II.
While she was recuperating, Diana managed to watch the trial of Rayce Brown, she had found the crimes this man had committed against women and children unforgivable. There was however, one major bright spot Diana discovered whilst watching the trial, the woman that was seated at the Prosecutor's table was absolutely stunning, a wonder to behold to the Amazon. In all her years, Diana thought at this very moment that she had laid her eyes upon the pinnacle of Human beauty.
Hearing the Reporter call the woman's name, Casey Novak, Diana smiled and quickly committed the redhead's name to memory.
Casey was sitting at a cafe' sipping a latte' while watching the multitude of people walk past the Cafe'.
"Hello, Ms. Novak." an unfamiliar woman's voice said darkly. Casey looked up, seeing a woman with red hair that reminded her of a large flame with eyes to match. They were full of deadly intent.
"Who are you? I don't believe we've met." Casey said, becoming unnerved and fearful of the strange woman.
"My name is Volcana, and I'm here to kill you."
Casey ran for her life, frantic to escape the superpowered madwoman, sweat ran down Casey's back as she attempted to flee the homicidal Volcana.
Casey mentally cursed herself for not opting to choose better shoes for running for her life, but then again, she never thought she'd be chased some crazy woman who can hurl fire.
Casey fell, snapping the heel of her left shoe, rolling her right ankle in the process. A sadistic grin began spreading across Volcana's face as she floated above Casey.
Casey looked up, her green eyes full of tears and terror, thinking that this is how she will die.
Suddenly, a blue sedan came flying through the air, striking Volcana in the back before she could kill Casey.
Looking around angrily, Volcana was prepared to incinerate whoever had hit her with the car.
Looking up, Casey saw her rescuer and smiled, floating in the air with her arms folded across her chest was none other than Wonder Woman.
Despite the danger of the situation, Casey found herself blushing like a schoolgirl.
"Vile Volcana, leave this fair maiden be or face my wrath!" the Amazing Amazon said authoritatively.
