When Brooklyn hadn't returned, everyone had been worried, trying to find him. But the sun was beginning to rise, and they had to call it off.
"We can't leave him alone!" Lex protested while Bronx whined piteously. Hudson gave a reassuring smile.
"I'm almost certain Brooklyn found a safe spot to roost, and will return to us in no time," he stated. Lex and Broadway looked at one another then nodded, though Goliath still had a bad feeling in his gut.
...
Brooklyn groaned, opening his heavy eyes, head aching like hell. He wanted to rub his head, but something kept his hand from doing it.
What-what's going on? What is this? Brooklyn thought, tugging his chains that held his arms up, breathing fast and panicking overtime, looking around, seeing he was in some sort of cell. He shivered at the thought of the idea of Demona being his captor, not wishing to see her again anytime soon. Wherever the heck he was, the red gargoyle knew he had to escape and get home!
Brooklyn heard his cell opening. Pulling his legs close to his chest, he watched whoever captured him come into full view, his heart thumping in fear.
Goliath's clone, Thailog stood in front of him, smirking evilly, sending shivers up Brooklyn's spine.
"I can see you woke up." Sneered Thailog. Brooklyn gulped at the idea of being held prisoner by Goliath's evil Clone. This was bad. He kept his fear to himself though, glaring back at Thailog, tugging his chains.
"Why have you taken me? What do you want? I have nothing to offer!" Roared Brooklyn boldly. Thailog just chuckled, taking Brooklyn's chin in his taloned hands. Brooklyn shuddered at being touched like this.
"I want nothing from you, but from Goliath. I now smell profit of being in your little Clan, But you stand in the way. When Goliath sees his second in command out of commission, he would have no choice but to give up the leadership position to me instead of you." Thailog purred, stroking Brooklyn's chin.
Brooklyn growled back, eyes glowing, pulling his head from Thailog's hand. If Thailog threatened his family, this crossed the line.
"Goliath won't let that happen! My family are going to find me and bring me home and stop you!" He spat, pulling again. Thailog stood, laughing mockingly.
"Just get cozy, Brooklyn, you won't be getting out of those cuffs anytime soon, I shall see you later for some fun." And with that Thailog left Brooklyn struggling and cursing at Goliath's clone.
...
Two hours went by, and Brooklyn had stopped struggling, for the cuffs had injured his wrists. But the sun was coming, maybe the stone could heal him. He waited, as the sun hit his skin. But for some reason, nothing happened.
What? He thought in panic. This wasn't supposed to happen. Why wasn't he turning? Then his cell opened again, Thailog standing there, smiling cruelly.
"Wonder why you and I aren't stone? This building has a spell I discovered that prevents gargoyles from turning to stone altogether unless you go outside. I don't want you healing from certain things right away."
Brooklyn's eyes glowed. "You-you, sick—!" He huffed, wanting to attack. Thailog pulled out a remote at his words, glaring, and Brooklyn recognized the tazer remote, swallowing in fear, as Thailog pressing the button.
It was instant agony, electricity surging from the chains, burning Brooklyn's skin, making him scream in pain.
"If you behave, I won't use this," said Thailog sickeningly, stopping the electricity flow, and Brooklyn panted, feeling tears falling down his face, but still glared.
"Tonight we'll call Goliath. Don't do anything funny, or else," Thailog said, holding the taser remote close to Brooklyn, who pulled his head away.
"Just let me g-go," he said in a pain filled voice, still feeling burns from the tazing.
"Oh but this is only beginning," Thailog taunted, holding up Brooklyn's head by his hair, then letting him go, leaving him alone.
Brooklyn curled his legs up, closing his eyes, doing his best to be strong, but it was hard especially after getting tazed up. He knew he should feel rather glad to be able to finally see the sun, but not in this situation. Heck he didn't even know where he was!
A small sniffle emitted from his throat, missing his family. Whatever else Thailog has in store, he knew he wasn't going to like it.
