Harry didn't know why he'd asked Kagome. He'd meant to ask Cho, but when he saw Kagome firing those arrows, something just came over him.

But when she came downstairs, dressed in her purple kimono, he knew he'd made the right choice.

He couldn't stop smiling. "Kagome! You look so beautiful."

"You look handsome." Kagome was grinning too, and blushing.

Kagome's hair was up in some kind of Asian design, and her kimono was purple with flowers on it. She was wearing some kind of wooden shoes.

Harry offered her his arm and looked at her apologetically. "We have to begin the dancing."

"Yes," Kagome said. "I knew that."

Harry had a feeling she really had known. Kagome seemed to just know things.

Kagome took his arm, and they moved in to the dance. Harry's movements were awkward, and yet Kagome's grace seemed to rub off on him, and soon they were moving along the dance floor like pros.

But the highlight of the night was when Kagome kissed him goodbye at the end.

Harry smiled dreamily and blushed. "What a perfect night."
