When Izuku woke up the next morning, he groaned as the pounding headache eased its way in painfully. His eyes burned like fire every time he closed them. Stifling a yawn, he pushed himself up into his butt with his elbows and stared down at his own hands. He still couldn't believe that he was back here. At his hometown.

Sighing, he turned his body to the left, dragging his feet out of his warm bed and onto the cold wooden slabs. They creaked under his weight as he made his way over to his bag that was sitting beside the bean bag. The leather straps dug into his palms as he lifted the bag up and onto his bed. He unzipped it and grabbed an outfit he had planned the previous night before heading out. It wasn't a complicated outfit and that's what made it fit him with ease. Closing his eyes, he shook his head to make to hat fall off, and as it did; he took off the first layer of his clothing, shaking it off. The black short sleeve Chambray fell to the ground as well, landing on the ground beside his bed. Grabbing the hem of his red sweater he gripped it with his fingers tightly and pulled up, tugging the sweater off of him. He allowed it as well to fall to the ground.

He undressed down to his pants, knowing the door was still open he leaned down, grabbing the black turtle neck and shoving it on. Izuku smirked at how it was sleeveless. He then grabbed green color army pants and turned his head and opened his eyes to see Bakugo walking into the hallway, looking over and catching each other's eyes.

Collar up and white dress shirt opened, he tilted his head back and rose an eyebrow, his glasses moving a cm along with him. He held his UA uniform in his hand, his red tie around his neck untied. His eyes darkened as he looked away and smirked before he continued walking, not saying a word.

Izuku smirked back, smiling as he turned away at the same time and slid his pants down, getting ready.

I'm scared to talk. Besides last night, the last time I talked to him, he flinched and looked the other way and disappeared. I don't want him hating me, but how do I do that without Kirishima getting jealous? How am I gonna handle this? Why did De- fuck I can't call him that anymore! But wait, isn't that his hero name?

Maybe I should ask him...

Maybe not.

Does he hate me?

I wouldn't be surprised if he did.

Yawning, I sat up in the bed I slept in and looked up at the ceiling. I grabbed the side of my neck and rubbed, sighing. I just want to head back to bed, but there's school today. Getting out of bed, I walked out of the guest bedroom and walked to the bathroom, seeing my school uniform hanging at the back of the door just where I put it after I washed it yesterday. Grabbing it, I slid on the white dress shirt and hung the tie around my neck. I heard shuffling coming from Izuku's room, indicating he was awake.

Was he making breakfast or was I?

Do I have to get takeout today and just avoid him?

I should probably sleep at my own house this time.

Mother would probably be happy to see me back after a couple of months.

It's been a while since I last saw her...

Looking in the mirror, I saw the same Kaksuki I've always seen my whole life I've woken up and gotten ready for school. Clear skin, red eyes and geeky fucking glasses. Smiling, my heart rose as I thought of meeting with Kirishima today. After he left, he had texted saying he'd drive to Izuku's house to pick us up for school. The whole school knows that he's back now, but I'm not surprised at that. I'm sure Denki told everyone.

Walking out of the bathroom with my school uniform in hand, I turned in the direction of the kitchen and paused, turning my head to look over and see Izuku shirtless, exposing his abs. Since when did he get so ripped? Turning his head, our eyes connected. My heart sped up. I tilted my head back and rose an eyebrow, questioning him about his style of clothes. My glasses fell back onto my nose a bit. He's not gonna wear his uniform? Well, it makes sense, his old uniform probably doesn't fit him anymore considering how much he's changed.

Do I say something?

'Good morning?'

'Hey,'?

We all changed.

Have I?

I should probably stop thinking or I'm gonna die of a brain tumor of thinking too much cancer.

Dumbass.

Smirking, I decide on nothing to say. It would probably be a jumbled mess anyway. Who likes a fool? No one. God just shut up already, I'm gonna make myself do something I might regret. "Take a swan dive off the roof and hope for a quirk in your next life, Deku."

Remembering that, I tasted the sour coldness of those words. It tasted bitter like metal. I turned my head away from him. I can't look at him anymore or I'm gonna snap. Walking forwards I go into the kitchen and sighed silently with relief.

Maybe he didn't notice. He did.

