Earlier that day ...
Ben's POV
I woke up with a huge smile stuck on my face. Today is my last day here. Sure, this city is beautiful but I miss Auardon and the people in it. Also, I haven't seen Mal in three weeks for us it was very challenging but we managed to get through it. By the time she wakes up tomorrow I'll be back at the castle waiting for her. I've arranged for us to spend the whole weekend together. We've earned it, honestly. I've had two chauffeurs for this trip, Jonathon who I have known for years and Frederick who is quite new. Jonathon had to leave the trip early due to a family event. So that just left me and Frederick who kind of freaks me out.
He opened the door of the limousine that morning
" Oh you don't have to do that " I said
" Whatever " he snapped
Okay. I thought to myself. Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
Frederick started driving. Don't call him Freddie, I've learnt from my mistakes. We were on our way back to Auardon, the weather was awful. The rain was pouring down and it was very windy. Frederick soon stopped driving
" We've got a flat tire " Frederick said
" We've got a spare one in the boot of the car " I replied
" Then why are you still sitting there?" He said sarcastically " Get up and get it "
That man was very angry for whatever reason. I really cannot wait to get home to my family and fiancée. It's been a while and I really hate leaving them for long periods of time. I got out of the limousine and grabbed the spare tire from the boot. I went to the front of the car and Frederick had gone.
Funny , I didn't see him leave I thought to myself while fixing the tire. The wind and rain was so loud that I couldn't hear myself think. I was oblivious to my surroundings. Suddenly I heard a car coming. I turned around quickly and the driver headed towards me fast. I didn't have time to move...
3rd Person POV
The car hit Ben. Ben fell to the ground and winced in pain, he tried to fight against the pain but it had become too much for him . ' Stay Strong! Mal needs you! ' he thought to himself before becoming unconscious and passing out. A figure emerged from the car and abandoned the car. He couldn't risk any of this being traced back to him otherwise he'd most likely be arrested for murder if Ben was to die from this 'accident'. He didn't want to do this to him. Ben was a good man. He had never donewrong in his life but he had been offered a lot of money to take care of Ben. He was poor and this job didn't pay very well. He had a family and kids and he wanted to give them a good life even if that meant taking Ben away from his. It was too much money for him to refuse. Besides, he needed the money to pay for the wedding between himself and his girlfriend. He was greeted by an old friend of his. They shook hands before they spoke with one another
" So... did you do it ? " He asked
" Yes, he's been taken care of "
" Good "
" There's no way I could get arrested for this "
" No way, I have you sorted "
" Good. Now I believe you promised me money for doing your dirty work "
" Yes. Five hundred thousand dollars "
" Thank you Jonathon. Pleasure doing business with you " He said before walking off
" Charming, wait!! "
Chad turned around reluctantly
" What ??? "
" Do not tell anyone about this "
" I'm not stupid "
" Okay, we'll talk soon " Jonathon said before walking back to his car. He had to return to Auardon and deliver the news to a certain purple haired 'princess' !
