Brothers before Lovers

Gil trudged up to his dorm,heartbroken. His suit was untucked and his hair was a mess. In one hand was a heart-shaped box of chocolates, and in the other was a bunch of roses. It had been the Valentine's Day Party at Auradon Prep. Gil had asked Sophie, Merlin's daughter out to the dance. Sophie said yes,but when Gil went to find her for a slow dance, she was dancing with Jonas. The boy had ran off after, heartbroken at the thought. He opened the door and noticed his oldest friend sitting on his bed,reading a comic. Harry looked up.

"You're back early," He commented. Harry suddenly noticed the sadness in his friend's eyes and got up.

"Hey,what's wrong?" He asked softly. Gil stepped in and let Harry close the door. Gil immediately threw the flowers and chocolates at the wall. Harry frowned and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Hey,hey...Calm down. What's wrong? Tell me what happened," Harry said. Gil leapt into Harry's arm and wept.

"I-It was a-awful!" He trembled,his tears staining Harry's shirt. Harry was taken aback at first,but returned the hug. Gil moved away and looked at Harry sadly. Harry smiled and moved Gil onto his bed.

"What was so awful?" Gil wiped his tears.

"M-Me and Sophie were at the dance," Gil began.

"Everything was fine. But before the slow dance I went to get Sophie my flowers and chocolate. And when I came back s-she was dancing with Jonas!" Gil immediately went back to tears and hugged Harry. Harry was a little supprise at how Gil reacted. He must've really liked Sophie. Harry rubbed his back.

"D-Did I do something wrong?" Gil asked looking at Harry. Harry shook his head.

"Definitely not." Harry denied.

"T-Then why did she do that?" Gil asked.

"Some people are just jerks,you know? They take advantage of the kindest people, just to break their heart." Harry said,putting an arm around Gil. Harry felt a bit girly in this situation, but seeing Gil cry over a girl broke his heart too much to even care. Gil had stopped crying and was just staring off. After a moment, Gil nodded. Gil hot off the bed and grabbed the box of chocolates he threw at the wall. It was dented but fine. Gil jumped onto the bed, and placed the chocolates in the middle.

"We can't let them go to waste," He smiled. Harry smirked.

"Definitely not," Harry said as he grabbed a pillow to sit on. Harry then grabbed two video game remotes. The two boys ate and laughed at some of the stories that Harry told them about himself while playing video games. It ended in a food fight,the boys laughing and throwing chocolates and some old nacho sauce Harry had by his bed.

"Brothers before lovers,right?" Gil asked with a grin. Harry laughed and nodded. The teo boys got up and jumped off the bed and gave eachother a fist bump.

"Brothers before lovers!"