Throwing my uniform on the counter, I turn towards the fridge door and grip it, opening it. The light made me squint my eyes. There was barely any food. I get my paycheck today so I'll go grocery shopping today after school. Closing the door, I remember my backpack was back in the guest room. Turning, I went back into the guest room and picked up my bag that sagged near the window. Throwing it over my shoulder with one strap and one shoulder, I made my way back into the kitchen. When I came back, Izuku was in the kitchen, checking the fridge.

Throwing my backpack on a bar stool, I opened it and pulled out my wallet. I had $100 on me. Grabbing a fifty out of it, I zipped both my wallet and bag up and slapped the bill on the counter behind Izuku. He turned his head and gazed down at the bill before frowning, flickering his eyes back to mine. "What is this for?" He closed the fridge door.

Grabbing my UA uniform, I slid into it, getting the tie next. "My paycheck is today. Since the others ate almost everything yesterday and the previous week, I'll have to go shopping today for more food. That-" I nodded my head towards the bill. Hopefully, he doesn't assume I think he's cheap. "-is your lunch money." I looped the tail in the right place and adjusted it so it wasn't choking me but was still stable.

"You're giving me money?" Izuku's voice held disbelief humor.

I knew it. He hates me. Avoiding his eye, there was a honk outside. Fuck, they're here. I needed my shoes. "Take it or leave it, I'm sure Kaminari would like the money." Bending down, I shuffled my shoes on properly and stood back up. My phone was still in the guest room. Groaning softly, I rushed into the room and saw my phone on the nightstand. Grabbing it and dashing, I ran out into the kitchen and opened the fridge, grabbing an apple before slamming it shut and making my way towards the door.

I stopped and looked over at Izuku who was watching me with his eyes intensely. "You coming or what?" I asked, rolling my shoulders. I took a bite of the apple and opened the door. The cold blew in easily.

Izuku frowned. "You're inviting me to come with you?"

He isn't used to me being kind to him.

I rolled my eyes and smiled, glancing outside. I saw Kirishima with his Mercedes, waving. I waved back and winked. He blushed and smiled. Turning my head back, my heart began rushing again. "So?" I smirked and rose an eyebrow, tilting my head to the side. It's a bad habit. "You go to the same school and you have the same friends as I do. I don't see a reason for you not to come."

His brow furrowed as he nodded slowly. His eyes darted to the clock above me and back to me. His muttering stopped. Making his decision he got his stuff together and ran outside with me. I turned my head back at him and smiled, confused, looking him up and down. "Aren't you fucking cold man?"

Izuku broke into a grin and laughed. "Nah, I've dealt with everyone's coldness, physical cold doesn't bother me."

I turned my head and my smile dropped.

Fuck.

Getting into the car after Kaksuki did, Izuku closed the door behind him and set his bag on the ground at his feet. He turned and buckled himself in and he reached for his phone from his bag and pulled it out. He was still weirded out by the fact that Bakugo had given him money. He wasn't used to the blonde being kind to him- to anyone in fact, so why is he now?

"So, now that All Might is considered retired, who do you think will teach you now, Midoriya?" Kirishima said, looking at the green-haired teenager through the review mirror.

Izuku frowned. "All might was never my teacher. He was my trainer to help me with my quirk, but never anything other than that-"

"But Bakubro said-"

"Bakugo was wrong." He turned his head and glared at Kaksuki who only seem to frown back at Izuku. Why would he tell Kirishima that? It was personal between just the two of them!

Sero rose an eyebrow as he turned his body towards Izuku. "All Might was your personal trainer?"

"Ye- well not exactly." Izuku rubbed the back of his neck. "I met him in middle school by accident."

"Dude, that's so cool!" Kirishima grinned.

Izuku smirked. "If you call getting pushed-" Izuku coughed and stopped talking in mid-sentence and looked away from the others, clearing his throat. "He sucked at teaching, but he still gave me lessons and I learned a great deal." His phone chimed. Looking down he smiled as he noticed that Angela was calling him.

"What do you mean by pushe-" Kirishima started, but Izuku cut him off loudly, picking up the phone.

