices its head from its body killing it.
"Phew, I've still got it." Eda smiles picking up her bat. "You kids okay?"
"Eda, that was incredible." Luz said.
"Where did you learn to fight like that?" Minato asks.
"Hmm a little from my time in prison, a little growing up and mostly just from doing what I do." Eda said counting with her fingers.
"How did you find us?" Luz asks.
"After you two flew off I ran down to my car and followed you. Once I saw that giant bird wrecking up the city, I knew it had to have something to do with you kids. I'm just glad you're both okay." Eda said.
"Why did you help us? We barely know each other." Minato asks.
"Well look you kids have been through a lot and…if I'm being honest, I know what it's like to be on the other side of the law. But unlike me you kids are doing it for the right reasons. I mean your idea of breaking the law is just being weird. The way I see it us weirdoes have to stick together." Eda smiles.
"Wow, thanks Eda." Luz said touched by that.
"Look how about we go back to my place and we try figuring something out on how to get you home?" Eda offers.
For the first time all day both teens smile liking that idea.
"Hey by the way what are those weapons of yours?" Luz asks as they looked at her bat and katana.
"How are you so good with them?" Minato asks.
"Hey if you kids are nice enough I might give you a few lessons." Eda smirks as they get in her car and drive away.
At Eda's place, Eda and King were watching the news.
"And no one seems to know where that strange monster came from or the mysterious heroes who slayed it. Who is this mysterious magical duo and where are they now? Are they heroes or menace?" The news anchor asks.
"Eda are you sure these clothes are necessary?" Minato calls out getting Eda's attention.
"Now that people have seen you in your witch clothes you need clothes that can help you blend in." Eda said as Luz walks out in a blue and white striped t-shirt with a dark green jacket around it, jeans and a brown beanie covering her ears. Minato walks out in a blue denim jacket, a black and orange t-shirt under, jeans, his goggles hanging around his neck and a dark green beanie covering his ears.
"This feels a little weird." Luz said.
"You'll get used to it." Eda said.
"Hopefully not for too long." Minato sighs.
Hearing this Eda sighs. "Come here." Eda said gesturing for them to sit next to her. "Look kid, you're both only 16. Most people your age don't carry the weight of the world on their shoulders. Just take your time to figure things out, okay?"
"What if more of those creatures show up?" Luz asks.
"Well, then I guess Witch and Warlock will have to step up again." Eda said getting their attention.
"Witch and Warlock?" Minato asks.
"Yeah, your alter egos. Luz is Witch and you're Warlock." Eda points.
"Hmm I like it. Simple but effective." Luz admits.
"Look I don't know how long you kids are gonna be stuck here but I know what's like to be all alone. I promise I'll do everything I can to help you kids get back home." Eda smiles.
"Thanks Eda." Minato and Luz smile.
"All I ask that in return you two help me with chores and other trivial matters." Eda said before holding out a rock. "Now turn this thing into gold."
"No." Both said almost immediately.
"What? Come on I need money to help pay for two more mouths." Eda said.
"Ugh fine." Minato reached into his pocket and pulls out the jewles and diamonds he took from the castle before they arrived. "Will this be enough?"
Seeing them Eda smiles widely. "Oh yeah that'll do just fine. In the meantime, I can make a decent buck selling this to a sushi place." Eda said holding up the Eel that tried to kill them. "You kids mind helping me chop this up?"
Licking his lips, King hoped he could get some fish. "Hey back off furball!" Eda said.
"Luz, this is place is weird." Minato said.
"Yeah, but at least it has some good people." Luz said.
Walking to the balcony, both witches look out at the city.
"We'll find a way home Luz. Whatever it takes." Minato said.
"Until then, you and me against the world." Luz said.
"Just the way I like it." Minato smiles when Owlbert and Ayden fly in and land on their shoulders. "Okay the four of us." Minato chuckles.
Little did they know back in the city as the damages from the Dreadscythe battle was being cleaned up the other half of the key was laying on the sidewalk when a bird drops down next to it.
Looking at it curiously, the bird picks it up and flies through the air with it.