"Hey, beautiful!" Izuku cheered, grinning. He completely changed moods. He locked eyes with Kirishima in the review mirror and Izuku winked, sticking out his tongue. Kirishima blushed and looked away, clearing his throat.

"Zuzu!" He heard Angela yell. He sighed and laughed at her, his chest feeling lighter every time he heard her speak. "You left me all alone with these fucking idiots!" She hissed. She sounded pissed.

"Oh come on, suck it up would you?" Izuku grinned and felt his cheeks hurt. "You're in fucking college, you're not leaving because of me and you knew fair and game that I wouldn't let you."

"Yes, but you missed a huge party over here!"

Izuku frowned. "What party?"

"The one we were throwing YOU, dumbass!"

Izuku laughed. "That's ok, I was tired anyway. Plus you know it would've been ruined because my uncle can't hide jack shit."

"Yeah, you're right." She suddenly gasped. "Oh!" She exclaimed. He thought he heard her clap. "How about we bring the party to you during Christmas break? It's like a month away."

Izuku frowned at this. He didn't want her skipping out on Christmas for him. "But-"

"No, but's for god's sake! I know what you're gonna say and you're gonna hear what I have to say!" She huffed her cheeks. "We're coming up to see you during Christmas break and we're partying more than ever."

Izuku sighed and rolled his eyes. "Fine. But is..my uncle coming? You know how drunk he gets."

"I'll have Kile watch him closely."

"Fine."

"Fine."

"See you soon babes."

"See you soon, love." Click. When Izuku brought the phone away from his ear and turned it off, he looked out the window. He cringed at how quiet it was. Suddenly Bakugo spoke.

"We're having lunch together and I was wondering if you wanted to come," He said, smiling. His eyebrows rose in a questioning glance. "Uraraka and Lida will be there, probably Todoroki as well-"

Izuku scoffed and shook his head. As they pulled up into the school, Izuku dug into his pocket and grabbed the 50, and flicked it over at Bakugo, disgusted. It landed on his lap. "If you're thinking I want anything to do with you, you're wrong Kaksuki." He grabbed his bag and zipped it up, opening the car door as he threw his bag over one shoulder. "You can't just earn me back with a simple sleepover and money." He took one more hard glance over at the explosive quirk user. "Stop trying to be my friend."

Within that said, Izuku turned and slammed the car door, walking away.

I wanted to grab his phone and ask him who the fuck he had just talked to and swear at him, but I held back. That wouldn't help anything. As I tore my gaze away from Izuku and out the window, I felt Kirishima's eyes on me as I listened to Izuku talking with his partner on the phone.

I can't assume if he's gay or not.

Maybe he's not.

As I thought that, my gut twisted. What if he's not into me?

I frowned. Why the fuck should I even care? I have Kiri-fucking-shima as my boyfriend! He's way better than Izuku.

By the time we are at the red lights beside the school, he hung up the phone and now there was dead awkward silence in the car. God this is awful. Plastering on a fake smile, I felt myself grow sad as I knew Kirishima saw right through me as I spoke up. "We're having lunch together and I was wondering if you wanted to come," I said, trying my best to hide my sadness as Izuku looked over at me. I grew insecure as I realized he had no kindness when he looked at me. I rose an eyebrow. "Uraraka and Lida will be there, probably Todoroki as well-"

Izuku scoffed, a cruel smile playing on his lips dryly, cutting me off. As Kirishima pulled into the school parking lot, Izuku dug into his pocket and drew his hand out, now holding the bill I had gave him earlier and flicked it towards me. It fluttered and landed on my lap. I tried to hide my anger as he looked at me disgustedly. "If you're thinking I want anything to do with you, you're wrong Kaksuki."

Did he jus-

"You can't just earn me back with just a simple sleepover and money." He threw his backpack off of the ground and onto one of his shoulders and stepped out of the car. With one more disgusted look, he rolled his eyes. "Stop trying to be my friend." Within that, he slammed the car door in my face and disappeared.

I don't know why, but I watched him walk all the way into the school before flinching at his words. He hates me completely.

"Babe you know he didn't mean i-"

Before I could think, my anger bubbled. "Shut the fuck up shitty hair." I snapped. My mind went blank and before I knew it, I was out of the car, heading in the opposite direction of the school. Maybe I'll skip today.
